We are on a caravanning trip around Australia seeing the sights and finding a few caches along the way. We stopped in town and after visiting the information centre, a museum and having a bite toneat we got the bikes out and went for a ride. We zig zagged through lots of tracks and roads to get this one. Eddie was spotted and nicely tucked in. Thanks for the cache.
Well if that isnt one of the best Geocaches we have ever found! That was some fun to explore and scramble and search! We loved the track and the adventure and the end result was so worth it! Thanks for your effort and time into a cool cache!
TFTC found with Crack n Lee Lee. Stayed a few days in Jindabyne now off to the Mega in Canberra . Great hide, a definite favourite

Eddie was very comfortable when I paid a visit. If he'd called out I would have found him quicker!
Eddie was dry despite the interestingly saturated conditions. We made the wise call to park out on the main road and walk in - otherwise it would have been a call to the NRMA. No head torch required for this cave. Someone had an epic 4WD play here. TFTC!
Thanks Eddie! Even though it was raining was still dry for Eddie. Loved your little sanctuary mate. Go well. TFTC
Another very cool location and a fun hide.. let travel bug...l shall endeavour to return for a longer hike
After camping at Tantangra for a few nights (having to move camp at the end due to high winds) it was time to move onward to Bermagui for the rest of our annual fishing trip. Grabbed a few more caches along the way. Very cool containter!TFTC!
Well Eddie survived the winter just found the little fella, good job and tftc
Drive down to GZ here, a very overgrown location but after a bush bash made it to GZ, the cache was nicely hidden and is all good
Day 6 of Courtneyrose_ and I’s trip from Adelaide to Sydney, today we headed from Cooma to Batemans Bay via Bega. After caching around Cooma in the morning before our event it was Was interesting to go from country highlands to the coast after being inland for the whole trip.
Thanks for the cache

Great spot. In town for the afternoon for a function so took the opportunity for a short wander up the hill first. Enjoyed the tranquillity of the nearby water trickling away merrily on a lovely autumn afternoon. Also thoroughly enjoyed Eddie. Quickly found and then back into his hidey-hole. TFTC and gets a fav from me.
Day 8 of our 2 week road trip south from Brisbane. After overcoming floods, a bogged car and vehicle electrical issues, we finally reached Canberra to spend a few days with relatives and explore some of the newer virtual and earth caches since my last visit. It was then time to continue the journey south towards the Snowy Mountains.
I was up at 6.30am to head out for a walk while my wife had a sleep in. It was a chilly start to the day at -1°, with a heavy frost. I had to head back inside for some warm water to dissolve the ice covering my windscreen.
After finding some of the other caches in the area including a walk up to Ayers Rock and beyond, I headed out to this cache on the way back to the car. Wasn't sure if there was an easy way to GZ so just headed the direct route cross country. Plenty of places here for Eddie to set up home around here and it took me some time searching the various nooks and crannies before I found him safely tucked away.
Back at the car the dramas that had plagued the trip so far decided to raise their head again. This time I could not get the key fob to unlock the car as the battery must have gotten too cold to work. I though I was ok as there is a built in key but upon using that it unlocked the car but set off the alarm which rang out to wake up all and sundry. I managed to get the battery out of the fob and give it a rub to warm it up which thankfully worked and killed the incessant blaring of the alarm. Not the most relaxing start to the morning. TFTC

I think I must have approached from the wrong direction, as I bush bashed to GZ.
I soon found Eddie, resting in his cosy house. We had a chat and I signed his log.
Thanks Tarbear22, nicely done. A fav point for Eddie.

Fell over on the clay track, hacked through the blueberry bushes, got rained on and got a smiie. Now back to camp to watch the cricket.
What a bush adventure!! Did wish I was wearing some pants! Tftc!
I couldn't find any flag points mentioned by CO but eventually ended up getting to where needed, the coords weren't very precise for me so below I will put some alternative coords if anyone is having trouble.
I think it was luck I looked into this specific direction and found something that looked out of place.
On my adventures I stumbled across cherry plus tree with many fruits on it. Lunch sorted. I miss those cherry plums shame they aren't popular on Australian market.

Out with Tankengine for a trip to Cooma.
We had actually planned to come out this way today anyway, but seeing the new caches out this way still hadn't been found, we decided to leave a little earlier than first thought. Which worked out really well in the end as we got home earlier to be able to attend to our families needs and wants.
Well that's just too cute and very appropriate to be out here. Eddie and Baby Groot got on like a house on fire. Tftc Tarbear22!!!

Wasn't game to drive the car down to the cave...so went for a little walk in the drizzle to find Eddie nice and warm. He wasn't making room for us to get out of the rain though! TFTC!

