This was great - our first find! Sorry though, in the children's excitement some of the camouflage broke off. We replaced it as best we could. We saw another group later also enjoying the hunt!

Out on a morning caching run of the 10k with Ahomburg & 88Andy88. With expected rain it was great to have a sunny winters day but with a cold wind chill.

Wow now this is some cache creep!!, Cache found about 1.24km away (straight line) from GZ or about 95m from GC6K14X. It was spotted in the fork of a tree with 4 trunks near the car park while on the walk to another cache in the same park.
There was no code in the log book but both Ahomburg & Andy had signed it on different earlier dates as shown in the log book. Both also recalled it was probably from the Freeway Reserve circuit series nearby due to the effort applied by the CO on the container. But which one was it in the series??

So while doing the circuit in a clockwise direction we soon released which one as was as there was no cache at GZ in the obvious spot. So cache was returned and left with extra camo added now safe and ready for the next finder.

Just incredible to find a cache in these circumstances. A lucky day.

Headed out after work with an hour or so before basketball to try and find this series, managed 3 of 4 which is good for me as I am rubbish finding caches at night!!

After a DNF at #3, I was quite hopeful. lots of muggles about, but luckily they were all playing down below. A nice quick find here.

Final cache for the day and it was like Bourke St on this trail. People, dogs, and bicycles everywhere at 4:30pm on a Sunday. But we managed to reach GZ and everyone had deserted long enough for us to make the sneaky find.

On the walk out we passed a couple on bikes who looked like they could have been geocaching, but if so then they were WAAAAAY off the mark. GCA cache maybe? We left them to be (lest we look like the weirdos asking if they found it) and headed back to the car.

With a massive day planned and early rise of 4:30am I was off and away from home. I stopped here for a quick grab after a short walk to find it. There was a muggle sitting in their car as I parked and then took off. Bit strange. With torch in hand I soon had this one in hand with no one about before 6am. Signed and returned as found.

This was the last cache in this park overall we arrived at the park in the car and surveyed the area and realised how quickly we could have done all the caches here (we were in and out within 40 minutes) good thing we bought the bike now onto ferntree gulley park with like 20 caches in it tftc for this mini series TFTC TNLNSL

This cache was a extremely quick grab not even getting off our bikes coordinates were spot on for us tftc

After Mr Pooky completed his park run at Jells Park we headed to do this group of caches which were nearby. We seem to be doing this series in reverse order today. As we approached GZ we saw the obvious spot and Bingo there it was. A quick easy find and we did not even have to move off the track. TFTC and bringing us to this great park and walking track which we did not know existed.

Second of the evening

I needed a cache today for my calendar and this was a likely target. Although I was in the area this morning the rain was too heavy. Tonight I made the detour and the rain was very light. Just as I arrived at parking some 150m away my phone rang and I couldn't get off the call quickly so I started walking the rough direction. My geosenses were awesome and I noticed a geo trail and kept high. I luckily saw a glimpse of a container!!! Wow. No GPS needed! Thanks Bucks23 for the cache.

I'm a bit late logging this cache....well, very late really! I noticed that this cache has been archived after GZ had been taken away by the local Council, which is a shame as it was a good hide.

Anyway, kmace and I had found a few other caches in this reserve and then continued along the trail to this cache, our last cache for the day. As we approached GZ we spotted the cache as it was fully exposed. We retrieved the cache and signed the log at 5:25 pm. TNLN. We then returned the cache to its hiding spot with a bit more natural cover.

Thanks Bucks23 for the cache and the fun series and especially for all the exercise from the long walk around this lovely reserve. [^] I'm very sorry the cache has been archived but at least there are still a few other caches to bring cachers to this great location.

Found today with ladioactive. This was the final cache for today. She saw this one as we walked up to it. We signed the log and then continued.

Spent far too long looking in the wrong area, and only when I gave up and was leaving did I spot it.

This was our quickest find along the trail this morning while grabbing a few smilies, the cache was soon located and logged, thanks Buck23 for the cache and for showing us around this area.

Excellent spot. Couple of muggles around but did some subtle recon while they ran past and spotted a likely spot and Lo and behold had the cache in hand soon after. TFTC

We made good time heading back from the Mega at Casey Field so decided to stop and stretch out legs in the later afternoon sunshine and do a lap of the reserve. We were chatting away, using just the phone rather than the proper GPS so had no warning we were approaching. I checked my phone and it said 2 metres away. There it is, right under our noses.
This was our last find of about 130 over our 3 day weekend. Right off to the airport now, no more stops! TFTC

11:50, 13 November 2015. #284. I don't often get over this way, so while I was here on a quiet Friday morning I thought I'd give this one a go. I ended up parking closer to #1, so went and found it first. I was short on time, but luckily found #1 very quickly, so had time to give this one a go.

Again, the iPhone was pretty much spot on. Must have something to do with clouds as it normally sends me off on a wild goose chase or two before pointing me somewhere like close to the right direction. Well hidden, but quickly found.

I stopped at the Freeway Reserve whilst I was making my way towards the city during a cache run today. I had few hours to kill before meeting up with some others later so spent a nice hour meandering around the circuit here, finding the caches along the way.

A short search here and with the log signed I was heading further along the track to the next cache. Thanks for the hide.

Having found the first cache in this short series, I set off in numerical order to this cache next. As I approached GZ an obvious hiding spot presented itself...and for once it was the right spot. All I had to do to get my hands on the cache was fight off the ants...fortunately all very small and not particularly nasty in the biting department...

I actually spotted the container fairly quickly but discarded it in favour of more 'likely' locations. It was only when time had ticked away for to long did I come back to it and the cache was revealed. Nice

I was out caching with Hawley3 today and we were picking up caches around Chadstone and Brandon Park, although we probably would have got a couple more had it not been for muggles. Our last find in this series today and this one was thankfully a quick and easy grab. We signed the log and headed back towards the car. Thanks for the cache, Bucks23!
