I looked up, I looked down, high and low, from the left from the right, from the front from the back and finally there it was, quite visible but well camouflaged, with no feeling in dark places required. TFTC
Found while accompanied by the CO on a bit of a maintenance run. The idea was she would chauffeur me around and I would find the caches, she would see if any maintenance was required. That lasted as long as it took for us to hop in her car and find it had a flat battery. Take two. Now I am driving with her directing me where to go. Had a fun few hours picking up caches around the area. Don't ask me where I actually drove, I was lost after the first few turns. These gates do look a little strange just standing there on their own. I looked from one side and didn't spot the cache, relocated to the other side and spotted it quickly when I wasn't looking into the sun. Signed and replaced as found. TFTC
Well that was seriously harder than it should have been lol, great place for a cache. Cheers TFTC
Found by caughtatwork on 24/08/2024 at 3:52:00 PMA nice find on a weekend of geocaching in and around the Shepperton area.Took nothing, left nothing. Thanks for placing this geocache here for us to find today, for without those who like to hide geocaches, there would be nothing around for those who like to find geocaches.*Overall Experience: 3*GAFF1
Rated: for Overall Experience
**Found with GoodLook and the Dame** Found whilst in Shepparton for the weekend to attend a birthday event. The thing I love about caching is the interesting stories, the extra interest and attention you take when traveling, the sight-seeing, the history, the interests of the individual COs, *the fantastic photo opportunities* and sometimes finding places that even some locals dont know about. I, like most cachers, look for more that a mint tin or a container under a bush. I appreciate the time that most COs take to construct a cache and write up a comprehensive listing and to create an interesting cache. **I love traveling this big land of ours.** I love taking the roads less traveled. I love the diversity of the land, the different scenes in the different seasons, the fresh air, the open plains, the lofty vistas and the magnificent waters. I even enjoy the longer scenic walks although I'm not as young and as fit as I used to be. I love the different coffee shops I find. I enjoy the times I cache with others but I usually cache on my own. The weather was glorious, the vistas stunning, the coffee shops pleasant and the company wonderful. Thank you Cybergran V for highlighting this area and for providing this game piece for our enjoyment. Appreciate your efforts. - P*Took*: Nothing*Left*: Nothing**Warning**, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to learning new things and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Cache on! **#18876**
Full time Nomads, travelling around Australia since 2014. In Shepparton for a few days as we wend our way towards Canberra for the GeoBash. Today we decided to have a lazy day. With a late start, then back to the van for lunch before tootling off and tackling a few more. Mostly less traffic in the CBD due to Sunday but the Harvest festival was definitely drawing a crowd there. TFTC Cybergran V [^]
TFTC Cybergran V your cache Q fer Tickets that we found today. Possibly our last caching day in Shepparton for his visit before moving on the South Australia. We managed 5 finds an 2 DNFs for the day. Thanks to all the local cachers for hiding and maintaining caches around the area. Until next timeWe looked and looked and then we saw it looking back at us. Find Count: 17475
I was looking for this cache and not finding it. Then it was time for my call to the Saturday morning ABC quiz. I lucked out on a difficult question and it was back to looking for this cache, which was then found in the first place I looked. Insert nano rant here...I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. After the week in Bright it was time to head home to Melbourne... via a longer than normal route so I could find caches in the Greater Shepparton and Campaspe LGAs... the things you do when you get bitten by the "challenges bug"... Now in the Greater Shepparton LGA, it was time to get serious as I wanted at least 13 Finds before leaving... This was one that nearly wasn't for me... the indicated GZ was "in the middle of nowhere" so I wandered around for a while before deciding that it must be in the obvious location. Hunted around there for a while before I finally saw what I was looking for... as plain as day, not really hidden at all. Thanks **Cybergran V** for this cache.
Took us a bit of searching. With all the zip ties attached to the structure I thought perhaps it might have gone missing but no, all of a sudden it just appeared in my line of sight. Does blend in very well. TFTC
Embarrassed by how long it took to find this one. Now that I’ve found it you can’t really not see it. Very clever hide! TFTC
Heading to a night in Shepp with LittleBoss2 and Sorceysal. This was a bit of a struggle as it was getting dark. LittleBoss2 and i clapped our eyes on it at the same time. Thanks again Val
In the area for a couple of days. Found with Bogonghazy and SS. Thanks for placing the geocache ??
Shepparton is an area that we often drive through but has never been a destination. This Kings birthday long weekend we made it our destination to tick off some caches in the area
Nice easy find

