Visited here on the way to work. Bit of a detour, but so worth it. Early morning sun, dry ground, great views. Scratched around a bit, tweaked the elevation, then TD got his high after sighting something a bit different. Signed and rehid. Awesome start to the day. Thought I heard someone yell ‘Four!’ on the way out. Heads up, or heads down? An FP from me. TFTC
About to give up but looked a little closer and there it was. Brilliant! A favourite for this one
Getting contact lenses today. Hopefully this will help with finding caches. Filling in time between optometrist appointments.
After yesterday’s heavy thunderstorms I enjoyed today's limited dry hours for some geocaching. Muddy walk to GZ but easy find, but lid is still missing. TFTC
Team Welsh rang up and suggested another day of caching. Who was I to turn down an invitation like that. Luckily I am not vertically challenged.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
Nice one! Couldn't see it at first until we thought to look a little higher. TFTC
Yay!
Found easily on second visit !
Luckily I had a certain TOTT in car as it was needed...A few people around ...coming to view sunset out at the Point ...but they took no notice of my antics !
Still no lid but paper inside is dry ! Brilliant thanks avoyager .

Out with SethRaven, what_fibble, Panda0505 plus a few more today. Took a little bit of looking, pleased to have some teenagers with me as no chance of getting what I spotted. TFTC
Out today with Fencarrows (incl What Fibble and Panda0505) on a little quest . . . .we have 5 boys in tow between us . . . . . well we found the "one" . . . . . . looked and thought and I re-read the prev finds and had an AHA moment . . . . . shared with the others and then came the cry of FOUND IT!! Whoop whoop . . . . . Panda0505 retrieved - Ms Fencarrrows signed and What Fibble replaced . . . . . . TFTC . . . . . deserves a fav from me
We decided to go for some walks around Buckland Beach today. Naturally for me, this also meant doing some geocaching. This was a sneaky little hide that took a bit longer than expected to find. TFTC!
The lid/camo has gone missing. It still took us a few minutes to spot it though! We could not get the log out so I have sent a photo as proof. TFTC.
Certainly helps having Kiwi along for this one. Scotty & Kiwiscot were a little short of the mark. TFTC
OMG very clever camo got a bit worried we wouldn't find this one TFTC haven't been to this spot in many years
Sorry ...no find here today...
Was here for about 40 minutes ......must be blind !
Lovely views though !

Dad of the Kiwi Rayners first cache ever! We are so proud we had brunch to celebrate!
With the recent finds, I thought I'd give this cache a second try today. I still didn't see it right away, but then did a thorough and methodical search and came up with the cache. TFTC.
Great camo!! Just about to give up and something caught me eye. Great views as well. TFTC.
Have sorted a replacement container & applied its camo. Will be replaced this week.
Eagle eyed nana found this one and has a scratch to show for it. Log very wet and disintegrating. Needs a cap maybe?
Very clever, got lucky and spotted it after a short search, you've really got to look carefully for this one TFTC
Thank god for Bertie blowfish in fine form today with her eagle eyes. I was ready to give up. Signed P&B for minimal space.Tftc
Not a quick find by any means! We searched high & low...and round about...and then high & low again.
Had almost decided we might have to give up, when at last, hey presto...& there it was!
(Signed P & B) Tftc

Finally got back to make this find. Top missing off the cache, but still in place. Thanks.
After spending a couple of days up north for work it was back to off home, but due to having a meeting at 8am it was a case of staying in Highbrook for the evening (rather than face 2 lots of rush hour traffic) so this gave me an opportunity to grab a few caches along here that I've been wanting to collect for some time.
Walked around and around and what felt like around, before coming up with the cache, there all as expected. why didn't I see that earlier?????
Thanks for the placement, thanks for the cache

This one took a bit of looking to spot, just about to give up and then saw it. TFTC
Today yorkshirekiwi83 and I decided to return to East Auckland for another part day of caching - basically continuing where we left off yesterday and the weather was even hotter than yesterdays! This was another cache that we skipped yesterday, due to muggles right at GZ, so we returned today while the area was nice and quiet. It took a bit of hunting to spot this sneaky little cache, but we got there in the end! TFTC!

Vistra and I werent happy with our find numbers the day before due to the heat, so another early morning and back out there today to get our numbers, was searching and searching, read others comments and searched again. Couldnt find it, sat down and was just staring at the tree and bamm there it was right in front of my eyes.

