Grabbed this Auckland-esque container on the way back from the falls. All good here thanks.A (long, for us) weekend break out at the BoP and a well timed visit it was, with some unseasonably warm spell of weather laying here and there, and we were the Benny Fisheries. We made a steady trip in from Rangitikei on Friday morning and settled for a walk around the base of the Mount as our only plan for the day. Saturday was a day out to Katikati via Omokoroa, and I had some designs on some of the Sidetracked caches in the area with a view to improve my 'porter' status. Sunday was a double waterfall day at Omanawa and Kaiate and that was really nice too. We managed a few Ad Labs to complete and really enjoyed our visit. Thanks to all the COs for their hides and maintenance.
On our way out to Omanawa Falls, thought to stop in and grab this one. Was a quick park & grab here. Good camo to hide it from the muggles, but an easy spot for someone looking for it. SL. Returned as found. No issues here - all dry & in good condition. TFTC!
Found after the excursion to the amazing Omanawa Falls with CatMaster and Kauriforest. TFTC
Being a rural person myself I’m doing quite well to not have someone ask me what I’m doing! Dry and in good condition.
Off for a drive on a rainy day. Pleased to grab this one. Nice lil container! TFTC
Was in the area and saw someone had replaced this one. Another smiley on the map, thanks!
Our second success of the day, it was a lovely day to go exploring up some places we have not ventured to before. tFTc.

Hope you are OK with us replacing the cache, there had been a few DNF on it and we were passing so had a good hunt around and spotted nothing, we have replaced it with a magnetic Twin soft drink lid type of cache, still up high as per hint!

Bugger or more like bugs arghh. Nope had a good look but couldn't find it between the wasps nests and spider webs!
PLEASE NOTE: Geocaching is not permitted during Covid levels 3 and 4.

#987 - Came for a drive out here, a nice easy park n grab. A lovely quite spot.
Over to Tauranga for the day and finally picking up the 15 Years of Geocaching Challenge nearby so thought that I would drop in here for this one also. TFTC
#8962. I am making my way back south but doing a diversion to pick up some caches of interest in Tauranga and Rotorua. I wanted to find and sign the challenge cache up this road. After finding that I continued up to check and see if there was any progress at the start of Omanawa Falls track. But on the way I stopped here for an instant find in the shelter. Signed the log and replaced the cache where found. Thanks nzkites for the cache.
When I got up to the falls entrance there was a small tent and group of people in fluoro vests sitting there. I was going to ask them what was happening here but it suddenly started to pour with rain and there is almost no parking in this spot with yellow lines all along the road. So turned around and headed off to the city.

Down from Whangarei to do a few days caching in Tauranga and trying to pick up as many of the solved puzzles as possible from my list. The weather today had improved a lot, but Mrs was still keen on visiting the Tauranga Crossing shopping mall, whilst I went for a drive to pick up some outlying caches on the list.
Headed up Omanawa Rd for a challenge cache that was on the list, but drove past that to get a couple of close trads first. A nice quick find in the bus shelter here. TFTC

Out with the geo dog and muggle mother today for some geocaching adventures and stopped for this one along the way. Thanks for the hint!
A quick find whilst out exploring new areas on our 2019 North Island Trip. TFTC :-
Out for a bit of a look around whilst staying in the area on holiday from the South Island. A quick find by my husband Stretch0 Thanks for the cache
On a wee drive to enjoy the park and returned the long way. Going past so tigga thought we should check this out. Quick find (a relief on the side) sign'd with joint name of TU2M.P

Heading out to waitaia lodge and stopped in to grab this one quick find for the kids
Cache number 3363. I was up collecting a nearby challenge cache so I thought I may as well go a little further to get this one as I was in the area. The light was starting to fade when I arrived at GZ and needed my torch to do the search. I always have trouble getting the logs out of these containers but this one just fell out. Signed and returned. Thank you for the placement.
Left the Manawatu area to head towards Waihi for a lovely long weekend. Got a few caches along the way and came across this one off the main road so why not get it, it was a quick find here today signed the log and placed it back exactly where we found it. cache all good here. now onto the next cache and then Waihi here we come. Thank you for placing a cache way out here for us to get. TFTC
Thanks tryfyn, we checked on this cache today while we were in the area, replaced some of the camo and put the cache back where it was originally.
Cache was on the ground with half the camouflage removed. Replaced where I think it came from. TFTC.
Zara, Etherlord and I are at last on our way home from the Turangi Mega. The trip back to Palmerston North will take three days!
A nice easy find, but we did have to resort to the hint.
Signed as ZECATS - Zara, Etherlord Clan and the Seagnoid.

