Thanks for the cache 2y'stassies.After a successful find nearby, I decided to take the GeoGSP's for a nice stretch of the legs along this lovely walking track. This is another cache that I've managed not to find before, so it was nice to find another in the 'Waiting For The Ferry' series.
Hi 2y'stassies. Today we found your cache on the Devo trip for the year. VK7HCH and I hatched yet another plan to whip it up to the north to continue our plundering of caches both GC and GCA. As there are so many caches in this area we had freedom of choice to do those we wished to. We have solved a few puzzles so we can find those and lots of others. Although I didnt find the girl U want, the caches were enough. Its a beautiful world here in Tassie. Thanks for hiding the cache for us to find today. Finding this cache takes my GC finds to 5259 and I found it on Saturday 26 Oct 2024FTF: NoMates: VK7HCHMuggles: Condition: GoodWeather: slightly cloudyMy favorites:Creative - Back to the future 1 by peaches (GCA5JYD)Hardest - Men in Black Holes by SG-3 (Archived)Most visited - Dragons Lair by Shagzter (GC2E33)Tractable also visited your cache
Thanks 2y'stassies for placing Waiting For The Ferry: Waiting With Mel and Luca. Swampy and I headed back to plunder more of the Northern coast over the Hobart Show long weekend. 4 day long weekend for 1 days annual leave. Sweet. This is day 23 Devonport and surrounds. At least my log is not full of bad 80s references. This run has us finding both GC and GCA caches. So many caches, so little time. This is my GC find #2198 and was found on 26/10/2024 at 16:49FTF: Found with: SwampyWeather: fairMuggles: noneLight level: goodCache condition: goodDistance from GZ: Your cache was visited by my trackables: TB9QQD2, TB9KZ39 and TB7HH81
Today I brought the husband with me to see if we could finally avenge this prior dnf x 3. Of course he found it in a matter of minutes. Cache was found in rather than under but all good with perfect coordinates on a glorious day in Devonport. TFTC 2ystassies
This morning we did a maintenance run on some caches from the "Waiting For The Ferry" series. Of the seven we checked, all were in place and in good condition (except for one having a spilt plastic bag).Although no issues had been reported since our las visit, we checked on this cache as we went by. The cache remains waiting to be found.
Routine maintenance check this morning - the cache is still there and in good condition.
During our two-month trip through New Zealand and Australia, our visit to Cradle Mountain and Tasmania has already come to an end. Tonight, we sail back to the mainland with the night boat.We arrived early in Devonport and before the boat leaves there is still time for some cache in the area. This cache was not found during that tour.**2y'stassies**, thanks for the cache.
We are currently on a eight week holiday which is mostly spent in New Zealand and Australia. However, the first three days were spent in Singapore as a nice break from an otherwise long flight. We had about three weeks in New Zealand which went by too quickly. The remaining five weeks are spent in Australia. The last days were spent in Cradle Mountain which we absolutely loved. Today we drove to Devonport and tonight the Spirit of Tasmania will ferry us back to the mainland. It is lovely weather and we arrived rather early. So plenty of time for a nice walk along the coast. Apperently we had some starting problems because we weren't able to find the first three caches of this seres we visited. Luckily we then picked ourselves up and the rest of the caches we visited of this series were all found. Thanks to this series we had a excellent walk and a very enjoyable time while waiting for the ferry. Thank you very much for this series.
I looked for this a couple of days ago with no luck. I even contacted the CO who assured me its there. So today while I waited for the ferry I went for another look. Its about 10.30am and I dont have to board until 9.30pm so I should have enough time to find it Woo hoo how did I not find that the other day?? Honestly I do believe cache blindness is an actual thing! Now on with my walk along the river with a smirk on my dial as this cache is now a on my map.TFTC 2ystassies Keep smiling
Out on an afternoon stroll hoping to turn my around. But once again I couldnt find it. Maybe tomorrow morning Ill have another look and get lucky. Now to the beach so GeoCleo can have a play in the water.TFTC 2ystassies Keep smiling
Persistence paid off here. A bit of fresh air and celebrating my 3rd anniversary living in Tas. Got off the Spirit on Xmas Eve in 2020 and found a new home
Revisited this one and despite a recent CO check and an additional hint I was unable to locate. This may become my nemesis cache I fear. Will get Geohusband to come with me next time. TFTH
Coordinates changed from:S 41 10.493 E 146 22.023Coordinates changed to:S 41 10.492 E 146 22.022Distance from original: 7.5 feet or 2.3 meters. After locating the cache, we remeasured the coordinates using an average of multiple GPS readings and GPS Point (averaged over 5 minutes). That has led to both the south and east being decreased by 0.001
The cache was still in place and in good condition. We have marginally undated the coordinates reducing both the South and East by 0.001 minutes.
My Tassie adventure begins and the first couple of caches I can’t find!! I really hope this is not what my whole trip is going to be like. Oh well, it only means I will have to come back and try again another day.

