Tha! Found it after a big search. Sneaky , I agree, but at least now I know a new type of cache.
In a certain way not so difficult, but if like me you are a "NEW researcher", quite difficult, but fun and ingenious!
Very tricky. I looked for quite a while, it flat out had me confused. Had to get the nonGeo hubby, who has great observation skills to find it. Thanks Allykat2892 for this hide. Travelling SWA from NSW.
Took us a while..didn't have a pen to sign the log but took a pic. However as someone else hinted inplaon sight but needed to use a different perspective...darn there it was thankyou.
Second attempt at this one today. Bought the geomum back with us and she soon had CIH. Took photo as proof of find and sent to CO. TFTC
Its something to see one of Australias first wind turbines. No where near as big as ours back home. Tricky cache but have seen these types before. TFTC
We called in here this morning and I'm not sure why, but I was thinking the cache was on the opposite side of the road. Weve come back this evening for another look and I quickly found the cache. Ive got to hide like this one so it ended up being an easy find.
A 4km foreshore walk and a cache too. Sandyofthesea and I are heading back to WA via Wudinna, Nullabour Cliffs and Esperance.baman_5, I found Australia's First "Turbo" today. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.
Cheers for that quick find only because Ive seen this type before may trick a beginner
Spotted straight away from the right angle. Travelling with our caravan to WAGB from Echuca, Vic. Stayed a couple of nights at a park nearby in this beautiful town. Clearing a few LGA's as we go. TFTC SL TB's visited
#5673 - Nabbed this one after indulging in some local fresh fish & chips for lunch in the park across the road. Some cool history. We visited the actual location of the wind farm a few hours later. TFTC baman 5.
After a few trips to Esperance and a number of times looking for this we finally found it
Find number 13707 at 1:58:17PM on Friday the 30 August 2024We're on our way to WA Goes Big, travelling from Croydon (Melbourne, Victoria) with a caravan in tow and making a leasurely caching holiday across the Nullarbor and back.Spending a couple of nights at Esperance relaxing (sort of) after many days of driving, so today we decided to go for (yep) a drive to checkout the Lucky Bay area as well as a few areas around town on our return.A nice quick find here today (about 3 seconds) as I have one just like this at home **Thanks for placing this cache baman_5**---*WOW, so much happening here in Victoria*Dont forget to log your will attend for Victorias first ever Block Party in March 2025, the [**The Sunbury Event**](https://coord.info/GCAP417).Theres also all those lists of amazing geocaches at [Geocaching Victorias List webpage]( https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/information/great-caching-lists), go check them out.
I thought a night cache would be less conspicuous. Not really, not in a big coat and dreadlocks. Hunting everywhere with my phone torch probably looked more like I was picking up something sus.Last time I was in this park the local paper was interviewing me during the walk around Australia for suicide prevention. That interview resulted in a score of roadside counselling sessions helping people start their own paths to mental health recovery. It was also in this park I gave a few homeless people some of my extra gear, tent, sleeping bag, rain gear, after Mont sent me over a new kit more suitable for the rain, wind and sub-zero outback nights. Good memories.TFTC
I love a good hide. This one fits.Interesting story of the windfarms.TFTC
My son found this cache several years ago and was always quite happy about having a WA cache for so long and I hadn't! Today this cache was chosen for its accessibility in the rain and dark and im now pleased this was the caxhe he had Thankfully found quickly and back to the car nice and dry. This morning, after an explore about Jerramungup, we made our way east. We arrived in Ravensthorpe and a look at our options, Hopetoun was an unexpected but welcomed one. Nice little town and lovely warm weather and still with no wind so very pleasant. A few caches, an AL and lunch by the shore, a nice way to spend my birthday. A slight change to the day with loud thunder. That sure packed a punch, lots of lightning and grey clouds over Fitzgerald National Park. Our caching took us in that direction, managed to work around the heavy downpour and stay dry. Stunning peaks and coastal scenery and worth the entry fee. Dodged most of the crazy lightning but one vault that barely missed, that was a something! Into Esperance to round out the day of caching and exploring, thanks for your cache!
Took a afternoon stroll from the caravan park where I am staying for 2 nights, a quick find, very clever! TFTC
TFTC Esperance is a really lovely town we visited in winter so there are a lot less tourists around
Tftc found whilst spending a few days in Esperance exploring the beautiful beaches
Took a while but eventually spotted the clever camo. Always nice to find caches which have had effort put into them. Thanks.
Found at 12:07 PM GAFF1.We were here in July 2015 with a group of travellers and had a go at this cache and couldn't find it. So today as we were just passing by, we decided to see if we have gotten any better at finding caches after 9 more years of experience - and yep we have thank goodness! Found it in the very first spot that we looked at Thanks to baman_5Feedback: That sort of a cache container should be listed as an "Other" in the Size category.
Took us a while. The kids' first find. Very exciting and well hidden. Almost gave up.
Tftc. Took a little bit of time, almost gave up, then glanced back and spotted it. Good one
15 years doesn't sound like a long use-by date but Australia's first turbo makes an interesting sculpture in the park. The hint included a lot of sneaky hides... we were pleased we didn't need to check them all. TFTC baman_5.
WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 21 - Esperance Day. Today turned out to be a long day, with lots of caching and lots of chores to do all over town. When it came to caching, I found myself doing several short walks, but found quite a few great headlands and interesting rock formations. The air temperature was down, but it was hot out in the sun. I ended my day with a drink in a bar overlooking the bay on the esplanade. I'm off further around to the west tomorrow, hopefully another county as well.I am sire I spent ages looking for a cache right here ages and ages ago. Today I was happy to spy what I was looking for as I approached, so I jest had to get to the right spot to access and sign the log. Thanks for the cache baman_546781.6 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 2013 Treasure Chest #259**Albida**
Ok. Our travels we found ourselves in Esperance and took the opportunity to grab some cache, this had us a little stumped for a minute but then that aha moment, thanks for placing this fun cache
We arrived in Esperance this afternoon after a few days crossing the Nullarbor. It is lovely to be by the coast again and having a supermarket almost seems like luxury. After heading to our campsite and setting up, we decided to come for a drive around town and have a look at a few areas. We found this one quickly and have added our name to the log. Thanks baman_5 Domsky
TFTC, quick find after finding something not the same and standing out
Thank you!! Kids love it. Found on an evening walk after a swim. No pen so we didnt sign.
After a walk around town we came here to have look for this cache. Was look elsewhere to start but I eventually spotted it and made the find. Thanks for the log
Passeggiata prima di cena. Arrivo al GZ, cerco metodicamente ogni possibile nascondiglio per un magnetico e finalmente lo trovo. Una firma e rimetto tutto a posto. Ciao e grazie. #10804Walk before dinner. I arrive at the GZ, methodically search every possible hiding place for a magnetic and finally find it. A signature and I'll put everything back in place. Hello and thanks. #10804
