TftcWelcomed to this park by the stock across the road. The steers were very vocal, and one of the horses gave a neigh before they all continued on.This afternoon, another cache I've had better success with than previously. Easily spotted in its hide. Quickly onto the next.
This is a nice little park for a rest and run around. After reading about the trees we wandered over to GZ and made a quick find, although water has gotten in and destroyed the log. Thanks for the cache
Full time Nomads, travelling around Australia since 2014. Staying a few days in Grafton. It was after lunch before we set off to explore using Geocaching as our guide.Mr Felix jumped out here hoping for a quick find but it was anything but. Mrs Felix eventually walked over to see what was going on and Mr Felix said oh there it is, why didn't I see that.Just stand back and look, no searching required. TFTC Baby Birt
With a challenge cache in Brisbane at the front of mind I headed south for the long weekend with a few very distinct goals in mind.Having fought my way through the traffic last night I pulled up stumps in Ballina and arose for the short hop to the target area this morning. After finding a safe spot to park the car I made my way quickly to ground zero and quickly located the cache safely tucked away waiting to be found.Log signed and safely returned to its hiding place I returned to the car and made my way to the next adventure. A big thanks to the cache owner for Making this cache available to be found.Cheers
Not having a good run today some workers were standing around GZ. So had to give up.
Given the significance of these trees I hope the cache is NOT hidden on the trees. There is visible damage to at least one tree most likely geocaching being the cause. I looked at the trees and the sign with no luck today.
This is a little known reserve. It is very nice to walk through and council is adding some nice paths to have a stroll on. This one surprised me, I thought it would be in a typical Birt location. Not this time, cache is in good shape.

Sadly it seems Weeping Paperbark is missing. Probably due to work ongoing there. Will replace forthwith....
DNF as area is being renovated. I also didn't spend long searching as the wasps found my thigh a bit tasty.
3rd time unlucky again here. Has been a heap of tree works done in the area so maybe the container has been spotted and removed ?
Inspiring find. Thanks so much baby birt. Your cache is still in good shape 6yrs down the track. Great idea
Found it quite quickly. Council needs to come through with a mower though. Thanks for introducing us to the weeping paperbark. Tftc
So happy to exchange the blue frownie for a yellow smilie. Can't think how I missed it the first time though!
No luck for us today. I will admit to not giving it the *most* thorough search, as we still had a bunch of unfounds ahead of us and didn't want to muck around too long in one place.
With a DNF rate of 20% I would seriously think about maybe increasing the D rating to at least 3.... just my opinion....

After deciding look around at the town caches , I could only find one. Maybe I need my afternoon coffee more than I thought.

Found tyftc. Having a week caching our way from newcastle to brisbane. Find #1/1690
Nice paperback, I've not seen these up close before. The things we learn when we pause to see the details of life. Nice. TFTC
"Weeping Paperbark" cache is still in place and in good condition, exactly where owner hid it more than four years ago. Geocachers will be looking for a film canister.
Please take notice of the planting here that has formed this this leafy area around the Weeping Paperbark, and all inspired by one local resident.

spent a good long time in the park but a gentleman was doing a lot of work in that area where I was looking will be back
Was our second search area for the morning and our GZ had us not at a paperback, so we divided our resources and commenced searching what was left. After 20min still nothing and workman nearby started his 4B and sending diesel fumes our way, perservered a little longer anf then the heavens opened, obviously letting us know it was time to take a break. Left and went and grabbed the first WP for the multi and on our return the 4B was gone and we commenced our searches again. After reading several previous logs it had to be there and then that magical moment occured, nearly missed it but recovered the moment and stamped the log. Replaced, good luck for the next cacher.

Wandered around for ages here scratching around and peering into every nook and cranny and scanning the trees but this one was too good for us today. We'll be back!!
What a great little area that has had a lot of work put into it.
Lots of info boards about and there is more work being done.
Had a long walk around before making a quick and easy find.

Baby Birt did a maintenance check here today 10.5.18 and found cache in good order exactly as originally placed. Thanks all previous geocachers for keeping it that way.
Seachrched with the kids for about 7 minutes, hint was a bit wage as it could have meant it is one those paperbarks or that it is not. Anyhow some work was done here recently so there is a small chance that it is missing due to that.
Find no 10 for our mornings caching on last day of Yamba Holiday. Gs had me at the wrong tree for a while. TFTC
We are on our way to attend a geocaching event at Di Morgans Port Macquarie. We enjoyed doing this cache. Nice hide. Thanks to Baby Birt for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
Great camo and cache in good condition.
Found with The X-Trailers and The Mercs1.

In the area, passing through, I couldn't pass up more caches in town.

We were just about to give up on this one as we thought it might still be on the ground and there's been a lot of new mulch laid. We each had a different tree as our GZ. As Mr. Herbz was heading back to the car Mrs. Herbz had a final poke and spotted something nestled between. Calling Mr. Herbz back Mrs. Herbz let him put his hand in an there was the cache! TFTC Baby Birt.
Busy part of town today - on third drive there we were able to search and find the cache. Looks like they are revamping the park. TFTC.
On our to this and just drove past, two work cars there, hmm ok next, finished the town and came back, still three workmen talking over the signs nearby, ok ice cream time, ok if they are still there I am going to explain what we are doing show them and tell them how geocaching is good for their community as it brings people into the town, hmmm one car no person, so we head in for a very quick find, sign log and hopefully whoever was left there did not notice us. TFTC
Find No: 5279. Visiting from Newcastle, in the area to see friends from Tamworth and Manchester UK, thanks for the cache and bringing us along this road Baby Birt!!
We chose a nice damp day to complete the Glenugie - Tyndale Trail. The rain was mostly light showers & then came down heavy as we came to the final. Our GPS has often wanted to send us on this road to Port Macquarie but we have always ignored it. Now we know what the road is like.
We found this one on the ground, but was not sure weather we had dislodged it from its hide.
Thanks for placing this cache Baby Birt
