Enjoyed a couple of days away with my wife. (It was really an excuse to do a bit of Geocaching).
Unfortunately this one was too good for us. DNF

I, mr Chippyroo, am staying in Aberdeen for work and thought I go for a little drive around town grabbing some caches.
After looking in the wrong spot for a little while the cache was soon in hand

We are heading from Brisbane to Bright in Victoria, caching as we go, wherever it is safe to pull up with the caravan. We left Brisbane on 3rd Jan and don't have to be in Bright til the end of the month. Today's drive takes us from our camp at Burning Mountain to Musswellbrook.
We parked the van and went for a drive around town without it. Quick find, Still no trains. Thanks Rock-Dok

I got out my torch for this one, but it was still just light enough to see by. We had the wrong idea at first, then finally bikerbuddy found it.
Thanks

Unlike the last Coalies cache we found, the hint here had me considering something else before I decided to follow where the GPS wanted me, instead. I then made an easy find, which was lucky. By this time we had our torches on as the daylight was almost entirely gone. Thanks
This one was missing last time we were here. Took a minute or two as Mr C was misled by the hint while Mrs C followed her GPS and made the find. Thanks Rock_Dok
A newbie to Geocaching. I Remember hearing of it some years ago and the idea excited me. But i never looked into it. Now after seeing the enjoyment my minions 6 & 5 get from Pokemon hunting and wanting to start on the painted rocks left in park for other kids to find craze i decided to look up this geocache thing. To my absolute surprise its still a thing and there are plenty to find locally so lets get started! This was a great starting find. Well out of the way from prying eyes yet easy to access. I look forward to many more caching days ahead. (As if i didn't have enough things to do )
On the way to sydney from tamworth. The weather isnt good today. Anyway grocaching will do good for me . Thanks.

(A trip from Sydney to Manilla and return for the funeral of my brother-in-law. An impressive turn-out with 80+ Rural Fire Service officers and some SES and police forming an honour guard. No excessive shows of grief just good stories and 'taking the mickey' out of the deceased as he would have liked.
The 120 finds and 3 DNFs on this day are dedicated to him and his contributions to family and community. Vale Merv.) Preceding the finds was a good night at a Singleton hotel watching the cockroaches smash the toads 28-4 in SofO I.
I initially followed the clue but then followed the signal to the cache some distance away at 6.15am..

An easy, quick and muggle free search here quickly turned up the cache container. Just what we needed late in the day when we should have been finding a camp spot for the night rather than still be caching. Sometimes it's so hard to stop though. Especially when we've been in caching wilderness for a few days and we've just arrived at a place full of them!!!
Thanks.
Thanks.
Yew! Looked around for a while before realising we were looking for the wrong thing!

Staying for a few days in Upper Hunter valley, and after some wine tasting it was time for some geocaching in the area. Aberdeen was close to our b&b, so that was the logic choice for the day.
And that makes 5 Coalies! Thanks for the cache.

Find #954
Day one of our boys geocaching and camping weekend today, we drove out to Scone finding 21 caches and two DNFs. The heat (and the flies) got to the kids after a while, and we called stumps for the day. Tomorrow we drive up into the mountains!
Ending the caching day with some of the 'Coalies' series now - Thanks Rock_Dok

After spending several months house sitting around the Central Coast, Sydney and Bateman's Bay it is time to head back to Queensland.
But I have time to find a few caches around Aberdeen.
A short search before spotting this one.
Thanks for the cache.

I wondered where we were being taken for this one in the middle of nowhere. Not knowing what to expect from Rock_Dok by now, I was surprised to find a fairly normal cache at last. Thanks for great hide, no chance of being seen here.
Found it! Was a tough one but a fun one, right as we found it a coal train went past to make the walk abit better, very fun!
Have checked this cache and found it to be missing. It has now been replaced.
Happy caching.
Happy caching.
After searching everywhere within about 30m of gz called it quits no luck for us.
We had some unfinished caching business in Muswellbrook but did a few extra ks to grab a few in Scone and Aberdeen.
Arrived at GZ and we tried to be stelthy but its a bit hard in the middle of nowhere, kinda. And there were workers loading a low loader just up the road and leccos in a cherry picker at the corner. Not sure if it was supposed to be near where the hint suggested or where our GPSrs indicated some 10 or so metres away. Anyway we came away empty handed. Dangit.
