We still swam over. We walked to GZ which at first was the sand on the beach. We looked for a long time, wet bathers and the cold wind. But no luck for us either. Lovely spot though.
4 DNF's plus our 2, and no find since 29/12/16. A great location but hopefully maintenance can be done for the next lot of searchers.
Okay, the last 3 teams couldn't find the cache. This cache is an enigma because it seems to be present to some geocachers and not for others. I won't deactivate this cache right now because it may still be there, we'll take our kayaks out next weekend and have a gander.
Cheers

Last day of our week long stay in Denmark and we found ourselves down at Ocean Beach. Decided to have a go at this one but I had to swim across the channel with the pen between my teeth and trying to hold the GPSr out of the water.
Arrived at GZ and searched around for a few minutes, not really the best location for a barefoot geocacher and ended up leaving empty handed.
LeelaDayz I couldn't find your cache, this was my 3rd DNF for the day. I did have 11 finds today so all is not lost.

Didn't find it today
I was looking with my family for this cache for a long time but we were not able to find it.
When I see the previous logs we definitely looked at the right place.

Found this with the Grandkids. Could do with a new log.
Up date on access. They have put in a new bridge so no problems.

Headed down to Denmark for the week with Jinta29 clan. how could we not cache while down here ?
This one was more of a terrain 4 as we headed down in shorts and things to make this find.
One of my fav shows and also with own name being Breht, a different spelling, how could I not make the effort ?
LeelaDayz - Kyzabra found your cache Good boy Bretty, Good boy . This is my find #1 today. The cache is in good shape and we replaced it as found. Thanks for placing and maintaining your cache.!

A nice early morning walk and while the bridge is blocked we were able to skirt around the side pull ourselves up onto the walkway .
A nice hide here and thankfully we had no trouble adding our name to the log book. TFTC .

Attended a nearby event today however decided to try for this one as we were a little early. It was an easy find. The climb to the lookout was the hardest part but the view had the camera clicking madly within seconds. Thanks LeelaDays for this nice scenic cache.
The bridge crossing the little river bit has been blocked off - obviously unsafe at the mo. Not sure how the last 2 geocachers got to the cache but there is obviously a way (unless geocaching is now opening membership to birds?!?)
So I'll keep the cache open for now.
Happy caching!

pug002 found it 8/4/2016 on our trip south geocaching. TFTC LeelaDayz. Thanks for bring us to such lovely places we never would have seen, spectacular.
I wandered across the bridge to find the trail to GZ.
A rickety bridge
I'm sure many dogs have been lost here !!
And by the sign explaining where you can, and cannot take your dog, I discovered that there were indeed endangered hooded plovers inhabiting the beach
As if that bit of info makes a bit of difference to dog owners
Dogs are far more important than some bird you have never even heard of, let alone seen [^]
So bother the birds, time to go walkies
A cache was soon found in this picturesque place [^]
The only thing it was lacking was birds
Plenty of dogs though !!
And tonnes of dog Pooryunggup !! [xx(]

A quick find as the sun was setting in the west. Nice area but yes a pity about the dog poo around the area. TFTC - Docadoo
Cache is fine. Notepad almost full but the other sides of the paper can be used. Disappointed in the dog waste around, have put a doggy pickup bag in the cache just in case you forget to grab one!
The bridge out to this cache was a highlight for me. TFTC Easily found, just the way I like it

Typical Denmark after a 40 degree day yesterday it was around 17 today and drizzling. There were a few muggles out on the beach and some dogs enjoying the romp. Headed to the general area of gz and in the first spot we looked we found a tiger skin. Fortunately the second spot we found the container and not the tiger! Thanks LeelaDayz
Ellie and I searchrx for 20 minutes and could not locate this cache.

