Omegaman1971Support Your Local Villain Live - Laugh - Lurk Caches Found: 13022First To Find: 149Sidetracked Cache Finds: 117I finally attempted the Winston Wander series that I had heard so much about, and it did not disappoint. I loved the variety of different containers and camouflage methods used. Most of the GZs were deserted due to the school holidays, but there were still a few muggles to deal with. Thanks to SKI Pair for a great day of caching fun!"Any day caching is a great day, but even better when the Co is a good friend.Stealth needed for this one !!!

Day two of a short trip into Gippsland with the deadly treadly for some caches. This morning I started in Morwell at the Crinigan Bushland Reserve.I then went to Churchill and rode the loop of the LV Event caches and some of the Winston Wander Extension caches.A nice ride around on a mild day.A few muggles around the entrance but not too many to stop me finding the cache. Thanks, Robmc.

Coords out today but managed to find it.

Out with Shumba7 on the geoscooter and geoeuc. TFTC.

03-Sep-23
Finally found it after nearly giving up. Coords a bit out. Expanded our search and soon had log in our hands.

TFTC found on a cold spring morning which soon warmed up to a lovely day. Found out on our electric wheels with Algae ️ scooting around the area. Nice place to visit first time here.

23-Jul-23
Heading down the line to do a bit of shopping but there is never a day out without some caching involved. Leaving the car at #5 made our way around the uni finding caches as we went. Thankfully searching on a Sunday as I imagine this one would be very tricky on a week day during school term.

Thanks SKI Pair

Spending the day caching out with @mtrill3 this one was a nice quick find today. TFTC

12-Jun-23

Thank goodness find straight fwd. tftc SKI Pair

09-Dec-22
Tftc SkiPair. The term has ended, the year is nearly over, the students are huddled over their computers gaming away and it's 7:30 pm. Not a sole in sight! How good is that!

13-Jun-22
Might be tricky finding this one on a uni day. Interesting nearby artwork.

03-May-22
Parked ourselves in the free student car park and went for a short walk and found the cache immediately.
Nice pickup.
We will have Our lunch in these nice gardens/parklands, after all we pay our taxes.

Well after security pulled me up I had to explain I was geocaching he put me on the right path, no luck here, I’m sure I seen pennywise though , will try again in confirmation cache is still there thanks

08-Jan-22
After going for a bike ride today we decided we needed to walk out the muscles so stopped here to check out the university while there are no students are about.
Because I am into native plants I found walking past the gardens very enjoyable as there is some great specimens here.
Took a bit to find this cache as the GPS was pointing elsewhere, I imagen that normally this would a difficult cache with lots of people about but today there was not a sole so we could take our time

Took a bit of time.

This was another cache I’d tried finding on a previous visit to Churchill. It turned out that I’d been on the wrong level completely! I didn’t realise there was another way to access GZ. Once the right way there had been pointed out to us by the COs it was an extremely easy find. As we were here during school holidays during the COVID-19 pandemic there were very few Muggles around and we had no problems accessing the location. Now all the caches around the university grounds currently there have been found. I’m feeling very satisfied.

21-Sep-21
Our second stop of the afternoon took us to my old stomping ground, which I haven’t ventured back to for about 17 years - it was Monash University back then! I haven’t been game to attempt this one, but being Covid times and school holidays, we boldly walked straight up to a very quiet entrance with no threat of muggles and quickly located a familiar cache. Thanks again, SKI pair!

Out on a maintenance run today after returning from travel.
All good here.

04-Jul-21
After all the time I spent worrying about having to search for the cache while being discreet, it turned out to be one of the easiest finds ever! Just make sure you go during the school holidays, and in the middle of winter. TFTC

The Sun had come out and living in Baw Baw shire we were not locked down so i decided to head out for a day out of the house and what better way than a drive around your own area picking up caches, Gippsland has some great locations to visit and lots of caches that have not been found in awhile, so with my new caching gear gloves and sanitizer I had a great time touring around the area finding caches and exploring new places. I bet this location could get real busy at times.

Thanks SKI Pair for the cache.

Came to ride our bikes around the area and find a few caches on this beautiful day. Being a Sunday there was no one around which made it very easy.

Took us several minutes to find it
Looked at the wrong level first...

