Hi laloliThis geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no cache maintenance logged. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived. Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.RegardsTheCoddiwompler
It is Father's Day and that means a little bit of caching for this father. So, after a nice cooked brunch, it was off to buy the young cacher a new mouse and then around the area for a few caches. This cache was more of a consolation on the way home as we did not have a very successful time caching in Papatoetoe today. It turns out, that we were not very successful here either. We made our way in and started searching. After about 10 minutes of not finding anything, either high or low, we decided to call it, especially as the last four cacheres had not found anything either.
Take the coordinates pointed out by previous cachers and that should make it a lot easier.
It would have saved me quite some time as well as mossy bites
Lots of mossies lost their lives here today...
Could use a new log, since all previous finders' names are washed out.

The coordinates were not where it was. Jag50 posted the correct ones. (S 36 54.345 N 174 54.637)

In the area with Merlot58, we were not sure if we would be able to search for this cache as there were a number of young guys in the carpark up to no good. After reading some previous logs we noted the new coords (South 36° 54.345 East 174° 54.637) and realised that we would be able to collect this one as we would be hidden by the trees. Once at GZ the cache was quickly located.
I use to live in the area when Bradbury Rd ended roundabout where McCahill Views starts and the views have always been great from up here. We were a little unsure if we would be able to search for this cache as there was a carpark full of young guys but after putting in the updated co-ords found in a previous log we realised we would be just out of eyesight from them. The new co-ords were spot on as they took us straight to the cache. To save people having to scroll too far back the better co-ords are South 36° 54.345 East 174° 54.637
We came over to Pakuranga today to have lunch with Mark's mother. Afterwards we drove up to McCahill lookout to admire the view, and find the cache. Needed to look back through some previous logs to get more accurate co-ords, then made the find. Thanks.
Out grabbing a few caches for the Museum Challenge, a nice winters day today.

Initially I went to GZ and couldn't see anything. However a quick look at past logs and going to TNXPro's coordinates yielded an instant find. TFTC!
This was a very misleading bit fun cache, We used some of the added waypoints, which nailed the find!
Thanks to those who posted the accurate coordinates, otherwise I might not have any more blood left. Once that was sorted (and many bites were bit) we found the cache quite easily and quickly in the fading light. 'Twas a nice view, indeed. Thanks!
Great view indeed! Got here at sun down, even though the car park said it would be closed we were still able to park there. Coordinates weren't where the cache was so we went way too far in and got a ridiculous number of mozzie bites! TNXPro had posted much more accurate coordinates so that helped us readjust our search area and we found it in no time. Still itching! Guess that's the price to pay for keeping our streak going... An impromptu visit to Auckland had Team BOP heading for a bit of night caching.
It was the middle of the night, or later, and the grass was very heavily dewed, so we all got very wet feet. All the neighbours were well asleep by now, as it was more like 3 am when we visited this cache. We were getting tired, but it didnt slow our caching senses down. Once we used the correct set of coordinates (South 36° 54.345 East 174° 54.637) we made the quick find.
The cache was found and signed quickly.
I really enjoyed the view from here.
Thanks for bringing me here.

With a break in the weather this was the perfect weekend for geocaching. I had no plans so with the help of TNXPro and Squirrelnutcase we sought out a worthy adventure heading West to help Squirrel clear his map. What no one knew at the time was this adventure would morph to span 21 hours, cover 3 regions and we'd have Davidson clan join us at the half way point just in time for the Auckland leg of our journey. A crazy day with Team BOP but there's no denying - it's a lot more fun with friends!
With the sun well and truly gone we had the place to ourselves which was good but the wet grass really tested our "waterproof" footwear. The view here was great though and we all took a minute to admire the big city lights. It became quite clear the cache was gonna be a tricky one especially considering the time of night and proximity to the neighbors. And you know it's getting really bad when you start looking through old logs.... but it pays off every now and again. I'm reposting agazos coords so someone else might not go through the same difficulties we did and I'll stress the importance of using a GPSr and averaging your coords. Cheers laloli, TFTC

Out for a nights caching with Team BOP which consisted of Philip.Pery, Tnxpro,Squirrel nutcase amd myself didnt really have a plan as such just headed for Auckland and followed the caches.
Cache found in good condition after searching GZ for ab9ut ten minutes Philip.Perry read previous logs we entered Agazo cordinates and soon had csche in hand.

