This has been out of operation for over three months .....would be good if it was put back to life or laid to rest for good
could not find the cache or log ....there was a black cable tie around some off the tree shoots in a likely hiding place and lets face it there are not to many places you can hide a cache at these co ordinates, I have looked at the notes and see that something is not right here maybe you have a muggler that's trying be Mr clever as I do not believe the cache is there but would love confirmation ...love this area always looks good with the big leafy tree especially on a summers evening Thanks and look forward to your reply
A weird message inside and not normal log. Can only presume someone has replaced this, but we logged it anyway
Nice and easy, was uncovered, replaced some cover. TFTC

Another all day mission with 11HPG11 and iammrwalker, this time focusing on the other side of Tauranga. I had just finished logging the all the caches we had found in Papamoa when I looked at the map and thought why not have a crack at the other side as well!
A early start as we were on the road at 4.30am as we needed to be back not to late otherwise we'd be in the dog box when we got back home. Another fantastic day out with lots of the usual laughter and this time the weather was much better behaved. In total over 80 finds, with only a couple of DNF's and we got back in time to stay out of the dog boxes, just!
We signed the log books with Hi1, an acronym of our caching handles. A big thanks to all the CO's for all the placements, and for taking us to places we hadn't been before.
No issues with this hide, thanks for the placement.

Out and about trying to clear off another chunk of Tauranga geocaches. Again accompanied by HKCB and Iammrwalker, this seems to becoming a habit. Early start, head to Tauranga, cache the whole day, say we will be home early, end up being home later and then grovelling out of the dog box. This time we set off from Hamilton at 4.30am to try and get more caching done before we had to turn around. We seem to be enjoying this so much we are planning a return visit again soon. Signed our logs as "HI1" as an acronym of our respective caching names. A great, laugh filled day that was thoroughly enjoyed.
Nice straight forward hide thanks for the hide.
Nice straight forward hide thanks for the hide.
This was one of nearly eighty Geocaches I found in the company of HKCB and 11hpg11, we signed the log HI1, an anachronism made up of the first initials of our Geocaching handles to save on log space. This was our second trip to the Bay of Plenty. A few weeks ago we conquered The Mount and Papamoa and were back today on another infamous mad mission. We left Hamilton at 4:30 am and I was back at home in time to read my two boys a story and tuck them into bed at 7:30pm. We had a fun day exploring the area and got to see lots of parts of the area we hadn’t experienced before. A big thanks to all the cache owners who took the time and effort to place so many high quality and well maintained hides. Thanks also to HKCB for organising the day and driving. I think it was fitting to undertake these trips during the ‘Geocaching Road trip’ Groundspeak promotion, as it typified all those things that make a good road trip, most importantly good company. There were plenty of laughs and some memorable shenanigans.
Nice straight forward hide that was quickly spotted. TFTC.

we went there for the 3rd time, because we didnt find it the last times. thanks for the replacement. we left something in the box. very small box, so bring something tiny. tftc
Cache was missing. Have replaced with a Bison Tube for now in the same location.
I had an awesome caching day at otumoetai with thescoobydoos - without any kids for a change! Didn't need the hint for this one. Cool little park, good hide. Tftc
TFTC. This one was a quick find by my caching companion today. We eyed up the spot as we walked towards it...she tackled one side, I tackled the other....her side was the right side.
Came over to Tauranga to find the new puzzle just published so carried on for the rest of the afternoon and did a few others around the area. This was another on the hit list for the day.
Mr S issued the instructions, go that way but I'm not quite sure where you are going to park so be prepared. Right. Well, not quite prepared enough. Had do execute a u-turn to return to GZ. After a bit of hunt around the hints Mrs S found the well camoed cache. Mr S was hunting in another hint and found some yucky stuff.
Thanks kiwimikebop. Another green box gone.

Out and about turning local caches into smilies during a weekend at home. Not sure if we parked where we should have but a quick find and we were soon out of the way TFTC.
The fine weather held for the last day of May so we no excuse but to be out and about on our bikes. Found with little fuss and cache in good condition. Lovely area. TFTC
#6597. Parked on Chapel Street for a short walk. GZ was fairly quiet when we visited, only one other walker some distance away. Quick find. Good camo. The cache was in excellent condition. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log. Thanks for the cache.
We went for a short stroll in the breezy weather and although it looked threatening, the rain held off till we where almost home. Nice placement of the cache, signed the log, thanks for the cache.

Out and about looking for pills we had to settle for empty pill bottles disguised as caches instead....
Nice hide.

