Looked in all the obvious places based on the clues in the logs but still didn't find it
OCW lok212325 and Rodney1210. This was a really quick find which we were grateful for given the heat of the day. Such a bold hide! TFTC!
OCW Lok212325 & Coastblue. Looking at GZ, we anticipated a much harder hide, luckily we noticed it in time. Cache# 705 TFTC
Found earlier today rather quick as I staked it out the day before. Looked at the hint.
Walked straight past first time and look at sign
Turn round 360 degree. There it is. Right in open. Took a rainbow bracelet.
Put in a lizard.

We were on our way home after checking our cache Catch 22 #Brawn, when we decided to find this cache.
We liked this cache as we weren't expecting it to be how it was.
Dropped off trackable.

Drove passed here the other day with FootyFanatics and had to tick this off the list. TFTC.
Found it on a sunny Autumn Friday while out and about with evangt. A quick find in a very quiet neighbourhood. TFTC
Stopped off on my way back home from the Amateur Radio NSW (HAM Radio) bi-monthly Trash & Treasure sale at Quarry Road Dural, to find this one. It had been a fun filled morning of HAM radio junk scrounging, and a nice BBQ lunch with lots of friendly chit chat, but now it was time to collect some more caches on the homeward journey. This was the 6th of 15 finds for the day.
After a couple of finds at the North Rocks Shopping Centre this one was next on my list. Parked the geomobile on McDonald Street, then ducked through the reserve to GZ. Quickly spotted the boldly placed cache container, and it was then CIH. TNLNSL, then replaced as found. TFTC Old Man Emu.

My second find for the morning around North Rocks. The streets are a bit windy in these parts and I ended up parking on the north side of the park, with a short stroll to GZ. Wasn't sure where this one was going to be hidden but found it in the first place I looked. Interesting to learn about the ski-jump trap.

My twelfth cache for today as I explore Carlingford on foot.
Backtracked allow the oath to this one from Ghostly Gums.
Pretty area. iPhone had me nearer the water but as I turned around I spotted it

Be the rain, lucky for me, there was none when I ventured out. Took far too long, and should have trusted instincts, when will I ever learn TFTC
Out on an adventure with sockmonkeygiraffe. GPS bouncing everywhere! As we tried to get our bearings sockmonkeygiraffe mentions 'is that it'? Lol TFTC
Like others I ended up in the drain and then spotted the cache up high.

Completely replaced the container and added 2 new logs one in zip lock and one in its own container. Some new guitar picks. A peg and a pencil.
For today's daily cache(s) went for caches hidden by Old Man Emu. Parked on the other side of the park and walked the 85 meters to the other side where the cache was found completely soaked. left a spare bit of paper which we signed..
Can't believe I've missed this in the past... I'm hoping it had something to do with the darkness last time I was here.
Couldn't sign the log due to being very wet. Took photo of log book as proof. TFTCM

Found this afternoon while trying to keep my daily streak going. This was a good little hide in a quiet park. TFTC.
Came here from the North Rocks shopping centre where I'd already found 2 caches. I parked in McDonald St and walked across the park, not far.
I couldn't see anything in the GZ locality and from the cache description and difficulty and terrain ratings I knew it should be accessable from the top. Having read previous logs I knew it could be seen from below so I decided to venture down into the creek area. Just as well no muggles walked past as I would have looked quite strange down in the creek but dressed for tennis. I was able to see the cache so crossed the creek and scrambled back up and grabbed the cache, SL and rehid it.

Out and about with Opa-Shrek today putting smileys across this part of the map, we came upon 'Be the Rain' on this bright and sunny day. The lyrics of this song were interesting, almost sounding as though they could have come from another famous musician. We initially hesitated with this one, with Opa-Shrek commenting that where I was headed didn't really match the terrain - but figured it was worth checking so headed there, while Opa-Shrek skirted around poking at the edges... As it turns out, I needed have gone the route I chose, but in doing so I spied the cache easily on my approach - directing Opa Shrek to the find from the expected terrain level, he commence logging duties while I worked my way back to him, covering myself in spiders and stuff as I did. Leaving this one I was scratching at all the mozzie bites I gained, but I suppose it deserves me right for the approach I took
Today's geo-outing with Mumma-Kel brought us down the M1 to North Rocks (or maybe it should it be called Old Man Emu Land), an area that is home to a cluster of caches but one that neither of us has previously tackled, other than to grab the odd drive by cache.
Here, we initially looked in the more obvious places, but both our phones kept pointing us towards the creek. Despite my saying to her that down there is not T1.5 territory, she headed down there anyway ... and just as well, because she caught sight of the cache in a location at my level in a place that I had checked previously, but positioned in such way that it was obscured from my view, at least from the angle I looked from. I retrieved the cache and then logged our find while Mumma-Kel made her way back to terra firma from the depths of the creek. Thanks for another nice hide Old Man Emu, and for the smiley.

