Another walk in this pleasant town, our second day here visiting old friend. Thanks for the cache BigglesNZ
We are on a trip in New Zealand. A wonderful country with a lot of (old )caches. There are too many caches so we limit ourselves to the (old) gems or where we happen to make a stop. We found and signed this cache in good condition. BigglesNZ, thank you for this cache, regards xizat-NL. Take care, this hobby can develop to an addiction.
Today was a buzz over the hill on Bumblebee to complete the Hill Street (Blues ???) and graduate with a BGSc.This was the fourth before signing off the BGSc.
An extended long weekend with lots of caching yay! The weather ended up being better than predicted and I had a ball thanks to all CO's!
A quick walk to whet our appetite! TFTC!!
South Australia is the place be for GCA1DNA - MEGA - February 29th, 2024 in Adelaide! Hope to see you at The Great Leap Forward!

Easy find on the Hill Street walk full of water. Unfortunately no pin that will take a photo to show that we were here.
I tried this one from the other direction on a previous attempt. Coming from this direction seemed to make all the difference in the world (at least for me). TFTC.
A quick find while driving around looking for a few P&G's. All in good order here. TFTC
Took a bit of hunting as my co ords we’re out so I was looking in the wrong place. Have it one last look a bit further north and found it. Waterproof log is holding up nicely. TFTC.
Bike ride around the block, remember finding a geocache same area a couple of years ago. Nice easy cashe along the way. TFTC
A short walk and a cache found - we are heading towards Stretch0's 4000th cache this one was the penultimate cache - log signed - thanks for the cache
A quick grab and no one to disturb us . Trying to gain my next milestone cache today and now is one to go #3999 . thanks for the cache .
Nice easy find on my day off. Bit of water inside the cache but the special log paper was holding up; emptied it out and gave the paper a good shake dry. TFTC!
Day 29, a quick find with junior 3carpenters. She is a little scared of going off the hard seal. Thanks for the cache.
Needed a couple of caches to up the finds for the day. Never walked thru this path. Quiet with only a muggle appearing when walking back. Tftc
My first time on this walkway have wondered how to get here nice we spot, the log book is very wet but still managed to log my name ok
I am staying at Hope for a week (Sunview Heights) and went for a walk this morning looking for some caches close by. This was one of them, nice walkway - yesterday we were at the other side of Hills St and had to drive all the way around. Much easier when walking.
Nice quick find, nice camo container.
Nice quick find, nice camo container.
A short walk after a local event, cache a little damp but dried out and logbook while moist still works ok. Thanks BigglesNZ for a good excuse for a leg stretch.
Not sure how Tregearp and I had not found this one earlier as we've been along this path several times on other caching expeditions. A quick find today after lunch with a group of local cachers at the nearby winery.
All in good order, thanks for the cache BigglesNZ.

A quick find, just another walker on the track today. Happy to get this one after a few fails before and after. TFTC Biggles.
I had planned a while out to make the trip over the hill today. Lately my Canterbury finds have been well outstripping the Tasman/Nelson ones, so thought this needed some redress. If I can get over once every 6 weeks or so this year that would be great.
So the weather played ball, and the plans were loose. 3 caches were on my wishlist, but none were essential today. Instead I kind of just looked at what was next closest on the map and went for that. In the end I only found one of those anyway.
There is never a bad day caching I guess, but today there were some challenges. Any thoughts of walks in the hills were quickly extinguished (excuse the pun) due to the fire ban; a couple of problem hides that I thought I had good ken on still proved elusive; and it was muggle central at a few others due to sports and whatnot. I probably DNFed or did not attempt more caches than I actually found today, so the day went quickly. Just 21 to log as found, but some good ones in there. Had good success with multis, and even solved the finals for some that will require visits later. Also caught up for a chat with team GKMLB who had helped with an SOS!
Thanks to all the COs. I will log the DNFs and hopefully they are more down to my incompetence than anything.