Just riding around on the airwheel found it... knew that was the place soon as I looked at it... nicely done
Put my hand into some stagnant water. Stink. Clearly the wrong tree. Found after some more searching.
This cheeky little cache wasnt too hard! Found it with my brother and my gf!! Good fun
Was out working in the area so of course took the opportunity to find this series. I parked right next to this and found easily. Is a great spot for a cache. Thanks.
#326 - After taking the dog to the vet, decided on doing some caching together. This a really lovely spot with all the big trees. Nice quick find. TFTC
Second find of the night I parked in countdown carpark and walked through park to GZ this was another fairly quick find co ordinates spot on for me. Thanks Mike no time to do your other cache will have to wait until next time
Another quick find for us today. Spotted some easter eggs on the ground... maybe the easter bunny dropped them on his way through? TFTC
Easy find. It is such a shame that Bureta Motor Inn isn't still there it was a great place tftc
A great first cache hide left the eggs for the easter bunny since he keeps giving them away.tftc
Stopped past for a nice quick find and our first stop this afternoon. Thanks for the effort put into your first cache placement and TFTC!
6.45pm - Dot Day so quick trip to Tauranga. The Squirrel was the driver tonight. Got to GZ and soon found great camo hide. SLTFTC
Finished work early today so what to do? Find some caches!!
Spotted a good GZ and found straight away. Lovely little spot this. TFTC.

Mallorcatommy and I were travelling through the northern island of New Zealand. What an amazing, breath-taking landscape! On our way we did some nice walks, enjoyed ourselves and found great geocaches. Thanks to all owners for nice hiding spots... We wouldn't have been to a few places without these little boxes!
This one we found quickly!
Thank you!

Thank you!
Every day we are traveling around is same but also different. Today we had again the pleasure to visit some very beautiful spots and were also able to find nearly placed geocaches. I thank every single owner for placing it and giving us with doing this an other good reason to come here.
Out and about collecting some of the new caches in Tauranga.
Using the hint it didn't take too long to locate the cache... nice camo. The coordinates were a few metres off for us but that's what we'd expect with tree cover.
Well done on your first hide

Dot Day... Desperate, I had to dig deep to fill this missing spot on the calendar. I just got my car back from the garage and it was a few minutes after 5PM. There are no easy local caches to find... so what do you do? I ended up driving 50+ kilometres to find a cache... The things we do.
This is the sort of hide one wants to find when desperately searching for a D-Day cache. It was fully dark, and my iPhone battery was about to die. I had time to read the hint and enough light to shine on ground zone. The cache was a quick find and was nicely camouflaged. Headed back to the car to do the business before returning the container to its hide. TFTC.

Out and about today on way home and thought this area may be a little quieter. Parked nearby and walked over and was surprised by the amount of cover. Spied the likely spot and walked up and yes there it was
We ventured out late today in the hope we may find kiwimikebop's first cache and we found a well hidden and camoed pill bottle as expected. This is an under-valued park in Tauranga, it is beautiful in many seasons from the autumn leaves to the spring bulbs and many times in between. It is a place we have often thought deserves a cache and now it has one. Thanks for the hide.
Been under the weather all day - about to go to bed, wife says "There's a new cache!", "oh, I'd better go get it then." I say. "Well if I'd known you were gonna do that I'd have told you about it earlier." "WHAT! What time was it published?" The rest is history - 2nd to find and unfortunately 2nd is only the first loser.
Found quickly with good co-ords 2145 - Cheers Mike, congrats on your first hide. Good work Bridgeaway on another FTF, but I have now laid down the law in my house - nothing is more important, these things are to be brought to my attention immediately.

Wohooo another third to find! After waiting for this one to turn up thanks to a Facebook heads up I was unable to head out straight away.
Bridgeway and Philip Perry were quick off the mark.
Congrats on your first hide. The coords were spot on despite the tree cover and the cache was exactly as it said on the box.
Well done and TFTC

Woohoo first to find !!! We logged this one at 9.17pm, less than 20 minutes after we got the email about this cache being published.
Mr Bridgeaway said 'hey a new cache not far away'. Mrs Bridgeaway said I'm reading, and Jack Reacher is about to get shot. Mr B said 'He never gets shot, and he can wait, this chance for another FTF can't wait, let's go.
So we grabbed the torches, nearly forgot a pen, and a short drive later we had the cache in hand, thanks to accurate co-ords and a helpful hint.
We thought there might have been others looking when we got there, but no, just us. We waited a few minutes after we logged the find, but no one else turned up. Where was nzkites, nzflossy, splatty and other keen cachers?
Good to see you put your first cache out there, kiwimikebop, it was a good one. We are waiting for more in this series.
