Day twenty three of my across the Nullarbor, then to Perth via Denmark trip. Unfortunately also the last day of my three week holiday, now back in Victoria, plenty of time to gradually head home.
My last cache of the day, I had collected all of the needed info on my previous visit, but ran out of time for the final cache. Today I had a little spare time, so picked this up on the way home. Great Multi cache.
**Thanks to wozzle68 for the cache. TNLN**

Todays adventures involved visiting the Ballarat region. The trio of myself, Ausfox! and Bentley set off to chase some caches. The weather held off and worked out for a great day! Thanks Ballarat for providing a great series of quality caches, puzzles and DT!
I had this cache set for it's DT, however did not realize the length involved - wow, going to keep us busy! Ran around grabbing information whilst getting other caches nearby. The theme of the multi became quiet relevant to each spot we visited.
Particularly enjoyed a cache that appreciates local Koorie history and it's significance to the area. It was also nice to visit the Botanical Gardens which I hadn't done yet. A great way to see the town.
A nice big container for a final too
Thanks for this well planned and well thought out Multi, cheers!

Joined up with Jacko83 and Bentley to grab a few caches in and around Ballarat. This cache had shown up on Project GC when trying to complete my Matrix but didn't have the time to complete it when i was here last, so with time in hand we grabbed a few caches between locations while the information was gathered. It's a great way to be guided around Ballarat and its Koorie history.

Back up the track to Ballarat again to add a few more smilies and this guy was high on my list because finally I have a complete list of numbers from all the sites and on arrival it was not where I first searched but then I spotted a small trail that has appeared. I should have read the hint.
This cache is my favourite type and it also had the inner as well so gets a thumbs up on that point.
A lot of time and effort has gone into producing a great multi so I have no hesitation of giving it another F.P.
Well done wossle68 I hope you have success in the Vic awards.

This amazing tour was an instant addition to our bucket list when it was first published. Both fascinated and horrified by the Aboriginal history of our chosen homeland, which was forever changed with the arrival of European adventurers and settlers, we were keen to find out what this cache had to offer.
And boy, did it deliver! We came to Ballarat today, specifically to complete and learn from this multi (and to have a good old chinwag with a friend, nothing wrong with spending two hours at the lakeside cafe!). We love the concept of the trail and applaud the Ballarat and District Aboriginal Co-operative, the City of Ballarat and wozzle68 for sharing the information and the amazing sites with the community!
Once again, we have confirmed that it's quality caches like these, which open our eyes and our hearts to our surroundings, that makes caching so amazing for us. We are not so keen on the statistics. Calmly focusing on one quality cache like this, not running amok with a rushing group either, is what we love. And it is what we are more than happy to give a favourite point for.
Thank you for the effort put into this cache! We will nominate it for the cache of the year awards.

WOW what a Multi cache it is a sham I didn't do this one before and even though it to some time to do but happy I have it under my belt
Way-point 8 is no longer available. I will edit the description and get the cache enabled ASAP.

After spending most of the day in the Bendigo emergency department with a ruptured pec tendon, I had to cross off most of the high terrain caches I had on my list, which meant I had more time to spend finding caches like this one. Each of the locations were quite interesting, and offered a great insight into the history of the township. Once at GZ, it didn't take long to find the cache, and I was pleasantly surprised by the nature of the container given the cache is listed as a micro. A wonderful multi, which I enjoyed a lot.

