Sadly it is time for this series to be put to bed. I had fun making the puzzles and putting the series out there all those years ago, and it was the first serious bit of geoart in Western Australia. The maintenance has been on thankless task though, so au revoir WAGB Arrow.
My first find today. Was supposed to do the Jarrahwood car series but forgot to download the list Offline, so ended up here instead!
Sorry for the late log. I was away on a girls weekend with ICnothing, Kapelula and meme28. Thank goodness I was in good company of those who have much better success at nutting out puzzles. We worked as a team throughout the weekend and signed the log as KAMEINGT. Thanks to all for putting together the puzzles and hides.
After thoroughly reading about Geocaching Etiquette I soon realised what was needed to be done to extract the co-ordinates.
It’s nice to back in the area collecting smileys for the puzzles, solved but not found from WAGB 2018. Thanks for the puzzles and series!
Found whilst out on an extended weekend road trip to Busselton, Dunsborough and surrounds with I C Nothing, Meme28 and geotrakka. Signed log as KAMEINGT.

Finally our girls weekend has arrived Kapelula, Meme28, Geotrekka and I C Nothing are heading south with four full days of caching to celebrate some birthdays and geo milestones. We have been puzzling like crazy in preparation so our aim is to find those caches and everything else that takes our fancy. Maybe even a challenge or two. Signed log as Kameingt.

Another smiley for the weekend after signing the log!

I am currently visiting WA from Adelaide for a few weeks, travelling mostly around the southwest, exploring, visiting friends and family and finding a few caches along the way.
I spent the night camped outside Capel, with the WAGB Arrow series of puzzles my main aim for the day.
I had all of them solved prior to leaving Adelaide in preparation for the trip. I had done a few of them in my last trip to the area a couple of years ago, but didn’t have time for the rest at that time.
I had mixed success with this series today. There was quite a bit of spring growth and the grass and undergrowth was thick and high in places, making some caches difficult to find. In other cases the coordinates also seemed a little out. I ended up finding 25 of the 34 I searched for today, and had 9 DNFs. In the end it became fairly obvious which caches were either probably missing or going to be difficult to find by looking at which caches the most recent finders of the other caches had not logged, although I did manage to turn up a couple of those too.
Thanks WA_Puzzler for the puzzle and the cache.

We had some time to solve some puzzles yesterday, so Struep and me got our reward today ️
We knew the rules before but to read again in detail from time to time is surely a good idea
Thanks,

We loved the challenge of solving the puzzle. Coordinates and our GPS were good enough to ensure a timely find.

Despite the overcast weather it was a nice morning out.

Day 3 of our Down south Week for WAGB 2018. Our morning was spent sorting out some arrows from the 2015 WAGB event.
Had a huge morning going from cache to cache and saw a number of other teams out there collecting caches in the countryside which was most enjoyable.
Nice to find them all so a special thanks to the CO for their recent maintenance run. Thanks.

Set out to find and sign the logs on the arrow series as we had solved the puzzles before coming down . Out and about with Lazarus we met up with Barnzy12 and Cravo10 to find the series together. We started at number 4 and basically went around clockwise. Most of the caches were found without any trouble however a few led us on a merry dance and took a while to find. While out caching we met up with a few other teams completing the series at the same time.
Solved this a very long time ago, but convenient to find whilst attending WA Goes BIG Event.
Out with hhheddy, Barnzy12 & Cravo10. Bumped into other teams visiting from interstate.
Thank you for this series!!

Found by Mary & David at 1342. A very new calf opposite, still wobbly on its legs. Our thanks to WA_Puzzler.
We have been trying since the first WA Goes Big event back in 2013 to attend one of these events and the stars haven't aligned to enable us to do that. All looked good for this year until a Airshow in Jamestown SA required Mr Crackers attendance and again it looked like we were going to be a no show.
Fortunately thanks to the kindness of maccamob who are to be chauffer's for Mrs Crackers for the next week were here looking forward to the weekend's festivities.
We had looked at solving these puzzles a couple of months ago and had slowly worked our way through them finding that some were easy to solve and others were not but in the end we had managed to sort them all out.
The decision was made to do this series today and we are happy to say that we managed to locate all 40, some were quick finds but quite a few of them had us searching for quite awhile
before we were able to add our names to the log.
As we were signing the log we saw a mother and her very new born calf, mum wasn't happy that we were the and tried to lead us away.
Thanks for setting all these up and for the cache maintenance run which meant we had a very enjoyable time looking for these enjoying both the scenery and the wild flowers as we drove through the countryside.

