At GZ there were only a certain number of objects that fitted the hint. There was evidence of a 'geo spot' where it could be seen that cachers were being led to by the coords. After a thorough search of the object at the coords and other nearby fixtures no container was found. Either it is a devious hide of I was searching in the wrong place. Will attempt again. TFTH

DNF for me....

11-Jul-16
Came here with Coybear2000. We had a short search but unfortunately didn't find the hide. We were aware of a person sitting in a car nearby, so we didn't hang around. We'll have to return hopefully on a quieter day.

11-Jul-16
Out this was with Trodectus for some car stuff. Arrived GZ but GPS would really settle, searched for a short while but due to high muggle activity didn't stay too long. This is one to try again later, preferably after hours when a bit quieter.

10-Jul-16
After a reasonable search I called it quits - just too much traffic.

12-Jun-16
Out and about caching with the kids today. Impossible to find last time, but so easy this time. Not much passing traffic this time though.

Out and about today to find a few challenge caches near by. Cool
After finding those I turned and headed for home ... via a few caches of course. Razz
A quick once here today. [^]

#454 – Geocaching Live for Windows Phone

This was the only find for today. Just like yesterday, marking was again taking up my weekend so another cache close to home is needed for the daily find. I was keen to find this cache particularly after it was maintained as it fills a missing date on my dates hidden calendar. I had previously attempted this cache but with no luck. The only benefit was that I had narrowed down the search area. Today, I managed to park right near GZ and searched high and low but the GPS on my phone couldn’t get closer than 9m. After some extensive searching using a tool, I managed to have CIH. I think it is more a D2/T1.5. SL. TFTC.

Found with Jase90 during a day out in Western Sydney in an effort to help me get closer to reaching my milestone goal of 2,000 finds at the last ever Geocaching Block Party in Seattle this August. We started over at Prospect with Madness Gateway and Sydney's Newest- Relocated. Then onto Pemulwuy for William Lawson and Veteran Hall, and then across to Blacktown for Pope's Garden, Train Spotter - Roma and URBAN SV (where we had a long chat with the Cache Owner, nice to meet you!). Back in Prospect we then found Quick park & Grab, for the streakers., For Marissa & Mel's streak, Home Sweet Home, Time to Commuicate. (is it meant to be Communicate?) and Prospect Park First Cache. Heading over to Seven Hills, Jase90 and I continued on to tackle Nice little park & grab and Snowy Reserve Cache. In Girraween we found the Former Railway Corridor Toongabbie, then in Pendle Hill we grabbed Knox's Box and our final stop out west was in Old Toongabbie where we picked up Spot the Geoduck.

On the way back home, we decided we could fit in a few more and we stopped by North Rocks and found 4,3,2,1 and Measure Up. We then finished off the day in Ryde and Eastwood with Up The Garden Path and Beanstalk respectively.

All in all, a fun day out with Jase90 and we picked up some beauties along the way. For all of the caches, I Signed Log and Took Nothing Left Nothing. A successful day out in terms of find rate! Thanks For The Caches to all of the respective Cache Owners.

Found at 10:48am with JordsAU.

JordsAU and myself were out on a day of caching trying to boost our numbers in the area's of Prospect, Blacktown and a couple of other surrounding suburbs. We started as early as possible this morning so we could obtain a decent amount of smileys. We were also heading to the footy in Moore Park later on in the afternoon which meant that we needed to be finished and to head back by 1:30pm.

I have not done any caches out this way in my 3-year Geocaching career but JordsAU had acquired a small handful over the years which meant that we needed to stick to caches unfound to the both of us. It didn't seem to prove too difficult as there were plenty around.

The weather today was stunning, barely cold in the early morning and it even became quite hot in the late morning.

'For Marissa & Mel's streak' was the 8th of 19 caches we ticked off today. We arrived at GZ and began questioning the cache's whereabouts. We searched all obvious areas and came up empty-handed after 7 or 8 minutes. We were just about to head off and deem it a DNF before I decided we would have one last crack using a special tool. I've used this tool a handful of times with caches like this and it seems to have good effect when trying to search in tiny nooks and crannies.

Within a couple of minutes we had CIH but unfortunately it seemed that it had lost some of its magnetic power or it may have just been the position it was in. We signed the log and tried to put it back in place which proved to be a difficult task. Eventually I got it and we carried on.

This one could probably do with a bit of maintenance, in the end it was quite a tough find. Interesting to note that this one was placed on my birthday. Yay me!

