Will have to attempt this one again sometime, spent ages searching at final cache area and couldn't find anything this time
So happy to finally get this one finished and signed off... a few years and visits to see family and never the opportunity to complete it. today was the day!
M25/M14: we started on this cache two days ago, and in between we were finding other caches, completing Adventure Labs, but didn't really progress with the multi.Until today, bit of walking and mathematics later, we set our sights on the final location of the cache, and the cache itself. Whoo!Nice little challenging multi, log all good and signed here. TFTC.
A another quick trip up to New Plymouth for appointments, and odd jibs and so a few caches to be completed at the same time . i liked the peace poles and the clock tower in this corner of town which i visited on the way to complete the way points .
Thank you for this cache I left nothing and took nothing at this cache

Did most of the legwork for this before my event nearby. I thought I had mucked up the numbers but a couple of helpful locals confirmed my coordinates. GZ is currently fenced off but we managed to make the find without disturbing the area.
Malinkaly and I planned a road trip to go to the MEGA but Covid has postponed the event again. We decided to continue on with our planned journey making adjustments as we go with the ever-changing travel restrictions.
Greetings from Dunedin!
Thanks for the cache, Phronimos

Started this one just before we had a meeting with other cachers planned. But as the meeting was right where the multi starts... Did the tiki tour and came back just in time. Couldn't look for the final as everyone was already there. Had a great time with the local cachers and when saying our goodbyes mentioned we'd now go and find this final, but we would be to redo the maths as it brought us to a place we weren't able to reach... No they said, your maths is right. It's just a bit more effort needed to reach this cache. With some help and cheerful stories we got the cache and signed the log. Cheers folks.

It's only taken about 5 years to do this one and a visit from some Dunedin cachers to find the final. GZ is well protected at the moment but we found our way through the defences and soon had the cache in hand. Made my mark and replaced as found. All good Blenheim Bear
Did this cache after spending a rainy morning at the Len Lye Centre. We struggled a bit with it. At the first waypoint we thought we had to calculate the word values and ended up on the wrong street... At WP2 the number on the door seemed too big to obtain a 3 digit number tried one way, nothing at the calculated waypoint, tried another way and yep looks like the right place. No worries at WP3 & 4 but the final took some time to unravel until we read again the description and found a clue in it. Nice to be able to finish this multi. TFTC
Round the world trip Made it to New Zealand and will be traveling all around the Islands. Two days in New Plymouth now. Thanks for bringing up this cache!
Vielen Dank fürs legen und pflegen und beste Grüße aus Leipzig!

Christmas is no time to put our feet up - got work to do! Caches to find! Decided to make today a day of multis, so here we are. Roads are strangely quiet today...
Had a few problems with this one - WP 1 says check the north side - there is no north side. There is a north corner... Luckily the word count resolved the dispute of wehter we should use the NE or the NW side. Then at WP2 the answer is a 4 digit number, but the number on the door is only two digits. I think the CO needs to do a math check here. We produced three sets of coordinates by juggling the 2 digits in various ways, and got a sensible location which turned out to correct except 12m from GZ. Not sure why - we juggled the coords badly? Too much cloud when the CO took his reading? Anyway, the dragon found the cache, so alls well that ends well
Day thirteen of Taybeedragon's and my big 3 week circumnavicaching trip around Mt Taranaki, starting from Palmerston North. Today is wandering about New Plymouth. It's Christmas! Merry Happy Birthday everyone!!
Highlights:
* 3 weeks, 536 caches
* Mt Taranaki had been removed for washing, which was a bit of a shame. Even after it had been returned we were only allowed to see it for it was less than half an hour a day.
* High percentage of caches with crappy coordinates
* Amazing Pukekura Park
* AMAZING Pukekura Park light show!
* Pukeiti Gardens
* Lots of cache maintenance!

Planning for the [NZ Mega 2020](http://nzmega.com) event is well underway. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, 23 to 26 October 2020. It's going to be a massive celebration of geocaching:
* 20 years of geocaching worldwide.
* 20 years since New Zealand had the very first geocache hidden outside of USA.
* And it's 2020 - all the 20s!
Talk to your geo-friends and start planning to be part of [this event](https://coord.info/GC87777) - you won't want to miss it!

We wandered round capturing all the info at the various waypoints. Had a few problems with different options but finally came up with a viable option and off we go. Shear luck around GZ snagging this one. Cheers.
Day 13- Merry Christmas, Wednesday 25 December. Around New Plymouth again today.
The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby and I are spending Christmas exploring Taranaki via geocaching. Its been an amazing 3 week adventure. Rattls BBQ was a great event, meeting many other cachers. But also managed to fit in a few more events, especially New Years Day celebrating the start of 2020. Lots of caches - over 500. Lots of cache maintenance. Lots and lots of kilometers. And lots of amazing places visited along our journey. Mt Taranaki remained elusive for much of our travels and the caches on it at the top. Loved Pukekura Park Night Lights Show and the the Wooden Mechanical toy exhibition at NP Info centre.