What a great idea for a multi. I wondered how long it would take to complete this cache, but it wasn't that long really. I enjoy multis, yet so many people pass them by. I learned a lot of things along the way. One of the questions I knew it was either one number or the other, but the checksum helped sort that out. Thanks for the work put into this cache wozzle68 and for highlighting the influence the local indigenous people have had during Ballarat's history. I'm giving this a fav for the work put in and the decent container at the end.
Well after much looking we did our first night multi cache. Thank Yogster and Tftc. #161
TFTC. This was a fun first multi and took me a couple of runs to double check my co ords as I could not quite get the top string right. After a little sleuthing with McStormy we had what we thought could be a genuine hit and in our Nightcaching tradition, headed off to fun the ammo tin. Thanks very much for the tour Wozzle68.
TFTC Multi's are very enjoyable looking at the different sites around a particular area. This was a family find after appointments in Ballarat.
Today I was down in Ballarat with my wife while we wizzed around the big smoke knocking over appointment after appointment.
The Charm Quark and our Cache Monkey decided to drop in and see the inlaws. I decided to head out caching.
You know, with a couple of hours up my sleeve I could have probably bowled over 25 or so caches on one of the local trails, however, I decided against that.
You see I have a things for multis. I love the challenge, I love the history and I love the travelling between waypoints. A lot of people avoid multis and they are seriously missing out.
I decided to give the Koorie Heritage Trail a go. Talk about worthwhile!
I'll start this off by saying that this is a definite favourite of mine. It took me to many locations around Ballarat, the town I did my schooling in, which I hadn't been to before.
All throughout the trip around town I tried to get my head around the Aboriginal history in Australia. It's a bit hard to comprehend a history of over 40000 years, isn't it?
There were plenty of gems.
I had never been to the Yuille Cairn before. I went to the old orphanage, a place where many years ago I played in a piano concert at and also it was for many years the location (St. Pauls and then Damascus) where our morning bus interchange used to be. Where the country kids were herded onto their designated buses.
Black Hill lookout. I honestly can't say that I have been up there before. What a view!
In all of the travels I thought about the Koorie history.
But it was one location, the Frank Wilson Grave, that really made me get a bit emotional. I had been here before, and felt the same way then. Of course, Ballarat recently were going to name a suburb Mullawallah as a sign of respect. However it was knocked on the head for a number of reasons. I still shake my head and wonder what is wrong with this as a suburb name?
Anyway, that's a subject for a letter to the editor, not a geocache log.
Soon enough though, after a while all the clues were gathered and the checksums came out ok. Time to grab the cache. I drove to GZ and parked. As I pulled up a truck pulled up behind me and the driver proceeded to eat his lunch. You're kidding me, all this work to be thwarted at the last post?
I left it alone and an hour or two later returned. I was free to grab the cache and sign.
Thank you so much for this cache and most importantly the journey. It is a wonderful and well constructed multi that is deserving of more than one favourite.
Give me one cache like this over a trail of caches which are just there for no other reason than to boost numbers. Excellent work, Wozzle68.

This interesting trail took quite a few trips on a Wednesday to collect all the information. With some of the stops I had a little knowledge but others were eye openers for me.
Last week was the final collection of data but once home it looked like i had miscalculated somewhere along the line. Google didn't help me much but glad to have the check sum to confirm I was wrong. even then I discovered i couldn't add up very well. Eventually PAF sorted out the error of my calculations and the check sum worked in readiness for today attack on multis in the area.
Pulled up and walked up and down with the GPS swinging in all directions. They tell me the weather does that to the compass. just before the next shower of rain I spotted what I wanted and signed the log in the car.

This one has been on my radar for months and I've slowly gathered clues. Master 4 and I gathered the remaining clues this morning and then headed back out this afternoon to make the find before school pick up. What an absolutely brilliant multi highlighting the amazing Indigenous areas of our town. A definite fav from me. Well done wozzle on such a brilliant cache.
Well a few days in Ballarat has nearly turned into a fortnight.
We put all the local caches into our TomTom so we know when we are driving past caches. Countless times we have driven past some of the required waypoints, wondering which cache they actually belonged to.
So we decided today to find out which multi cache it was and tackle it.
Off we went round and round visiting all these cool spots that we had already visited. [B)]
Info collected and we pulled up at GZ. The spot seemed unlikely but there you go after rechecking all the numbers yep it's supposed to be here. [^]
Eventually the cache was right there.
Indeed a very intesting Multi. Thanks for feeding our GeoAddiction.