Was a nice walk to find this cache as we teamed up with JozMoz! At first we were scared when finding the cache but it was super fun and would recommend
Found with The Matetrix
With The Matetrix’s final soccer game for the season scheduled in Cooma, took the opportunity to make a few finds along the way. A warm and sunny day, it only got better as it went on. It was first (TM) vs second (C) on the ladder, the victor taking the title. Long story short, TM won with a smashing 8-1 win.
Left home around 11.00am and headed South along the Monaro. Pulled up at the entry gate for the short drive across to ‘Rosedale Railway’. Took a few minutes to locate GZ, but signed the log without issue. Went for a climb up to the track, and probably across a little too far along the bridge. It looked sturdy, enough. Down we climbed and the bumpy return back to the highway. Only an 8 minute drive to Bredbo for a cosy lunch time event at the Bredbo Inn. Arrived at around the planned ETA, a small number already sitting comfortably and tucking into a variety delicious pub grub. Ordered an amber fluid and settled down for a meet and great. Unfortunately time was pressing, TMs kick off just after 1pm. Downed the beer, thanked all present for the company and headed outside. Oh yes, a quick tip for ‘Man from Snowy River Bredbo Inn’, damn, should of found it before buying the pale ale. Oh well, next time.
Approaching the green and well maintained fields for the impending clash, we still had a few minutes to spare. Side tracked towards ‘Duck Duck Goat’, which after a bit of scramble was found with a pleasant smile. No wiggly sticks spotted, but I’m sure they’re not to far away. The day warming up nicely, I’m sure some sunbathing will soon be a common sight.
Back at the game, and as advised earlier a comfortable and solid victory. I must admit, the first half was the best they’ve played all season and it was a most deserved championship success. After the game it was a late lunch at a local café on the main street. Business wasn’t exactly booming at this time, but that quickly changed with the 20 odd hungry stomachs marching through the door. Again some good food was served, I recommend the chicken schnitzel burger and a ginger beer. A play in the park after all was downed, as I did as a kid whenever we passed through town on the way to the snow. With the match events now concluded the team slowly peeled off headed home. The Raiders game televised on the box tonight, some eager fans keen to watch yet another victory (as it turned out).
A few hours of sunlight still remaining, why waste it driving directly home. Headed out of town and up the twisting Mt Gladstone lookout road. A little windy at the top but some great views back down and around. We weren’t here for those though, just the two caches ‘Heidi Ho’ and ‘South Gladdy’. Both didn’t take long, and we were soon heading back down the hill (mountain).
Yes, a little more sunlight left, so in turning back towards Canberra, pulled over for two final hides, ‘JoeyLoves Treasure Pot’ and ‘ Eddie’s winter home!’. Sweet and simple, logs signed, we returned to the geomobile and drove without a stop arriving home just after 7pm, with dinner just about ready I might add. Great timing!
Thanks to all the CO’s for the hides and maintenance, TM’s soccer coach for the season and the geowife for the warm welcome home.
No issues with any of the caches found today. TNLNSL TFTC

My second of a 9 day caching road-trip holiday. After turning early last night, I woke up unfortunately very early this morning. Far colder than I was expecting when I started my morning caching before breakfast.
Another cool cache camo here.
Today I headed West through Kosciuszko NP, A fun drive but with fewer caches than yesterday.
Thanks for the caches.

Travelling from Canberra to Bermagui. Stopped here for something to eat. Had DNF on one, but found this one. Loved the scrumpy apples nearby. Loved the camo. Spoilt by some foul language by a person walking dogs on the track

We came across your cache, Tarbear22, on our geocaching holiday in Canberra.
On our way back to Canberra after scaling Mt. Kosciusko and feciding to have dinner in Cooma. Still some daylight and we passed by some delicious apples on rhe way in. Pity the pears weren't ripe!
Log signed and replaced at 6:29 pm on 10 March 2018. TFTC.

Cute one!!!
I'm off to Cooma today. I've dropped my lady at work, and now, after a bit of cleaning up and washing clothes, I'm showered, my GeoSchnauzers and her GeoCavoodles are loaded, together with water, and we are off and running. We've pulled into Cooma with probably not too much caching time, and, after consulting logs, decided to go with this one fifth up. I'm skipping the ones that are probably missing. For this one, I unloaded all the GeoDogs at the walk entrance, and then we fronted up to GZ. Thanks for the cache, and have a favorite point.