A great way to finish off the week. Came back because last time it was dark and with slightly off with our waypoint 3 coordinates we missed the last numbers to pick up. We had to widen our search from the final coordinates pleased as punch. T4TC
Yay took a bit but got there in the end hubby was the one that made the find after getting off his phone call.
Thanks for the multi and the placement

first one for the year, hope a good start, now understand a statement made to me by cache owner, did bring me a smile, TFTC
Managed to find a park near the start and took time out from Christmas chaos to do this multi and really enjoyed it. I didn't know the peace poles or the special olive tree were there. A few muggles about GZ but the cache was retrievable without drawing attention. Thanks.

I am down in New Plymouth for the weekend and while I am here I thought it would be good to collect as many geocaches as possible to try and clear some of the map before I leave. Today I am here for the entire day so I thought that I could get as many geocaches found as possible hoping that the rain does start until tonight, it did eventually begin raining and I had to go home but I did manage to found quite a lot of geocaches before so.
I started this geocache when I was here finding the virtual geocache near the first stage, but the second stage was a bit far out so, I continued on my journey and found this one on my way back. After racing from stage to stage collecting information, I arrived at the fourth stage and collected the last letters, it was at that point that I realised that you needed to store all the letters because some of them were used for the final stage. I had racked my brain to be able to try and remember out what all the other letters were, but I eventually got them and took the 'long' journey to the final stage. The geocache was quickly located and signed, I had a bit of trouble getting the geocache in and out of its hiding place; it was in a tight space, but still managed. TFTC, I rather enjoyed this multi and would like to see more multi geocaches like this one!!

Woohoo - pleased to have found this one today. A rainy yuk day in New Plymouth so we decided to do this cache, fitted around a game of ten pin bowling. Didn't realize that there were quite so many waypoints, but it was a lot of fun. TFTC
Three years ago when I was newish to geocaching I went on walk to find this cache one lunch time. Not realising what was involved in a multi at the time, I soon ran out of time and didn't manage to complete it.
Three years later and of course I don't have my original notes so we set out and started the tour from scratch, this time as a night cache
Momentarily confused by the multiplication of a door number as I was not sure if the resulting 4 digit number needed a digit dropped or if the door number had to be broken down to a single digit first, both produced viable coordinates but only one contained another peace pole.
Soon made our way around the circuit and to the final reveal where I was rewarded with a relatively quick find.
Cheers

After we arrived in New Plymouth we parked the car and had a look in town. We saw this Multi cache and decided to give it a try although it was almost sunset. The beginning was a bit tricky but after working out the second WP it became easier. Quickly we got to GZ. It was already dark. We didn't want to look too suspicious so we didn't use our torch. We already decided to come back tomorrow but after using our hands to feel around we found the little container. Cool!
Thanks for showing! Tftc

Started this multicache about a year ago just picking the information on one waypoint at a time as time allowed. I had decided that I would take this approach with doing multi caches as it made it a lot easier for me as I was able to then make sure that I had the correct information and if not I was able to go back to the waypoint in question.
This multicache being a five stage one wasnt too difficult but it still took time as I got each answer I double checked it and then once I was back in New Plymouth I went to the next waypoint and got the answers to the next question and then so on....
I finally had an answer that made sense a couple of months back but as time was of a limit I wasnt able to get to the final location until today. After finishing my last meeting in town it was getting to a time that I was getting a bit hungry and decided that it was time to go and get some lunch or find a cache. I decided on the latter, decided that I would drive a bit closer to GZ and as I neared it I noticed that there was a free parking spot not too far away so I decided to make use of it, the only downside to this was it was a pay parking spot[xx(], so I decided that I might as well pay for a bit longer and see if I could pick up a couple of extra caches.
The walk over to GZ didnt take too long and once there I had a quick look around for clever hiding spots, after a short search I soon found something and as I retrieved the cache there was a sudden loud noise, bugger, not the spot to be when this happens, well thats what happens when you get the timing wrong. Managed to sign the logbook without any further interruptions and then returned back as found.
Thanks for placing this clever little multi here and for bringing me to the spots, really enjoyed the waypoint and learnt some more thing about the history. TFTC TNLNSL (12333)

Can't say we got far enough to claim a DNF. Thought there was enough time before the matinee of Mary Poppins today, but after calculating the first waypoint and ending up in a private car park with no doorway in sight, we knew we must have done something wrong. Perhaps next trip up here...
In light of the damaged first waypoint, I have added an extra hint to the description.
While doing some research for a new cache I decided to grab this one, while in the area. Clever hide. TFTC
GPS wandering a bit today, but still managed to find it without a clue for the final spot. TFTC
Rain has finally cleared up enough for a late afternoon hunt. What better that an inner city multi on a Sunday! Had a good walk around solving these coords and found the final pretty quickly considering all the foot traffic that decided to turn up at the same time so some super stealth skills was involved. TFTM
meant to log this a while ago, looked at it when we needed a multi for the GC Mission. WP1 signage has been vandalised and is now hard to read. CO to check please.. BB
Got there in the end after forgetting to do step 4!
Relogged to get the Souvenir as my profile had UK date and time!!

