Seeing a number of hides in the area we headed over targeting those of D2 or above. Some tough hides and tricky locations where the GPSr also would not steady. We saw one needed an elevation device so unfortunately had to give it a miss and it was to find a small rather than a micro near the end. TFTC. Log is wet
Found it at 1:50pm after looking for a while. Log is soaking and unusable. Needs replacing ASAP.

Arrived into Melbourne today staying in the Werribee area.
This afternoon we did a short drive in the area picking up just a few caches.
This was one we had tried before but had a DNF, I consider it a lucky find today, so many places to look.
Thanks for placing this cache Ketchthor

Found it! Not sure it was where it was intended as the camo wasn't doing much. Left it where it was regardless
Had a search around the area. Couldn't find anything. But the plants in the area were quite uncomfortable.
After the morning's work program it was time for the afternoon's caching. It only took a few minutes to locate where this cache was hiding, but sadly we found on opening the container that the log was soaking wet and we were not able to sign it. This log definitely needs some attention. The junior muggles nearby were not really a problem and we were soon headed on to the next cache on our list for the afternoon. Thanks to Ketchthor for such a variety pf caches to be found and enjoyed.
No luck for me here. Headed to GZ after a nearby fail. Poking around in a garden bed in the dark wasn't all that fulfilling so when I couldn't locate it quickly I decided to move on. Thanks anyway.
The lightning bike tour of Point Cook continues. I spent a ridiculous amount of time standing in a garden bed to no avail. Did a bit of CITO to defray the occasional muggle. Worse, now I'm home I suspect I actually had the cache at hand, but didn't check it properly. Boo to me!
Thanks anyway, Ketchthor!
Thanks anyway, Ketchthor!
A nice quick find on my 4th attempt at this one with the help of RGSBruce. Good to finally have a smiley on this one
I was the Goose today as it was a DNF. Didn't feel comfortable scratching around with nearby muggle kids and parents.
There's always one in a crowd - a muggle who wants to know what you're looking for. He left after being told we were looking for treasure.
A long'ish search and we came up with the goods - great spot.
Thanks for the cache Ketchthor.

Thanks for the cache Ketchthor.
We have had a pretty good run as we cache our way around the area today with mcsee&petal. This one however was anything but quick and easy. The four of us spent an obscene amount of time trying to track down this elusive little pest before mcsee came up with the goods. Fortunately muggles were few and far between or we would have had to call off the search earlier. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
Found it after second attempt with ntboozer. This time decided to look for it in the daylight. Had to negotiate the black swans after two of them went at us. Was fun trying to get to GZ without them going back into attack mode. TFTC.
Joined the geocaching family today. Got so excited after reading all the info and watching movies that I had to get out there now!!!! Ok so kids weren't sold on the idea, 7.40pm they were chilling, but dragged them out (17 & 9) dressed for snow. Built kids up how cool this is on the walk in. Searched for a good 40min, I told kids we'd be out for 30min max... Kids had fun playing at park by torch light on the way out. I'll be back...
I have replaced the log. The cache needs some additional camo which I will try and sort out soon.
Could find it today and far too many people around to go scrambling. Will come again another day to have a proper look

With an extra hours sleep last night, it was planned that Buzzsmc and I would tackle this series and a few others around the area. We woke early, had our GPSr loaded, grabbed our geo tool kit and we were off up the highway. The roads were quite and it was still dark when we arrived. We found 15 from 16 attempts today.
We parked close by at the empty shops, with a coffee in hand we went searching for this one. Last time was a DNF for me but this time, buzzsmc had this one quickly. GPSr was off a little and tape was falling off the cache container. Probably not the best spot to hide a cache here, the garden bed has been destroyed in some parts. Stamped and returned as found.
**Thanks for this cache and series, Ketchor**. [^]
**Log and container tape is coming off.**

Took advantage of the extra hour thanks to daylight savings ending. So headed out with na'wal to grab some caches.
Na'wal had DNF on this one so I had my had no expectations of a quick find. But I found it quite easy and quickly. Container needs maintenance. Camo has come loose.
Log signed and replaced.
TFTC TNLN.

Found with dazzpete.
We were down in sunny Melbourne for a 25 year old wedding, and all the air kissing, air hugging and glaring at each others shoes and bags that go along with 25 year olds weddings, but now that that circus was over and done with, we have teamed up with our good friends dazzpete for some caching fun.
This was our first cab off the rank on a nice afternoon walk around the suburbs where it appears that if you buy a house here, they throw in a Jeep 4wd to go with it...they are like bums here, everyone has one.
We all rocked up to this one and with many eyes on the job, made a quick find and signed our names and then wandered off to the next one.
Thanks Ketchthor for the cache.

