Visited site today, cache is missing, area has been cleaned up , too out in the open to replace the cache.
Dogs barking, neighbours watching me and construction workers giving me dirty looks, I’m out
The odlids and I were greeted by nearby noisy dog who seems to be the guardian of this cache. We probably took longer than we should have to find it and quickly whisked it away out of dog range before sneaking it back into its hide.
Yep the dog barked and barked, but we found the cache and did the deed!

Looked in the most obvious place straight away, but didnt see anything so did a thorough search of the area until I had to go back to that same place and there it was!! TFTC!!
Ps: that dog is very persistent once it starts barking!!

Couldn't find this one after 3 of us searched around GZ for 30 minutes. We're new to Geocaching so we're either really bad or its not there. Will be back
We headed out on a geocaching weekend with Rapidlywild to collect the new puzzle trail in Helensburg and others along the way. The weather was not kind, in fact it was downright revolting at times, but we persevered through the rain, flooded roads and detours to collect the smileys. We tackled the trail and arrived in the Sutherland shire just on dark, time to find the hotel and grab a bite to eat before heading back out to grab a few more for the day.
We were spoilt for choice in this area as neither Rapidlywild or us had cached here before, there were quite a few slippery steps and slopes to tackle down to the water, but we managed to collect a nice bagfull before heading into the city to play our other addiction and grab a puzzle and an earthcache.
Apologies for the generic log, thanks to the cache owners for the placements, collecting them on this wet day only added to the adventure.

With the long weekend upon us, plans were in place with FurfacesLL to head towards Helensburgh to do the newly released puzzle series and what ever comes up. Weather in Helensburgh was far from pleasent....... we got pretty wet, came across some flooded roads, and some yucky leaches. We cached in Helensbough, Cronulla, Harbour Bridge, Bowral and even Goulburn lol we went everywhere [:p]
We had a swag of options available to us, so it was a matter of using the "Find Next Closest" on the GPSr and we let it make the choices for us Apologies for generic logs, lots of finds, lots of fun, slippery walkways, stairs and plenty of water lol.
Thanks heaps to FurfacesLL for another awesome weekend away, thanks Nana Nel for the cache placement [^]

18/2/17. 8:28 AM. Cache #4769.
3rd of 5 finds - Campsie, Caringbah, Caringbah South.
After "The Urban Jungle of Caringbah", I looked to see what options were around in the nearby area. "Shire's Treasure #3" might have been OK but too many recent DNFs and confirmed as missing by Team MavEtJu. So I continued south to this cache.
Parked on Crescent Rd and walked along the creek side until I was close to GZ. This started the dog from across the creek on a barking frenzy. I went over to a likely hiding place and made an easy find. Signed, replaced and continued on to "Séverine2016". TFTC.

Despite a few suspicious looks from the builders at the nearby construction site this was a quick and easy find. TFTC!!

Happy New Year all!
Scheduled to visit friends in the Shire this afternoon for our usual wine and dinner. Unfortunately things didn't go exactly as planned.
However, before arriving at my friends' place I did manage to grab six caches - and two more just before dark on the way home after our truncated evening.
Good start to the caching year.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Passed on another cache near my last find - too many muggles - and ended up here.
Started on the wrong side of the creek, but quickly relocated.
Approaching GZ I spotted a likely hide but the iPhone was pointing 10 metres past. But soon after I walked past, it flipped back to that spot.
As I spotted the hide a dog went off. Great. Took it out of doggie range for signing duties and then snuck back for the replace.
Only as I left did it go off again.
Still time for a few more - I can clear the peninsular here...

With the day off work it was a 2.30am wakeup in Goulburn to get the partner and our young geoson to the airport for a week long trip to Perth to see some family. The plane flew out at seven so I had a day off and in need of something while in Sydney. So naturally a good handful of caches would do.
Twenty finds and three dnfs while in Sydney and the Shire area today. I had a few trackables that I dropped near Appin today on the scout trails but they got some miles visiting all the caches today.
No disturbed dog here today. Quick find

