Bisoutje and I are on a long roadtrip between Cairns and Adelaide and have now touched ground at the Blue Mountains. We spent 2 days hiking in this beautiful national park and enjoyed every second. We saw numerous animals and plants, magnificent views over waterfalls, mountains and valleys and were able to hike many kilometers and altitude gains. The legs are sore but the memories are worth it!This was a quick find as soon as we found a muggle free moment.TFTC
Found it before the whordes if muggles came, early in the morning. Tftc
With 4 hours to spare in between errands and appointments, lets hop onto a train up to Katoomba. Easy find. Third of five planned finds. TFTC Shuckypoo
Now a smiley for me. Came at it from different angle. Spotted it from 10m away. Gps still says 7m. Tftc.
In the Blue mountains to walk the new Grand Clifftop hike that has opened recently. Despite a couple of detours would still highly recommend it! Cache was an easy find, TFTC
Lost reception on the phone about 30m from GZ. Regained 26m after. A bit of back and forth deciding where to look. I really should have spied the hint when I had reception and saved myself about 10mins of looking aimlessly but wheres the fun in that!? In the end it was in a pretty obvious spot and Im just not terrific at this haha tftc
08:42last day in australia we began with a short cliff walk in katoomba, then moved to olympic park in sydney and after car return we even managed to attend the beer o'clock event before we moved to the city for a last stroll.thanks for the cache.
We hiked today the track from Furbers Steps to Fern Bower and back to the carpark.Unfortunately there weren't any caches down, but we are happy to log this one. TFTC!
Visited it during 28-days geotrip to Australia, N.Caledonia, Vanuatu, Fiji, Am.Samoa, Fr.Polynesia with Marci, Ch. Sometimes we logged as "MT" or "Jonea" or "MTCh". Thanks for showing nice caches and places. MT-Jonea from Brno city in Czechia EU. Gbi
Well this was not easy to find. As previous cachers have said it is quite close to the track (my estimate is <2m from the track) The tree appears dead or if it is not it won't last much longer. It is more than 10m from where the co-ords take you. The co-ords are closer to a rainforest environment but the cache environment is drier. There are lots of trees with rocks at their base and lots more that don't have a rock at their base too so it took me a while to find. But persistence prevailed and I succeeded with a find. Nice place to walk.
Geocaching on foot after riding my bike up here all the way from inner Sydney.Very beautiful here in the Blue Mountains, loving it!Quick find at gz, tftc!
After completing Dardanelles loop, my phone was dead flat but somehow turned on one last time to allow me to make the find! Theres a lovely section thru the tree ferns near this cache and an amazing new lookout, that looks very near completion thats super amazing too!
Took a bit of searching, and the point is a few metres off, but closer to the track Black tube is definitely sealed shut now!....../ ).....' /---' (_____.TFTC . ((__)..... _ ((___)....... -'((__)--.___((_)
went for a walk this morning to the two unfound caches at honeymoon lookout. the one at the lookout was busy with muggles so i wandered down this way first.went off track near gz and just let my eyes wander. hide was discovered not long after this. there's two bison here. one is sealed shut and so i signed the green one i could get inside.thanks for taking me here with a geocache. i saw a king parrot and a lyrebird just before searching for this one.
Today I'm leaving Sydney for a trip to the Blie Mountains. I saw such beautiful scenery, waterfalls, tree ferns, birds, eucalyptus etc.. It was enormous! My day was punctuated by all the caches I found along the way. They were all found without difficulty, and so were the labcaches. I just didn't have time to go and find the bonus. Thanks to all the posers for a great day. # The Owls Lair As evening falls, it's very quiet and I can hear all the sounds of the forest - it's magical!Merci Shuckypoo pour la cache ! ~~~> Pipoune72, #.4433
T4TC , greetings from Singapore ! Happy to put a smilie on this cache. Thanks for the hint
Took a while to find, but the clue about it being really close to the track helped a lot. TFTC
So planned a day to the blue mountains today. Want to do some hiking and hoping to find some geocaches as well.
Took the train from Parramatta in the morning and then walked from the station to Echo point enjoyed the view and walked further to the cache site. Looked around and walked further down to the coal mine near the Scenic cableway. And because the furber steps were closed turned back around and went back the same way and up all the stairs and continued with the Henry route. At the top it was really windy and cold today but down not so much.
Thanks for showing this really enjoyed the hike.

