Hello and thankyou for your welcome!
Here I am in Belfast for a day trip from Edinburgh. I was meant to be going to Manchester for the day to see a show, but four days ago I found out that current issues with the train line through southern Scotland meant that I would have had to spend 11 hours in total on buses and coaches, as opposed to the original 6 hour return trip that I had booked. I couldn't be bothered with that so I had a wee look around and saw that I could get to Belfast for a decent price on the plane, so I decided to have myself a day's caching here instead. I was here almost four years ago with my son on another day trip - that time on the ferry from Stranraer and with the specific purpose of visiting the Titanic Experience as my son was interested in that at the time. After visiting there, we only had an hour or so in the city centre before we had to leave and both of us said how we wished we'd had more time here as it looked to be an intriguing city to explore further. So here I was back again - minus my son though as today was all about having a day to myself with no one to worry about or look after but me! We are going to come over together at some point though and visit the Giant's Causeway, Mussenden Temple etc.
This was the first cache I headed for after coming out of the bus station. My GPS was still trying to find the satellites as I walked along to it so I ended up going past it a bit before realising and doing an about turn. No problem finding it once there though.