With (Mr) Davidson clan, Philip.Perry, and TNXPro...
Our caching adventure quickly morphed into an all night mission in East Auckland. We were looking for an area with a good spread of caches that didn't require a lot of driving from point to point. Botany Town seemed perfect... As with most nighttime missions, cache finds quickly become a blur as there is not much to focus on other than making the find. My lasting memory of tonight will be enjoying the company of our group, mixed with very cold, wet feet from walking across boggy ground.
The nighttime view of the city was stunning. Let's just take it in before wandering down to find this one... This could have been a drawn out find were it not for some extra coordinates given in the logs. TFTC.

Tufty and I pulled up here to see a man in the trees holding a phone, thinking he was a cacher Tufty told him to not put it back before we realised he was not caching but having a comfort stop. Glad the cache wasn't there.... using Agazo's co-ords the cache was soon located. Could the CO please update the cache page accordingly to make it easier for further cachers.
Mrs Team Welsh rang me yesterday and asked if I would accompany her on a tour of some of caches out East Auckland way today. I am never one to turn down a fun geocaching adventure so I agreed.
We disturbed a man having a comfort stop watering the trees[:(!]. Originally thought him to be a cacher. We used Agazo's coords of S35 54.345 E174 54.637 to get to the cache.
The CO should update the cache page using these coords.
Cheers for the cache.

A wet weekend, gave it our best shot, As the morning progressed the weather got worse, made a few finds and 1 DNF and called it a day. Thanks for placing this cache for us to find
A mission to "Choose Your Hard - Part ?" had been eyed up for quite a few months between HKCB and I and so a short while ago the call went out, obviously with a call to make a day of it as we were in the area so collect a number of other caches along the way.
The object of the day was to aim for the higher terrain and difficulty ratings in the area.
So at 5 am we set off from Hamilton (in the company of 11HPG11, Kyb3r, HKCB) as we knew that many sets of eyes were going to be required for this little venture in Auckland today. All caches today have been signed HOAC to save space for the poor CO.
It was collectively agreed that yes the view was worth it
Thanks for the placement, thanks for the cache

Cats&Dragons and myself have been eyeing up the "Choose your hard" series for a few months now, and we were both on the same wavelength that many eyes are going to make this much easier. So we put out the call and HPG, Kyb3r and Alpenmilch80 joined in for the fun. The general plan for the day was to focus on the "Choose your hard" series then grab a few harder caches in the area.
After locating the dots we put a bit of distance between us and them and headed to another part of Auckland to hunt out a few more caches, focusing on multi's and puzzles to help with the planetary pursuit.
Checked at the listed coords and nothing was found. Read a few logs and found more coords which lead straight to the cache.
A big thanks to all the CO's for the placements, we signed all of the logs as HOAC.

Out today finding some caches with Cats&Dragons, HKCB and kyb3r. Trying to knock off a few frustrating puzzles and different d/ts. Logs signed as HOAC to save room.
We were initially struggling with this one, but spotted Agazos coords in the logs which helped us immensely. Now the cache was found we could admire the view.

