Oh wow that required quite a hunt! But we found it and then realised we had no pen! thanks for a fantastic find in a very special location!
Found, good spot! Cache is in need of some maintenance water has gotten in and the log book is wet
TFTF. Tricky little find watching sunset at the end of our couple days adventure at the Grampians

I had to sit for a while with Bunjil and ponder if I would make it back down safe and sound. The places you go for a smiley. Cache located exactly where the hint said it would be. A fabulous spot to look out. TFTC
Thoroughly searched where the clue indicated it should be and no cache to be found. Hopefully the next searchers have better fortune.
On the way out to little desert and didn’t get up here last visit. But this time we did and spotted an echidna and some smaller wildlife. Nice spot
Thanks Jacko83 for the cache.

What a great soy for a walk and walk we did, we thoroughly enjoyed the trek up the hill over the boulders and through the bush until our goal was in sight, thanks to geo hubbys long legs he was up and had the prize in hand ( thanks to the clue) today was a good day, thanks for placing this cache
I’d like to say this cache was fun…. But it wasn’t!! For a start I attempted this alone which in hindsight was a mistake because if anything went wrong, no one really knew where I was. The next problem was I was completely going the wrong way into the cache bush bashing and boulder hopping the whole way. I didn’t spot any path on my way in which made this a super tricky . On arrival at GZ I searched and scrambled and looked here and there. I was about to give up and tried one more thing. I placed all my belongings on the ground and up even further I went. It was slippery and I wasn’t feeling too safe here. I was also hoping I didn’t fall and hurt myself as I was by myself as previously mentioned.
Anyway after a lengthy search I finally got my hands in the prize. Signed and replaced and finally found the path to walk out!!!! It was hot and by the time I got to the car I was exhausted and very thirsty.
Thanks for placing.

After checking out the nearby cave we headed up, over and beyond, carefully making our way to this one. We thought we had narrowed in on where the cache could be hiding, but then thought we should circle around. Hmmm then we had an Ah-ha moment. We were close, but not quite close enough. We had a crack. A good solid crack, but it wasn’t enough. After admitting defeat we started walking away, but we were so close. Lucky we only took 2 or 3 steps!! Lol. Our second attempt we got higher!! Omg!! It was right there!! Soooo close!!!! After weighing up our options and deciding a jump like a sugar glider was out of the question, we bravely tackled the rock. Wooohoooo!!! We did it!!! The cache was found, logged and replaced. The way down was so much quicker!! Tftc
Up this way, literally, with Jenno and kenare. We came this far so we couldn’t leave this one without having a decent try. We almost gave up. Almost. After a change of tact we soon had it in hand. Tftc
Didn’t realise how much mountain goat kenare kenbryl and myself had in us. Got to the top and read the hint….. hmmm really just that bit more…..kenare did the end bit which was the toughest. halfway there then doubt……but she is made from super tough stuff and determination won out and the cache was in hand. Tftc
The first day of our trip around Victoria and we started in Avoca as we needed to pick our spare mattress up for A’Tuin, our Geomobile, and home on wheels. As we made our way to Hall's Gap, we wanted to pick some caches up on the way. We decided this spot would be a great place for a picnic lunch and a walk with the Geodogs. The GPS would not settle and there is a lot of clumps of spiky grass up here that led to a lot of crevasses. Eventually, we found the required one. The cache is in excellent condition. Thank you for this cache Jacko83. The view from up the top is spectacular, we'd love to watch a thunderstorm from this vantage point.
We rewarded ourselves with some gummy snakes after this find. No real snakes to be seen on this winter day even though it is sunny.
Another fantastic cache bringing us to places we would never know about otherwise.
Love the granite boulders on this hill (mountain??) - the geo kids love climbing them. Sisters rocks also was a great visit for climbing. The landscape is our playground!

A dry walk to it, a rather damp walk back as the showers that were hiding the grampians decided to pay us a visit.
An enjoyable walk up here to see the view of the shower fast approaching. We didn't escape it! Interesting area. TFTC!

