Having recently visited the site it’s been significantly altered since placement and the cache is now missing. Time to give this spot up for someone else to use.
Looked and felt all round here, we think it has probably gone. CO doesn't appear to be active any more.

Had a good poke around for ages, unfortunately not there for us today. Thanks anyway.
Headed out to Matakana with Jag50 and Merlot58 to meet up with Supernannny and Gorby to walk the trails. Log signed as Broken (due to supernannny's broken arm). We saw that the platform is closed, but that doesn't matter as the cache can still be accessed without having to go on the platform.
I joined forces with Aiden29 and Jag50 and meeting Gorby and Supernanny at the Matakana markets with the plan to walk the cycle trail. We signed the team name 'Broken' for poor Supernanny's broken wing. No need to go on the platform here, the cache can be easily accessed without having to

Very quick park n grab. Saw it as we parked. Tried to reach from the car, but didnt have long enough arms. Thanks.
Found it! The platform is currently closed but the cache is still accessible. My 84th find and 2nd of the day. Very clever hide. All good. TFTC
Would be a good idea to disable this one. Access to GZ is not possible.

Arrrr, a lot of traffic on this fine sunny Sunday, but the ole pirate made the find, it is a comman container where we come from, and would have been much harder if it matched its surroundings better, no fishermen today as theplatform is closed, not recommended for kiddies on busy traffic daysclike today though, tfth
A quick park and grab on the way back from Omaha. I had to be really careful with the cache, not to drop it, as it was really windy today. tftc Cretti.
Found on second attempt. Needed to be careful for cars here and for kids jumping from bridge

Quick find in the rain on the way to work. Luckily had seen this type of cache before so had a feeling I knew what I was looking for. Almost lost the log in the wind but all phew all ok! TFTC
Found by splitting up with a friend, checking for anything out of place on each side of the road. Nice cache! All in good condition, tftc!
I decided to sign this one off before heading off to Atiu Creek Regional Park to do some cache maintenance. I donned my bright orange invisibility cloak to locate this cache.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
Looks like some out of owners had collected a large bag of undersized fish on the other side of the road....,,
You don't need to go on the platform for this one... Don't worry about the 'CLOSED' state, you won't need to go into any closed or off-limits area. - Cretti.
We made this far more difficult than it was, reading previous logs I was still unsure which side of the road we should be on. Reading the description I was pretty sure what I was looking for and I was partly right. I crossed to the opposite side of the road from MrCD and suddenly spotted what I was looking for. TFTC
Very cute this type ! Thanks Cretti ! No one fishing here today , only on other side , so we could be discreet !
#10836. The fishing spot is closed at present, but you don't need to go on it to get to the cache. TFTC.
We have just one day to explore the area before continuing our northward journey so decided to check out Omaha Beach, Leigh and Matakana. We were surprised at the volume of traffic on most of the roads we travelled so had to be careful with stopping and parking for caches along the way. Thanks to all the COs who have taken us to some fabulous locations.
We thought the parking for this looked better driving back from Omaha Beach, so left it until then. After a short walk, found ourselves on the wrong side of the road. StreetWalker raced across and soon found the cache, then brought it back for me to sign the log book. Obviously thinks I'm not fast enough to dodge the cars . TFTC.

Out for a morning bike ride with the wife and nephew. Made a quick find here, GPS was spot on - lucky I had seen one of these types before TFTC - signed as TSA
Up early this morning with HKCB for a last caching roadtrip for the year and a chance to complete a number of missions that we had set ourselves.
Left Hamilton at 2am (it was about to be quite a long day).
This was our third cache of the day, as we needed practice before meeting up with Alpenmilch80 in an hours time.
We located a nice and easy spot to park and make our way to GZ, soon in hand, a nice quick cache to get the day underway
Thanks for the placement, Thanks for the cache

A little while ago an idea was thrown about to head north for a final caching roadtrip for the year. So along with C&D a rough plan was formed with a certain few caches, a confluence point visit, an event to attend, and the rest of the plan was to be made up as we went along. So with a 2am start Saturday morning in Hamilton it was going to be a long weekend. Also Alpenmilch80 had decided to join in on the fun as well.
Had a bit of time to kill before we were due to meet up with Alpenmilch80 so what better way than to hunt for a few caches. Nice and quite here this early morning so could park really close so we had no troubles find this one.

Got it at the end of the day well spent in Omaha, great beaches around here with a very peculiar pink colour. The fishermen were at th other end of the bridge so no problem for us TFTC
Made it harder than necessary 2nd guessing myself. Managed to achieve this one even with all the traffic. SL TFTC
Aprovechando el horario de verano para una escapada al mar a media tarde. Nice camo! TFTC!
The boys carried on driving from Warkworth out here and soon had the cache in hand. Always a lovely place to visit, will need to come back to look for the other one which was unfound today.
Have stopped here for the old cache some time back. so was a very quick find while passing this very pretty spot today. not a muggle fishing today as not very pleasant weather.
A pretty spot for a fish and a cache. Nobody around on this beautiful Sunday morning. Cute camo. Tftc.
Great flat fish of a cache. Was concerned when the platform was closed but got it sorted without to much trouble as one of the junior cachers was right next to it.

Well that was tricky! I looked in all the wrong places, almost lost my glasses in the process looking over the edge, then I finally found the cache. Had the bridge to myself apart from many fast moving cars. I never realised the tide flows so fast thru this gap. Cheers Cretti for the cache.
A nice plaice to fish indeed, though not a fisherperson managed to make our way to GZ being totally ignored by the fisher people on the other side, had merlot47 (not a premium member) with me and he made the find while I was sat in the wrong corner, glad I didn't drop this one. Thanks for the hide Cretti, another smiley in garball territory.

Indeed a nice place to fish! Lovely spot and a quick find on the way home from the beach. TFTC
GAR unexpectedly suggested taking the dog for a walk at the beach. Aha, he had just seen an email with a brand new cache really close by that came through just 4 minutes earlier - then it all made sense. Ao of course we hopped in the car to take a look. Afternthe previous cache near this spot went missing and having spent ages there, this time it was a quick find. Thanks Cretti - the last day of our first feocaching year and we're going out with an FTF! Shortly after we started I realised that a first to find might never happen for us. But it turns out I was weong because this is FTF #11 for us, yaahoo .
Edit: Just realised I logged this as 28th Feb - since that is US time it isn't right - published on 1 March NZ time so obviously found on 1 March too!
