A patch of ground on route to this cache was not as firm as it looked resulting a little stumble, All part of the fun! TFTC!
TFTC. I decided to take the puppy for a wander up Worsley's Rd. The rain had stopped and the sun was shining. It was beautiful to be up here. Fairly muddy underfoot with reasonable surface water visible.
Thanks TwoSharpe for placing the cache.

#12199. I followed the hint, but not far enough; Troodles headed a bit further and found the cache. TFTC.
We thought we should take advantage of the good weather (and what a fabulous day it was too) and walk up the Worsley Track today before it closes for logging. It's been a while since we were last in the area and it looks like urban sprawl is creeping up here as well.
This has been a popular cache the past few days, which was good as there was a clear geo trail to follow. I stopped too soon (hadn't read the description, had I?) and examined an item then carried on a little further where the cache was quickly found. TFTC.

With the news about the park. My sister and I thought it was time to do these so off we went.
Was a quick find which was good as lots of people around today

With news of the impending changes around this area, my sister and I (with daughter in tow) decided to knock off what caches we could.
A quick find, sign and return. Thanks for the cache.

Having heard that part of the forest was closing for construction of the new bike park NotManlyJack and I decided it was time to get up here and find the caches either side of Worsleys Road; (or is it Goose Track)?
This was the first of 12 finds for the day. We took so long walking up and back, and finding the caches, that we didn't have much time to devote to WPT2 of the Mens' Multi. Will have to try again!
Apologies for the cut and paste logs, I'll try to add a little something specific to each...
This one was a great way to start - with a quick find!

A joint effort from the four of us who decided to brave the weather. The weather wasn't as bad a expected.
With news of the potential temporary closure of the forest surrounding this track, I decided to head up the track today to clear out the caches here just in case they are affected by the nearby development. Was joined by Lyttelton Witch and Bigglespoonies. Thanks for the cache, and the series of caches places here.
Hitting the Woslesy track and some of the caches on it. After a bit of annual leave this is my last evening before I start back tomorrow. So a bit of reflection and fun before that. 1st cache and nice and quick to a good way to warm up ..signed the log. Thanks for bringing me here to this place, TFTC TwoSharpe , from Mr Cuddly Brick (or MCB if is a small log), 11 March 2016, cache number #1256!

A stunning day today. And I had a volunteering shift tonight, so seeing as that meant it was necessary to find caches on the lunch break, decided to go for a walk somewhere up the hills, making the most of the lovely weather, and find a few.
Picked Worsleys Track, as there were quite a few new ones here since last time I'd been up, and lunch break could be long enough to drive this far.
Grabbed mum, and off we went.
This find took a little longer as coords had us a little elsewhere, but read the description, and then got it.

TFTC!!
Since it was a lovely warm sunny day, we decided to go for a lunchtime walk with daughter. Ideal weather to be out and about! The road looks a bit weathered even for a 4WD! We went as far as feasible before daughter was due back for a meeting. Great place, TFTC!!
Oh no, is this going to be a sign of things to come? Had to take Mr1 off my back to reach this one. Tftc.
Last cache before getting back to the car. Coords a bit off but the cache page made it clear where it was. Tftc
Reperio at 0705.
I headed out this way to grab a newly published cache this morning, and so stopped by a couple on the way back down. Once at GZ, I headed to the likely spot and soon had the cache in hand. Unlike the Pukeko, I hadn't heard of this bird before.
Gratias TwoSharpe.

Collected the info for the multi just before this one so happy to still be heading in the right direction. A few trail bikes out this way, my dogs don't like them........bark bark bark. Thanks for the cache.
Hint item has gone but cache container is still good. Placed under pine needles at base of tree.
After the storm last night the morning dawned clear and this enticed me to go visit all the avian species now resident near Worsley's Track. I have never seen a kokako, not surprisingly seeing that the South Island sub-species is extinct.
Discovered that the hint is now inappropriate as the cache was found to be lying naked on top of the pine needles. The caching a'tyre' has been removed from GZ. Nice that whoever took the a'tyre' left the cache behind. Thanks for the cache.

A bit busy on the way up the track, all good on the way down though. A nice quick find.
A lovely day for a walk on the Port Hills. Plenty of caches up Worsley's Spur.
Thanks for the hide.

Quick find once I had extended the search area. Was equipped for a mission up the track but there are warning signs to discourage people indicating that the forest is closed for felling operations. Some workman preparing for this event confirmed that this was the case - but isn't it a public "road" ? Didn't venture any further - but may try from the top next time and see what happens then.
Coordinates were a bit out for this one, thanks to the hint it was an easy find. TFTC
I am not sure how I missed this one when I was up here the other day, but I got it this time. Time to retyre for the night now. There is the occasional report of Kokako down in the Waitutu forest, but I have never seen or heard one there.
Cheers and thanks,

The outlook for Friday was otherwise fine. The cache was just dandy.
I love the theme. When I spied this trail I rubbed my hands with glee. I love walks on tracks. I thought it would all be on the muddy Worsley track that I knew.

Stopped off for a chat with a cyclist, who had never heard of caching. Surprised me that. Another wet walk and a quick find. Very enjoyable.
Nearby FTFing Kotuku at in the wee small hours. Stopped past this one on the way out.Quick find and sign at 12:40am!LOL. Now home to bed. Cheers.

Been up this road a few times over the last week or so grabbing caches for our daily dose of caching. The rest are a bit further on for a quick dash and grab to keep up the streak. Chelzea spotted the hide as I was heading towards the other tree so a quick find and sign.
TFTC Thanks for the walk under the pines. Tested my GPS under the pines, its works better than the old one I had.
I was sitting at home talking to fiancée in England on Skype when notification came through. Then I get notified a cache I put out has been published.
Sitting trying to decide if I want to dash out and find this. I had attempted the others nearby but ended up taking wrong track.
Looked up location for this one and saw where GZ was. Nice and accessible (one positive point).
Half hour after caches came through MrDan had found the one I put out.
Hmmm... If I want to try FTF (which will be my first ever) I had better make up my mind.
Do I say goodnight to my princess in England and make a mad dash?
YES! I desperately want a FTF.
Off I go.. Oh no! No pen. Run into dairy to buy pen. Race to GZ.
Upon arriving I see no other cars.
The hint sticks out like a sore thumb, I can see from car where I have to go.
Less than a minute I have cache in hand.
Nervously opened container. Is it possible?
Shaking hands. There is the log.
NO Previous entry.
YES! YES! YES!
I have a FTF.
Thanks so much for this cache.
