Need to replace cache..seems it has 'ridden off' into the sunset..will do this week and re-enable asap
After much searching we found what was probably once used to conceal the cache but the cache had gone.
Today was the day to clean up some caches in the Riverhead/Huapai/Henderson area. Parked at the nice little parking area and headed up the hill. Spotted cache hiding spot on approach and made a nice quick find. Nice reserve that we have visited in the past so lovely to come back. TFTC
Hunted literally everywhere, even though we were certain we knew where the cache must have been..... I even got my jeans stuck on a fence trying to jump over to search on the other side!!! Couldn't detangle myself, so had to rip myself free.... definitely don't recommend that method of hunting!!!!
Disappointed to log a DNF... have a feeling that it is quite a clever wee hide.... will have to watch this one, and hopefully come back in the future to turn my frown upside down!!!

Went to visit and check the cache, replaced the log with supa water proof one. all is present and good. Happy hunting!
The GPS insisted we were in the correct location and we tried and tried to find it without luck. We were about to leave when decided to look in one last place and bingo, there it was. A fun cache to find TFTC
Very tricky! In the end, my initial instinct was right on target...though I didn't think so at first when I could not find the cache there. Luckily perserverence, and a bit of fishing around, paid off. Tftc
After complaining it just wasn't our day, one of us saw something out of place and after having looked there originally, we located the cache. Phew!

Joined forces with yorkshirekiwi83 this afternoon, with the main goal of clearing the caches out at Sanders Reserve, Paremoremo. We stopped at this cache on the way out and made a quick find of it at GZ. When we got back to the car another vehicle arrived that looked like they could be cachers and sure enough it was pazzabella! TFTC!

A nice easy park here, and lo and behold, a couple of suspicious looking characters. Aha! I thought so, look who's here..........the very busy yorkshirekiwi83- thanks for the tip ! and tftc
Met with Vistra at lunchtime with the intention of heading to those new ones out by the prison, this was on route. We had found the previous cache here so was familiar with the park.
Got to GZ and quickly spotted the hide, TFTC, just as we were about to leave another cacher turned up, ha small world sometimes

An expected and much appreciated early finish after my exam today had me eyeing up a few target caches and a chance to clear the Riverhead loop of errant puppies, piggies and all manner of other fauna. With some healthily loaded salad and tuna sandwiches for company, a full tank of fuel, and a promise of rain all afternoon I ensured I'd got my scruffiest caching attire and was all set. Hitting the trail before 1 this afternoon had me back at my accommodation beforte dark with a succesful mission achieved. All in all got all the targetted puppies, piggies and over 40 smilies, including a first Smile cache.
Heading down the home strait now and it doesn't look as though teh 18 caches at Paremoremo will be getting done tonight so just Riverhead to find some at then home (via a few more of course!)
Nice little reserve here and the nearby bridge is appealing too. Light is going now so time to get the last few caches.
A nice hide style here, well executed

Some work commitments got rescheduled or cancelled today so what to do? Hmm.. Find a few caches perhaps? Wandered up to GZ and had a look around. I had a pretty good idea where the cache would be but it still took me a little while to retrieve it. Clever! TFTC, Biggles.
Had a quick look around GZ but no luck. Neede more time I guess but had to get home
Was visiting the area, had a look for the nearby cache that was archived, just in case the old one was still about. But nothing found. So we went for a walk up the hill too this one, not sure how we missed on the first sweep, but a family walked past and asked where we looking for treasure?
Well my muggle friend said we were geocaching. Thankfully they knew all about it, as they had geocached before, but sounded like they have taken a break. Well with their help the cache was found, I offered for them to sign the log, to which they declined, but maybe they will return at another time, and log the find?
Thanks for the adventure and the hide

This had me hunting all over, when it should have been obvous. Ill write it off to brain fade after a long day. Thankfully a nice empty park to had all the time in the world to sign and replace the cache
An easy cache for a change from the C.O. This was nicely placed and I have never pulled over to this bridge and park before, but that's way it is with geocaching! It takes you places. Cheers lochy. Now I'll have a try at the multi just up from here.
Found the attachment, saw the cache, but the two weren't joined together. Probably had something in the car that may have rescued it, but with a full car park, a few of which we didn't like the look of, mucking about up and down the hill would have drawn attention.
Muggle free Sunday afternoon so was able to rescue the cache from its possible demise and reattach to original location, so no maintenance required! First cache in NZ AND first second to find
When we got an alert for a cache only 5km from home (at least as the crow flies) we thought it would be a good one to do for our daily cache streak with the added bonus of a possible FTF. So we were out the door and off to Riverhead.
Pretty sure we have found a cache in this park a long time ago. Today we walked up the hill to GZ, and quickly realised where the cache would be. There was a couple seated nearby, but they were not looking our way, so we made the grab and were rewarded with the cache - and the FTF . Thanks lochnessmonsta - great view of the river from here, in both directions.