I collected the info for this over 2 weeks as when doing it first my GPS died on the way to wp3 Grrr. I had an inkling wp2 would be exactly where I thought but never the less I plugged the info into GPS and off I went, yup I was right. Today I found the rest of the info and was searching in the rain for about 10 minutes and was heading back to the car when I took a step back from what I was doing and really thought about it. Ah yes there it is, didn't want to come out but sheer force was applied and it was in my hands. Thnks for the great cache and the interesting history, this is probably what I enjoy most about geocaching - learning that there is more to random trees/signs and buildings which you would never normally notice! Note at wp1 one of the required words is no longer there in full bit you can still kind of make it out. A fav point awardrd
Found it my fourteen year old daughter and I had a lot of fun doing this, ended up in a couple of wrong places but not a bad effort for us 'new too multi caches' people
Woohoo! My first multi cache. So good history I didn't even know and places I'd not though about before. TFTC.
Finally! I thought I'd checked the spot and when I couldn't find it I was going to start all over again cause I thought I must have part of co-ords wrong...No, I wasn't looking well enough. A smilie now
30 December 2015 12:17. Number 2902. As I was having a day where I seemed unable to calculate or key in details accurately, this took me a bit longer than it should have! A nice little multi, and it seems that there is history on every corner here. TFTC
#10466. We enjoyed a peaceful walk, and didn't have too much trouble finding the info needed. Once at the final, it wasn't too hard to spot the nicely hidden cache. Then it was time to go and have a look at the Len Lye Centre. TFTC.
We arrived at the Len Lye centre a bit too early as we didn't realise it opened at 10am, so looked at our GPSrs to see if there were any nearby caches. This multi started across the road, so was ideal. We had an enjoyable wander around collecting the information, everything was pretty straightforward except at the first WP, parts of the signage are missing but it was easy enough to work out the missing letters.
We were pleased to see that we didn't have to walk too far from our intended destination too. After widening our search area, we found the well hidden cache. Thank you for the interesting mini tour and TFTC.

Cache replaced with new container and replacement waterproof log (easier to write on). All go again. Enjoy!
Temporarily disabling while I replace the container. Thanks for the heads-up agcnz
Went for a walk with Mrs agcnz on a beautiful fine Taranaki morning while waiting for the Len Lye centre to open. An interesting tour around parts of the city that I hadn't been to for quite a long time. No problems with the questions and each waypoint was a quick find. When I came to GZ I had a bit of a look in likely places and then spotted the cache lying on the ground. It really needs a stronger attachment device, what it has at present isn't very good at all. In addition, the lid had rusted so that application of a little brute force and ignorance was necessary to get to the logbook. But after that, all OK. Signed log, replaced cache where I thought it should belong. Thanks for the enjoyable cache and for the tour!
Took this cache very gently, and enjoyed checking out some familiar spots, plus a bit of extra history. Finally completed the tour today. Nearly defeated by the cache container, which resisted fiercely. All good in the end - a fun cache. TFTC
Checked the cache today while in the area. All good although magnet seem weaker (now there's a spoiler)!
The recent torrential rain had cut New Plymouth off from the rest of the country, so a road trip was probably out of the question. I made the most of a fine late morning/early afternoon and parked down at the port so that I could take the foreshore walkway into town and have a crack at a couple of multi-stage caches.
This one was fairly straight forward except for one stage when I miss-entered the coordinates and found myself in the petrol station forecourt.
I notice the starting point has been damaged and some words are missing at the end of the sentence, making counting a little trickier and calling my limited french to come into play.
thanks for the cache Phronimos.

1st multi, followed all the clues but rang out of time for the final reveal. Will follow up next time I'm back in the Naki.
After a long meandering walk to many useless places because inadvertently punched in the wrong co-ords eventually found after visiting many peace poles we didn't know were here. SL TFTC
Yes! We found it! Followed the clues in heavy rain , came back when it was sunny to find the cache! Success! TFTC and thanks for peaceful journey!
#6392. Nice walk starting from Robe Street Lawn this afternoon. Interesting highlights of the theme around town. GZ itself was relatively quiet. Found after a short search. Well hidden. The cache itself was in excellent condition. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log. Thanks for the cache.
Great little walk around town this afternoon and enjoyed visiting the various points... The final had us briefly stumped until NZPRICETAG zero'd in on where we needed to be... TFTC
A good day for a walk around the block. Took us to a couple of places that we'd not noticed before. Thanks
Another well-constructed multi based around an interesting theme. Waypoint co-ords were spot on today. tftc Phronimos
Out and about with the twin doing a bit of street walking so to get a Piece of the action and to keep the peace we bounce about the multi and had a wonderful time the the lunch time crowd TFTC have a fav
{FTF} Very interesting multi. The co ordinates for the second waypoint where across the road for me however after a short walk looking for a door with a plaque on the right I found the correct place. Interestingly I was actually going to place my first cache in this location.