A stop here on the way to work. Followed the geotrail into the bush, hope the neighbours didn’t notice, might have looked a bit odd. Used the co-ords as mentioned in a log, and soon spotted it. Log paper too wet to sign, so left a new slip of paper instead. Great view of Lloyd Elsmore sports fields and beyond. But work calls, so had to dash. TFTC
Came back to-day after failure yesterday. Agazo's co-ordinates were spot on. Quick, easy find. TFTC and thank ou Agazo
Happy to find this one on a dot day with Tinytree and Gowerfamily. Thanks to Agazo's coordinates it was a quick find for us! TFTC
In the area today so decided to grab a couple quick caches. Used Agazo's coordinates to locate this one, and it was soon spotted. Logbook quite wet, but still writeable. Thanks for the hide.
Out with SethRaven and Panda0505 today chasing some caches for a Tufty challenge. Yes the view is certainly WOW, but the coordinates are not, A huge thank you to Agazo for providing a better set that then enabled the find. Not sure if we would have spent the time looking that far and wide. Thanks for bringing us here to enjoy the view.
Out today with Fencarrows and Panda0505 gathering caches for a Tufty challenge. WOW . . . . . that is an amazing view . . . . . thanks for bringing us here. We were so pleased to have been able to read another finders log notes (we love you Agazo) and see that he had posted the correct co-ords for this one as we were definitely 6/7 meters away . . . . . . we would have been there for AGES otherwise. . . . . . TFTC
The view is great, but the coords??? On a previous visit, I spent lots of time at GZ looking in many different places, but didn't come up with the cache. I left and waited for someone else to make the find to get some hints.
I returned today well-armed with information and pictures. I still spent even more time looking at lots of places and at lots of different angles. I went as far as the beehive and was worried I'd might get stung, but they all beehaved. I finally checked one area that was quite far from GZ and finally found the cache. If you are having difficulty, try S35 54.345 E174 54.637. TFTC.

Had a DNF here on a previous visit , so I wasn't too keen for a repeat performance ...
Spent a long time looking ..... then was just about to walk out ; I paused , moved my head , and I was staring straight at it !
Very excited to get this tricky one !!!!!!!!
Thanks !

After an initial search in the wrong area the GPS settled down and the search began again a few metres away. There were a lot of muggles parked nearby enjoying the view making stealth very important and slowing down the search process to minimise the sound of rustling.
The cache was finally located right where the coordinates said it shoud be but blended in very well to its surroundings so took a while to spot.
After signing the log a careful retreat was required so as not to attract attention. Fortunately no muggles seemed to notice as the view was far more exciting than what was happening in the bushes.

Almost made it harder for ourselves than thought like the CO would! Was quick find after that in the fading light. I want to live down this street - would spend all my time looking at the views!! SL TFTC
Tftc. I usually have a set of young eyes with me when i'm looking for these but found it myself for a change. Good disguise.
I pulled up into the carpark and it was definitely a wow what a view moment. A few other cars here so took the discreet long way round to where my gps was indicating. After beating myself up for 10 minutes about how useless I am at finding hanging caches I beat a retreat (or perhaps the mosquitoes chased me) they way I came. And there was the little camo hanging cache. If only I had been paying attention on the way in. Thanks
Was in the area this morning for "Gosford 02" and thought I should get this one as well. Like many others my GPS took me to all the wrong place so in the end I just ignored it and slowly searched. Finally after making a meal of it, there it was. TFTC and thanks for the awesome views.
Easy find went straight to the spot after seeing the hint was a logical spot it could be and there it was. Tftc
The date is approximate as I can't remember it exactly. Found after dropping moko at school nearby so the place was deserted. The view certainly is WOW! TFTC
Just like the previous loggers we made a meal out of this relying on GPS which sent us into the bush from the wrong/difficult end. It then proceeded to bounce around so we ignored it, widened search and soon had the cache in hand. TFTC
After extending my search area as per previous logs and finally spotted the cache. I was very wary about the proximity to the house as I could see someone through the window, also had to wait for the dodgy looking people in the car park to go
Like pretty much everyone else, we made this one far harder than it needed to be. A few cars parked up admiring the view and whatever else they were up to. Walked over to where the GPS was pointing and noticed the entry but then quickly realised that a party was going on on the deck directly behind the fence, in direct view of me if i entered the bushes. Ruled out that entrance point so made a quick scramble into the vegetation a little bit further along and more direct to where the GPS was indicating where the cache was to be.
Spent an age scrambling around looking but not finding anything. In the process, i could see that more cars were parking up so the likelyhood of emerging from the bushes were not good either. I decided to TAF but no answer so i PAF and got another hint. Crawled over to where i needed to be and quickly spotted the cache, 11m from where the GPS was pointing. Reached up, retrieved the log and signed it. Replaced and then decided how i was going to retreat back to the car. No other option but just to crash through as i was going to be spotted by someone anyhow. Fortunately, the muggles in the one car that saw me emerge didnt seem to care so all was good. TFTC and the little adventure!