Thanks for the cache contactpete

Was right on top of the GZ according to GPS and Google Maps but couldn't find anything that fit the "magnetic" clue. Look around for about 15 minutes ad couldn't find anything. Better luck next time.

Find #12. A bit of night caching & a group effort with Rotuma 86 & I trying to introduce geocaching to 3 family muggles, my brother, my 18yr old son & his best friend. Didn't take us too long to find which was lucky as we had security drive round just as we were putting the cache back. TFTC.

#1845 (4 of 6 today)

Didn't really intend to grab this many caches out Blacktown way today, but for a change I was finding them all so quickly I had time for "Just One More". A few times.
Finally called it quits at six - then back home and a few groceries to pick up for the Geowife on the way.

I really don't know how ris & Snoopy keep streaks going that long. My longest is just over 200 days, and it took a lot of rationing finds. My current streak is a stupendous 28 days... We'll see how it goes.

Anyway, parked a short distance away, looking at this and the other nearby streaker cache as a quick two shot. It was a surprisingly quick find here. Just checked the right spot first.
So took it a short distance away to complete signing duties and then back for a slightly fumbling replace.

Not sure how wheelchair accessible this is, though - the actual grab being problematical from a chair.

#243 Met CO at a couple of events recently told me he had changed the location of the hide & on the weekend he wanted to know if I had got it. Decided to find today so got the new location & went there after work, it was dark when I was waiting for the GPSr to decide where I should look, each time I was about to try the likely spot a group of cars came past. Finally saw my chance and grabbed the cache. Definitely an interesting cache container. Walked away to sign the log. Now to work out how to return the cache to its hide, now there were also workers from the local area who were also leaving, finally found my chance and replaced cache. Thanks for the hide

Sneaky but not too difficult.

19/4/15. 7:33 AM. Cache #2425. Streak day #301. After only finding one cache yesterday, I wanted to make up for it with another ride along the Windsor Road powertrail this morning. But before I headed over there, I wanted to get this monkey off my back.

After 2 unsuccessful visits here, I emailed a cacher that had found this at its second location. The advice was helpful, but it wasn't until today that I could get back for 3rd time lucky. I meant to bring adhesives so the log bag can attach to the camo, but I forgot. Glad it's a smiley now. TFTC } : )

Like others, I came back to find this cache. This time we returned with some advice from Canary. It made finding the cache easy. When I retrieved it the log fell on the ground. I hadn't read Kid Ron Satan's log, so I wasn't aware the log sheet needed to be stuck down. I'm not confident that it will stay where it's supposed to in its hiding position.

I've also got about 32 caches for Marissa and Mel's streak if they feel like a trip to the mountains.

Thanks contactpete.

#2965- This one is definitely more difficult than the rating. It isn't the type of cache I had expected here. We found it second time round with a rather explicit paf. Thanks

Had no problems in finding this cache.TFTC.

I removed the cache only to find it empty. I walked around the other side of the hide and found the clip lock bag on the ground. Perhaps CO could stick this to the cache.
I picke the wrong time for this one as many workers arrived to start their day. I managed to do a quick replacement.

6/4/15. 7:45 AM. Boy, 85 metres is a big move. No one has yet found it at this new location, so I couldn't phone a friend after trying all of the wheelchair-accessible spots (or has that changed too?).

06-Apr-15
After a few haven't managed to locate it after I shifted it, I thought I best do a cache check.

Cache is certainly in the correct spot, the Co-Ords are very good and Noodles22 is not a good PAF as he and the others found it before this change occurred.

Several finders mentioned that the spot was too obvious so I shifted and found a much better spot very close to original spot.

Cache on.

I was sure this one was gone when we were there, but now, having seen the update by Contactpete, I'm not so sure. We had the log by DKMacca that said he spotted it from about 10 metres away, so we wondered what it was we were missing. After a bit of a search we decided to ring him. He said that we were on the wrong side of the road, but where he told us to look had two problems. First, it was about 25 metres from where the GPS put GZ, and second, there was no cache to be seen of a common cache type we are familiar with. So we decided it must be gone. I don't know why our GPS didn't have contactpete's update, but since it didn't we're not sure what went wrong.

Every now and then a geocache hider comes up with a new clever idea. Then everyone else copies it. The trend with copies is that they are not always up to the same standard.
Look around you. Take note of the materials one needs to adapt their camouflage to,and do so if that is the intent of a cache hide. Especially the micro sized ones. Otherwise a small, regular or large cache can be hidden out of sight instead.
Thanks for the cache.