We think we were right onto the GZ but someone was camped right on the spot so we left empty handed and gloomy. I don't think camping is allowed there?
Whilst we weren't waiting for the ferry we did see a few who were.
Took us a few minutes but we found it in eventually.

TTFT gave us something to do while waiting for the ferry, as intended! No travel bug unfortunately, cache and log in perfect condition.
Day 3 of my Tasmanian Odyssey and I’m out with a muggle friend to enjoy a drive along the north coast…
Last find for this lightening quick visit into Devonport… a nice area to walk and a quick find at GZ…

Waving a friend off today, so while I was waiting for the big red ferry to make its way up the Mersey I made a quick find here. Found a lovely clean cache, signed log and replaced exactly as found. Thanks for the distraction while I waited 2y’stassies.
We are starting to change our caches to Premium Only because we have become increasingly frustrated with some finders who
* have logged a find without signing the logbook
* not taken care by replacing the camo after finding a cache
* shifting the location of a cache to "an easier find"
These unthinking actions have resulted in a significant increase in maintenance, time we could better use for caching.
We had deliberately made our caches available to all who want to cache but as some are not showing respect, we are reluctantly changing many to Premium Only. We apologise to those responsible cachers who are not Premium Members but we have reached the tipping point.

We had managed to tag along for a short holiday with muggle brother who had a couple of commitments in Tasmania, (from Vic) and after we also managed some time to explore, managed to add this smile as we headed back to the Ferry to return home, This was our last find for the trip as we needed to board the Ferry, but we do hope to be back soon to add more smiles, TFTC and the fun
Kicking around in reeds and found it!! Great find, although not to do in dark. Sunset great!!!
Easily found this time must have been missing, thanks for the replacement and continuing the enjoyment. TFTC
Thanks for replacing, after a long search turned out my sister had found it first and had it in her pocket

Following the recent DNFs a check today has revealed some vegetation maintenance and it appears that the cache may have been a casualty. It was been replaced nearby and the coordinates updated.
Spent a good 15 to 20 minutes looking. Unfortunately we couldn't find it. Hopefully it's still there
These caches were a perfect time filler while waiting to board the Spirit of Tasmania we enjoyed a leisurely stroll enjoying the beautiful weather. We enjoyed the variety of hides and had to exercise quite a lot of stealth. Thank you for placing these caches 2y'stassies.
4/4/21 Found by amynryan0128. TFTC! co ords slightly off but definitely there
We checked on the cache today. It is still there and in very good condition. It is waiting to be found. It requires more than a cursory look.
Parked right here on the corner, i wasn't gonna ignore this one before driving off to my last here this morning.
[I am SO coming back here in a couple of weeks for at least 2 days / nights to cache like mad in a place that has more caches than sand granules on a beach ]
Made the find in a timid state as i felt like i was encroaching onto private land with the house just to the east but it was sighted quickly so that turned out well [^]

The cache and contents are good and dry [^]

Found this despite the scrutiny of the nearby householder. Managed to grab it when he went inside. TFTC
My Dad has found this one before and he showed me where it is meant to be. The area looks the same though.
See the Maintenance Note of 3 March. The cache had been put in the wrong location by a previous finder. It is now back where it should be.
Following a message from Happy Wandrian about the hide for this cache, we went and checked this morning and it is clear that a previous finder has moved the cache some distance and relocated it in a hide not consistent with the hint. So we have found the cache, checked it (all OK) and replaced back where we originally hid it. Just a reminder to everyone - replace the cache where you found it, not in another location because you think that it is a better hide or to make it easier for others. Thanks Happy Wandrain for taking the time to alert us to the problem.
Thank you for placing a "Waiting for the ferry" cache, I have moved a travel bug into your cache from the "Thomas Drew" cache. Its goal is to get to Don River QLD so hopefully this will be its stepping stone to the big island.
This was a great little cache to find on a dog walk. The cache was easy to find and in good condition. Thanks for the cache 2y'stassies!
This was Suscoe's final day staying in Devonport, so we decided to find a few caches before we had to head off along the highway.
We were not waiting for the Ferry today but we could see how this would be a great way to spend a few hours before departure. We also took on a few other caches in the East Devonport area.
It was a lovely sunny day with a seabreeze at times keeping things pleasant, but in some areas the sea breeze disappeared and it was warm.
Thanks to the 2y'stassies for this hide.
We continued our wander along the river and we were enjoying this series, thanks.