Who doesn't love a road trip with bogonghazy and littleboss 2. A bit of a search in the twilight. BH and LB2 both shouted the magic words. Thanks Val
Found the nicely camouflaged cache. Q may be useful in completing a challenge cache which I will need to find and sign.
On my way back home from Wodonga, via Rutherglen, Tatura and Newstead. Had signed a A-Z of cache names challenge in Rutherglen so I was glad to recall Cybergran had this series. I needed q, v and x, but only had time to collect two. This one was such a great hide, such good camo. Thanks
Clever little hide.
Had to grab one to keep my streak going.
Very happy to have queued for tickets.

Most difficult to look inconspicuous, but after searching high and low eventually the cache was in hand. TFTC!
Got the relevance of the title of this one straight away. The search for the discrete container took a little time but located relatively quickly. A passerby who was there before I saw her interpreted my hands roaming the structure as admiration for it - commenting on it’s beauty. Thanks Cybergran V.
This place brings back so many memories. I remember as a kid coming here with my mates, we used to have so much fun.
Being back in Shepparton after 19 years away is starting to feel like home again.
Of course this prime spot brings the muggles but I actually didn’t care at all.
TFTC Cybergran V. I can’t wait to complete more of your hides

Found on a sunny day while I was in the area. Thanks to the drive by hint from a passing geocacher! Found it soon after and signed and replaced. Thanks for the cache!
Tftc, as travelers to this state and town we were keen to know how this cache has been hidden so well to last. We loved it. Well thought out
Q is for quick but when you are my size it’s not a quick retrieval when muggle factor has such a high rating but N for Nimble action saved the day! In Shep on a few missions that included a visit to the newish fab art gallery and clearing the decks of a few solved puzzles so here I am admiring the iron work. This will be memorable as it took strategy! TFTC AND THE FUN Cybergran!
Apart from finding incidental caches in Shepparton when we have passed through before, we stopped in the city for a couple of nights and today we were guided around the area by a local cacher (for which we were very grateful. This was one of the caches we visited.
Accurate coordinates and looking at the site from the right angle led to a quick find of a well placed cache. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Cybergran V for another enjoyable cache in the series.

No queuing on a Sunday afternoon. This hide really blends in but persistence paid off.
Thanks cybergran
Thanks cybergran
We parked near GZ and once at the coordinates we realised we were rather exposed with quite a bit of traffic on the nearby road which seemed to be always stopped for the lights. The search probably took longer than it should have - but we eventually found container and could sign the log. Thanks to Cybergran V for the cache.
Spending the day in Shepp so must get a cache. Sneaky hide that took a while but I knew what I was looking for so persevered. Then, found, signed and replaced. No TOTT required.

Got a phone call from n0w0rries.
"Gotta take a load of lumber up the road. It's gonna be really boring. Wanna come?"
How could I resist such a sales pitch?
So there I was, at stupid o'clock, walking through a dark cemetery to ride shotgun. As you do.
And now, it was time to make my own fun while the delivery was made. As there were plenty of caches nearby that n0w0rries has already logged, I suggested he drop me off at this corner... and the fun began.
The terrain rating indicated one elevation, but I spotted the cache at a lower one, and more in plain view than expected as well. (where it should have been was confirmed by the CO later)
A nice cheeky hide, Cybergran V

My 1500! Found while out and about with Ms Maddie. What better place to celebrate your 1500 then at a local venue.

