Found. Signed as addicted cupcakes with the cupcake ninjas. May have had to borrow from a neighbour.
Dropped by at the nearby pub for a meal. Lovely lamb sausages and mash. After filling up we made our way up here to grab the find. Luckily I usually carry a torch. Made the spot a bit easier. A few well timed hops and grabs. Cache in hand. Thanks for a cool urban hide. A favourite point for sure.
Find# 11361Nice easy find.Found a bit of fence wire to enable the extraction. We are in town for business. However, we have a free day to create some "Smileys".TFTC Joshwa27 10 June 2024
Over in the area heading for Canberra to attend the Easter Mega with tmann421Tons of caches done while here and this was one of them.Enjoyed the touring around and all the containers foundLog signed tm/ww NZThanks for the placement and the effort put into maintaining these hides for us to find.
*In Cowra with woolwood9 today.* Weather caused some frustration with rain off and on again today. We managed to get the container found here! SL *tm/ww NZ**Thanks for the reason to stop and I appreciate the effort in setting up these caches!*Friendly lady at shop helped us here.
Tallest of our family came to our rescue and found it after just a second of looking
A quick find here, cache is all goodHeaded over to the Capital GeoBash in Canberra, ACT with Freddo over 5 days, travelling through the central part of NSW before caching around the hinterlands. A nice few days over with great weather. Thanks for the cache
Cache found in the last place we looked. The trip bit.Easter geocaching festival of twenty twenty four. This time it is the turn of Oz Mega GeoBash MEGA event in the nation's capital. It is time for a road trip across country to Canberra in the Sporty Pajero Sports. Freddo and Gridge98 traveling from Adelaide via a strange inland route that takes in scenic rural locations, dusty roads, punctured tyres, overheating batteries, various tools of the trade, special campgrounds, and lots scope for many many geocaching finds. Along the way we saw running emus, jumping kangaroos, wandering deer, dead foxes, herds of wooly sheep and stray steers.Arriving in Canberra we met our colleagues e.gregory1, featherwaite, team walron, courtney rose, davidwazza, e_smilie, and georode, signing as ABP, plus a huge group of other like minded excited mega geocachers attending event after event, and more events.Day one. Canberra to QueenbeeyanDay eight. Canberra to AdelaideThe generic bit.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. The second day of our geo adventure holiday, after camping down by the river at Darby Falls, we set off to explore the Cowra region as it is somewhere we have never ventured and with lots of history to explore
Well, this holiday is all about taking the time to see some of the amazing gems that you find while geocaching
Nice easy find

Staying at Wyangala for a few days and needed to head into town to replenish some supplies. Decided it was the prefect opportunity to collect a few caches while we were there.
Arrived at GZ and the gps was playing games and kept sending us all over the place. Read the hint and had a search but couldn't see anything. Read some previous logs and confusion set in... is it up or down? We decided that as it had been replaced recently it must be down so focused our attention in that direction. Started just randomly poking at things and all of a sudden realised it was the cache. Signed the log and returned to its low position.

We had a quick look for this one, no plaque in the area. After reading the last log we decided to abandon the search.
Cache needs checking by CO.

I had spotted this one a few days ago on my first day in Cowra but was unable to grab. Now on my last night staying in Cowra over Easter, was able to grab with JimmyDave and return and sign. Nice hide right in the middle of town. Thanks!
Headed into town for tea, from the caravan park where we were staying, and spotted this cache on the map. Lucky we had a couple of short people (as in DustyEartha and Lacelot) to assist with the find, and there was very few people around.
Thank you for the cache
Thank you for the cache
Tricky one. Being of the short arse variety and with no help I had to sneak a stool from a close by establishment as a TOT! Tftc
Did some cache hunting around Cowra with goingplaces2. Enjoyed the day and the caches found. This one was a bit more challenging than most to find and to retrieve. Log was signed and all was replaced. TFTC.
While staying in Cowra for a bit longer, along with ilook4geo, we continued the hunt for more caches where the puzzles had been solved, as well as some traditionals. We had a good pick up and each log found was decorated with two more names.
This was an interesting find. We could not find the plaque to read, but trusting our GPS we stood and gazed around and noticed a possible hiding place. On investigating this we found the cache we wanted.
Thanks go to Joshwa27 for placing this cache.

Couldn’t find any sign with the history of the Main Street so nowhere to look for the cache. Just led to a real estate agent.
Not sure where GZ is. Even the description doesn’t match the spot. There isn’t a plaque I can see, just a Real Estate office. The photo too…no traffic lights near it. Couldn’t see it.
This one had us wondering for a while but after walking around a bit Mrs SKI spotted a likely place, and there it was.
Today we left Grenfell on a very cold and windy day and moved to Cowra. We managed one cache on the way and then set up for a couple of days. After thawing out a bit we headed out to look around, our first stop being the Visitors Centre. We really enjoyed the hologram and displays on Cowra. We had both heard of the outbreak before and seen the tv show. The staff there were fabulous and quite interested to hear about a geocaching multi that took you to a number of the sites. We worked on that multi and found a couple of traditionals but in the end the cold beat us. We’ll try again tomorrow and hope it’s a bit warmer.

