I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.

This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. Such a great spot for a cache - but there's no cache here. No legit finds in the last year - inactive CO, inaccurate coords, and if thats not enough.... a yogurt container... seriously?! Time for a fresh placement.

Loved visiting the Chair, but no luck finding the cache. The aggies look well searched.

Not sure about the previous note but like others we couldn't find the cache. The kids loved the seat though and the playground across the road!

This geocacher reported that the cache might be missing.

Searched around for a bit but could not find. Looked under bushes and under trees but still couldn’t find it. Might go have another look some other time.

What a fantastic chair! Wish I had someone with me to help take a pic or two. Hunted around for the cache but was unable to locate. Will definitely be back with someone else when we visit the area again.

Sorry to be logging this cache so late it wasn't until a friend was alking about Taupo caches we realised we had not logged our finds and this was one of them found on 23rd September the cache was spot on by the gps so it was a quick find the cache was all good we signed the log and had a look around the area, what a lovely place to visit or stay and just passing through. love the cache spot so many people sop here many muggles but we chose a time that was nice and quiet and as it was a quick find we were not looking suspicious. thank you for placing a cache here and bringing many geocachers to the area to enjoy it also.

My GPS was throwing me all over the place cf where I found the cache. Almost thought it was rubbish. But anyway another smiley face. TFTC

Was a bit worried about making a find here but thanks to the log of a previous cacher I was able to make the find - amazing how well the yoghurt container has lasted - log also ok inside the inner container. Neat chair but a bit wet to sit in today TFTC

Hunted but unfortunately no luck

A cool looking chair and because of the rain I wasn't able to spend too long looking for it. I looked in what i thought was the obvious places. Good news is that if it gives me a reason to come back.

both hubby and I hadn't been over here before, with weather not that great what a better way to spend the day, thanks for the placement - everything was on the ground put it all back in the container and back in its home

In Taupo for the day with my daughter for a visit to the Dentist to get braces off and retainer made. Have some spare time so caching we will go this find tookna long time to find co ordinates a little out and hint irrelevant here look in agapanthus

Took a while to find but after a thourer search we found it

This was our last cache of the day... and find number 500 for me! Brought along my niece and my grandbaby and couldn't resist a photo opportunity with her on the chair before we started looking for the cache. We knew we were in the right area when we read a few of the comments in the activity log and then BINGO there it was. Thanks so much for the cache and a fun location.

A little scramble and came out with sap and drippy from recent showers in the agapanthus. Beautiful dahlias behind the chair. The little art and craft market will be on next weekend for Easter.

In Taupo with the extended fam for a family reunion. Staying in acacia bay so decided to grab some caches in the area. Had some fun taking photos in the chair then had a quick look and found the cache. Thanks for bringing us here thanks for the cache

A family bday celebration at Taupo over the weekend saw Sarahbee20 and I with an opportunity to scout around Acacia Bay for some caches. Loved this location with the beautiful chair - I've been to the Mosaic cafe before and just love looking at their artworks. Tftc and the great photo opportunity.

Found it! Very hidden - use the greenery

Quick find on a beautiful summers day tftc

Decided to do this cache after visiting the cafe. After a quick photo session with the youngest we began the hunt for the cache itself. Located fairly quickly, tucked it away a little more. Great view from here - TFTC!!

Went up to the cafe for lunch, stopped at the chair for a photo with the family. Took a couple of goes to find it but I'm thinking it was the heat and our lack of patience more than anything.

Found with Mum as 'Jess & Caro'. She is now Carø and I now have my own geocaching profile so we are sorting my logs for caches we found together. TFTC!

Home in NZ for a couple of weeks of sight-seeing and catching up with family. We have had a week in Napier and are heading in towards Taupo today. Of course there is time for a few stops along the way and at Taupo, and my short list included this one because I wanted to have a look around this part of Taupo if we had time...and we did.
What a great chair! Mum had suggested that if we had time it was worth heading out past this area to the cafe a couple of kilometres further on. Unfortunately we were here too late in the day and it would have been closed, but we had a bit of fun with the chair before finding the cache and heading off.