When we first looked at this we saw it had a lot of way points. We saw where they were relative to some other caches we had in mind to make it efficient. Some interesting history and we particularly liked some of the art poles. We did the maths and it was good to have the sum checker just to make sure. A quick plot on google maps and a likely location was spotted. We ended over and after dodging muggles made the find of a good sized ammo can. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC.
This was Suscoe's 8th and final find for today in the company of the sister as we completed our two day Ballarat trip around lunch time.
We had been collecting the clues for this really interesting multi yesterday and this morning.
With the final piece of the puzzle sorted we made a bee line for the GZ.
Arriving we set about the finding process and after a few looks the delightful cache was soptted.
Log signed and we were pleased that this one was now on our list of smiles,
Well done to wozzle68 for this multi which provided us with an important glimpse into the Koorie heritage of the Ballarat area.
A favourite point from us, great work and thank you!

After a pleasant drive around the burbs viewing the indigenous history in Ballarat came to a surprisingly final GZ. Nicely placed cache. TNLN TFTC.
OK so here we were having started our mad dash to see if we could get 11 multis in one afternoon to finish the Multicache Month Challenge we had started. All was going well for the first two "quick" multis and then we had this unfound icon sitting on our screen. Lucky we had collected a couple of the more distant waypoints in our travels on earlier occasions so it wasn't too big a task to zip around the missing locations to find the missing numbers. The boards are a great idea to highlight the influence and the history of the Koorie Heritage. Thank you Wozzle68 for putting this really informative and culturally important multi together.

Found today while enjoying my day off in Ballarat. The other team member was busy working on a top secret mission so I had plenty time to kill enabling me to get through each wpt and eventually finding the great hide.
Thanks Wozzle68 for showing me around the town I grew up in, as a child.

FTF with Glanville Girls, McLookers, Tomstache & Beckster22, after receiving a message about a team effort on this cache I was onboard and we made our way around the trail that I hadn't realized was as far spread as it is, 3 of the waypoints were crowded but it was easy enough to gather the required info and make a string of coordinates, once we arrived at GZ we made a quick find on a well stocked container with a blank log book, thanks for the informative tour

We were heading away for the weekend when we saw this cache published. We arrived home to see that it was still unfound. Glanville Girls sent a message through and together with Beckster22, Tomstache and ST37E, we set about visiting each of the areas and getting the information together. We found quite a crowd around 3 of the waypoints but managed to do the required counting. We had visited each of the points previously but had no idea they formed part of a significant trail. We were very pleased to arrive at GZ to find a well stocked cache and ....a blank log book!!! We were very pleased to be joint {FTF}. Thanks for this very informative multi wozzle68. It is perfect timing for the Multi Challenge and we had a lovely tour of Ballarat. It took us a bit less than 1.5 hours and we would highly recommend it.
This was a joint [FTF] with a group of caching friends. Great multi I haven't done one with so many stages before. It was very interesting. Im giving a favourite point.
Did this multi with McLookers, Glanville Girls, Beckster22 and ST37E. I liked it a lot wozzle68, it took us to some good places around Ballarat. Very happy to be joint {FTF}, a favourite from me.

We were on the road headed away caching for the long weekend when we saw this one published. We disregarded it as we thought the FTF would be long gone by our return 3 days later. Fast forward to this afternoon and when I noticed it hadn't yet been found a call was made and we decided to go for it. This a very well set up and informative multi which we enjoyed a great deal. What a great way to highlight these information boards scattered across town. We learned a lot today. I knew of the existence of a few of the waypoints but several are new to me. With all of the info collected we had a set of coordinates that looked good. Off to GZ where we found a large well stocked container and a blank log book which is always very nice. Thanks for this fantastic multi Wozzle68. We appreciate the effort you've gone to here. A favourite added, of course!