Beautiful walk and rock jumping...awesome....my little girl loved investigating all the rocks and insists this will be out regular local walkabout.... thanks
Second day of our Southern Wimmera travels Ararat to Horsham via a geo-route plan, many twists and turns, not seen on a regular route plan.
Great fun and a comfort to know a couple of seniors can manage such adventures!
Our thanks to 'Jacko83' for adding this cache to the geo-gameboard.

Nice spot, long walk though. A few spots where I was going there on GPS alone but a lot easier on the way back. TFTC
Find #268@ 3:00pm on 29/6/20 hard to get there, even harder to find! If I had my eyes open when i climbed up to something I probably would have found it at least 20 minutes quicker

Here with the family to check out the amazing artwork but with the stormy weather approaching it was decided that I would run up to the lookout. What a stunning landscape to run on for a while. I ca see how it got its name. Found cache quickly, signed, replaced, and ran back to the family to crawl around on my belly looking for the multi.
Continuing the journey up to the final cache in this fascinating location the down sized container was spotted with the good hint.
Thanks Jacko83 for the nice walk today, the views of the Grampians in the distance were amazing!

This morning I got up nice and early and headed down to go for a walk up here and have a look at the Bunjil artwork. It was quite interesting and always wonder how they stumbled across such and area, they must of lived it tough back in those days too.
All the caches were easily found and are in good condition.

A final location for me to visit this weekend on my way home from the Grampians. I’ve had my eye on these caches for a while because I was really interested in seeing the early aboriginal art. I think my body had hit the point where it had done so much hiking over a two day period that it was just going to keep going. Legs didnt even complain about the extra km to get this one and thoroughly enjoyed the walk, listening to an audiobook while the sun was setting. Perfect way to end the weekend!
Found the cache quickly thanks to the hint re the spiky grass. I replaced the container and log while there as it had shattered. Preform container now. Thanks for showing us the area

On the way to Hall's Gap we stopped by the area to visit Bunjil's Shelter. We enjoyed wandering a bit further to find this cache. Great location for the cache. The container needs replacing as one side is completely broken out. The log book is wet but we managed to sign. TFTC.
Being the first time in Australia, Jobär and me, we had to decide about geocaching or looking for some touristic spots (and even sometimes both at the same time). We were prepared at least for the grandfathers of a cache which had to be done to fill our matrix.
I was very keen on visiting The Grampians and find some aboriginal rock art. So after arriving in Halls Gap we decided to visit Bunjil today. And after visiting the painting we went a bit further for a walk to this cache. It wasn't that easy to reach it, but together we are strong! Thanks for bringing us here and many greetings from Germany. I will leave a FP here.

On our tour with a campervan through southeast of Australia minebine and me today made a trip from our campground in Halls Gap. We first visited Bunjil's Cave. After we had seen tge pauíntings we further walked to the Lookout. First we searched around the GZ until we decides that I ha´d to climb up furhter and there the container was. On our way we saw many nice formed rocks and rock formations.

Oh wow!! What a find!! Possibly the hardest 500m up I have done in quite some time, and alike, the easiest 500 back to the car! With geoson marvelling at the views and watching our footing so as not to twist an ankle or four we arrived at GZ eventually. After toing and froing for a few minutes, eventually we went around ‘that way’ and discovered the hint was as plain as the noses on our faces. All I had to do was look at geoson, and up he went. Instantly with cache in hand! It was so lovely to have one-on-one time with my big boy, out exploring our local area. I was born in Stawell and cannot believe that in all of this time, I haven’t been to bunjils cave. This is what GC is all about. Discovering our surrounds; exploring our own back yard. This one gets a fave from us! Thanks Jacko83, tn, left 2 badges.
OMG!!!! Sally.Glenn and Geokid want more Jacko83. Your caches are awesome, what a walk, what a view, what an adventure! We are going to chase your hides everywhere. Cache is in good order and all is well.
After an unsuccessful hunt at the nearby Multi, we did the interesting walk up from the art site through the granite boulders and burnt trees to this spot.
Ah..yeah...of course it is up there. So the old Juc Cachers managed the scramble and were rewarded.
Another classic Jacko cache in a ripper spot. Once again, these type of caches are why we do this. Why go for a drive-by mint tin in an urban guard rail when you can give yourself a coronary on top of a remote mountain ? I'm just glad I don't have a fear of heights.
Thanks for another awesome view Jacko !

