Sadly we did not have enough time to pick up all the caches in this series today. As we are travelling and are vehicle based, it was interesting sometimes finding somewhere to park. We managed to find most of the series and had some fun along the way. Thank you to BallaratGeocachers for placing and maintaining the caches.
Took the geodaughter out caching to give the minister of domestic duties a few hours peace and quiet to get the house in order after xmas and boxing day celebrations.
No luck again here today. And was able to spent a lot more time here this time than my last look.

Nice sunny day to walk and pick up some caches. After 10 min searching found it. Tftc
Collected this on a nice quiet uni holiday after attending a workshop in the Uni Library. Find 1313 at 27 September 2016 4:56 PM

Today was one of those lovely spring days where the sun was shining and there was little breeze, a perfect day to get outside. Dropped around and picked up wozzle68 as I wanted to clear up some caches where he had a few remaining Ballarat ones left...
New container all good to go...
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment BallaratGeocachers...

Had to wait a while for a muggle walker who was taking their time. It appears that a significant part of the cache is missing. TFTC
caching in the early hours of the morning meant we couldn't see the dirt track. co-ords were not being friendly but with widening our search area we came up with the goods.
couldnt find the dirt track but did find the cache after a long search but smileys for all

A trip to Ballarat, to try and tidy up a few errant caches to the east, turned out to be a freezing and somewhat frustrating day. Back in September last year we commenced the Symbol Series, today we parked near the semi colon and rode towards the city centre as far as the tilde, which sits over the back slash on the keyboard a little qwerty as this is where we turned back!
We added our name to what remains of the container, some TLC is needed here.
Our thanks to BallaratGeocachers for managing this series.

Part of the container is missing and needs replacement & no log. As the cache is in need of owner attention. **It needs to be temporarily disabled by the owner** until they have an opportunity to check on the cache and take whatever action is necessary.

The actual cache has been... damaged. The lid of the bison is still attached to the tree, but the body is missing. We fished what was left of the log out of the wet leaves. GeoMsg me a snailmail address and I'll send it to you.
Day out in Ballarat with GeoSon #1, who was told to take a day off school because the rest of his year level was at camp. Find #2 Woot! Thanks heaps, BallaratGeocachers!
We first looked for this cache as we headed towards Adelaide in early March. Despite searching for about 10 minutes, the cache was not located. As we returned from Adelaide today we called in again for another look. This cache took a few minutes to locate. After identifying GZ and not finding the cache, we gradually widened our search area and finally found the cache about 11m from where our GPS thought that GZ should be located. The cache and contents were in good conditions. Thanks BallaratGeocachers for the cache.
12:29:00 PM. Back to finish this series that we started a few weeks ago. The better half must have her eyes on again today as she made the find. Log signed. Thanks BallaratGeocachers for placing this cache.
Found on a caching trip to Ballarat with Freddo and Team Waldron, after finishing the BSRT trail we decided to drive around and grab a few more caches, finding this cache = a TFTC
Heading over to Ballarat for a caching weekend and picking up a few caches on the way.
We managed to find about 230 caches in 3 days not bad work for 3 old guys
Another series of caches in Ballarat that boosted the numbers.
We weren't sure how we would be able to get to these but we mangaged most by car with just a couple of shortish walks.
Thanks for an excellent series.

We made the drive over to Ballarat with the main purpose of completing the Symbol Series of caches. To make it easier logistically, we were advised to start at Buninyong so we kept all the caches on the left of the road in case we decided to stop with the car at any close ones.
There was parking at the first few caches and we took advantage of it when we could, others we parked where we could and walked back or to caches, sometimes getting two while walking was easiest..

A trip down to Ballarat, and after we had completed what we had do do, including a bit of shopping, we decided to tackle the Symbol Series. We done it on foot starting at Mount Clear and enjoyed the walk along this path finding caches as went. Most of the finds on our journey were quick and easy and were a variation of hides.

Found in the company of Biggles Bear on a day's caching in Ballarat. Like a previous log mentioned, the co-ords seemed to be about 8 metres out for me today.

Found 3:14:00 PM, whilst out with Muzza for our first joint caching expedition for 2016. Today we headed to Ballarat to allow Muzza to complete his terrain/difficulty grid.

Just grabbed a cache quickly before this one and thought I have time for another. Arrived at GZ and thought "this might take awhile to spot" so started looking and got it in about 5 mins. Now I really do have to get going.
Found during a stop-over in Ballarat on our way to Melbourne for the week. Thanks for the cache BallaratGeocachers!
Another great find while in the area. SL - thanks for the fun caches!
Took a bit of searching to find.

Found with The Drovers and Team Crackers while visiting the area. This one caused us problems - we had a DNF on the way through but came back for it later and found it easily! That is caching.
We started this series back on Anzac day when we were up here for the event but unfortunately the heavy rainfall that day chased us inside. Today we joined forces with Alansee and The Drovers to try again. Fortunately a conversation with a local team the day before had us going mostly downhill which made for a nice easy ride.
All the caches we looked for were found fairly quickly except for Equals which we couldn't locate so we returned after lunch and it was then found in the first place we checked.
It's funny how many times that happens.
We apologise for the generic log but we were having that much fun riding and finding we can't really remember which one was which but we did enjoy the whole series.
Many thanks Shamus for putting this trail out, it was a great way to find some cache whilst having an enjoyable ride.

