This tree was definetely bent over and very rotton now! What a stunning spot to find ourselves on Labour weekend. The rain and sun fought each other but we just sheltered and explored as we could. TFTC
Out for my second run around the bike park. Bit cold tonight, but no a cloud in the sky.Found the cach no problem. Thanks G-2s bodyguard
Well, it is bent. I followed the trail around to the left to see if I could find some things earlier logs had mentioned. Recovered fairly quickly after that
Trust the GPS before the hint for this one as you may wind up spending longer than you should looking like I did haha. TFTC!
so we had seven paces south but that was a quite small thorny-ish little bush/tree. no luck here ... found another spot "at base of tree" want matching well . so habe up in the end
After quite some back bending and head scratching, we read some info in earlier logs. Clearly we had fallen for the red herring and found the cache easily after looking in the area of the fallen tree. Tftc
After a small heart attack as geohounds number 2 got a bit to I close to the edge, found after some prickly attacks. TFTC
I let MisterAnthony get in amongst it to grab this one, while I wrangled them hounds! TFTC
Searched the wrong bent tree for awhile but saw the last finder said it's a bit of a red hearing. Thought outside the box and found it straight away.
Both a DNF here by Mr and Mrs Geckoh, getting a good spread of blue faces out here!
'Bent over' tree is a bit of a red herring. As beginners we had to come back a second time to find this one. But got there in the end
Out caching today as Team LARPS and geopup, enjoying the sun and fresh air. We had some mixed success along the route but were pleased to find this one.Lycurgeon found this one, as I was approaching a different way and Anastriel and Reveurs were looking at another spot. Cache seems in good condition. Thanks for the cache and bringing us to this park. #1627
the view is beautiful, it took us a few minutes to find, we left some little toys behind, thank you for the awesome cache
In the area today with a pass for some long awaited cache location, and had this location on my radar for sometime.....As it was during the week enabled me easy searching in the park today.....The cache is all good.TFTC.
Found the area easily enough and it was a lovely, quiet spot. Unfortunately the weather started to turn and knowing how slippery and muddy the walk down was, I didn't fancy trying to go up the hill in the rain, so abandoned the search. I'll be back on a drier day!
Despite the rain, I wanted to get a few caches this weekend. I headed to Paremoremo to pick up Sid, and we decided to go for a walk around Sanders Reserve and see what we could find!
We ended up with 5 DNFs (aka reasons to come back) and 8 finds, with 6 not attempted. Definitely an excuse to come back!
We had a good hunt for this one, but with the GPS jumping around, and the hint providing lots of options, we moved on.

Nice to go find this one after another failed attempt at the difficulty5 up the hill.
Found quite quickly thanks to the hint and previous logs. A pair of muggles walked straight past me whilst I searched and didn’t even notice. TFTC
Out with Team Gold today collecting a few caches in the Albany area. Another quick find by the team. Enjoying the walk. TFTC
Team G0LD was on another geocaching trip to Auckland. A group of 4 hiders sharing their passion and knowledge of cache making was the main event today.
We left Whangarei at a reasonable hour (7am) this morning to spend the morning walking around Sanders Reserve at Paremoremo. We were very fortunate the weather played ball.
Nice views from these Fab points. I spotted what I thought was the hint as we came down. We did a bit of back and forthing following the GPS before going to my original spot. Yip, another cache easily found, thanks

Team G0LD on a mission again today, with the 4 hiders event in the afternoon the main target. A walk around Sanders Reserve at Paremoremo was also planned if the weather held up, and it did, thank goodness.
Another walk out to another neat point. Lis made the find here after a minute. TFTC

