(On our way from Cairns to Sydney we stopped here on our third day driving from Bloomsbury to Tooloombah Creek. This was a quick find after enjoying the nice view from the bench close by. Nice to finally find a Cache on the way from Cairns to Sydney since all the others we attempted were gone or not accessable due to the floods or we could not find them.
Had to come out to Slade Point this morning, so thought we would look for some caches while in the neighborhood. T4T$
Arrived in Mackay today with the geo family and we headed off for a looksee and the marina and cape Slade. An easy find here with stunning views. Many thanks for the cache.
So pleased to find this one as I needed a find today for the calendar challenge.loved the giant cactus. Picked up a couple TBS to take back to Victoria. Left a TOOT. Thanks for an active cache after so many dnfs on others around the area.
This was my very first experience of geocaching. It was on 16.1.2018. I had no idea what we were doing; thought it was a funny place to start a walk! Then my niece found the cache and the game was further explained.. so I didn't really find it but my brother says it's ok to claim it Thanks!
Out with team Nelta. In town visiting family, first find in Mackay. Lovely spot, massive ocean breezes. Quick find and swaps. Introduced pixielcd to the geocaching world. TFTC.

Visiting friends in town after driving up from a very cold Adelaide we went for a drive to explore and made a find and sign on this cache.

In Mackay for the AFL on this weekend and trying to pick up some caches to boost the numbers.
Couldnt see it from right next to it but changing the angle got me the grab.

Last day in Mackay for this trip and we came out here for a little look at the ocean.
After a few minutes searching I spotted the hide and was signing the log.

Today we headed towards the Marina area in the morning.

Travelli g between mackay and airlie this afternoon i decided to make a detour. .
Ok a big detour to look for a cache that has annoyed me since i couldn't find it last time. Turns out i was lookings at the wrong end and as i widened my search it became am easy find. Feeling much happuer now

Agh this one should be called Under Pressure as that is the feeling you get as the sun sets and your gps is telling you to walk head long into thorny succulents. Still could have been worse. It could have required me to go headlong into the cactus. Didn't find it today but maybe when the grass dies back I'll try again.

I love this part of Mackay. The rain held off long enough to race over to gz and add my name. An easy find.