There you are. As expected last time. Brought the geokids (Zonic and Lachnic) along for this one, but the log was moldy too damp to sign...especially with a biro, but you can see the hole the point made. I had a spare log, but noting to protect it from the wet...
found my first geocache! don't think it was is in original resting place though as was simply lying on the ground. no pen on hand to put name on log though but fun all the same!
Well that was a bit easier than I made it for myself last time. I had got out of my work shoes and was ready to go exploring closer to the creek when something caught my eye. AHA!

We headed out for some couple caching after dropping the geoson at daycare.
This cache was a simple find and we had no trouble finding it at all. Upon retriving the cache we found that the log sheet was starting to develop mould and could use replacement.
We fliped a heads and rolled a 5.
Replaced cache and on our way.

After DNF I went to check. Swept away in the rain last week it seems and creek is full of bottles and cans. Will replace and set back in play in the next week.
phlphotos had been here and knew exactly what to find...but it wasn't there. Unless this has changed or been relocated, it is missing.
Nice quick & easy find! Decided to go exploring anyway after noting the ratings and figuring out where it would be hidden based on that. Turned the T rating into a T3+ by climbing down & walking through the pipe. Found a few places I would've tucked it away in there TFTC
Couldnt find it this time round, next time for sure! And i wont wear a dress so my legs wont get scored by stray branches again =)
We managed to find most of the others we went for in the area today, but this one had us stumped. I know nothing of he songs so that didn't help us either. I am sure it is still there, but we certainly couldn't put our hands on it. Thanks anyway.
#1991 (1 of 2 today)
Family duties kept me occupied until after 4pm today, so it was a late dash out for a park and grab (or two) before other required duties called.
After grabbing one I tossed up whether to go for the other nearby. Yeah, I guess I can afford to, I have a little wiggle room left before #2000...
END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION
Well after my previous DNF I was contacted by the CO advising that it was, indeed, still there for the finding, and ipso facto that I was, indeed, blind.
So a little while ago when I was driving nearby (ie from North Rocks MegaMall) I passed by here for a quick look - and spotted it straight away.
Typical.
I decided to leave it for a day I needed a quick find close to home. That day is today.
No search required on this occasion. After parking The Family Chariot nearby, I walked up to it, grabbed and took away to complete signing duties. Spelled LOAM from the four letter cubes. Only other word I'm aware of with those letters is MOLA - a sunfish.
No coin to toss or dice to roll that I saw.
Replaced and then decided, since my next appointment had been put back 30 minutes I'd go one more.

Streak day #15. Find 6/7 while out on a night geocaching adventure with DarkAvengerx collecting our 200th/5th finds.

Had time for a couple this morning. This was the second.
I wasn't sure where to start looking here, but the T rating made life easier.
Thanks for the hide.

After being in France for 6 weeks and a few "no finds" I visited the cache today. It is still there. Autumn has meant a bit more camo has fallen on it. I still consider the terrain of 1.5 is fine. No need to go down into the abyss.
Busy day, so only going for one find today, and that close to home - well it would have been further away but I left my caching gear at home when I raced out early, so had to come home & go out again.
END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION
Decided on this one - the most remote Old Man Emu placement I have still to find.
Hmmm, 1.5 terrain, size small...
Couldn't spot anything, so went down into decidedly higher terrain territory to see if I could spot anything. Nope.
There were other places I might have checked, but of a higher terrain than I was willing to try today. So I left it.

If it wasn't for the terrain rating I might have ended up too low. Arrived and made the find soon after. SL and replaced. TFTC.
Drove here from Spirit Road and had a quick look around, could not find immediately and the hint did not make much sense.
Searched a little more and finally spotted it. Still can't figure out the significance of the hint. Word I chose was a nice easy one ... CLAMS.
Was just signing when down the path comes JMax again! Fancy that! Gave directions on the re-hide - Thanks guys!
Bumping into other cachers twice in a day is pretty unusual for me.
Thanks for the cache!

This time Jimmy Luxury made our job easy. With the advantage of four wheels, while we just had four legs, he'd beaten us to the cache and was completing the signing duties as we arrived. I'd only commented to GH earlier that it had been ages since I'd run into another cacher at a cache, and now twice in one day! Returned cache as instructed.
TFTC and bring us into this little valley.

Took longer than it should have to put my hands on this one, I saw the spot when I first arrived but for some reason checked various other hiding places first. Should have grabbed it straight away after waiting for a muggle over the road to put the bins out. Thanks Old Man Emu.
My GPSr wanted me down near the creek, but that just didn't relate to the D/T ratings. In the end I found it laying in the open, so I placed it back where a former finder told me where they had found it.
Today it would have been about 7m SSW from where my GPSr wanted me.