Great day for this walk to this high point, cache higher than I thought and out in the open , placed back with rock to hold it. TFTC
After the dnf at the multi I then tackled this one which was a nice little well up there challenge which I found & enjoyed despite being very windy... TFTC
Up in the Grampians for a memorable day of caching venturing high, under and through the Grampians to some amazing locations with Simsfamily and Neville devil. On the return journey we took a detour to grab a few more caches before calling it a day.
At first we thought we'd leave this one for another day but thankfully we decided to make the walk to grab it. Once at GZ the cache was quickly discovered. We remained at GZ for sometime watching the sunset over the Grampians.
I spent a few quiet minutes sharing this moment with my Sister in my thoughts as the sun engulfed our veiws.
Log signed and replaced as found.

Out today with the family exploring the area. We did a Bungils cave, Stawell, big Koala, Roses Gap lap back to Halls. Spotted Roos, Echidna, Blue tongues, and a small snake. Picked up double figures of cache and had a great day out. Thanks to all the co’s for the fun. TFTC
Stopped by on my way east to check out the view.
A nice stretch of the legs too.
Searched at wrong level before realising the stars indicated elsewhere.

The day has taken a turn for the better as we take a stroll through the reserve in search of a cache. The track is getting less distinct the further we go and it eventually peters out and we are forced to continue by just following the arrow.
We arrive at GZ and are rewarded with a stunning vista and a cache to boot. Thanks for bringing us here.

So glad there was a cache here as all the times I've been to Bunjil's cave, I never realized there was a lookout here! Great spot for a cache. Enjoyed the walk in & the little rock scramble up to GZ. Another favourite for the Bunjil area.
I wonder if our reviewer is so called due to plans to transform himself into an eagle...

This was a great walk up from the car park and the view from around gz was stunning! Thanks for placing the cache up here.
Accompanied by Wozzle68, we enjoyed a really fun day today in this very special and spectacular area.
We took our time with the walk to the Lookout, enjoying the views along the way. Let alone the views at the top - they were amazing! A fave point for the terrific experience we had out here today. Many thanks Jacko83!

Staying at nearby Lake Fyans with hubby and the kids for the long weekend and a cache or two was in order! After DNFing the multi we made the trek up to this cache. It was warm but not too hot yet thankfully. Such amazing views of the Grampians from up here. Kids made a rock tower nearby as we hunted for the cache. Many thanks for bringing us to a location we would probably never have been to if it weren't for geocaching.
We've explored the Bunji cave's region previously, but that was before we even knew about geocaching.
Today we decided to escape the house with the kids and go visit. We were all getting cabin fever and relying too much on technology.
We arrived at the caves looking for the multi (GC5RRQH ) with no luck, it said we were 1km away, when it should have only been 100m.
With Muggles having just arrived we decided to ditch the multi and go to the lookout instead.
The last time we were up near the lookout area was 4 years ago. Gez how time flies.
We reminisced about our adventures all while having a new one, taking shelter in a little cave waiting for the rain to pass.
15 minutes later and we were off again, thanks to the clue it was an easy find.

Nearly didn't score a smiley here. Having walked quite sime distance from the carpark, and all uphill at that , Thus aging lady with no backup was faced with a near vertical cliff which seemed much more than a scramble/climb. Not one to give in easily I eventually managed to gain the heights, but by then I was so worried about how I would return to a less giddy neight that I even forgot to look at the views. Sorry I missed that. This became a much more heart stopping adventure than expected wnen I set inoccently off from the carpark. Thanks for the adventure jacko83
Cache #235 found @ 4:25 PM.
Brought the family back to check this place out, and snag the cache I missed last visit! Note to those struggling... The tuft of spiky grass is not on the ground... Look up! Great spot, TFTC.

We were returning from Horsham and made a short detour to check out this area. After finding the multi and checking out Bunjil's Cave we continued along the trail to this cache. Absolutely stunning views of the Grampians here. Definitely earns another favourite!
At GZ I scoured around the outside of the rock before checking the hint and realising I needed to go up. Cache was soon in hand and the views are even better from up top.
Log signed and cache replaced, thanks!

