Omegaman1971Support Your Local Villain Live - Laugh - Lurk Caches Found: 13036First To Find: 149Sidetracked Cache Finds: 117I finally attempted the Winston Wander series that I had heard so much about, and it did not disappoint. I loved the variety of different containers and camouflage methods used. Most of the GZs were deserted due to the school holidays, but there were still a few muggles to deal with. Thanks to SKI Pair for a great day of caching fun!"Any day caching is a great day, but even better when the Co is a good friend.

Date: October 7, 2023 Time: 11:46 AMFind #14240After completing my Saturday ritual, a parkrun in a random town somewhere in Victoria, this time it was Churchill's turn. After a coffee with the run regulars, I went for a walk around town, picking up some caches along the way. It was a pleasant day for a wander.Massive thanks go to SKI Pair for placing this one.
Day two of a short trip into Gippsland with the deadly treadly for some caches. This morning I started in Morwell at the Crinigan Bushland Reserve.I then went to Churchill and rode the loop of the LV Event caches and some of the Winston Wander Extension caches.A nice ride around on a mild day.Lots of cars parked, but no muggles around atm.Nice hide. Thanks, Robmc.
TFTC found on a cold spring morning which soon warmed up to a lovely day. Found out on our electric wheels with Algae ️ scooting around the area. Nice place to visit first time here.
Tftc SkiPair. Time for a short 2km stroll with the geohound. Quick find, even at night.
Heading down the line to do a bit of shopping but there is never a day out without some caching involved. On the way down decided to finally tidy up a few caches in the area. Parking nearby made a quick find.
Thanks SKI Pair

Spending the day caching out with @mtrill3 this one was a nice quick find today. TFTC
On a sneaky midweek getaway we stopped to do this series of caches and we’re not disappointed all very interesting and clever caches this one was no exception a quick find and another fun hide, thanks for placing this cache
Last find on our walk around Churchill. A nice new log freshly signed & we had this one squared away. Tftc
Sometimes the nice straight forward ones are nice - but for a moment I thought it was trapped ….nope just nicely secured.
We love driving around this Uni, parking almost anywhere in a carpark for free and finding caches fast!
Love it, love it!

Another quick one, had lots of natural camo from arachnids used my pen to clear a path and a quick grab… thanks skipair Happy Easter
After going for a bike ride today we decided we needed to walk out the muscles so stopped here to check out the university while there are no students are about.
Because I am into native plants I found walking past the gardens very enjoyable as there is some great specimens here.
A quick find and we didn't have to worry about stepping on any plants

Could've got this one yesterday but it was raining and the description was a bit misleading, logbook and ziplock bag needs replacing so we couldn't sign it.
The Sun had come out and living in Baw Baw shire we were not locked down so i decided to head out for a day out of the house and what better way than a drive around your own area picking up caches, Gippsland has some great locations to visit and lots of caches that have not been found in awhile, so with my new caching gear gloves and sanitizer I had a great time touring around the area finding caches and exploring new places. "The cache is not located in any plants " Really I think the plants have grown since this was hidden as I had to wade through them to reach GZ.
Thanks SKI Pair for the cache.

Came to ride our bikes around the area and find a few caches on this beautiful day. GPS had us all over the place but eventually found it. Needs a new log.
Out after work for a wander as the storm clouds gather. This was a quick easy cache, especially with the obvious trail tgrough the garden. Amazing how little it takes. Cache found in reasonable condition. Log sheet is starting to tare a bit along fold lines. Those stupid monotone hooty birds are out again. Serioysl6 wait they'd change it up. Tftc
We are enjoying a long awaited caching weekend away. Our research suggest there were some pretty good caches down this way. Today the plan was to hit up Churchill. Getting on abit of a roll now with the Winston series. We really have picked best weekend to do these caches, all quiet around here. Tftc
Came on a weekend in the hopes of less peeps, i was wronghad to look extra casual. Tftc
We decided to try and find as many of these as possible whilst there was no muggles around to have to explain to. This was a nice quick find. Thanks for the cache.
Invited for a day out caching today with OHC GT37, P4506 and M&K (as a lot of logs were signed this way), we headed east to see if we could rectify some DNF’s from last time, and cache out some area. Some zig zagging occurred, but all clues & gems were found for M&K, a puzzle OHC & GT37 solved found, and some very high quality hides and scenic spots were discovered. A great days caching! A nice park and grab on the weekend. I imagine it would be difficult during the week! Thank you so much for placing this one for us to find SKI Pair.
Out on a girls day out with OzHockeyChick, geoturtle37 and becNmonts caching in the local area.

Took the drive to Churchill today to see if we could lessen the number of unfound caches we had there. After 3 hours, we had put a big dent in the numbers and converted them to smiley faces. Not one DNF today from all we found, which we're happy with.
Thanks to the CO for this placement.