Nice wee spot here and all in great order. Thanks for the series of puzzles caches and maintenance.
Off to Busselton for a 2 day caching trip and the Arrow series in our sights. All puzzles solved over the last few months and hoping to track them down today.

Today was a beautiful day to be out caching, but also a great day for a bit of geocache maintenance. We packed up the car with all the necessaries and headed southwards, not realizing until down here that we'd left our printouts of the Arrow finals at home. Oh well, the trusty older Garmin still had all the gzs in its memory, so all good in the end. All of the caches were found safe and sound except for two, which have now been replaced. All the others have had a bit of a cleanup with new baggies and updated WA_Puzzler logbooks. Thanks to all of those cachers who have already solved and found the caches in this series and acknowledged in their online logs the effort that goes into creating, placing and maintaining all of them for others enjoyment. We will enjoy reading all the old paper logs that have been retrieved too. For those of you yet to solve the puzzles, please give us a yell if you want any guidance along the way.
Down South for a break so solved as many puzzles as I could. Now time to collect them. Tftc.
Made my way down here today to get some points for the Planetary Pursuit game that's on at the moment. Got 16 finds and 2 DNF's before I had had enough for one day.
Today, the-shredder, pingu_k and me started to get all the arrows. After the first hours we accepted that we can't do all in one day and decided to split the round.
So we did the first part.
Most of them were easy and quick, but a few we had to search a bit longer.
Thanks for all the nice puzzles, Skyryser!

Yay! Another one done.
At first I didn't know how to tackle this one so thought I'd just leave it on the back burner for a while. And after a while an idea popped into my head and when I ran with it, it all made sense.
With a green light from the checker all I need to do is find some time to go log a find
I really enjoyed reading all the do's and don'ts and found myself totally agreeing with them all.

Finally a tour with The-Shredder and skyryser again! After so long time of separation. Thanks to The-Shredder and skyryser, who solved most of the puzzles! During our Tour through WA we tried to find most of the 40 arrow. Due to less time we only managed some of them. Had a lot of fun! TFTC
I took my daughter out to Simmo's for afternoon icecream and we decided to let Mum sleep at home a bit longer, so we took this big detour out here to find this cache. I love the countryside out here. TFTC West Oz Geocaching
Over for the WAGB17 event and spending a few days in Busselton before heading up to Rockingham. Spent most of the day searching for the Arrow caches as well as admiring the beautiful countryside. Weather was great for caching also. Thanks West Oz Geocaching for this series.
A beautiful day to go and turn some more of the arrow puzzles into smileys. TFTC for all the puzzles and hard work West Oz Geocaching. tnln
Hi there West Oz Geocaching. We found your cache **"Arrow 15" **at 11:21:00 AM today.
This was our 13th cache find in a caching run of 34 Finds & 2 DNFs today. (So this now makes our find count 15419.)
Today's plan was to finish the WAGB Arrow series, For the most part we enjoyed the cache run, but flies, spiders and bush bashing through scrub made life a little difficult at times. We found quite a variety of cache sizes, hides and difficulty ratings. Most of the caches were where the GPS said we should be looking, but some took a little time to find - which we did after widening our search area somewhat
**Coordinate Accuracy:** Most caches were within 2 metres, but some left us wondering a little.
**Cache Condition:** The majority of caches were in good condition, but some were found to be damp inside. .
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A smiley badge if the container was large enough.
**Thanks for the hunt today,**
Regards
Ian & Penny.