What do you do when the team that introduced you to geocaching years ago stops by to visit? You finally get off your proverbial and gather some of your nearest to homes caches.
geoD had grabbed one of this series a couple of days ago but had missed this one due to his rather loud clothing at the time. There were no such troubles this time with this find going to Skullracing.

This was one of many finds, while Caching our way around the labyrinth of the Point Cook housing estates, with their wonderful open parks playgrounds and sculptures. It was a great opportunity to catch up with Ian & Penny before they head off travelling again.
Satellites today had out GZ 4m ESE of where we found the cache.
Our thanks to Ketchthor for bringing us to this location.

Hi there Ketchthor. We found your cache "Alamanda #2 Duck Duck Goose" today. This cache makes our find count 12520.
[Blue]
We spent a really enjoyable day today, caching with Phetlern. We started off in Werribee South then roamed across to Point Cook, Seabrook, Williams Landing and Hoppers Crossing. We found a good cross section of 'caches ranging from Nano right up to Large, and arrived back at camp tired and ready for a few drinks, a baked salmon dinner and a huge pavlova (Thanks Penny & Helen).
[/Blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: The container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Nothing.
Thanks for the hunt,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Great series of caches in an area that I have not ventured out to.
Nice Summer day to get out and pick some caches up in the area.
Tried for a while to find this one, and was not sucessful at all.

A beautiful sunny afternoon - if a bit windy. Mr A (youngest geokid) & I decided to grab a few caches.
Thought we'd give this series a go.
After much crawling about, finding a massive huntsman spider but no cache, we moved on.
Thanks anyway, we'll be back.

Once again I couldn't find this tricky guy. I did again see a likely hidey hole but could only see a slug and spider - yikes!
Thanks anyway.

Naomi found this one nice and quick. Magpies were out swooping passing cyclists so we had to move on quick to keep geobub safe. TFTC
GPS jumping around crazily. No luck here. In fact only 1 of 4 finds in Alamanda today and a smashed phone
Hopefully better luck next time.

After a DNF on this one we returned. Found with less problem at night. Log is full (we scribbled on the back). Thanks!
Micro caches hidden in vegetation like this can be problematic, especially without a good hint. Having already had a couple of DNFs I read the previous logs before I arrived and managed to find the cache fairly quickly.
Found by Mary & David at 1715. Came here before our first find, but there were just too many muggles, including a couple sitting on the grass with a picnic quite close to GZ. Came back after finishing off a few others in the series, and it was almost deserted. Even so, we searched around for a few minutes before consulting previous logs. That put us on the right track and we found the cache shortly afterwards. A most enjoyable afternoon. Our thanks to Ketchthor.
This took me a lot longer than I would have liked. Thanks to a hint from a friend I was able to put a smiley face on the map here. My GPS was still off with this by about 3m so on the 6th attempt and at night the clue helped me out.

@22:34. I was out caching with Burge this evening and we couldn't find this one. There were plenty of potential hiding spots but it just wasn't to be tonight. We'll come back another time and try again.
Went out to get Pizza with Geodad, Bazinga01 and stopped in to get this on the way there. Luckily our torch picked up something while looking straight down. We'd been here a couple of times before but I was so happy to finally get this one.
This was a pleasant spot and after some systematic searching the container was spotted.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Last time I was here I had no luck finding this one even with a couple of other cachers but this time around I was given some help and did find the cache 3m out from where our three GPSrs wanted us to be a couple of weeks ago. Those spikey leaves managed to draw blood as I was extracting the cache too but at least the log has my name on it. Thanks Ketchthor.
Caching today with Dutch Frangipani who has had several months absence due to pregnancy. A really fun day once again with lots of laughs, good conversation and some challenging caches to be found.
The last one for us today. Didn't know if we would find it as there were lots of muggles in the nearby playground. Thankfully DF managed to make it a quick find. Thanks Ketchthor, really enjoyed doing this series.

Out and about today with Sorcysal after a break from caching to have a baby, we were mentioning how much this place has changed over the years.
Last find for the day as it was starting to get late, the beautiful nearby sound of children laughing made me want to stay here all afternoon - this one took a couple of minutes but was soon logged and returned to it's little hidey hole.