Left the wife looking for the multi, went looking for the other one. What a great view. TFTC.
After finding the multi we headed further up the hill and on to this cache What a great spot for a cache I loved the walk up and although there was a fog over the scenery the views were pretty spectacular. Its a shame this isn't nominated for the caching awards These should have been nominated for location for sure. I suppose that is the problem with these ones a bit out of the way. Well it gets a favorite anyway TFTC
A smaller group ventured on from the cave to this location with nanton34 and I who were eager to grab this cache and admire the view from the lookout. We were unlucky with the weather as morning fog only had a portion of the grampians visible, but it did not deter from the experience of finding this cache. This was quite an adventure for us and the four kids that followed us (almost) to GZ. A favourite point from me, tftc
I have wanted to get out to bunjls cave for some time now, as I am fortunate enough to have a view of the black ranges from my lounge room. Hunting down this geocache was the perfect excuse to take the geokids out there today. I loved the scramble and getting off the track - amazing view.
After the cave multi, headed up the hill to get this one. Nice view of the Grampians from here - different angle from usual. Interestingly different scenery around from the Grampians itself - e.g. all the granite. Thanks for the cache!
Thanks for the cache. Nice and remote I will say. The paintings were interesting as were the views of the Grampians. Out caching with puck013
Beautiful spot.. Snorkafest spotted the cache, but my nimbleness had to get it. Great teamwork! Gorgeous view!! A favourite for me!!
I made a stop off here after competing in a sporting event some 30km away. I did no good there so I thought a cache or two may cheer me up.
And cheer me they did.
The darkness was really settling over the place as I wandered around following a disappearing track. Soon enough the GPSr was counting down to single figures.
Once I scratched my head a little the reading made a little sense. I slowly made my way up to GZ and soon found this great little cache. The view with the setting sun and rising new moon was fantastic. I need to get up here in the bright sunshine and take it all in.
With my name signed I was off to the ute, the nearby multi would have to wait another day.

Went for a drive to Stawell to get the Earth Cache for The Geocaching Road Trip 15. Took geodog Penny and FUF009 came along with us as well.
After getting the Earth cache we decided we would do the rest of the caches in the area seeing how they were close by. Climbing over the rocks reminded us of other places we have been to. Penny, well she was thoroughly enjoying herself, climbing up and down and exploring all around.
We were welcomed to this site by two wedge tailed eagles circling around - a spectacular sight. Also great views of the Grampians.
After going around the rocks we realised we were on the wrong side, double backed and it was Mr Tyred n Cranky who had to grab this one while Mrs Tyred n Cranky and Penny looked on.

Catching up with late logs.
We were quite happy after finding Bunjil’s Caves Multi but think we may have missed the correct path to here as there was a lot off climbing over and around boulders along the way.
As the GPS began to count down our spirits were also heading down as we could see where it pointing. Bummer.
We had a bit of look around and saw a way that looked possible even though it was starting to drizzle with rain. An attempt was made and we are happy to say our name is now in log.
We did not see much of the view today as it was blocked out by the clouds but we are still leaving a favourite point.
Many thanks again Jacko83.

Seeing that I had a day to tick off the calendar, and being a Sunday, I decided to head off to Stawell and grab Bunjil's caches.
Sadly the reviewer was not home, must have been out checking some troublesome cache placements.
But on my way to his lookout I think I found his rock pile play ground.
Getting up to GZ was a good walk, apart from the chilling wind, seeing all the rock formations, a couple of black wallabies and a number of different birds it rely showed that I was way out in the wilderness.
at GZ it was a little climb but I was glad it was nothing too serious. But from up here it made the wa;lk up well worth it. Getting my name in the log it was then just to follow the track back to the ute and keep my eyes peeled for the elusive reviewer.

Woo Hoo, my very first "first to find" and what a challenge it was. Especially I'm the dark. Will have to check this place out I'm day light. We hunted around ground zero for quite a while, LED torches in hand, but they werent helping a lot. About to give up when a change of plans had us hunting on the opposite side of where we started, and eventually after a bit of tricky rock climbing i had the cache in hand. I would love to see the view from this vantage point in the day light. awesome spot, TFTC
