Find number 14088 at 3:22:04pm on Saturday the 21 September 2024We're on our way to WA Goes Big, travelling from Croydon (Melbourne, Victoria) with a caravan in tow and making a leisurely caching holiday across the Nullarbor and back. Finally in Augusta for the next week for the big event Today we started off in at the WA Goes Big center, picked up our goodies, logged our find and then went out chasing caches, in particular the Holland Track series with Posums and RoamingHowie, a few pole caches, the CITO and back for dinner at the Saturday night event, all in all, a well balanced day Arrived at the CITO location early so started working on this mult and decided there was no way this one could be solved with the information at the location apart from guess work.Got a hing to GZ location from another attendee and managed to find the hide.**Thanks for placing this cache SeabreezeOZ**---*WOW, so much happening at home in Victoria*Dont forget to log your will attend for Victorias first ever Block Party in March 2025, the [**The Sunbury Event**](https://coord.info/GCAP417).Theres also all those lists of amazing geocaches at [Geocaching Victorias List webpage]( https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/information/great-caching-lists), go check them out.

Down in Augusta for this weekend for WAGB24, met up with some of the crew before the Sundowner event and strolled over here to have a go at this one. Arrived at the final GZ to find DarkAndD4v3y searching the object. The cache was located a short time later.SeabreezeOZ I found your cache at 5:23pm, this was the 4th of 5 finds for me today and brings my total find count to 8872. Out and about with the family for WAGoesBig2024.Had great fun with the events and finding all the caches. Thanks to all the cache placers and event organizers.
After a big trip over the top end of AU with lots of side detours. Am now caching around the south west of WA for a while before heading back east again.TFTC. Down to Augusta for a couple of pre WA Goes Big events and a side of other caches.Nice park with lots of local history.
Found at 2:16 PM GAFF1.9 years ago we were here with a group and we scoured the structure and couldn't find it! The CO visited the cache on the same day and said it was still there! Amateurs I hear you say [:o)]Well today we arrived at one of our nemesis after travelled 5,500 kms from home just to rectify this embarrassing DNF and do you know what happened? The cache was found in the second spot that we looked in and it was an easy right out of the way of the intricacies of the machinery sort of spot Now c'mon that can't be right! How could we have missed that in 2015 - and there were 6 of us searching at that time mind you.Anyway we couldn't sign the log sheet that was in the container as it was just papier-mch. So we removed it for further forensic investigation and replaced it with a clean strip of paper. Thanks to SeabreezeOZFeedback: We have noticed that a lot of the caches in the area are not in very good shape and need a bit of attention.
Found it. TFTC SeabreezeOZ. Spent the weekend in and around Augusta and teamed up with papillion367, ullyssia and meme28. Logs were signed as PUMPP. The weather was not good but the team was great. Most were found in reasonable time but this one proved to be a bit more difficult. had to have a second go to get the right numbers but got there in the end. replaced as found.
Teamed up with ullyssia, meme28 and Photo-Play for a trip to Augusta over the long weekend. We were going to start the Blackwood River series but our boat hire was cancelled due to the poor weather, so we cached on land instead. Signed the logs PUMPP. It took us a while to get all the answers right, and GZ was no surprise!Thank you for the cache SeabreezeOZ.
We started early while the town was waking up. Solving the answers was a little tricky, however we got there in the end! Cheers for the multi. Our South trip started joining Ullyssia Papillon367 and Photo Play. Caches are signed as PUMP.
Thank you!Teamed up with papillon367, meme28 and Photo-Play for a caching weekend in Augusta. The weather meant our boating plans were cancelled, but we had a great day finding as many caches around town and the cape as we could. Caches signed as PUMPP or ullyssia.Happy to make the find here.
Took awhile for me to get the green ticke and a bit of using Google as could not find the correct signs. No luck with the cache even though I went round and round
Found it TFTC Found in good condition. The questions presented a couple of problems. So we too a guess and the hint and went hunting. Around and around and about to give up then what is that glinting ...... bingo
Ciao e grazie. #10918Today we start again from Augusta. Today's stage will be short but we intend to visit a few interesting places. The first stop will be the lighthouse. On the way there was this short multi. For a couple of questions we had difficulty finding the answer but partly by deduction, partly by luck we found the box. The logbook is not in good condition, we added a blank sheet of paper and put it back in its safe hiding place. Hello and thanks. #10918
After doing the sums twice determined this was going to be a find. And it was. Very interesting site. Tftc
Made a few mistakes but thanks to the hint we eventually found it. Loved this history. A fav. TFTC
Nice little multi on our day trip in Augusta. Always love a little history multi. Tftc
While touring WA from Victoria we used geocaching as our tour guide for artwork, historic locations, geological features and breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean. We also explored many cemeteries, wandering around reading old headstones to collect clues for multis that we really enjoy.
This was a quaint area to visit. Collected the clues and then after an intense search we had the cache in hand.
Thanks SeabreezeOZ for the placement.