I was a little apprehensive upon approaching this one, as Id thought the terrain might be a bit challenging for me at the moment, and that it might be tricky, having read the last 3-4 logs. However, my geo-radar must have been finely tuned today, because as I entered the tree cover, I just happened to be looking the right way and spotted it right away. Cool camo though. I used to live in one of the properties adjacent to this street, so thanks for bringing me back here today! TFTC
This was far harder than it needed to be. However, it didn't help that I entered from the wrong end. Finally close scrutiny of the logs suggested I should keep going along. Then a very pronounced Geocache Trail came into view. Finally found it, but like others my GPS was telling me I was 11 meters away. TFTC!!!
Another great find on a geocaching holiday in the area.
Thanks for setting up this cache.
Nice to get this one found eventually!

Out and about this afternoon caching in a two hour window of opportunity. I remember finding KiwiLeon's old hide here, years ago now. Anyway, there was a car parked up near GZ so I followed the hint and was soon out of sight. Unfortunately I kept following the GPSr and it lead me past the cache and right into the thicket. Running a little low on time I emerged from the bushes and, so as not to arouse anymore suspicion I headed to my car and promptly left. After finding your nearby "king" I used the PAF option. On return I parked on the road and again entered the bushes unseen. This time I ignored the GPSr and soon sported my quarry. Coordinates were some ten metres out for me. Anyway, cheers for the view and for the smiley!
We were in the area after a family dinner and had also solved another puzzle cache so thought we would do a few more in the middle of the night before heading home.
Had noted that this had caused a few headaches for people so had a darn good look around. Was very mindful of the close proximity to the neighbours and thought at any time they would be poking their heads over the fence asking us what on earth we were doing at this time of the night rummaging around the trees with torches.
Were struggling for along time so took the TAF option, this gave us a few clues however it was Mrs NZTravellers that came up trumps a few minutes later a fair way away from where our GPS was pointing. Nevertheless a very cleaver hide.

I saw these 2 caches (this one and 'hole in one') both come out late last night. Ohhh boy, here we go again... let's go... Nah, someone closer will definitely be there before me... 1 1/2 hrs later, still no logs on the caches! So I text FMZ just to see if he might be interested in a very early morning jaunt across town, I get an instant reply and we're off! Arrived at GZ, on go the head torches and a quick look at the clue started us off in the right direction, we searched for quite some time then wondered if the C.O had got the co-ordinates correct, well, we were about to give up when FMZ had a moment of enlightenment and headed straight to it! Awesome. Co-ords only a few meters off, but who cares! Well done laloli on your first hide, keep up the good work.

Saw a couple of caches get published in the evening out east but thought nothing of it as I was busy with other things. Then later I get a txt from gorby asking if I'd like ot go on a hunt. Figured why not, so he picked me up and we rocketed off into the east. We arrived here and straight away noticed the great view from this elevated spot, then set about heading into GZ to find the cache. We searched for a long time around where our GPS units were pointing, radiating outwards along the fenceline. After quite some time, I decided to call it, and I walked back up to the carpark and posted a DNF log from c:geo (which as it turns out, failed to actually be logged on the website). Then I figured ok I'll have one more look - where would I hide a cache so that I would write that for the hint... Went back in from a different angle and there was the cache. Logged it from GZ also, but that log also strangely failed to appear on the website, even though c:geo reported it as successfully logged - only noticed that it didn't much later. Joint {FTF} with Gorby. FTF #1749 TFTC!!!