It took the Seagnoid and I three days to drive the ~250KM from Palmerston North to Turangi for the Mega.
I wonder how long it'll take us to drive back home given that our post-Mega road trip will be via Tauranga to collect the North Island's only remaining Webcam Cache!
This one had us searching for a while, eventually resorting to reading the hint.
Thanks for the hide, signed as ZECATS - Zara, Etherlord Clan and the Seagnoid

Found this a couple of months ago while out on a location scout with TNXPRO, but forgot to log.
We followed the school bus up the road and of course it stopped here. Carried on up and got the Falls cache. Returned and all clear. Very busy road though. Thanks for the cache
As we neared the GZ the school bus stopped and there were cars waiting for pick ups had to wait for the area to clear...all good now ....amazing how many people use this piece of road ...seemed like every time we went to search along came a car. Even though it was a quick find in the end it took ages to get there ...thanks NZ kites for another great cache
We came out this way this morning to sign off on a nearby challenge cache, so stopped at Peers Rd to visit the bus stop. Made a quick find and were on our way again. Thanks.
We checked on this placement today and the bus shelter appears to have met with a slight accident. The cache had gone, so we have replaced it with a camoed mint tin and updated the description accordingly (hint unchanged).
DNF for us here today not sure what went wrong but couldn't find a camouflaged barocca tube we were looking up inside the bus shelter outside in the trees for a good 10 minutes and it didn't reveal itself so we carried onto the caches I really came to get down the road.
Heading over to Tauranga to catch up with friends for the day but of course there has to be a few stops along the way for the odd cache or two. Following a family Christmas its always good to catch up with friends rather than the obligatory relations as they accept you for your foibles where as family just frown.
Not a bad day, managed 12 for the trip and a kayak ride at McLaren Falls to boot.
Managed this as a nice quick find without any problems while Mrs Dragon supervised from the car
Thanks for the placement, Thanks for the cache

Arrrrgggghhhh forgot a pen again. Quick find after taking a walk down to see Omanawa falls. Thanks. Teq.
Was lucky to be sent to Tga for the day and for work, so decided to make the most of it and add an hour or two to the morning and get a few caches, going the long way via Rotorua and Te Puke.
Heading home now via one last small detour. A quick park and grab here and last one for the day. Thanks for the hide.

After finalising the nearby challenge cache, we headed on up to Omanawa Falls and this one was on the way past. A nice quick find here, TFTC!
Nearing the end of my week off so decided to head up into the badlands of Omanawa and Mclarens Falls
First stop was The bus stop. Nice quick find here. I had a friend a long time ago who lived in the last house on the right side of Omanawa Rd. His dad used to drive up this road like a maniac.

Out and about enjoying the sunshine while finding a few specific caches towards a challenge we are working on, grabbed this one on the way past TFTC.
On the way up to Omanawa Falls and stopped by here. Dashed out as the rain was starting to fall and managed to lay hands on the container.
Nice drive up here today - very cool but the sun is shining and there are beautiful views. Cache all good and didn't take long to spot. Came back down past where the miniature horses used to be - this was a great attraction but is now closed due to the owner passing away. TFTC
6.40pm - A quick find in the dark, road rather busy this time of the night plus it's freezing cold, but one must do what one must do. SLTFTC
On a mission to Omanawa Falls - we all know why Figured I'd have to get this one on the way! Cheers, good for the numbers - feel a little sorry for the kids that have to wait in here - doesn't smell flash but I'm sure this would have been epic when it was first built.
Spending the afternoon in Tauranga and after picking up '15 years of Geocaching' decided we had to come on down the road and get the other two as well. Parked at GZ. Being Sunday no mini muggles around waiting for a school bus and Mr S soon made the find. Quite a bit of traffic on the road so had to pick our time for replacing.
Thanks nzkites. Another smilie in Tauranga.
Thanks nzkites. Another smilie in Tauranga.
Convenient to have a sit upon as a stand upon.Easy find but well concealed, thanks nzkites.
Dot Day... Grabbed the dog for company and headed out into persistent rain... It's raining, it's pouring... I have a handful of caches in mind for todays' adventure, but staying dry will be priority...
The dog and I appreciated the shelter and quickly spotted the cache. We had to clear away a thick web to retrieve this one, so it pays not to be squeamish. The road was fairly busy in patches, but there were long breaks between passing vehicles. We had more than enough time to do the business here. TFTC.

Found with Dad - 4th one today. Grace saw this but couldn't reach it - Dad had to get it down. I signed the log for all of us as PR GR CR.

Picked this up on a trip to fulfil several missions - this was the first stop of the day as we drove passed one of the intended goals...great GPS skills by Mrs Ccrichie, perhaps I should have entrusted PoppyMJR with the GPS!! Quick and easy find logged as CR PR and GR to save space.

Quiet place here today, so no trouble looking around, and soon spotted the well hidden cache. TFTC.
(FTF) will update when home --- Saw the email come threw just as I was half way into giving Kiwibaby his breakfast, as we have just moved to the greerton end of town I knew I could be better positioned in the FTF race but time was still valuable, so kiwibaby's breakfast can turn into a brunch when we get home Loaded baby and some snacks for him into the car and off we went! Thought it could be a close one as takes time to get kiwibabys stuff ready but as I turned up to GZ and saw no cars thought I was in for a shot just hoping the cars that passed me going towards town were not geocachers Found the cache pretty fast with a good clue and a fresh {FTF} space. Thanks for another cache Nzkites and also for taking me to a place I have never been to would like to come back out to these falls one day and do the walk down to them

Third to find. Was tempted to try and beat Mike to these new caches today but decided to take a leisurely drive later in the day.
Nice spot for a hide. I wonder if Lucy was found?
