Nomads hunkering in their caravan near Murgon . We have been on the road since July 2011 and discovered caching in August 2013. We travel with a bunch of travel bugs belonging to our sons and grand children. Now we have to cope with Corona Virus ..... and social distancing. We are currently hunkered with our caravan on a farm at Manyung near Murgon.
Caching at least keeps us sane in a time of social distancing - when it is suitable. And now we have had some restrictions lifted, and we can go hiking, and national parks are open, so we are out and about again, with caution.
Today, our geomobile is at the workshop, we have a whole day to kill and a loan vehicle. We have cached in this area previously, but there were plenty of caches still for us to find.
Second time we visited this "T" intersection. Don't know why we did not find it last time. TOTT was needed to open, if we had our Geomobile, some WD40 might have helped. But we did get it open and signed the log. Thanks youngoldfella

We had loaded up Scooby Doo (Car) & the Mystery Machine (Van and mobile GEO HQ) and headed off to Kingaroy QLD for the inaugural Baconfest. After checking into the Kingaroy Holiday Park (Recommended) we were all set for 3 days of celebrating all things bacon. Although apart from the event name, most of the weekend showcased pork rather than bacon.
With all that yummy bacon and pork on offer (the “Butchers Block’ meal in the RSL bistro is certainly a vegan free zone) we needed to do a bit in between to stop the arteries hardening completely, what better way to do it than chase a few caches.
Got here just as the heavens opened, the brollies we had just bought at the $2 shop got put into action but the more it rained, the less inclined we were to press on for the smiley.
The only DNF of 20+ easy finds in between rain showers and lunch at Baconfest.
We took nothing but memories; we left nothing but footprints, and a frown.
Thanks for the cache youngoldfella.
Cheers

Sorry John, no luck today, couldn't find anything rusty, excepts the gates some 20m away. And I've done enough of these, maybe this one got away
I think it is MIA.
I think it is MIA.
Driving from our farm sit at Manyung - the long way round, to Kingaroy, pretty hot today, but thought this should be a quick drive by. Every minute a muggle passed by, so our search was continually being interrupted. We looked in the obvious spot, based on the description, but sadly dnf. Now reading some of the finds, I feel we should have searched a bit higher.
Thanks YOF for the hide and the detour.

#7781 Cache Found
After being idle and tied up with household chores over the last few weeks, It didn't take to much prodding to decide a mini road trip was in order.
After consulting the trusty map decided that a little adventure North through Yarraman, Narango and Kingaroy. And because youngoldfella places his caches along some great country roads the marjority of attempts would be on his caches, With a few others thrown in for good measure Nice cache thanks for bringing me here and for the adventure.
Thanks for the great cache and adventure youngoldfella

Smilie #3532
Day 2 collecting smiles around Nanango/Kingaroy.
After a few dramas with the Geo-beast, flat tyres & such, we were soon on the road looking for adventure.
23 of 31 found today.
A nice quick find.
Signed & replaced as found.
As we were parked on the wrong side of the road, at a t-section, we drew the attention of a passing local.
Fortunately we were done here so we had NOT affected the integrity of the cache.
Who would have expected a muggle way out here?
All good with the cache & the muggle.

Up in the Kingaroy and Nanango area for the Nanango Event. After the Event on the Saturday, spent 3 days chasing caches around the countryside and also in the towns. Seeing the different type of caches the CO's puts out in different locations that you would not do if you did not geocache. Thank you CO for bringing us to these spots. TFTC
Had an enjoyable weekend including attending Nanango's first Ever Event and searching for lots of caches. Saw wonderful scenery as well as wildlife on our travels through the back roads of the South Burnett. Thank you to all the COs who place the caches in these fascinating spots.
Thanks youngoldfella for planning, placing, submitting and maintaining these geocaches. We are thoroughly enjoying the tour they are taking us on around the countryside. Found this one safe and well and happily signed the log. Many thanks. [^][^]
Got this one down to a "T"! Great road down to the junction.
Found at 3.00pm on 4th December 2015. TFTC.

We are heading to Nanango's first event and even though it is not till Saturday we thought we would stop along the way and the get the caches that often get missed followed by the comment we will do that one, one day. We are staying at the showgrounds in Kingaroy and will head further south tomorrow. This was one of the caches we targetted and found. Nice hide. Thanks to youngoldfella for its placement and adding to our enjoyment of this location. Fav point alloc.
Easy find. Had to get creative to get to the cache as it was a bit out of my reaches.

Today was just the sort of day for another sight seeing tour around some of the roads in the local area. In our travels we found 9 many and varied caches ranging in size from micro to large. A big thank you to all the CO's for placing the caches we found today.
This one was much easier thanthe last "T' cache we attempted earlier today.
[/Blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: The container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Nothing.
Thanks for the hunt,
Regards
Ian & Penny.[font=Verdana]

#98 found on way back to Butter Factory park to try and get the cache there. Nice one.
There were peanuts everywhere in this area so we would have been nuts not to get this cache. TFTC, youngoldfella.
Taking mum on a Mother's Day caching run. Sadly it's time to head home so just grabbing those caches we drive past. Good clue! Cache was found safe and dry. TFTC, youngoldfella.
Taking the back roads to Nanango from Kingaroy, we almost chanced across this one. Pulled over at GZ, thinking there'd be no traffic, and as soon as DisSister started searching, a car appears. No worries, we'd spotted the sweet little cache by then and had it back at the car for signing. A few interested cows were the only other onlookers. TFTC, youngoldfella. =^.^=
Todays trip we moved camp & have set up at Kingaroy. All the caches we found had great co-ords & hints. The regular & large containers were packed full of swaps.
Thanks for placing this cache youngoldfella
