The planned day of caching with Skylizard was looking doubtful due to the weather but we decided to brave it. This great trail was the plan. We got most before the rain set in. We parked in a central location to the first five and set off. This was our fourth find for the day, another quick find. TFTC
Out and about with TanSaf today caching along the Hallam Valley Trail. We parked nearby and the weather looked foreboding but we managed to collect a few caches before the rain set in. This one was a nice quick find. Thanks crank1 for placing the cache.
#6535.I had some time to attempt this series on a cool and windy morning. I came prepared with the right clothing. The best thing about this weather is it keeps people from venturing outdoors. I had a good day with very few muggles and no DNF's. Thanks for this great series.
Midwinter Melbourne TourDay Three: Dandenong SouthWeather: Still wintery! For entirely non-geocaching reasons, Ive had to head out to Dandenong South today. This is one of four caches in the Hallam Valley Trail logged whilst I was out there. Its all a bit soggy, but I managed to log these four without getting wet feet. A big thank you to crank1 for these caches; hopefully Ill get a chance to complete the trail in the future.
Today Cooper from fisherfamfive and I were out on a quest for some caches in the Hampton Park area. A very short search turned up the cache and we quickly signed the log to continue our journey, TFTC crank1
Out with my good mate CammJT for a couple caches just before the school holidays ends. After a little detour to the BMX track after the last cache, this was one spotted instantly upon arrival at GZ, before we made our way to number 5. Tftc crank1
Find 4888 on March 11, 2024Boy it's a bit warm for this walk lol. But enjoying it still. All is well with the cache. TFTC crank1
Found with Bogonghazy. Day out caching in the area. Thanks crank1 for placing the cache
Found with LittleBoss2 on our week in Rye. Yesterday's caches were so good, we thought we'd head back up the highway for another long walk. All these caches were in good order with great coords. What an amazing series of caches in a beautiful area. Our sincere thanks to Crank 1 for all the time and effort in placing and maintaining them

TFTC! Came here the other day could not find it. I cant believe it was just right in front of my eyes. I really like geocaching because you go outside and explore places you have never been to.
Out and about today on the Hallam Valley Trail picking up a few random caches as I went
All found in good condition
All logs signed and returned as found
Many thanx to crank1 for the caches and ongoing maintenance as required

After finishing the KM Reedy parkrun this morning I had a look on the map for any caches nearby. 0f course, I found these - so I did just the first five around the sports fields, in an anti-clockwise direction.
Fortunately the cooler morning meant fewer muggles, although I had to wait for the odd straggling parkrunner/parkwalker.
This one took a lot longer than it should have, but was easier than I had expected. I had definitely looked to far in for about 10 minutes. A little retreat and there it was. So easy and obvious afterwards .
Thanks, crank1.

This one took a while to find - no need to go too far into the bushes. I finally looked at just the right angle and there it was!
Due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Smokey Bear will no longer be a part of Team Smokey Bear and will continue his adventures as "SmokeyBearOG".
So I'm relogging all previous finds under my new account.
Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.
**Thanks to crank1 for this adventure, looking forward to many more.**

I followed a little trail to this one which certainly helped me avoid getting my feet wet. Thank you crank1 for placing and maintaining Hallam Valley Trail 04 for us to find today.
Find # 1373.

Found it , more wet feet before I was able to sign this log. All in good order. It's nearly time for the Mailkid's Grand final which is why I was here. Maybe one more on the way back. Tftc
Aimed to complete the Halam Valley Trail today. Had great success for the most part, but we had to abandon the final three on account of our soggy muddy feet! This was a great series on a lovely walking path. Thanks for bringing us to this area and for placing this series of caches crank1! Very well enjoyed

I'm on my way to the SideTracked 15th Anniversary event way out in Bunyip. A later than hoped start on public transport, but that doesn't mean I can't make time to find a few more in the series on the way.
The second of those was just outside this brand spanking new Hallam Station, so once I'd found that I still had time before the next train... so off I wandered up a hill, where a lovely view and... ah, yes... a nice shiny cache awaited.
Now, I was expecting to catch a lift with my usual partner in crime, so had to decide whether to continue towards the end of the suburban line, or...
... hmmmm...
That series over there looks like it'd be a nice walk...
And so off I pounded along, well, Pound Rd, to the start of this trail.
This was the last of the caches in the squishier part of the parklands, but a really quick find.
Thanks, crank1

I was in the area so I headed for the swamp... er trail, needed the waders today for #1 to #5 of the Hallam Valley Trail caches. Managed #1 to # 8 today will finish the rest later.
This took a little looking for, actually found it as I was about to change where I was looking.