Found my first cache. It was hard to find but I didn't give up. TFTC found with Jeanovanwam, Missa25, millymoo13 and Hailz13
Found it with the entire Geoclan! TFTC and thanks for driving Missa25! Well done Zooter10 on your first cache find!
I found this with my geotwin MillyMoo13 (3) and my geosister Zooter10 (5) TFTC SL thanks to the Geoparents Jeanovanwam and Missa25 for taking us out today!
Nana Nel I found your cache Up the Creek without a paddle on 17/07/2016, 11:49 AM. This is my find #1752 and find #10 today. A quick find, as soon as I opened the container, a dog from across the creek started barking. Thanks for the cache! TNSLLN
It was our first one so it took us a lot longer than it should have, but there were no goodies inside
Visiting sydney and staying with wazza9 and nana nel we stopped in here on the way back to their place after a day out caching with wazza9, arriving at gz we soon spied a painted sistema floating in the creek, thinking it had been muggled again we took the container back to wazza9 who said that the new container should be in place so we wandered back and found the new cache, time to head home for a well earned beer & out to dinner with the c.o and wazza9 before we head back to our home on the mid north coast. Really enjoyed our week in sydney, thankyou nana nel & wazza9 for your hospitality, very much appreciated.

Completed maintenance, replaced container and new log/ pencil just waiting to be discovered.
Our 2nd find kind of! We think we found the container as it was painted but it was empty!
Brought the kids out for a bit of geocaching but this was the only one we struck luck with today. Was grateful for pram access and the shade. TFTC
A really lovely little in-between spot. Device was going lala and not helping my search very much. It kept pointing me to another feature which I investigated from high and low but I knew something was amiss. But then I looked over there and thought really, could it be that easy? And it was. Found without camo and in full view so I tucked it back in a little hopefully keeping it secure. Thanks Nana Nel.
Out in the rain and looming dark as all true (or crazy) geocachers do! Parked the car and strode up alongside the wet creek until GZ loomed. Waited for GPS to settle and spotted where it might be. CIH! Now to find some shelter to complete the log. Hopefully it didn't get too wet. No dog or neighbours about to disturb. Must all be indoors with this inclement weather. That's where I should go now! TFTC. TNLNSL. #114 for Brewmaker.
I used to play by this creek as a 7YO back in the early 60's. Crescent Rd was just a dirt road but the council had to lay bitumen on the steep section to Willarong Road. Also there weren't as many homes here as there are now.
Thanks for bringing me back here Nana Nel

Completed owner maintenance today, pencil was replaced and I have notified the trackable CO that there coin in missing.
A nice early morning find after trying for a nearby FTF but getting beaten to it Nobody about making it an easy find. Took a trackable to move on. TFTC

Up from the Can visiting the family. Targeted this one to nab for my daily. No dogs or muggles so that made for a nice, easy find . Took TB and left TB and GC.
Thanks for the hide, Nana Nel

On the way back from locating " Challenge relocates Woolpack Rocks to Port Hacking" I diverted to take a look for this one. Soon had the cache in hand and signed the log. I had just finished the duties and was on my way out and the dogs started. I was out of there quickly. Dropped a trackable. TFC Nana Nel.
TFTC,
Went out for a while to start clearing my 5Km radius again. Failed with GC5RWNW before having success with this one.
Found a cache over the other side of the creek I think near here some years ago. It is now archived.
Parked a bit before the Bus Stop and was observed going Up the Creek by a couple of locals over the road. They are probably thinking that there is something illegal going on Up the Creek. Arrived at GZ (coordinates 2M out) and spotted a likely spot which was correct.
I had just opened the container when a nice puppy over the other side of the creek decided to tell the neighbourhood that I was there. The noise that dog makes is enough to wake the dead.
I quickly signed the log, visited trackables and left. The couple of ladies watched me return to my car before one went inside and the other walked up the street.

A quick find on a soggy day. Was muggled by a doggie on a balcony.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Thank goodness I didn't need a paddle. The ground underfoot was quite soggy and this little creek was no doubt a raging torrent over the past few days judging by the debris left behind in the park. Thankfully the cache was still in its hidey hole and bone dry inside.
although I spotted this one last Sunday and wanted to get it in Monday, reality interfered and it wasn't until today that I could get GeoDirk and HanorahTLG ready for it.
Now there are three ways to get to GZ, two easy one and one climbing in the creek and jumping over the water. Of course we spotted the two easy ones when we were at GZ. "Adventure above easiness" is our motto. Or is it "a straight line is the fastest path"????
TFTC. Left a dinosaur.