So clever!! Hard to find for us because it’s only number 3 and we had help locus cache thanks heaps for helping us rookies
Very tricky and so many muggles. After 20 mins have given up and will come back with a fresh head.
Out on another maintenance run with the CO. What a beautiful set of gates, and it is good to see they are still maintained. You could picture the day when huge crowds would line up to get their tickets to see the show. I personally would have loved to have seen the show grounds in their hey day. Cache found in good condition. Favourite given.
Found early on the way out to Gemmill Swamp Reserve to find a few caches. Took me a few minutes to spot this tricky little hide, but very few muggles out so early fortunately.

TFTC a day trip to Shepparton for a Scout activity, saw us looking for a few caches. Fast easy find.
Being a shorty I had trouble reaching it and had to wait in a break in muggles. Great hide TFTC.
tftc...found it quickly enough but had to wait for a break in the Muggle traffic to grab it. probably shouldn't have gone during arvo peak hour
A road trip up to Mulwala with day1976, we cached our way up. Had the kayak on the roof, for some water fun tomorrow.
This was such a little cache, I was surprised to find it so quickly. Needed the tweezers for this one though! As I was reaching for the cache, someone in a car going past yelled out 'look up high!'
I guess the locals know whats going on around here....

Ilukaperi and I had decided on a road trip up to Mulwala. There is an empty family home there, which I needed to check on and so we strapped the kayak to the roof and loaded up some snacks and made our way there once she finished work. But on the way we stopped to grab quite a few caches that all help us with different challenges we are working on.
Ilukaperi was on fire today. Just like the Ilukaperi of old. Nice to have her back. She spotted this one quickly, just as someone drove past yelling "Look up high!".
Thanks for the cache and thanks to the local for the tip.

First cache of the A to Z series. Trying to find something open for a coffee on a Sunday with limited options. Tftc
Was a cold winder night. Spent about 20 minutes finding it.
So well hidden, may need a boost if you're not too tall.

Found this little sneaky sucker while passing by, managed to find a park a little up the road and shot back across to the gz and it was actually the shortest in our group that spotted it. Left our initials and made our way back to the car. Still an impressive old gate way even though they wouldn't keep many people out, hoping that the local agricultural show isn't suffering like many other regions shows with a slow decline in numbers as people now have plenty of other ways to entertain themselves and catch up with friends, (like geocaching, hopefully that doesn't mean l am part of the problem). Thanks again Cybergran V for the hide and for highlighting this area, thoroughly enjoying the series so far.

Away for the weekend with Happy pants and omegaman1971. We were heading to Shepparton to do some caching, in an area we hadn't been before.
Many laughs and fun were had over the time, along with a variety hides found in some different areas.
Thanks Cybergran V for placing the cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy the find.

Fitzy_1965 and I travelled to St Arnaud with two geo-kids in tow.
Day 4 - Time to pack up and head home. Out of the caravan park by 10am and head out for a few last caches before leaving St Arnaud. Ended up taking it slow and got home just before midnight!
All caches found quickly and easily unless otherwise stated.

Day 4 - After breakfast and packing up our campsite we hit the trail for a few more caches around St. Arnaud before starting the long trip home. Next one on the list on the trip home. Quick find at GZ. Log was signed, cache replaced and it was off to the next one.
Thanks Cybergran V !!

After about 15 mins of searching high and low, we were ready to leave this for another day. Decided to have one last thorough search and spotted just what we needed. Very nice hide.
The first of this series down - came here while waiting for lunch and had an instant find. The signing was more inscribing because the pen failed but the dents are there. Thanks cybergran for the hide
With the last bit of work being done on our van and car we needed to lose half a day so decided to walk into town which took us past a cache - conveniently . Our phone initially placed us in the middle of the gravel area which was inconclusive. The phone's GPS then went beserk and insisted that we were standing the other side of the train line. With the phone in useless mode we finally sought guidance which was freely given (thanks Gran) and the sneeky little blighter was spotted. With the van and car finished after lunch we were finally on our way again. Til next time Gran. TFTC.
#3563 On a lunch break, visiting from Canberra. Found after a short search of the area. There were no the hiding spots. TFTC.
Found it on a night drive with dalerious. He sat in the car while I ran over to find the sneaky hide. After finally locating the hide I rushed back to the car to sign the log. Replaced the hide again. Luckily the traffic wasn't too bad. Thanks again for another sneaky hide.