Awesome! Had us and the kids perplexed! I even climbed the tree ha ha . Previous posters helped me find it . Well hidden!! I replaced the "lid" so it's well camouflaged now
This was a fun one... Challenging in a good way. Nice hiding spot, sneaky. Great views from location too.
Oh my this had me frustrated. I was not going to leave till I found it. I did my monkey impersonation - waited for the muggles taking photos - told husband he could find it - then low and behold I spotted it. Damn sneaky avoyager a favorite point from us and well done you!!!
This is a very cool cache! It was quite tricky as there are a couple of (well placed?)distractions on the tree such as a note and pieces of string. When i finally found it i couldn't get the log book out as it was wedged right at the back of the cache. I have a photo as proof if u like. Good fun thanks!
This one really had me going. Spotted it fairly quickly but getting to it at my age was somewhat dramatic. Got it in the end, signed the log and returned it and got the 'lid' back on. Phew! A fave for the ingenuity of the whole cache.
What a great place to hide your cache! It took us a while to find it cuz we are looking in a wrong GZ. TFTC!
Tftc. I had a laugh when I read a past log and it was commented it was mm away from his chin. How tall are you dude
The McArgister clan all headed up north a day early to avoid the long weekend traffic. All except muggins here who has to bring home the bacon. But it meant that I had a night free to cache withou needing to be home for any fatherly or husbandly duties! Contacted a few likely friends and we hatched a plan for some early evening caching.
This was the first of the night and it was much easier than when I looked for it by torchlight! At least I'd been looking in the right place last time, unlike keylev! Keylev found what seemed to be a logbook without a container down low, but it was a note to someone's dad for Father's Day?!? Very cute! Anyway, I resumed the clambering I started last time and Miss NewlynFam couldn't help but laugh at me. She'd found it before and I was so close without seeing it. I still couldn't spot it to her amusement when from below keylev spied it, right next to my eyes! Mrs. NewlynFam said that it had more camo on when she found it, but it was still pretty sneaky! Glad to turn this frown upside down. Thanks for a good start to a fun night!

Out and about with a couple of others on a last minute sort of a plan. I had tried this one previously but now knowing where it is my gps had me in some trees slightly further away so of course I never found it!!
@McArgister was searching before I spotted something right next to his chin - he was literally mm away from it without seeing it! Great camo.
Thanks for the cache.

Out with keylev, laval and a couple of others which was fun for a school night. Hope I'm not tired tomorrow.

Looked for this one while enjoying a wander around this peaceful spot.
The find was a bit tricky, but a reference to the terrain rating gave us the right idea. Having noted comments in previous logs, we brought our mini log long-nose pliers with us from the car, so extracting the paper was not too difficult.
Thanks for the cunning hide.

Also found the Fathers day note as mentioned in a previous log. More searching and we soon had this micro cache in hand. TFTC
Our first cache of the day. We had been to this one before with no success. This time Mrs beconaze walked straight up to what she thought might have been the cache, but turned out to be a fathers day note for someone!! Not long after however we managed to find the cache and with a bit of trying extracted the log to sign
There were a lot of people out enjoying a walk at Musick Point this morning, but luckily none at GZ. Walked over and inspected the tree, without success at first. Eventually spotted the hide, but we were unable to extract the cache. Returned to the van for some tweezers and so were able to extract the log. Thanks.
Popped up here for another look for this one. Coast was clearer this time but still no luck...will return again...
Gave this a bit of a go in the moonlight but got nowhere fast. Great view of the blue moon (it saw me standing alone) though. Nice to be out and about. Will have to return in the day.
Apologies to the CO for my hobbitness. As hard as I tried I just couldn't reach this one, got the lid of the cache off but could not get the log book out. Random muggles thought we were looking for a random button that would take us to Narnia, (wrong movie). Anyway can describe exact location and how it was hidden if the CO requests but had no strapping Welsh lads with me today to make it easier.
Geez Louise!! Tricky as. Sorry didnt sign coz dont have a spooler to put it back. Tftc I think lol
Found with my Mum, NewlynFam. Have now created my own account so am logging all finds I was present at and helped with.
Found this one with our friends, chrisandmum and aucklandreindeer (now Lordcacher08 and Liverkiwi). Mr aucklandreindeer loaned me his shoulders so we could retrieve it after we FINALLY spotted it!
Cool cache.

