needs new log

House sitting locally for two weeks, had to pick an area today for the touristy thing and caching. Mackay CBD won today. Planned to visit the Art Deco buildings in town. GPs took us to one tree, but decided to look at another more likely one. We found it, wet but managed to sign. Thanks Three Rs

In Mackay for the AFL on this weekend and trying to pick up some caches to boost the numbers.
I made this one a lot harder than it was.
Log was so damp I couldnt remove it.

Today we explored Mackay to find the caches that had been published since our last visit and this was one of them. Took some timme at GZ but finally barked up the right tree.

Well the cache being in place makes a huge difference. Came here at night last time and hunted with moneydork unsuccessfully. This time it was walk straigjt up and find it...guarded of cause by the worlds biggest spider. Tftc

Day 5 Mackay .
After spending many hours solving puzzles today we set out to find them. Picked up a few others along the way.
We saw this one had been replaced so we stopped here on the way

Found it. Couldn't sign the log because i forgot to bring a pen.

Found this one fairly quickly given the problems with the trees. Doing some cache maintenance of late so I put a new sheet around the existing log. Lucky it's a medium bison tube and not a small. Thanks for the cache.

Nice and easy. When i logged it needed new paper so i signed on someone elses space as that was all there was. I see by logs someone else added a sheet after me. TFTC

In Mackay for a 21st birthday, thought we'd grab some caches.

Easy one, even the tag was out but I hid it better.

My CFD - spotted something odd.... cache in hand soon afterward.

Our GPSr had us looking around for a little bit but then the "aha" moment arrived. TFTC

High muggle area!!!!

Found this Great cache with benjimun and a cadet cacher. Almost got buster by a Muggle. Too dark to see them but could hear plenty of animorphs fighting nearby.

After eggs and bacon we hit the cachingtrail again.
Again it was T that finally found the cache.
Sent L running to look for the next one while someone had to move the car

Teamed up with karicka and family for a roadtrip from Townsville to Mackay over the weekend in order to get some of those caches that all have recently been published and to put a few more smiley faces on our map before our big move back home to WA. Were also looking forward to attend the International Caching Day Event down in Mackay which was organised by dandent and meeting some local cachers down there.

Visiting Mackay from the UK and doing a spot of caching with the grandchildren.... great excitement when Lily found it all by herself by following the GPS!!

Beautiful area... Visited yesterday with geodog and looked for half an hour and didn't find it! Visited again today with geodaughter and she found in minutes with no hints or info help. -_- She advices that you ditch the gps and switch your brain to 'geocache mode'. "Just use your head and imagine which tree it be hidin in" she said. Awesome day of geocaching!!! TFTC

In Mackay for work and had a little spare time on my hands, so decided to grab the three caches located in Queens Park.

Soon had this cache in hand a few minutes after arriving.

Log signed. The cache container and contents were found to be in excellent condition. Finding this cache has now given me a total find count of 1314.

On our trip trough Australia with the hole family we looked also for some caches. They often showed us places we would never had discovered. Thanks a lot to the all the people who care about this lovely hobby .

While the rest of the family was on a shopping tour, I could get some caches.