I was on my way to Margaret River for the Tour of Margaret River cycling race, and had some time for caching on the way down. It had been raining earlier, but it had cleared up now.
I have been solving these puzzles for a long time, and wanted to attack them all in one go, but decided to just make a start on finding them anyway.
This was an interesting and fun puzzle, and I was happy to make a quick find at GZ as well.
Thanks for the cache West Oz Geocaching!

Whilst researching puzzle solving I heard about this type of puzzle. Quickly had the answer solved and likewise at GZ. TFTC.
Good little explanation on geocaching etiquette with a puzzle thrown in! Thanks for the cache!
Came down to Busselton with MNS13 (Birthday girl) and her 2 boys to tackle the Arrows.
Weather was rain and drizzle to start with but then fined up for the rest of the day.
Most were quick finds with a few more trickier hides.
Only 2 dnfs for the day so overall it was a great day.
Posts will be cut n paste unless something eventful happened.
Another one I hadn't checked with checker so conceded a DNF. Decided to check later with checker and saw I was incorrect so rang a previous finder to see what I had done wrong and it turned out I had 1 digit wrong which caused me to be about 1km out. After the correct co ords were entered the cache was quickly found.

Tftc great day out with grenne11 , baconfamily33, geogranny and all the geo kids all caches in good condition and nice easy finds for the kids to get involved. Seen emu baby cows and lots of other animals fun day. We found all 17 that we had solved today now to go back and start working out the others and planning another day trip.
We have finally solved enough puzzles to make it worth our while to search for them. It was a great morning out with Baconfamily33 and Blaze169 and all the geokiddies.
All caches were in great condition and there were some sneaky hides mixed in there.
Thanks for all the effort

Out caching with Geo parents (aka Heidiseeki) after solving about half of these puzzles. Great being down here over the Easter weekend and getting a few smilies. These were all wicked puzzles (as in evil!!!), but all the more satisfying to be able to log them as FOUND!!
Out with Geodaughter, Acachea, having solved some of the Arrow series. Obviously the first ones sought were the easiest to solve, at least to our mind. Combined effort resulted in a find on a lovely Easter Sunday. All good. . Ah the country. 28s, New Holland Honeyeaters and heaps of bovines enjoying the beautiful day. Thanks for the cache and the series
You know, WestOz, you're very clever at putting some puzzles together, & this is a grand example! Very ingenious - well done!!! Enjoying the company of the cows, horses and the occasional emu and kangaroo!
Geobrother was given this puzzle to solve as he needed to learn some more etiquette when it comes to geocaching. He solved the puzzle easily though and we had no problems finding the cache. At this point I'm starting to tell fellow travelers that we should have mapped out all the solved coords for the series as im sure we are going to have to back track. Thanks for the hide.
This puzzle taught me a lot. When something seems strange, it possibly means that it has something to do with the answer. Hope those who still need to solve this puzzle and others, push through the pain barrier, because doing a series like this is great. Thanks for the series.

Having solved all but 3 of the Arrow puzzles we decided to head south today for a serious Sioux attack! It was a pleasant day reaching 30 at its peak & we were satisfied with our haul although a few did manage to escape capture by employing diverse tactics such as hiding behind wasp nests. This means that there will have to be a follow up scouting party in the not too distant future. TFTC
My bad!! Have fallen so far behind in logging my finds - puzzles have taken over my life at the moment, but there is light at the end of the tunnel. Came down for another maintenance run on the WAGB Arrow series, so happily am able to claim a smiley face for this one.
Headed out on a caching trip to Busselton with Roma308 and Mistraluna in order to grab some of the WAGB Arrow Mysteries and do some caching around Busselton itself. Unfortunately we didn't get them all solved in time so we have to return some other time to grab the remaining 8. However, it was a fantastic day out with friends and family!
Looked at this puzzle, was thinking ?????? , put it away, took it out again, thinking ?????, repeat, then suddenly I had an aha moment by researching futher and paying more attention. Definitely taught me the lession to pay more active attention on what I actually read! Also compliments to Evelyn for picking up the topic of Geocaching Etiquette! Especially as we have more often than not seen geocaching etiquette go out of the window these days!