I got a frantic message from snoopy that her streak was over as early today we had 2 DNF's in the Penrith area and I lost all life in my phone and we were getting a bit over things, so we left it up to the newbie (new in our caching group) to pick the nearest cache we could all do. Of course he picked one he and I hadn't done but as it turned out snoopy had already found it but didn't realise until we had all return to our homes. We looked for a cache that would take us both equal travel time to get to that looked doable. Hence the reason we ended up here late at night. I found the cache out in the open, not attached to anything but obviously was supposed to be. We couldn't work out the hide so we left it under some camo. SL #1953 on streak day #1034 TFTC
Streak Day #663 - After being all the way out in Penrith, i realised when i got home that the cache we did as a group i had already done so sms'd ris768 and told her i was in dire straights and needed to head out again to find a cache, came to this one as it was a nice easy one...may need to be checked as it was out in the open and appeared it should have been attached to something. Next one in this series today after "Rockin' In The Free World". A very topical cache after all the rain we've had these past weeks, but thankfully today is dry. I tried a couple of areas before spotting the container. Now to finish off at "Ambulance Blues". TFTC.

I had just pulled up here and gone to what I thought was GZ without spotting anything when Mr MR pulled up and we had a chat before he spotted something suspicious and made the find. We both signed and he replaced it where it was but it didn't look quite right. Anyway it's still there for the next finder.
Thanks!
Thanks!
This was not one of the caches I planned to attempt today. In fact, I didn’t realise there was a fifth Old Man Emu hide until I checked my phone at “GrandPa's Interview”.
As I arrived at GZ, I spotted a shadowy figure lurking in the bushes. I soon recognised this to be Yurt. We quickly made the find but wondered whether it had strayed as its placement seemed a bit random and a certain attachment had no real function. After replacing the cache as found we continued our chat for a while then went on our respective ways.
Thanks for the caches Old Man Emu.

In our neighbourhood and a gap in the rain so off we set with Geosons on bikes.
A gang of muggle kids were playing and asked our boys if they wanted to play. So we asked if they wanted to do a treasure hunt with us. They said that had wondered why so many people were turning up and looking in one particular area today. Muggles no more!

My second cache find from this CO, and yet found it while it was raining! Hope this isn't an ongoing theme.

#213 Got here just as it started to rain no one around. Parked on the other side from what MC parked only had a short walk to GZ. Not where I was expecting it to be going off the previous locations. Like MC it took a while to extract the log one of the neighbours drove past with a removal truck while I was trying to get the log out. Signed log and put log in last. Thanks for bringing me to one of my old haunts
FTF @ 2.40, third FTF and had a challenge attached to this one.
Parked on the street behind the hide with approx 70m to GZ. Upon approach, Noticed a gent working in his backyard on the fence, he has expanded his yard with a trampoline over his back fence.
Close to GZ, I see a sheet metal worker loading up his trailer in the property directly opposite, a man walking up towards me, a woman jogger and a suspect man on the other side of the creek gardening.
I checked the two items that might hold a hide, like on the CO's new other trads.
Then I see something odd, so I decide to sit on the log to out wait the jogger and gent walker.
Everything seemed clear, as clear as it could be, I sneaked in. I grabbed the goods and noticed the gardener walking towards me, can't seem to get, the, log roll, out, fast, enough! Ahh, finally, turned around to see its Rhenaes. Man, I thought I would be explaining myself too. By now, the sheet metal worker had disappeared back inside the premises as he was still packing up.
With my glasses on and resting the pen behind my ear, nearly had a huge kerfuffle.
Rhenaes, can I use your pen? Where did I place mine? Signed log for both of us for a joint find. Fed the local mozzie population while we chatted all things caching. While loosing blood, realised where my pen was, Rheneas didn't pick up on it.

Nice one Old Man Emu,
Saw this cache published and was not far away searching for another cache. Using the GPS to navigate to GZ took me the long scenic route, and when I arrived my stupid GPSr seemed to be confused, claiming GZ to be about 30m away from where the cache was eventually found. After a bit of poking around I reviewed the difficult & terrain rating and decided to expand the search to match the rating, when I spied a suspicious looking character crouched down attending to something. I couldn't quite make out who it was until they stood up and turned around... Martin cousins with the cache! It seems parking at the far end of the park and walking towards GZ from that direction makes the cache easier to spot. I lent my pen to him and allowed him sign us both in the log. Nice guy that he is, allowed me to share the {*FTF*} SL and had a bit of a yarn before continuing on my way. TFTC Old Man Emu!