Nicely hidden, great container, found very wet, but because of rain proof paper no trouble signing.Tried to dry it out a bit, but it may need a large 'O' on it to really seal properly. Thanks for the cache on my favourite biking quick trip, now we are in our new location at Hart Rise. Thanks for the cache.
A bit of a tricky find; I was a bit low on caching energy so I nearly gave up, but hung in there and found it. The log is still wet and now a bit slimey; it's still signable but could do with a couple of hours in the sun or in front of a heater. TFTC.
Weather looked a bit iffy so decided to go for a walk along Hill St, just as the cache name suggests. I live quite near one end (the far end) and the GPS said I was 3.25km away. Anyway a few spits of rain and a bit of sunshine later I was opening up a cache. A bit of water inside and log book wet but no problems signing log in the write in rain paper. Now to do the 3.25km back. Thanks for the cache.
Filling in a dot day...few more up and downs than anticipated...should have guessed as it's on Hill Rd. But a cache found...though container was full of water and logbook wet. Tftc
Another fun packed geotrip exploring Nelson with The Seagnoid, Toby and Zara. So lets go! Its drizzling today so raincoats and gumboots are the order of the day.
Couple more stops on our way back to Richmond. Stop here for a small walk to snag and tag this won along the walkway. Found some ripe plums - yum. Cheers

I'm working on my calendar project, getting my finds up to five per day. I need to find a cache both Saturday and Sunday, and want to save the local caches for weekday requirements, so... geotrip!
Taybeedragon and I arrived Friday night. Today its raining. It rained all day. Non stop. Mostly just drizzling, so we went caching anyway.
Very pretty little walk, but I still wonder why they did not connect the road through. Time for lunch!

What a lovely little walkway. Found the cache with mr.6 but than we had to watch the cutest ever little lambs in the paddock next to GZ to wait for the muggles to pass. We didn't complain about the wait. Could not sign log, might need replacing as it's very wet and falling apart. Thanks for bringing us here.
An easy find after arriving at GZ. The logbook is abit of a mess - quite damp and ripping in pieces. The old wet log is stuffed down in the bottom so it wont have a chance to dry out. Cute wee lambs in the paddock arnt skittish at all. Thanks for placing the cache and adding to our smilies
Met a muggle running at gz who'd visited with a friend a while back. Happy to point out where this one and another were! The log is almost pulp however. Sorry no waterproof paper to put in. Tftc.
Took a bit to locate this one, came though this way on way back home after a ride on the MTB with KE via Wairoa. TFTC
#2803. After attending a funeral in Blenheim yesterday, I decided to spend the night in Nelson and give myself a chance to make start on the very large numbers of caches in this region. By 4pm when I dropped off the rental car at the airport, I had managed to find 37 caches between Nelson and Motueka (plus one more cache in Wellington to fulfil the requirements for the "North and South Island in One Day Challenge" GC5RJFK). This cache was quickly found after a short walk down the path. Unfortunately the container has leaked and the log paper is damp. Still managed to sign the log. Replaced the cache as found. Thanks for the cache.
Out and about doing errands today and stopped for a couple of quick caches, although was looking straight at this one for a while and didn't see it straight off.
Coordinates were spot on for a quick find - have never been here before so thanks for showing us this walkway and tftc
A little slipping and sliding in the drizzle. I wonder how hard this will be to find after the new path is made. Nice one TFTC

In Richmond for a wee holiday. Mr TG grew up here....and staying at Mum & Dads who still live just around the corner. An evenings run with Mrs TG....just getting on dusk. Listed co-ords took us down the drive past the letterboxes and onto private land. Checked logs and used Capperz recycled SoBad's coords which took us straight to the cache. Cheers.
An early start today for a full mornings caching. When the GPS took me well off the track I wondered if this was going to be a bad start to the day. Eventually initiative took over and the cache was found in a logical position. TFTC
GPS did not have me close but logic did and knowing some of the CO's caches, there it was. Thanks Biggles.
Another weekend, yay. Another trip over the hill to Nelson, yay (ish). Off to the shops to look for a new lounge suite, a bike rack and a trip to Richmond Mall, (not yay) So the deal was struck. A blend of shopping, a few caches, Tally the dog along for the trip and a visit to Tahunanui Beach to get some sand therapy. Weather promises to be good all weekend which is a bonus and means I can plan to do caches without the encumbrance of a raincoat.
With the girls now at the Mall it was off to some caches over the back of town. Heading for the nearby puzzle final so parked at the end of Hill St and tried the new cords. No joy up here. Read some previous suggestions and used SoBad's 622/512 combo which sent me down the path linking the Hill Street(s)
Their coordinates were bang on so I removed the log to find my pen had run out. Grrrrrr. Made some slight blue indentations and replaced as found. A few new born lambs in the nearby field too

