Another cool spot that we visited after setting up camp at Tin Hut Camp ground. I was on one side of the bridge, looking around when I spotted it - you guessed it, on the other side. Fortunately Ilukaperi was already there and I could guide her to where I had spotted the cache. She didn't want me to throw the logging stamp across the river as she didn't trust her catching skills, so I had to come around. TFTC!

Camping down at the rubicon campgrounds, we had the tents up in record time so still had plenty of daylight left. We headed up the road to get these caches, went to the wrong side of the bridge first and day1976 went down the side, and spotted the cache as from his side as I was going down the right side. I grabbed it, threw the notebook up to him on the bridge, he stamped and dropped it back to me.

We're staying at Taggerty for a couple of weeks and since it has been too wet and cold for either a bike ride or a hike, we decided to spend our first day driving around checking out the area.

Another cache we circled around before it almost jumped out and bit us! Talk about cache blind!
Thanks for find #1442

Day Road Trip: Home-Healesville-MtDonnaBuang-[AcheronWay]-StFillans-Buxton-CathederalRangeSP-Taggerty- **Rubicon** -Home

Watching my mate and his missus vain attempts to locate this cache, and indeed as with many other caches today, is like a game of whack-a-mole but without the mallet. (More’s the pity on that point!) Both seem to disappear only to pop up again here, there and everywhere; so much so that I felt like whacking them both on their heads with a blunt object to settle them down. Eventually when they had exhausted themselves, much to Mrs B and my relief, “the adults” could then attend to the task of finding the cache. Thankfully this was the last one today so we were able to retire to the Buxton pub, sample the amber nectar available and pretend that today was nothing more than a (very) bad dream! Thank *(insert your God/Deity/Icon - whatever - name here)* that’s over!!

Last one of the day after a very enjoyable trip around the countryside with fellow cachers, it's surprising how many caches are around the area so we were able to pick up quite a few whilst enjoying the views. Yet another find by Wetjala to finish the day.

Out for a day of caching and sightseeing with Wetjala and Mrs Biggles in an area away from the bushfires. After travelling along the Donna Buang Road, the Acheron Way, stopping for lunch in Buxton and checking out the Cathedral Ranges we decided to head across to Rubicon. This was the twenty first and last cache for the day. The path to GZ was damp and slippery but we left it to Wetjala to make the final find of the day which he did with ease due to his stature. After a mornig spent climbing sugarloaf peak a liesurely drive was in order and the Rubicaon Valley beckoned. The random cache was in order and this one was first cab of the rank.

A short search and the cache was soon in hand.

Firstly, apologies for the very late log - I was on a nice drive through this forest in the geopaj and drove past this one so stopped for the hunt. There was a fisherman nearby but he wasn't an issue with cache hunting, and we even had a chat after I found the cache! Thanks to Beanslayr for this one

A trip up to Rubicon today to find a few caches. Ended up with 5 in total. Will definitely be back for more.
Had a great day exploring the area and seeing all the history. Magnificent forests, beautiful clean rivers, amazing waterfalls and so much more. Thank you for putting caches here to make me explore this area further. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole day Smile

A country getaway drive was needed and this area was recommended by a fellow cacher at an event yesterday.
Not to disappoint, it was the perfect peaceful place to get away from it all, and recharge the batteries.
I wonder if this ever floods. No vertically challenged folks here today.
Thank you so much for placing this cache, and bringing us here today, Beanslayr. Smile

Got a call this morning from Faulksi to see if I was busy. I wasn't, so we set off for a drive around the Rubicon area. This was the first stop in the area. Faulksi had been around here earlier so was only the chauffeur today enjoying watching me stumble around looking for caches. Thanks Beanslayr a nice spot.

Joint {ftf} with Faulksi on a quick run out to the Rubicon for a few new caches. Lovely spot to stop for lunch or even the night given the size of the camp fire ring. To cold today for swimming.

Joint {ftf} with Clever Monkey. This cache is one of several we did today in the Rubicon area. These were all well worth the effort. Thanks again Beanslayr. Smile