TFTC, it was my favourite cache we got today! I would warn hunters that the navigation is wrong by about 10 metres.
Cold windy morning but great for walking and caching. This one isn’t far off the track. TFTC.
I’m working in Katoomba for the next couple of weeks and thought I’d grab a few caches while I’m in the area.
I thought I could park on Cliff Drive close to the cache and find a path down. I found I had to access the walking track from Honeymoon Lookout and make my way close to GZ.
Once there the GPS coordinates showed I had to leave the walking track and go bush.
I was looking around the area for some 20min and I could see where Allenke was searching. As I returned to the walking track to regroup I found the little hidden treasure exactly where the hint says. Only, it’s about 11 Metres from where the coordinates said it should be. Try
S 33 43.574
E 150 19.064
This should have you closer to GZ
I completed the formalities. and returned the cache to its hidey hole and reinstated the camo.

A wise old owl once told me don't bother with caches in bushland. I wish I had listened! 20 minutes no find.
gps kept telling 2m that way.

Headed up to Katoomba today and although hiking rather than caching was higher on the agenda managed to grab a few and knock off an AL. TFTC
(4 of 12 today - including 5 Adventure Labs)
Probably not the best day to head up to Katoomba for a few caches - so many muggles around and parking anywhere - even at the lookouts - was a nightmare.
As a result I bypassed a few caches I'd have otherwise grabbed. But still nabbed a good number - including a full AL after being lucky enough to get a parking spot at Leura.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
A few groups of hikers were milling at the lookout not far from GZ. As a result needed to wait before leaving the trail.
Not too long a search, but of course I walked past it and only found it when I circled back around.
Signed, replaced then enjoyed the view from the now deserted lookout.

De originele container gaat niet open, is verroest. De nieuwe kleine petling die er aangehangen is, hebben we voorzien van een papiertje met onze namen/stempel er op.

We are currently replacing the log book as the other one is trapped in the black container. We were a bit surprised at the size and thought that maybe it was a HUGE coincidence and the cache was hidden somewhere else but turned out to be the cache in the end.
Did the walk from Echo point to the cascades. I lovely walk on a cold day.
Thought it was going to be at that tree to start but GPS led me elsewhere. After a bit of a hint I went to the tree and located it. Log is pretty full.
Thanks for the cache

# 8245 We're in the Blue Mountains for a few days fully expecting rain, but it has remained surprisingly dry.
We walked from Echo point around to the Cascades on the forest track. This cache was on the way. Cache was close to path, about 9m from gz.
Thanks pjmpjm

While visiting the Three Sisters, we were delighted to discover a few boxes hidden nearby.

I didn’t find it but next time I geocache I will work harder and try put more effort and in to finding it.
A quick find with the hint today. Lots of wind blowing in and sounds of waterfalls far below. Log full. Green bison empty. As others noted.

TFTC! Needs a new log book. One container is empty the other is fully logged. Great spot
My phones GPS was playing up but still managed to find it based on pin location on map. Looked at clue after and coupled with map location it's a dead giveaway. TFTC!
Found it - after a bush detour, log damp so did not write on it. High muggle zone. TFTC.
Really nice find, found with my friend

Up from Sydney to Katoomba for a day of geocaching. Walking along the track approaching GZ when Mr Gaztek spotted the tell a few metres before we expected it. The older log is very full and the younger one is damp, we found a small space on the older one. SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek
Not as easy to find as we thought, gps was giving us the runaround... found eventually, phew!
Missed the start of the trail but eventually found the right rock. Good to get out of the house after all the COVID restrictions. TFTC