I decided to come out here today and try to track down a couple of these 'WAGB Arrows' or 'Wag Barrows' as I call them. I can't remember which find belonged to which listing, so I will just write generic logs.
Most caches were found under 5 minutes with the odd one taking about 10 mins. Thanks for varying the containers to make it that little bit more difficult. I enjoyed solving the puzzles and the Geo-Art is really cool.
West Oz Geocaching, I found your cache ‘WAGB Arrow 15’ today. It was the fifth of eight finds and brings my total count to 377. The cache was found in a good condition so I signed the log book and replaced it as I found it. Thanks for the hide.

We are down for another nice visit to the Southwest and found a few more of these lovely puzzle caches TFTC A bit hard to grab hold of!
Out and about (FINALLY) with Skippy46 and the kids to do the arrow series.
It was a bit cold and grey when we started out, but we didnt get too wet.
We had a pretty good day, only 2 DNF's between us. Most caches we found with ease, a few took a little longer than expected.
Thanks for the series.
Where small containers were provided i left behind some tags for the next finders.

After spending the last few months puzzling over this series it was most rewarding to finally get down south and turn them into smiley faces. I had hoped to have them all solved but sadly there is still one on the drawing board.
Sure is some good advice here - be great if we all took it to heart! There's a few bugbears of mine amongst them. A large and very interested audience oversaw the finding of this one.

Thanks for setting up all these cache WestOZ Geocaching group for setting up these caches. Driving out to Nannup today I thought I'd take a little detour to a cache that I've worked out. This is the second visit for me to this spot the first time was a night time FTF search looking everywhere but where the cache was. Today in the daylight I found the cache in minutes. Kicking myself for not being ftf to find the coordinates are spot on. Thanks for the hide.

Teamed up with wellsy21 to attempt to grab half of the WAGB Arrow caches. Before we got there, we found some other caches in the Busselton, Vasse and Carbunup River area first. We had a good day out in the area and picked up a total of 18 with 2 DNFs. Apologies for the repeated log, but some of these caches were difficult to differentiate from each other. Congratulations on a very successful WA Goes Big and massive thanks to West Oz Geocaching on the publishing of these caches. TFTC!
Leading up to the WAGB event we had put our heads together to solve some of those puzzles. We managed quite a few and went our early this Monday morning to log as many as we could. The kids started off great, enjoying a bit of bushwalking, the old railway tracks we came across and the experience of "treasure hunting". Eventually, they got hungry and impatient, so we had to abandon a number of hides that we couldn't find quickly in favor of the ones that we could locate within a few minutes. We will be back to log those ones and whatever we can solve in the meantime. We really enjoyed the variety of this series, both in puzzles and hides. Great work!
You know you are out puzzled when you can't remember that it was you solving this puzzle. Thanks hubby:-) Nicely done and very reassuring that I'm not committing a crime:-)

Sunday post the WA Goes Big Event and finally some time to grab some of the Arrow series we had solved. Started late in the afternoon and met FelixII as they were rapping up for the day. Eventually ran out of light so will need to come back another day to continue the series, hopefully with a few more solved as well. We are really enjoying this series and the variation of puzzles involved.

Well.....where to start, when these puzzles first got released I was pumped for the good learning curve. Solved the first 20 in no time then it started to fade as the harder 20 was released. I will be back again to find the last 12 that I missed out from. A BIG THANKS to Evelyn for constructing this great series and all the work that has gone into this.

The only cachers we met while driving these backroads was a car load of Family Steiner and Orrsome Family. It was the only time MDV looked relieved to have me in the car! The doors flung open and kids and mothers went flying. With yelling to kids to stay near the car, there were kids out the windows and kids on the roof. MDV was in shock and I don't except there'll be any mini K.B./MDV's in the future (spare the thought!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)! Great to cross paths with the whirlwind enthusiasm of these two teams. Thanks for the cache.
After spending the morning at the WAGB Geo event, and listening to some excellent presentations
it was soon time to tackle a good portion of the Arrow Puzzles, that some crafty committee member had put so much time and effort into creating and placing.
Thanks for all these challenges, such a great variety, something for everyone !!!
Drove from GZ to GZ, managed to find the all containers for the solved solutions, 27 of the 40
at last count !!
Lots more left for another visit.
Thanks again.