Actually I let GeohoundandI find this whilst I was looking at the fab view.
Found with flossieteacake. Didnt take us too long to find and the view was fab. TFTC
Grateful for the good hint which meant the cache was quickly found. Meant i could spend a few more moments enjoying the fab point scenery. TFTC
Look "inland". We looked quite a while for this one. Nice placement. This was a husband find. Tftc
Find number 7025. On a mission with ABCDF4 and eyespyben to grab a few caches in this area. I really enjoyed the walk around this park. Lots of people and dogs in one area while it was quiet in the other half. Thank you for bringing me here.
Decided to have a day cacheing day just out of Auckland
With EyespyBen and KGD
Never been out to Sanders Reserve

The cache was a few meters away from where the GPS pointed but the description was clear enough to zero on it. TFTC
Nice little trot down to this one and after admiring the view at the end, I retreated and found the cache as per the hint.
A sports afternoon early finish and a hope to progress my Wonders of the world (virtual as we cannot travel for now) and needed Macho Pikachu to maintain my initial set. I'd noted the nearest was on my incomplete series across Paremoremo and so wanted to rectify and improve those green blots into yellow smilies.

Found with NZDi after a previous DNF on another of this CO's hides. We are up from the South Island for the week with our extended family for a holiday and took a break this afternoon for a bit of caching. Having scoped out the area as a target rich environment a couple of weeks ago when planning for the trip, we came to see what we could find given the 90 minutes we had before dinner.
Thanks to a very descriptive hint, this was a QEF.

This could have been a very tricky hide for me, but looking around for the hint item, and with a bit of a backtrack, I soon had located the cache.
Another fab point to hide a cache. Thanks for the adventure G-2's Bodyguard

It was the only hide I missed (not attempted) in November 2017. Found it today on Auckland Anniversary Bank Holiday beautiful Monday on my second visit at Sanders Reserve. I should bring my bike with me .... Well .... TFTC!
Easy find when you find the right tree! A bigger bent over tree up the track a little which threw us off!
Our last find of the day during our walk around the reserve and a great one to finish on. Such a nice and peaceful spot. TFTC.
This one seemed to have been missing last time we came looking for it but found quickly this time, thanks for the cache. A very fab point indeed!
GPS was a bit off. not so close to the cliff as I was thinking. Took a while of hunting for this one but we found it.
Out with friends in Sanders reserve, getting our caching eyes back up to speed before our big labour weekend caching run. With Loz47.
Good view from the bank accross the estuary. Nice way to start a good walking morning.
This weekend it was a chance to start working my way though parts of west Auckland in the company of Mr McC (McCuthan Cache Clan) so the plan was hatched (infact it was a plan from a few weeks before that had been canned due to unforseen circumstances) So now it was a chance to make the most of it.
Caches were signed in generally with MCD (or some variation there off). So off we set nice and early so as to hopefully keep ahead of the bad weather along with the Auckland traffic (which at that time of the morning when we passed through on our way north was most reasonable.
All in all we manged approx 70+ caches and still made it back to Hamilton by 4.30pm which I suspect was a surprise to our respective families.
Another well found cache for the day soon located the cache then the hunt begins for the next. This reserve was one of the targets fro the day and just hoping to get through it without the rain getting us
Nicely laid out cache
Thanks for the placement, Thanks for the cache

Out with Cats&Dragons on a late night - early morning cache run. Logs were signed MCCD but may have varied a bit as tiredness settled in. Thanks for placing this cache and giving us a reason to visit
Bertie and I met up with Nakored for this cache after a Tb meet up and had a quick easy find. A great view point to look over so long as geohounds don't venture too far. Tftc!
Wandered down here with Pazza, Nakored, and a large pack of geodogs, after spending an age hunting around for Brer Rabbit further up the hill. This, thank goodness, was a considerably quicker find for us tftc
Perfect early winters day to take out geodog to stretch our legs and get the blood circulating. TFTC
Thought we would check out this reserve today and pick up the caches in the area. Enjoyed a nice and lovely stroll around this quiet reserve that we had never visited before. Lots of trees that seemed to match the hint to us, but we eventually found the cache container. Looks like all the camo has come off the container though. Thanks for the hide!