Like others before us we widened our search to find this one. Our reading was also about 16-17m, but after reading the previous logs we found it quickly enough as the drizzle started in earnest. Thank you BigglesNZ.
Just a couple before the rain sets in was the plan. We remembered a previous cache here so no probs there. Although aware of some alternative coords we tried our luck on the originals. As the rain was trying to beat us rather than us beat the rain we employed the alternatives after some searching. We looked just a little to casual before but Holymu laid her hand on the cache on the second inspection. Thank you BigglesNZ.
Found it, eventually. Like others, we widened our search and finally uncovered the hide. Nice one - though our GPS read .621 and .546.
This had sat unfound by us for too long really, but we had either been heading in the other direction or much further. With 2 new caches for us in Richmond, we carried on to this one and then on to Aniseed Valley to make the most of a lovely winter's afternoon. Like others, the cache was found with the GPS reading 16m. Our GPS had .622 and .512.
Thanks for the extra reason for a Sunday drive on Tuesday.

Took awhile to find. Had a look at some comments then widened the search for a find
A bit busy at one end today so drove round to the other. Tried a few options before I got the right one. pretty impressive container than blends in so well. Thanks for bringing me back here to this walkway. TFTC #6862
Nice One!!!!!!!!!!!Found this one with the help of our Grandson Bryn. Hard to believe he started caching with us 11 years ago. He is now 6'4' and still growing. Our search took a bit of time because we found the cache 17M from the GPS's GZ. No worries, still much fun. Thanks. Say Hi to the family. Jerry
GPS was a bit random today however stood back, re read the hint and quickly found after that. Loved the container. Thanks Biggles!!
Paddle chick and I searched for ages looking for this cache, walking up and down and around finally found it.Tftc .Biggles
I came here a couple of weeks ago and had a pretty half hearted attempt. Having read previous logs we looked a little further afield than GZ. Still took a while to find. Thanks Biggles

A short stroll in the lunch time sun. This was a great spot to take a break from work today. Ages since I was last here but glad to be back.
Thanks Biggles for the cache.

Searched and searched the area where the GPS showed where it should be. Had to look at the clue and previous logs before we found it about 17m along from where we were looking. Great camo container. Thanks for the cache.
Some of us remember a previous cache here. - - - FootSlogger's Highway it was called. A couple of years after finding that cache I was back here again - - - with my bicycle. Actually there was a whole great group of cyclists following a circuitous route from Brightwater to the Wakatu Estate. - - - I particularly remembered that cache as one by one the cyclists dismounted, and even the staunchest amongst us took to footslogging. Mind you, bikes can be a bit like dominoes in some situations.
GZ this time round took a little locating, I was very thankful for the hint. Loved the perfectly camoed container. TFTH .

Like those before, the close proximity of trees and the bank affected the GPS but after fruitlessly searching in a few places, I had the cache cornered with the help of the hint.
Certainly a nice little path for a nice little stroll.
Thanks

I went for a drive and a walk for a few smilies this afternoon.
This took me a while. GPS didn't quite get me to the right spot. Read and re-read the hint and finally noticed the "periods" and the penny dropped on where I should be looking.

Yip, agree a good spot to replace the cache. Our GPS was crap, but took us to the old container which we removed. Logic and hint made up for 13m off set.
Thanks Biggles.
Thanks Biggles.
arrived at GZ wasn't long before the cache was in our hands
brought back memories. we walked along here many times
good one

Published coordinates brought me close enough to see what I could identify as suitable for all practical purposes. TFTC
#9450 (FTF #158). We weren't too quick off the mark, so weren't sure whether we'd be in the running for an FTF. Managed to find a park at the start of a track I had walked while street walking, and were soon at GZ. Coords seemed a bit out, but after widening our search Troodles managed to find the cache (and sit in something that looked a bit unsavoury). We were about 10m NE of where our GPS units were telling us GZ was. TFTC.
Some new geocaches just published and at least than 2km away, this was the closest to home. We decided to drive rather than bike (since I'm sure Hill St gets its name from its topography) and parked near GZ to find it all quiet, with no other parked cars.
Pretty steep wee track, and regretted leaving my walking pole in the car boot, so had to tread carefully. StreetWalker was at GZ first but he overshot where my GPSr was pointing so we each searched our target area without success. Then searched some more, with both GPSrs wavering all over the place as satellite coverage wasn't the best here. Expanded our search area a bit more, when I finally found the cache over 10m from my GZ. Well camoed container, nearly lost a part of it in the undergrowth.
Surprised to find a blank log well over half an hour after publishing. Where are the FTF hounds? Maybe heading out towards Best Island ?
Thanks for day #368 of my streak and TFTC, Biggles.