Seems like a few people have a problem finding this cache. Don't get upset but this one took a matter of seconds to find when I got to GZ. Good camo.
No joy here apart from meeting a couple of cachers. With 3 sets of eyes we found nothing and then moved onto the rest in the series.
Had a good look but came away empty handed, after finding a few more in this series maybe we should look for something a little different.
Thanks
Thanks
A real sneaky one, I would have walked past it a few times none the wiser before we eventually found it. Look ot for all the muggles!!
Too tricky for this duck and goose here today. We did spot a swan and their cygnets over at number 1 though which more than made up for a DNF at this location.

This one had been a nemesis cache for me for a while, and was starting to frustrate me! I was about to pop a note to the CO for an additional hint, when I thought I would give it one more go and brought phoenixaus along for the ride. We searched for a while and didn't come up with anything. We were about to give up and phoenixaus was reading through the previous logs and said something....and I was like 'I wonder...'. He thought it was a good idea so we changed track and soon had a sneaky cache in hand. What a tricky little hide in a very not obvious place - but once you find it you have that 'doh' moment. Great to finally (after about 10 visits!) turn a DNF into a smiley!! TFTC
Took us a while but find it! Would of helped if I had my glasses on. TFTC and the series.
This cache seems to be either a hit or miss. It's still in the exact location as it was hidden so keep searching!
Another quick find in this series, very nicely hidden and cammoed once again. And again good coords and a helpful hint helped.
Thanks again Ketchthor
Thanks again Ketchthor
This one took us a while as there is a fair bit of growth to be investigated. Being the intrepid cachers that we are, we worked around a dead seagull, the family who came for their toddler's pit stop and the pedestrians on the boardwalk. Our persistence paid off, we were relieved when the vulture made the find. After this effort, we interrupted our walk to have a coffee in the nearby cafe. TFTC
struggling so much with this one! even brought the wife along and still no luck. will have to keep trying!
We did not find this cache after a not long enough search as there seemed to be quite a few muggles in the area this am.

To curb a little caching slump, a quick couple of finds were needed. These are not far from home and were pretty quick and easy. This one is not rocketing to the top of anyones favourites list, it's a nice enough area though. Thanks for the cache, Ketchthor.

Rebel Acts and I decided to take a short trip to the area to pick up a number of caches. The night was cool, but pleasant, and all but one cache was found; that one was missing as confirmed by the CO at the cache location. Thanks
Found on another caching adventure with Trailrunning, we headed out West on a nice cool but dry night, seemed like a night of Nanos? Thankfully we found a couple of real caches in the mix. Thanks Ketchthor for the cache.
Very busy here now but I was far enough away to not cause suspicion. Once again I searched for a while and was about to give up when I noticed it. Thankfully I signed the log and walked back to me parking spot leaving all those happy people and ducks behind.

On the way back to the big city from an event at Lara with Sharkiefan, decided to see what we could see in Point Cook. After finding #1 we wandered over here in the dark. We had torches, but after 10 minutes we didn't find the prize, so headed back to the car. Thanks anyway, Ketchthor.
Yeahhh! Got to go back and find this one! So glad we found it. Slightly off coord but it was there. Thank goodness the dead bird wasn't!
Third time lucky today! Don't know how MrsBlackDuck and I missed this one previously (both times!)! Glad the dead bird is gone. I swear these plants have grown a lot in the last month! Glad we found it! Thank you for the cache and the hunts!
The pile of DNF's is growing more than the finds. I didn't know if I should be on the garden bed or not. The GPSr said I should but I stayed away. The only thing we saw was a dead bird which didn't make the little Na'wals very happy so we moved on quickly.
Well after having some good success with the close by Lincoln Heath caches we came here not sure of what we would find.
After reading the logs there seems to be a bit of hit and miss going on.
So we knew we would be in for a tough search.
We let the GPS settle and then set about carefully and thoroughly searching all possibilities, and after about 5 minutes the very cleverly hidden cache was located safe and sound.
After visiting all the other nearby Ketchthor caches we suspected the co-ords would be good and they were.
The log was signed and then two satisfied cachers headed back to the car for a well deserved cuppa, and to get out of this drizzle which was now becoming quite steady.
Thanks to Ketchthor for placing this cache, well done.

Since I was close by and there was a recent find for this one I thought I'd come and have a looksee for myself. Cache is indeed there, nicely hidden, and was found easily right where I thought it might be. It was a simple process of elimination, with the task being made significantly easier with the removal of the dead bird from GZ
A quick easy find. Cache was about 1m from coordinates. Great hide. You should never speak too soon in this game! TFTC.