I was in town for the WA Goes Big event with Kyzabra and jinta29 and what better thing to do in the morning but to tag along as these brainiacs puzzled it out. We found about 20 today.
Thanks for the series West Oz Geocaching, a superb effort indeed.

I was in town for the Big event with Kyzabra and AlliedOz and what better to do in the morning but to head out and grab the puzzles that I had solved! All coords were pretty good and the hides did not cause too many difficulties.
West Oz Geocaching - jinta29 found your cache WAGB Arrow 15 on 29/05/2015 10:45 am. This is my find #3228 and find #13 today. The cache is in good shape and we replaced it as found. Thanks for placing this and bringing us to this spot!

Came to Busselton last night with Jinta29 and AlliedOz to start prepping for WA GOES BIG.
We decided to head out this morning and grab our first 20 solved caches (1-20) of the arrow.
Sorry about the repeated log but need to get them logged so the trackables can crank up their miles for the TB Race
All were found pretty straight forward with good coords or obvious locations.
We loved the variety in puzzles and even though we over complicated a couple
Looking forward to the next 20 to solve. Im thinking a few more challenges there !!!
This was cache number 13 out of 21 for today. Also our total find number 3286
Thanks West Oz Geocaching for this hide.

We have really enjoyed the variety of puzzles. Another quick find here. TFTPuzzle and TFTC
Heading down for WA Goes Big today and what better time to pick up a cache or two on the way. Knocking of the new 'Heading south' caches as well as filling in a couple 'Well Rounded' and 'Rural Towns' spots and some of the 'WAGB Arrow' series.
Had a go at 17 with one DNF made for a five hour trip from Thornlie. A morning well spent I reckon.
Second arrow attempt and I was struggling at first then I spotted the cache, the struggle didn't end there as it was a little troublesome to extract the container.
The puzzle took a couple of goes before I had some workable coordinates.

Day one of the WA Goes Big weekend.
We drove down from Perth today and set out to find the WAGB Arrow caches that we solve before leaving home. We really enjoyed this series and, even though we didn't manage to solve them all, we did manage to find all the caches that we solved. A very special thank you to the cacher or cachers responsible for the series, we appreciate the effort put in and we had a lot of fun finding them all.

Down in Busselton for the Big Event, we spent the day finding a few of the puzzles we had solved plus a few others along the way
I think this was the first puzzle in the arrow I solved as I was reading through the list... There could be a couple of options for the final coords, so I double checked with a previous finder before heading here today. Cache was found after a short search

In Busselton for the week to attend WA Goes Big weekend. Out caching for the day attempting the Arrow series. Found this one. TFTC
Out for the day caching with ooh yeh. Had to let miss 11 use her muscles to retrieve this cache! Tftc
Headed down to capel and busselton today with geodaughter Redlipsandunicorns and the 2 grandkids. The main mission was to pick up the arrow caches which we found 18 (the geohubby is still working on 2 of them) and to pick up some of the other caches that i hadnt found on my previous visit. Had a great day with no DNFS and i must say the grandaughter was great at finding caches today lol.... There was a few tricky hides that took a bit of searching and we found a few clever caches as well. TFTC West OZ Geocaching
Took a while to find this one and very hard to retrieve. Replaced it back where we found it.

Well have to admit that I stuffed up in one of the 'minutes' in the East co-ords. On paper it looked ok but when I was searching through knee high kyke I knew something was not right. Continued onto my appointment in Busso and when that was over, sat down in a café for a coffee to go over my workings. Fortunately quickly spotted the mistake and detoured again on my way home to the correct gz to make a quick find in what was a more appropriate spot. Clever little puzzle - thank you.