With 4 hours to spare I took the opportunity to grab a few caches in the area along the Hallam Valley trail. Enjoyed the plastic wrap around each log to keep them easy to sign.
This one took a couple of trips around to get the roach angle to locate the hide.
It was a prefect night to cache with not a breath of wind to spoil the evening.
Log signed and replaced as found.
Thanks for the traditional cache Crank1

Headed back out today to finish off this series as the grass was way to long last time we were here. Nice quick stop & grab. TFTC
Came by on my way home from work to finish off this end of the Hallam Trail as well as have my walk for the day. TFTC
In Melbs again and within cooeee of this series which ticks a few boxes such as getting out on the MTB and exploring the area. Teaching brought me here early on - like some decades ago to Hallam HS so the population here has increased exponentially. My other mission is to bring my “CENTROID” which is way north of the border further south and east so chipping away at these might just have some impact. All the co-ords and Melbs colourful treasures helped - hangers not usually my forte! Also no muggles to speak of. THANKS for maintaining the caches and the FUN!
Kicked off my caching account this year with the completion of the Hallam Valley Trail, working off some of the kgs put on over the xmas break. tftc
Sent Geo other half through the long grass as I just had flip flops on. Soon in hand after parkrun. Thanks
Spending the day caching with AlexiKatty trying to stay on target for my milestone for the Wangaratta mega in January. It's a nice day and beautiful to be out hear again. Very happy to add this smile to my map.

Wow! Full creek here! Walked around a bit scratched our heads, turned around and something caught our eye! Good hide!
Doing the Hallam Valley Trail caches today. A bit of water on the track but OK on my bike. I could not find #3, #5 or #7. Thanks Crank1 for your great work.
Out on a nice sunny day today, decided to give this trail a go on my bike. Lots of frogs near the creek here. Thanks for the cache crank1.
Enjoying some exercise while geocaching within our 5 km limit.
Just about to give up after almost going for a swim in the creek, saw it when walking away.

I've returned it to its hiding spot.

Out with Omegaman1971 to do a few caches in the Hallam, Cranbourne areas, we visited several parks while caching today.
Some interesting stats from 32 cache finds- 28 micros, 1 small and 3 regulars, most being bisons. What ever happened to nice size caches with swag, kind of sad to see the game go this way after fifteen years playing it.
This was one of the caches we found today.

Ok. I found it now.
Had another look on the way back to the car (from the end of this series).
Don’t take the hint to literally. It is attached so it won’t get lost.

Visited my cache today.. Yes it's missing. so I replace new one and log papers too. Please careful to get it. Thanks.
Found by pure luck. However, might need to be checked, if the weather gets bad enough, it will potentially be lost
Out with xambo4u, we aimed to do the Hallam Trail with a few caches on the way there. A beautiful sunny day made for a lovely walk and talk. A very, very wet walk in to this cache, and quite a time looking for it. Finally success. Thanks crank1.
Out and about with echidna44 clearing out some in the south. Great to take a easy walk in the sun and great company and wet feet. This one had us going in one way and out the other with no success. Extra wet here. Its all about looking at the right angle. Thanks for the cache crank1
Disabled due to the current situation, take great care in these uncertain times. Stay safe!
Walking to this cache my random Spotify playlist selected Groceries by Mallrat and how the meaning of this sweetly sung song about just wanting to get groceries when someone wants to get close to you.. has now changed.
Thanks for this quick find and the walk by the dirt bike jumps.

We were looking for a place to enjoy a walk and a few caches today so decided to explore this area. There was a game being played at the nearby sports ground, but not any muggles near us. When we looked closer at the game we weren’t sure what it was, not cricket or baseball?
Thanks for another cache. We give this one a favourite point for the enjoyable walking series.