On a road trip to Walpole and Augusta with the muggle wife and in laws and in Augusta for a few days and grabbing a few caches. This was a quick easy find after gathering the info and doing the sums. Thanks for the cache and for bringing me to this very interesting and incredibly historic site seabreezeoz.
I gathered the information to solve the coordinates yesterday. We returned today where Muggle Husband spotted the cleverly concealed cache in record time for a hide on this type of thing.
After we crawled ask over the winch in 36 deg heat for 20 min we decided to let this one go today. Maybe next year.
Young Man went back and found it quite quickly second time around. Apparently we were over thinking it , thanks
Found it. Geohubby was all over the place and I read the hint and found straight away. TFTC
Our aim today while in this beautiful part of WA was to take a day trip from Margaret River to Augusta . It has been a lot of years since either Taurus Six or myself of have been here. The drive down was pleasant and easy and we had a nice brunch in one of the towns cafes before heading to the Cape and the many beaches and lookouts. Another perfect day weather wise 22 degrees sunny blue skies and a slight breeze. Of course our aim was also to collect as many geocaches as practical along the way.
Solving this multi was both interesting and somehow a bit more difficult than it should have been. Great little park reserve and the information and memorabilia is set out very nicely. We answered four of the six questions but could not find the answer to the other two so we ended up googling them and soon found the answers . At gz we were totally covered in very friendly flies which just seemed to want to stick with us. Also just to note the log is full and will need replacing soon. Thanks for the history lesson and multi cache.

TFTC SeabreezeOZ, found on our last day in Augusta. While travelling around OZ we are picking up caches. Log & cache in ok condition. Thanks for keeping the game alive.
TFTC seabreezeOZ, Found on our last day in Augusta. We are on our lap around OZ, picking up caches when we can. Cache & log in ok condition.
Solved the puzzle online before travelling to Augusta. Took a while to find the cache but once I did it was obvious. Thanks for the hide.
Must have been too early in the morning for us as we struggled to locate a couple of answers but thanks to Mr Google we got a tick on the checker.
A quick find at GZ.
TFTC SeabreezeOZ this is find #11714 for us.

We have travelled from Portland Victoria across to WA to see our daughter.
We are the victims of what we have now learned was unleaded petrol being added to the diesel tanks at Eucla. Many vehicles broke down across the Nullabor and we were one of the early ones.
As a result our car has been towed to Perth (from Cocklebiddy via Norseman and then Kalgoorlie)
While we wait. and wait. and wait for our car to be fixed we are staying with our daughter and while she is home we headed off to stay at Hamelin Bay for a couple of days. She has a low tolerance for caching so we just grab them when we can. We set off to explore the pretty town of Augustus and then headed to the light house, information gathered and cache located with ease. Love teh pink house though.
Thanks for showing us this part of the world SeabreezeOZ

Found with bigSalmon1 whilst exploring Augusta on holidays. Thanks for the multi and enabling me to learn more about the area . TFTC
Grabbed this one. Struggled with the questions. Perhaps we left our brains in Margs..
Great history but the hint was the save of the day and then spotted a cone high above us.
Search for while so paf. Then keep try until spotted so happy signed the log as EV and thanks for the cache and hunt
Staying In Augusta a few nights so decided this morning to have a bike ride and collect some of the newer caches and this one that I missed last time. Love a short multi after a short search the cache was in hand. Tftc
Find 5 of 17 during a long ride around Augusta and surroundings, then later a short walk in Dunsborough.
We like a short multi. The find wasn't as quick as the calculations though. Had it in hand after a couple of laps.
TFTC SeabreezeOZ!

Spending the day in Augusta this was one of the caches we found whilst visiting the area…. Jase starting working on the answers for this one with DangerMouse09 working out the final sum! Myself & Master 8 tried to be clever & beating them to find it We were still looking when Jase followed his gizmo to the co-ordinates & he quickly spotted the prize
TFTC in an interesting location SeabreezeOZ [^]

Fantastic have tried before like blind . Your cache badly needs maintenance as the container is falling apart and the log paper is quiet damp. Cheers for a seafaring adventure
Loved gathering the info to calculate the coordinates, although with that hint it’s not really necessary! We were about to give up & walk away when I thought “I’ll just check here” and that is where it was. TFTC SeabreezeOz
Another multi bits the dust.
Reading the last log, wasn’t too sure if this cache would be there or not.
Checked out the possibilities after a scenic tour of Augusta on a beautiful, sunny, winters day.
The whales where breaching in the Bay, such an amazing sight to see
The ocean is so calm you can see for miles out to the horizon, with plenty of boats out today.
The new addition to the marina is looking great.
And the history told here precedes all the new infrastructure of the new marina.
So wonderful to see the history of the local area and a bonus to come up trumps with the finding the cache.
We found your cache tucked away nicely and with signing duties done and dusted we replaced the cache as found.
The cache is wet and difficult to sign, as per the comments from January.
Thanks for sharing this interesting historical spot with great calm views of the Bay.
Now for morning tea and a lunch combo at the Famous Augusta Bakery.

After a drive down to catch up with Pood, was able to put a smiley on this one TFTC
We were under a bit of time pressure here as we had a long journey ahead but wanted to visit this historical place. Unfortunately I had no phone signal either so although we were pretty sure we had the correct answers (once I had a phone signal discovered I did have the correct coordinates) we had to just go by the hint and just couldn’t locate the cache.
Never like these ones, however, never say die. The info was easy to read and find. Lots of interesting material to see and the co-ords were accurate. nothing more than have a close examination of the exhibits. Glad the container matched the colour of GZ as it had fallen out of its spot for an easy find. Replaced in a safer place. Unfortunately log book was soaking wet.
Had planned for the last week to do a day trip down to Augusta to pick up the caches there and a couple of others on the way. The weather was terrible when we left early with torrential rain and thunder and lightening. We decided to still go and by the time we got to Augusta the weather was fine and we were able to get most of the caches on our list. There was lots of muggles everywhere we went but most caches were quickly found with a few that took a bit of searching. After getting all the info we searched for a while but couldn't find the cache TFTH
Great find. Needed a bit of TLC. Lid waa on the ground was broken off. Put back together as beat i could
Found with the help of the Geokids.
A great spot with some interesting history.
The kids (old and young) loved it.