Walking up to GZ, noticed muggle gardener not far away, I think he was too busy to notice me. Cache wasn't hidden very well and when I opened it, I noticed there was no log. Luck was in hand, I had a spear log sheet in the car and placed it in the mint tin, then placed cache back in more undergrowth for cover. Cheers.

I'm too old to have had Dr Suess stories in my childhood, but that's a great chair. Groped around the shrubs with Pararaha before finally finding the cache a few metres from the where GPS was persistently indicating.

Found this one while on a holiday from our home in Whangamata. Easy find GPS was not to far out TFTC

Awesome little chair. Took a picture with my son on it. Had a few goes at finding the cache and just as my 17 month old daughter started crying, I found it and pointed my 5 year old. He was really excited about finding it! The cache has some very cool goodies inside, but we had nothing to hand so we didn't take anything. Brilliant confetti gun in there!

Needs maintenance
We have just found the log book on ground without any container. We put it back in a small white plastic bag.

This geocacher reported that there is a problem with this cache.

No sign if log or rock.

We were staying just around the corner from this cache. We noted the last few dnfs but we wanted a photo in front of the chair.

We searched hi and low and we did find a waterproof rolled up log with 2 logs on it.

We signed this and placed under a rock at GZ and will message the CO photos of where we habe put it as we couldn't find a cache container.

Die Dose war offensichtlich weg und wir hatten Ersatz im Auto dabei. Wir platzierten den Buffalo hinter dem Stuhl im Geäst des Strauchs und hoffen, dass jetzt auch andere wieder Freude an dieser Dose haben. Ein sehr nettes Plätzchen gleich bei unserer Lodge, danke!

It seems the gardens have been beautifully done and no cache anywhere

No luck, recent gardening activity.

Had an hour to kill before my meeting at the yacht club so headed out to Acacia Bay for a look as it's been a long time since I have been there.
As I was dressed in my good work clothes it was kinda tricky getting here without getting wet and dirty and I decided that it was best to not turn up to the meeting muddy, so abandoned the search.

Will return one day.

17.50: What a beautiful piece of artwork (sharp tiles indeed!) but unfortunately no cache around. We looked about 15 minutes very thouroughly but nothing wanted to showed up. It seems as if the mower discovered the little container and took it away...

Anyway: thank you for showing this place!

This one took a few minutes to spot as the coordinates are a little out. The help of some previous logs and the description helped immensely with the finding of this one. I popped out of the bushes as two guys walked passed obviously wondering what i was up to in there. Thanks for showing us the seat and TFTC!

What an awesome bit of public artwork, again something that we would have never known about if it wasn't for caching! With a few DNFs on this one we thought the cache might not be there, but after a bit of a look we managed to find the goods

#2532 Out finding some caches in the dark with PhantasmNZ, Furbies, loz47 and lillianz. Almost immediate find here which surprised me due to the recent DNFs. Great chair- got some cool photos of it in my headlamp glow. TFTC!

Final Day of the Turangi Mega Event
Packed up camp & headed for an overnight in Taupo. Great views of the lakes & mountains all the way.
Spotted this amazing chair so really wanted to find so we coul give it a favourite point. Lokked for quiet some time without any luck, the hint was no help. Read the description & it was here where we found what we neede to find the cache.

Night caching around Taupo with the crew plus Skaga

Continuing our mini cache-raid on acacia bay - What a cool sculpture - yes those tiles are a bit sharp - but this is really a great example of public art that would be missed without being into caching.

Found with Loz47, Lillianz and Furbies as part of the NZ Geocaching Adventure MEGA Weekend in Turangi 2016.

With 6 pairs of eyes hunting for this one not sure why we couldn't find the cache. Checked all around where the GPS was pointing to and up behind and beyond the seat.
Loved the seat though, great piece of art.

Cool mosaic chair. Cache was found (unconcealed) under a bush far away from chair so have rehidden based on co-ords. May pay to check.