We made a detour, on our way to a nearby family event, to find a few caches in town today. The car park was deserted today making for a quick find. This one brought back memories of my recent uni days...years and exams in the nearby building.
Thanks for an enjoyable cache.

Catching up with some very late logs
We had set aside a few days to explore Gippsland with alansee endeavoring to aid him reaching 30,000 finds before the Queanbeyan mega event at Easter.
We visited rail trails, parks, mountains seeing beautiful scenery along the way as well as enjoying some lovely walks as well as some easy drive by's. The weather was mostly kind to us enabling us to search for the caches in comfort.
The car park was almost empty today and a quick find was had with out needing to go into the garden.

Camped at Gormandale after returning from Tasmania. Out for a few caches today. Twenty four for the day, quick find, cache and contents all good, good coordinates. Took nothing, left nothing. TFTC
I didn't read the map correctly, so we parked too far away.
Than we had to wait for passing traffic.
But after all that it was a quick find

Hi there SKI Pair.
Today we were very fortunate to have Ski Pair chauffer us around the area as they did a maintenance run on some of their caches. Our initial plan was to walk around Lake Hyland before the weather got too hot but then, as the weather wasn't too hot, we also managed to find quite a few others while Ski Pair looked on (without giving any hints).
We are quite impressed with the quality of the caches we found today, a lot of thought and effort has gone into their location, size and placement. Congratulations to you both.
All up we found 16 caches & DNF'd 0 in this cache run. Thanks for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places while we meander our way around Australia.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape, the plant life has certainly thrived here..
**Took:** Nothing
**Left:** Nothing.
Regards
Ian & Penny.

I was pleased I didn’t have to look in, or under the plants in the garden here. They are not particularly hand friendly and there’s so many of these stroppy plants in this bed alone. The Evil Muggle did battle with the plants and made it to GZ where the cache was quickly found. A lovely park and grab, luckily without too many Muggles around.
We were worried we might look a bit sus with this one here, but pulled up in the dark, happy to find the carpark deserted. Jumped out of the car and headed over to the likely spot when a car suddenly appeared literally out of nowhere, and a friendly security officer rollled down the window and asked what we were up to. Realising anything we said was gonna sound lame, we admitted to geocaching, which they were totally cool with, driving off and leaving us to our search. A nice easy find, SL TFTC
I found it... but it felt *really* awkward skulking around the car park, even though the place was almost deserted (hopefully no one watching through the windows thought I was eyeing off their car). TFTC anyways.

Quite a few muggles around today surprisingly and a few good hides.
And a few more evil ones too. Nice and easy.
Thanks for the cache and the series SKI Pair,

Found this one today on a caching day in Churchill with Bigrobv. A nice straightforward hide and a quick find and sign. Thanks for the hide
After having a DNF on another cache in Churchill, this was a straight forward find.
After reading some of the previous logs I would hazard a guess it was a little bit trickier in it's original hiding spot.

Yes indeed, the tree has been felled and the cache hiding place has gone. We have replaced the whole cache a short distance from it's original site, but still in keeping with the cache name.

Looking looking on 15th at the Uni set of Extensions....this one might need putting back in its original spot as we found it on the ground and couldn't see where it might have been originally. with TrudyJane and Sussex Wanderers.
We have finally arrived home after 6 months travelling. Thankyou to Freddo who looked after our caches while we were away.

I notice from recent log entries that this cache would seem to be in need of owner intervention as there are one or more comments in regard to the state of the cache log. It leads one to the contention that the cache container is no longer weather proof. Therefore I am temporarily disabling it so as to stop it showing up on search lists and to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary.
A basic tenet of geocaching is that **the cache log needs to be signed to record a find,** see here: [Logging of All Physical Geocaches](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#logging). At the moment this would seem to be extremely difficult if not impossible to meet that requirement in regard to this cache.
Prompt attention by cache owners to any log that indicates anything could be amiss is greatly appreciated by all seekers. The guideline advises; ***"if you can't check/fix it straight away then Disable it till you can."*** see here: [Owner is responsible for visits to the physical location,](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#cachemaintenance ) and here's how; [Temporarily Disable and Enable,](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235) also check out this Blog: [Helpful Tips To Keep In Mind As A Geocache Owner.](http://www.geocaching.com/blog/2015/03/you-hid-your-first-geocache-now-what/)
Please respond to this situation by **8th September** to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness. If you require more time, please be sure to post a "Write Note" log (not an email) explaining the situation and how much more time you require.
**And don't forget,** once you have addressed the issue, post both an "Owner Maintenance" log, see here; [Removing the Needs Maintenance Icon](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) and an "Enable Listing" log, see here; [Temporarily Disable and Enable](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) to get your cache up and running again.