Day 2 camped at Creswick with Alansee and Team Crackers, we headed out to grab some caches.
We found a mixture of bike trails, walks and drive by's, which made a fun day.
Most caches were found after a short search, some a little trickier.
Many thanks for placing this series of caches, BallaratGeocachers, for us and others to find.

We are on a road trip to attend "The Melbourne Event" Mega, taking our time to get there and on the return journey. Fortunately, there were lots of caches along the way to tempt us to stop for a while to smell the roses. This was one of those caches.
We had made our way to Ballarat to attend the GIFF Event and to spend a few days in the area before heading off to Melbourne. We decided we would complete this series of caches while in the area. All were found with little difficulty and we managed to collect all the clues required for the final puzzle.
Thank you BallaratGeocachers for having placed the cache for everyone to enjoy

After travelling here from other side of Melbourne with Vanessa&Aodh (for an overnight visit nearby and dedicated caching time), we excited to be doing this Symbol Series. The weather was drizzly so we used the car to jump between some on the caches and walked between others as we have 3 kids between 5-7yo. We searched for a long time and even matched up a picture that someone took too. I don't like it when we miss one in a series. TFTC
This was another neat little hide and I was well accustomed with the style. The log signing was going on two directions so I added my name below stashaa in the gap.
Thanks for the cache.

I was in Ballarat on a cold, wet day and decided to do this series, which I managed to complete, including the Final Puzzle. I found the coords a bit further out on this one, only by a few meters. It took a bit of searching before finally spotting the blighter. I'm tipping a child or a large dog wrote the hint?? TFTC Ballarat Geocachers.
Found with The 2 Wanderers on a day of caching. Had a giggle at this one after we found it- we read the hint! TFTC
Found today with Misschief18. Uum I don't know who they used to measure the height of this one, it wasn't the person we expected anyway. Sneaky!

Out on the push bike to strech the legs and also pisk up a few caches along the way. Rode along a creek track that I'd not done before, so it was worth the effort.
This was find 13 of 16 finds for today, being found at 3:17:00 PM.
Thanks Shamus1 for placing this cache and bringing me here.

Nice to finally come back and grab this one in the series which I had missed. Coords still off today but I searched it a different spot and bingo easy find. Many thanks for a great series. Just need to get back out to the finale now!
Day 2 at Smythesdale we headed out to find some of the local caches in town. We started with the Symbol Series Plus a few bonus caches.
This was a nice series to walk, the weather being a little kind meaning it wasn't raining but very cold.

In the area today and finally got to revisit and find this tricky little bison.
Coords had me about 8m out which could have explained DNF last time.
Cheers

On the the Twelveth Night found this to be about 8m off GZ coords. Warning: Its not the big tree on the edge (as footing is a bit dangerous in the night light!) TNLN TFTC.
Was just about to give up as my gps was all over the place. But as I turned to my husband to declare defeat I realized I was touching the cache. TFTC

Epic fail here! This is the last cache I need and no luck. Like others the GPS goes in circles. Will hit the CO up for more info at an event soon!
Couldn't resist giving this one another go after a DNF last time. Same this time the GPSr wouldn't settle so I had a look around. I don't know how I missed it but thankfully found it this time.
Thanks for the cache Shamus1

This was the second time back here searching for this cache . We spent quite some time today looking everywhere as the GPS wouldn't settle. Just as we were about to give in again , the little so and so appeared . We were so pleased to leave our mark . Thanks Shamus1

Walked this trail with The_Tritonz on a nice sunny Sunday to pick up the remaining few caches to get a nice long row of smiles. Thanks for the cache Shamus it is in good condition.
My intention today was to visit Ballarat again and grab as many mystery caches as possible to complete my month of mystery caches.
Grabbed a coffee as I always do near the Fire Station and thought I would have a look for a few of these caches while in the area.
This is the 12th of this series so much for my aim today. I must say that in most cases I could park the White Beast fairly close . Two caches I parked in the middle and walked either way.
This one took me a lot longer than it should of but made it in the end.
Thanks Shamus for placing this cache one of many that I will find today.
Sorry about the generic log but with finding close to forty today I have to save time.

The weather was too nice to spend inside at this time of year.
Shamus's symbol series needed cleaning up, so we did just that.

Suscoe was in Ballarat today doing a spot of caching and now late in the day Mr. and Mrs. S. were on the trail of the Symbol Series.
We started at the northern end and worked our way south bound.
Find number 12.
A bit of creative parking and navigating got us to all the traditional locations before we had arrived at the time to depart for Geelong and tea.
Well done to Shamus1 for placing these caches along this walking/riding trail.
All was pretty quiet this afternoon.
Sorry about the generic log but we found all caches to be in good condition and the sun shone with late afternoon strength, the birds were singing and a few folks were out walking and riding along the track.
