Fourth day of the new year and we have signed the log for this cache. Thanks for arranging and giving us the opportunity to explore.
Heading to Sydney to pick up So and had some time to spare so I detoured for some caches.
A quick stop and a quick find in the obvious spot - TFTC

Actually found a couple of days ago after spending a wonderful day out with Meritonnn chasing hides on Mt Jellore. I’ve attempted this hide on two other occasions only to be foiled by muggles. No problem this time, and we quickly managed to track this down.

OCW Sweetmanda.
Sweetmanda has wanted to hike to Mt Jellore for some time and of course the opportunity to grab this series of caches along the way made for a nice bonus. During the week he made plans to get out there this Saturday and was kind enough to invite me to join him. Setting off from home at 5:30am, we had a smooth run along the Hume and managed to set off along the track at Mt Jellore Flora Reserve by 6:30am. The bush is really something at this time of day - so still and beautiful, the air crisp and clean. Heading out early, it was quite pleasant temperature wise on the way to the summit, but warmed up considerably by the time we made our return trek (see what I did there?!) - boy was it a tough slog back in the heat nearing midday. Nonetheless, this was a really enjoyable hike in good company in a lovely bushland setting.
Once the hike was completed, naturally we thought to check the map and grab a few other caches within the vicinity. Sweetmanda had had a couple of attempts of this one previously but had been muggled out. No issues today and the cache was quickly spotted. TFTC!

Firstly the cache is soaked and a new log is needed.
The last time I stopped at this rest stop was 51 yrs ago. I believe there was a picnic shed or a table there then. 4 senior scouts heading for Bungonia Caves got lost in Campbelltown and went through Appin instead of the Hume Hwy. We stopped here to sleep the night and went on in the morning.

A nice quick grab on the way past. I didn't have my swag pack with me today so couldn't add a sticker.

After a bit of a fail at the crags we stopped here to make the find. Plenty of parking at GZ made for a pleasant caching experience
After todays outings Dino and I re-energized to go out and do some more close by caches.
This was one of them.
Quick find, all in good order.
Thank you bestybro for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

Well, it’s been a while since I had an all day Cache binge, and also since I headed to the Southern Highlands- well lately the two things go hand in hand.
So to keep my finds moving I was hoping for at least 15 finds today.
But another problem... I only have 207 points n the *Cache Carnival* event. And I need 500 by April 15 to ge he final souvenir. So I was also hoping for at least 100 points today, and targeted a few caches worth 25 points each. Looks like I got a touch over 130!
Pity I had two DNFs in the mix.
Still, I met the day’s targets. Can’t say fairer than that.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Stopped here to finalise my targets for the day,, and ensure I had them loaded to an off-line list, in case I lost phone reception - which I did soon enough.
While here I noticed there was a cache 50 metres away. Right near a parked car and a man - well I knew what he was doing...
He left and I moved on GZ. And saw nothing. Circled and spotted the obvious from a different perspective.
Made the grab, completed signing duties and replaced.
Easy start to the day.

Tftc! Down here for work and having a break when i decided to open my app to see if any GCs were around.
A quick find on a lovely Sunday afternoon the area could do with a bit of a clean up. TFTf
**This Cache:**
Seems to be a lot of people hanging around in their cars on this gravel. Luckily only one car when I found the cache, but when I drove past a second time after grabbing a couple more caches there were two cars parked with people! One of them was metres from GZ! Glad I grabbed it first!
A quick find here today, thanks for placing

**The Day:**
Day 2 of an extended weekend caching trip, and a family member's 50th up in Sydney!
Started off a bit later today given that I was already at my destination and had a good rest the night before. Today consisted off cleaning up the remaining puzzles, highly favourited caches and golden oldies in the area. As well as all the other traditional caches I came across along the way! Another successful day of caching, with 51 cache finds all up!
Thanks to all the CO's! See individual log about each cache above ^^

First cache of the morning and a bit of a drive by and that was good as it starting to rain a bit but we pushed onwards.
another away trip from Canberra up into the highlands along with StrangeTrousers, Tankengine and Darkside Dan. The day started a bit damp but thankfully improved to a perfect weather for walking around this area.
A good variety of cache types in this area and all in good condition
thanks bestybro

#3977 1st for today
I wanted to do something special for my 4000th find, so I gathered a few likely suspects (DarkSideDan, mtrax and Tankengine) for a hastily arranged trip up to Mittagong to tackle the Box Vale track. DSD and I were here a few weeks ago to do the Crow series just across the chasm & we thought we must return. Good to finally make good on that.
It started out a bit damp with some unforcasted rain early on, but it cleared to be a fine and cool day, just perfect for a long walk. I loved following the old tramway, especially the tunnel. The views down the end were amazing and we could almost see it was a long way down. Great to final see this place.
Thanks to my fellow cachers today for helping me celebrate this special occasion in such a great spot.
A quick park & grab in the rain to start the day.
Thanks to the COs: bestybro

Travlling home from the muster mega, spending a couple of nights in Berrima we had to bypass this one yesterday as a worker was there moving gravel but today all quiet so we swooped in for a quick find. Tftc
Spent about 15 minutes looking with no luck. Gps had me in the center
of a metal heap. Would not be there. Others may do better

Before taking care of more Box Vale caches I had a quick stop at this one . No success by checking the object from above, but after a little "walk around" the box was found and the logbook signed .

after a pleasant walk in the Boxvale bushland area it was time for few caches on the way to Berrima for lunch. its nice to see a cache placed in a not immediately obvious spot, not long before I did find it however and we were soon on our way again. tftc bestybro
Found with good friends during a camping adventure in kangaroo valley lots of laughs blistering heat and unforgetable sunburn
After a very satisfying (and HOT) weekend of camping with Outdoor Adventure Church in the Valley, after geocaching our way home we thought we were done for the day - that is till we had to stop for directions and realised we were stopped just next to a cache! PM went for a short run saw the geocache at bottom of the stump, not realising it was it not just a patch of light she walked away. So Cryp1 and I were off to help, only for me to find it in the first place she looked! tftc
Went for a short run and saw the geocache at the first place I looked, not realising at first that was indeed what it was, not just a patch of light. Great spot! XD
A nice quick find this summer day. Got out early with the geokids to find a few caches. Thanks for the cache
Having spent the night camping in Wingello State Forest for the event this morning, delloro and I set off to get our smiley totals up for the day. While MrD checked out the route to our next cache, I went looking for this one. Easy find. TFTC
Each year I follow the Aust Solo Speedway Championships which are held over four meetings. This year those meetings are at Kurri Kurri nsw, Undera vic, Mildura vic, and Gillman sa.
It only seems sensible to do some geocaching along the way. It helps to break the driving and I get a lot of enjoyment from it.
Please excuse this generic log as there are too many to do them individually, but I certainly appreciate the dedicated work of all the COs in providing us with this great hobby.

No better way to spend a gorgeous New Year's Day than out caching, of course, with fitzy_1965. We decided to try and pick up a few out of the way caches and a couple of multi's. Ended up with 12 for the day....and a souvenir!
Quick park and grab for me. fitzy had previously found this one so stayed in the car.

OK - Merry Chirstmas what better way to spend chirstmas than in the car with family going for a drive that you did 2 years ago and lost the relevant information for. So we counted 12 for the day this being number 1.
Thanks bestybro for placing this and allowing us to start our day off with a nice easy find.
Grand Cache count = 500 total consisting of 473 Traditionals, 16 Multi, 5 Mystery, 4 Earth and 2 Virtual.