We found it but being on the short side( 153/ 167 cm) with short arms, there was no way we would retrieve it, no matter how high we reached. Too busy for aids to be used.

Found on an early morning walk from the caravan park.
Once spotted by Pam I could just reach it.

Looked for this one four years ago, but couldn't see it and thinking I would need a stepladder, gave up for a DNF.
This time, I could see it, and standing on tippy toes, just managed to retrieve it.
Thanks Joshwa27

Returning from our "unplanned alternative to the QLD mega" holiday in the New England area, we spent last night in Wellington at the same caravan park we stayed at on the way up, and today we travelled to Cowra, again staying at the showgrounds.
Given this is technically our third visit to Cowra (our first was in 2015), we have always been muggled out to attempt this cache. This evening, being Easter Monday, there was hardly a soul around, so the coast was clear and Chunk was able to make the find. TFTC Joshwa27.

Last find for this visit to Cowra. I walked straight to GZ and retrieved the cache. Lucky I'm tall. I would have liked to have read the information boards but none were found in the vicinity. There's still a few more caches to find in Cowra but I'll leave those for another time. Thaks for the fun.

# 6800 On a trip to Dubbo for a long weekend away from Canberra. It's been a while since I've managed a geo-trip so it's good to be on the road again. It's also very not, days on the mid 30's are hard going. First stop is Cowra, then Canowindra, Moping and Wellington. I returned via Orange and Crookwell for a bit of variety.
This cache took a bit of searching. Eventually CBRCHIC made the find buy could not retrieve it. So funny.
Thanks Joshwa27

We’re on the way between Wagga Wagga and Bathurst this leg of the trip. I’m trying to find at least one cache in every major town we pass through, if I’m allowed to by The Driver. After searching near a very hot seat I read previous logs and was thankful that The Driver is also The Walking Ladder who just reached up and grabbed it in the blink of an eye! If only I got taller genes.
This is rather a public place for this type of hide, as many people will need something to stand on to make the find...and that is rather public, and could draw attention to the cache. I wanted to make the find, so I fetched a stool from the car to stand on. As mentioned before, terrain should be rated higher. Not 1.5T. TFTC Joshwa27.
We finally worked it out after sometime. A stick and the wife had it. I had come from wrong angle. No plaques so maybe in the description? Tftc
Staying just one night in Cowra, and after dinner we went for a short walk and couple of caches. This one eluded us for a little until we spotted it. We then had to replace it between muggles! Thanks for the hide.
Well yes the hint helps of course. Some may find this one especially challenging but success. Thanks for placing this one and Cowra added to my list of NSW counties
Doing a road trip and found this one a long walk into town trying to find somewhere to eat. Glad I had a tall friend with me. TFTC
Nice quick find for us, luckily one of us was tall enough to reach. Struggled a little to get the lid off the container but got there in the end. Love these country towns and always take the long way to visit them when we can. Thanks
Hm.... glad to have read the previous logs as there definitely wasn’t a information signe here. Always interesting to check out the local listings though!! Also glad to have a tall friend with me. As I saw it but wouldn’t have been able to reach it without him
Quickly found but took a while until the coast was clear for the retrieval
Luckily Mr TiedyeSmileys is not vertically challenged

As we approached this hide and started poking around, the realestate agent boldly approached us and asked ‘are you playing that hiding game!?’
Then gave us a bit of a clue.
I would’ve found this hard as there isn’t a plaque to read that is in the description.
Thanks!

For two shorties on a road trip this is not the most ideal cache to search for!
Lucky it was a quiet Sunday afternoon because this little lady needed a boost!
Great cache! Thanks for the good laughs

After finishing the POW multi, we grabbed one more quick cache in Cowra before heading home to Canberra. Parked across the road on what was a busy day on the roads in the town. Arrived at GZ and spotted it immediately, but had to wait for a guy standing around at GZ reading the paper to leave. All was good in the end, hopefully no one spotted me retrieving the bold but clever hide. TFTC Joshwa27; and thanks for all your awesome caches we found over the past few days!
Found at 3:46 PM GAFF3.
Well here we are in the middle of Cowra where we have never been to before and were looking forward to finding the caches around here, however we struck a bit of a snag straight away as this cache broke one of our rules to not look at the hint, but we just had to on this occasion as we would not have found it unless we looked at the hint - which we had to look up on the internet - because a rating of 1.5 T means it is easily accessible by everyone, but this one isn't!
Thanks Joshwa27.
Feedback: This cache should be rated a 2.0 or 2.5 for T to give cachers a hope of looking in the right spots.