The cache is still there, found within seconds. All dry and tidy, pen works and plenty of log space. Love the minion toy someone left! Enjoy this place. LeelaDayz
Doesn't sound like a nice area to be exploring right now, particularly if the cache has disappeared. We will call out sometime soon but until then this listing is disabled.
The area seems sadly to have been used as a toilet including a bag of dog poo so didn't want to ferret around there too long.
Found on Saturday with MissSeeker86, we were pumped that we could get into the area now that the water has gone down!
It's amazing what a week can do - the sand bar was opened less than a week ago, and the water level must have dropped by at least a couple of metres from when I was here a couple of weeks ago. The nearby lookout always seems to attract extra spectators in the days following the opening of the sandbar, and today was no exception. I did park in the wrong parking area, so it was a bit of a longer route to and from the cache (and had to dodge one muddy stretch), but for the most part everything was high and dry and easily accessible. Cache was in good condition and didn't take too long to find. Looked like a great day for surfing too - there were at least one and a half dozen surfers in the lineup, with some nice right-handers happening, but sadly I didn't have my surfboard with me today. This is a beautiful spot for a stroll, so TFTC LeelaDayz.
Found with Big09. Had this cache in hand nice a quickly, in fact Big09 in his search for it ended up tripping over it. As the inlet has been opened we had no trouble with the water level. Tftc
We had a gander from the Ocean Beach lookout and it appears the cache may be okay although only accessible right now by kayak! We will come back at check properly when we can get to it without having to swim. LeelaDayz.
Visited the area today, but the cache is presently inaccessible, because the whole area is flooded. The levels of the Wilson Inlet are quite high right now, and even the walk-bridge and park benches are partly under water. I wonder when they plan to dig open the Ocean Beach sandbar this year - normally it's earlier in the season isn't it?
Nice walk on a rather cool morning. No muggles around so an easy cache to locate. TFTC
Only managed to jump on three caches while in Denmark for the morning and this was the lucky last.
Parked up and after a quick stroll in I had the place to myself, probably due to the weather. Spotted a likely hidey hole but did a lap around the bush to see where the iphone may take me, which was back to the hidey hole. Cache found within seconds.
Discovered Mistralunas Oz Mega 2014 Travel Bug Stamp TB (TB code on paper in cache).

Day twenty seven of the WA road trip with BettyBoo3747.
Spent the morning on the deadly treadlies riding around Denmark's Ocean Beach and its pile of lookouts. A long lunch then off to William Bay for a sticky beak (and the multi!), then on to Scotsdale for our fix of Roymerc caches and some afternoon tea at the duck ranch.
No dogs with us today, but a nice stroll across to the estuary. A few dog walkers in the distance, but not enough to interrupt our search.
Thanks, Robmc.

# 7930. A day around Denmark that started with a nice bike ride to a few lookouts past our caravan park then a visit to William Bay and finally a visit to roymerc's for a chin wag and guinea pig duties for some more brilliant caches before a couple of caches and back to Denmark.
This one isn't far from our temporary home so onto the bikes and away we go. Found a nice little bridge to cross, thankfully wheeling the bikes as there was such a huge drop at the far end. Now for a little walk and we soon have the cache to hand. The original camouflage is now almost non-existent. Popped our names on the log and now back to the bikes and onwards.
Thanks IzzybelLeila (IBL)

Came down from Mandurah to Albany this morning. Barely had a chance to catch my breath before my host asked if I was up to a bit of caching - there was a particular hide up a nearby mountain that he wanted to conquer. So westwards we came, despite the drizzling rain. No such thing as bad weather for caching, or so they say, just badly prepared cachers. We were pretty well prepared though. Couldn't not stop and try for this one on the way past, even though we had run out of daylight be the time we got here. Oh well, made it a very interesting trip out to gz and back again, slipping and sliding our way through the muddy tracks amongst the samphire flats. Luckily, we managed to find the cache after a short search/grope in the darkness. Thanks for the adventure IzzybelLeila (IBL)
Took a more direct route to find this one and ended up a lil bit wet around the ankles but even so, it was worth the trek TFTC