Hmm very sneaky, tested our limits here.. TFTC Smile

09-Dec-19
With GPS updated on my phone and the cgeo patch this cache became the easiest of the series. Was just a matter of looking in the most likely spot. In fact it was in the first place I looked. My 5km clearance challenge is almost achieved. Tftc

24-Oct-19
A lovely day, so out on the bikes for a maintenance run. All good here!

Not the best start to our Winston series. Ahh well it can only get better. Too good for us today.

Well this little poop had me stumped, several spots lots of head scratching and bingo! At long last. Tftc

04-Aug-19
Certainly can't say this was a quick find. We searched and searched on one level and then decided that it had to be on the other one. We made our way there and looked around. Eventually, the cache was found where we had already looked. Thanks for the cache.

04-Aug-19
We really must learn to read everything before we search. Even better , to take notice of what we read. Had we done that here, it wouldn't have taken so long to find. Thanks for the cache and bringing us here.

Invited for a day out caching today with OHC GT37, P4506 and M&K (as a lot of logs were signed this way), we headed east to see if we could rectify some DNF’s from last time, and cache out some area. Some zig zagging occurred, but all clues & gems were found for M&K, a puzzle OHC & GT37 solved found, and some very high quality hides and scenic spots were discovered. A great days caching! After starting at the wrong elevation, we corrected ourselves and GT37 soon found the cache in a spot that had already been searched. Oops! Thank you so much for placing this one for us to find SKI Pair.

24-Apr-19
Took the drive to Churchill today to see if we could lessen the number of unfound caches we had there. After 3 hours, we had put a big dent in the numbers and converted them to smiley faces. Not one DNF today from all we found, which we're happy with.

Thanks to the CO for this placement.

24-Mar-19
We made a detour, on our way to a nearby family event, to find a few caches in town today. This one had us arrive at gz on a sunny morning and chatting with a security guard about what a beautiful day for a walk and where he suggested to find some nice gardens around the grounds. Nice quick find in what could be a busy place, glad it was a quiet day.

Thanks for an enjoyable cache.

18-Mar-19
Catching up with some very late logs

We had set aside a few days to explore Gippsland with alansee endeavoring to aid him reaching 30,000 finds before the Queanbeyan mega event at Easter.

We visited rail trails, parks, mountains seeing beautiful scenery along the way as well as enjoying some lovely walks as well as some easy drive by's. The weather was mostly kind to us enabling us to search for the caches in comfort.

This one was located with out too much difficulty and we then ventured into the uni to grab a very nice cup of coffee.

Thanks SKI Pair for the cache.

Found with Team Crackers today. Cache was found easily.

24-Feb-19
Found after the event in town today. Nice quick pick up. Thanks

24-Feb-19
We turned but a car with some people were parked nearby.
We didn't known if we could get the cache from below.
Only to have the car drive by, and tell me 'it is up top'

The car was other cachers, that were cache blocking us.

Out caching with Sharon14
Thank you for the hide SKI Pair.

Hi there SKI Pair.

Today we chauffeured SKI Pair around the area as they did a maintenance run on some of their caches. We also managed to find theirs (and a few others) while they looked on with amusement at some of our search techniques.

We are really impressed with the quality of the caches we found today, a lot of thought and effort has gone into their location, size and placement. Congratulations to you both.

All up we found 11 caches & DNF'd 0 in this cache run. Thanks for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places while we meander our way around Australia.

**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking. Wink
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing
**Left:** Nothing.

Regards

Ian & Penny.

Found today with NoonaB on an afternoon of caching.

This was a fun one to find, we kind of felt like we were on display for a bunch muggles going about their business. After some stealthy and not so stealthy checks we didn't find it.. a quick review of the previous logs helped.

Thanks for the hide

Found this one today on a caching day in Churchill with Bigrobv. I have looked for this one before and wasn't sure if it was up or down, but after having a look at the access to the down area it's easy to see where it should be. I was wondering why the coordinates had me 8m out into fresh air and consulted some previous logs for a hint when Bigrobv announced he'd found the cache (about 11m from where my phone was indicating). The sign was made quickly and I was very glad to tick this one off, the final one I needed to find for this series. Thanks for the hide! Smile

It was the end of the day and nothing was stirring not even the security guard who I passed as I drove in.

A quick find was made and log was duly signed.