Picking up passengers at Kiandra who were walking there from Thredbo. On the way to Kiandra decided to try for a few caches. TFTC.
This is our fourth trip to the northern island this year. The first three were primarily for family events but with some opportunities to do some caching along the way. The fourth trip is different as caching is our focus. After getting off The Spirit of Tasmania we are heading north to cache at Wangaratta and then Yass before heading into the ACT and Queanbeyan for a week. After that we will travel to Jindabyne for a few days with summiting Mount Kosciuszko being our main target for this part of our trip. Then we will visit Cooma and Tumut before heading back down the track through Wangaratta and Mansfield as we make our way to Alexandra for the MEGA. After the weekend we will continue to make our way south and back onto the Spirit of Tasmania for the “drive” across Bass Strait. We are really looking forward to three weeks of intense caching in great areas and, hopefully, catching up with some geocachers in each of the areas we will visit.
After getting to the top of Mount Kosciuszko yesterday, we were feeling rather sluggish today. Hence we decided to make this a much easier day by driving to different locations and caching within short distances of the car. Initially we went to Perisher Valley and Charlottes Pass mainly to see the areas as there were very few caches. Then we came back to Jindabyne before heading back to Thredbo. Yesterday we ran out of time and energy to look for the caches in Thredbo Village so our return today was to try to find those caches. Whilst we were there was an intense thunderstorm with fork lightning, accompanied by quite heavy rain, which started about midday – we were glad that we went to Mount Kosciuszko yesterday rather than leaving it today. We then came back to Jindabyne to look for a few caches in the area. It was mid afternoon and we decided to head off to Cooma to find some other caches that we missed when we came through the town on Saturday. That means that we will not have to go back into Cooma tomorrow as we head from Jindabyne to Tumut tomorrow.
The heavy rain experienced further south had bypassed this area and it was a pleasure to be walking to caches in Cooma without rain coats. Despite accurate coordinates and the hint, it took a little while to locate this novel cache container among the many possible hiding spots in the immediate area. The great cache container and contents were in good condition. Congratulations Tarbear22 on an excellent first hide, and thanks for this particular cache. It earns a favourite from us.
***** We are currently writing detailed logs because of a challenge provided by Project-GC. "The Author" Badge challenges geocachers to average one hundred words or more in each log. On 1 September 2017 our average was 86 which seems close to the 100 target. However given that we have found so many GC caches, we have to write many logs with well over 100 words for a long period of time to get our average to the target. Apologies to anyone who finds the logs tedious but it is the only way that we can strive to attain this challenge. After 408 caches (which includes all cache finds up and including yesterday), the average log length is just over 96.5. We are now entertaining the possibility that we might be able to achieve our gaol before this trip ends. Progress has been better than anticipated.*****

Clambering over rocks in the snow. DSD yelled rude words when he put his hand in the cave. Very cute TFTC
Took a few goes to find the correct road in. GPS had me down a few driveways.
Finally found the right path and the cache. Good spot for a walk and love the cache. Favourite point for me. Thanks for the cache.

Found this one today as it fills a hole in our 'hidden date calendar'. It also sounded a bit interesting & didn't disappoint. Definitely worth a favourite. Thanks Tarbear22. Appreciate the extra effort. That's what good caches are about.
Such a pleasant short bush walk, with the bonus of coming across an echidna on the side of the track. I was on the lookout for snakes so the rustling gave me a bit of a fright. And then at GZ another little surprise caught Mr Winglen off guard!! Thanks for a fun hide.
10449. One of many finds on a nice Good Friday caching run with Sol de Lune.
With several days available to go caching this long weekend SDL and I - after attending the Event in town - headed south to Cooma for todays run. This was the next stop for us, and the ninth and last of nine finds in Cooma itself. Parked nearby and after a short walk along the track we went bush and made the slightly startling find ! Signed, returned, and we were off to the next one.
Thanks again tarbear22 !! Enjoyed your caches today !

Thanks tarbear22.....been a fun few hours in your neck of the woods. Hope to come back for more future finds.

#2842 - Found on a hot, dry day. Took quite a while, seems to be about 5 metres to the south of co-ords. But what a surprise, and a big laugh...Worthy of a favourite point. Many thanks to the cache owner *tarbear22* for another local cache, it's establishment and maintenance.
Day three of our High Country holiday. Staying at Jindabyne and drove to Cooma.
A lovely days caching, with some great spots to visit, and all caches in good condition.
Eddie has certainly picked a good spot here - fresh water in the brook, fresh apples in the trees, a nice dry cave to snuggle into. What more could he ask for?
A few blackberry bushes are growing up, but not near GZ yet.
A nice walk, and a very cute cache.
Thanks, Robmc.

# 9909. Robmc and I are staying at Jindabyne but we decided to spend a day caching around Cooma as it was forecast to be a couple of degrees warmer. We had a wonderful day, finding a lot of cute caches and visiting some interesting and scenic places. It was so nice that all caches were in good condition.
I did so enjoy this cache. A beautiful walk down the muddy track past red hot pokers? until we turned off and went bush looking for Eddie. We jumped across the water and headed uphill. Water babbling and well-established trees and granite rocks. A most delightful place with the water pools etc. I could have sat here for a long time but this was not to be - Rob was off and racing, didn't even want to take the scenic route back.
I loved Eddie and the good-sized cache. I left some SWAG and also 6 Origami Envelopes suitable for pathtag or geocoin gifts etc. Oh and a favourite point too.
Thanks tarbear22

I was planning to head out to the coast this Australia Day, but the weather forecast was not promising. So this morning I thought about likely destinations and considered Cooma. I've always liked Cooma and it's Art Deco buildings. I took a few pics and generally had a good time collecting the local caches. An afternoon thunderstorm called a halt to the search.
Last one for the day as the thunder is growing more ominous, but no quick find. I eventually located it and was very impressed with it.
Thanks for the cache tarbear22.