This was a real team effort!!! Small child on shoulders finally managed to find it. Fantastic, clever hide. Had fun reaching it
Good to finally get this one found with NewLynFam. Took a bit of searching but found after a wee nudge from UncleSamNZ. Really good hide and I'd give it a fav point if I was premium.
Well, we sure had fun with this one!
Got talking to chrisandmum this morning online, and we decided to meet up in order to do a little caching this avo. This was the first one we did together, along with AucklandReindeer.
Approached GZ and was pretty sure we had the right place, and we began looking. Up and down and round and round we went, with a fair bit of "that looks like it may be a good spot", and "Is that it? Nope, not there either!" and words to that effect.
We decided that some extra help was needed, and so sent an SOS to the CO, and then realised that a couple of other geo buddies had also found this, so sent out a cry for help to them too.
Unfortunately, it was at this point that Mrs NewlynFam's phone went flat, and so we decided to go and find another couple of caches nearby and come back to this (and Mrs Newlynfam was able to charge her phone in the car!)
We managed to squeeze enough juice out of the phone to get a reply from said geo-buddies (it turned out that avoyager was at work and wasn't able to reply straight away), and so returned to this one after finding the couple nearby. We resumed out search, and after a bit, it was spotted by the smallest cacher of the group, and retrieved by the second smallest, boosted by AucklandReindeer. We signed the log with a degree of relief, and then it was returned by the same method as the retrieval. Whew!
Thanks for the cache avoyager. Fave point for the fun, and the clever hiding spot!!!

In the area today cleaning up a few new(ish) east caches since our last visit. Parked the car at the first car park and walked, picking up a couple of caches on our way past. Was a very cold and blustery walk along the road.
We spent a lengthy amount of time here looking for this one. My last resort was a text to the CO for another hint but as luck would have it, just as i sent the text i found the blighter. A very nasty/crafty hide that certainly blends in very well. Very glad to have this one signed off! TFTC!

Ooh, sneaky! Nice hide, took a couple of laps and a few pairs of eyes but got there pretty quick! First find of the day with GERNITA. TFTC.
Out caching with codehill and decided to begin with this one, took a while to spot the sneaky hide but got there in the end with 6 pairs of eyes. TFTC
Some time available this morning and a pretty nice weather. I decided to visit a few caches between Manukau and Musik point, choosing odd D/T ones and old ones.
This one is definitely not for me. It's my second try but second fail...
Thanks for the challenge !

Found GZ pretty quickly bit locating the cache was a different case, but got there in there end after numerous circuits. Was about to give up when I spotted it... sneaky little cache TFTC!
Had been in the area for an early morning joint ftf with the CO of this cache. It would be rude not to attempt this and clean up the peninsula.
Drove over and quickly found GZ. However finding the cache wasn't as straight forward.
Being pressed for time I tried texting the CO hoping she might take some pity on me....... Turns out she was driving and couldn't respond immediately to my text. Continued my search and tried another PAF option. A few clues later and hey there it is a VERY clever hide. Just as I was signed the log the CO texted back and thankfully I was able to respond with a "FOUND IT" reply text!
When she reads the logs she will see that I hadn't done all the hard work on this find........ Hope the log remains.........
I did however get a magical view of the sun rise which I have included with this log!

Such a cool cache! Took Joshyboii and I lots of laps around until we finally found it. Tftc!

Looked high and low but alas no joy. Might come back another day to see if the GPS beats the phone! Tftc
The sun finally came out today, and so did the cachers. After the horrific rain and wind this morning, we decided to finally take advantage of that peeping sun, and grab a couple of caches after a bite of lunch. Took a wee while to spot this one, being we weren't sure whether to search high or low, but the elusive and sneaky hide finally revealed itself! Very cunning. Thanks for the cache!
Came here on Friday but had no joy so decided to come back again today. A wedding party was right on GZ! Will have to make another return trip.
Spotted a mint tin straight away but sadly it was just a mint tin! Took a lot longer to spot the actual cache, thats nasty!

Thought we had it then turned around and it was staring me in the face. Great hide!!
Very tricky but perseverance paid off in the end! Believe that you are in the right place and search high and low and you will be rewarded. SL TFTC
