Out and about on a Sunday afternoon with karen rinora. Of course we had to stop for a few caches along the way! TFTC!
Today RoddyC, Hatzofff and I had an early start to cache our way to Beaudesert for an Event then cache after the Event too. Hatzofff was trying to get enough caches in the Scenic Rim for a certain Challenge.Found this cache, signed the log before replacing as found. TFTC
With an Event in Beaudesert today, it is a great opportunity to aid hatzofff in finding some Scenic Rim caches for a specific challenge. Of course, I am sure Imbunda and I will also collect a few along the way. What a fantastic old hall. So glad we made this trip today.Log signed and cache replaced as found at 4:01 PM on April 27, 2024. TFTC, lucasladd.
Home from our trip away and getting back into caching. An event in Beaudesert and a challenge to qualify for has brought us to the Scenic Rim.Not scared of them.Caching with RoddyC and Imbunda.TFTCache lucasladd
Today, the morning plan was hiking to Upper Portals, utilising the [Picnic at Upper Portals](https://coord.info/GCA4KJT) event as an opportunity to visit this popular destination. An enjoyable group in attendance to make the 4WD drive and walk down, and a fortunate weather window to have completed that too. I then took a drive home via Rathdowney and Beaudesert, although I questioned the sanity of geocaching as I was caught in very heavy rain storms, which made me keep driving and adjust plans in order to not get drenched. Highlights included visiting Kooralbyn and seeing the kangaroos and wallabies around the streets, and completing the [JUBILEE PARK WALKING TOUR](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/ead2c608-a9f7-40ee-803c-dd6392e5fa40) Adventure Lab in Beaudesert.
Whilst waiting in my vehicle to let the rain soften, I read a few past logs, and started to get ideas about this cache. Hence, when the opportunity presented itself, I made a quick dash for the cache, and made a reasonably quick find, suspecting the camouflage. I then brought the cache to inside the shelter, where the cache container and logbook were in good shape. A really nice old shelter, and it came in handy today whilst signing the logbook! Thanks lucasladd for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Camping close by so we headed to the dam today for a look around. Had to do a spot of caching on the way home of course. Nice to see this old building is still standing. We noticed the hooks under the shelf for hanging bags.

After a FTF in Kalbar, and finishing the Adventure at Moogerah I’m taking a very indirect route towards Rathdowney and Beaudesert…
The views of Mt Maroon are spectacular… it’s about here I remembered my last trip down here and how bad the phone reception can be…
As I retrieved the cache I had to chuckle at the thought of Davinells dealing with this container… I imagine it ended up metres away… tftc…

Making my way to Rathdowney for the night I’ve left early so I can stop for a few caches along the way.
I used the hint and looked underneath and saw what I was seeking but again didn’t want to touch it... the things you do for a smiley. Tftc

Based at Mt Alford and this is one of the caches we targeted and found. Love the scenery and exploring in this area. Thanks for hiding and enhancing our enjoyment of the area. Fav point alloc
Out on a fun caching day with Chamad, GeoNayfee and Team Tyrrell.
After an early start to visit Mt Maroon Caves, we headed back towards Moogerah and stopped by to collect some caches along the road.
Would be a sight from a muggle's perspective - car pulling up, 4 people jumping out and looking around for a quick minute, finding something, writing on it, then jumping back in the car.
This one was quickly found by Chamad.
Thanks for the cache lucasladd

Out today with team Tyrrell, Willis007 and GeoNayFee to hit some target caches in the area. On the list was some particular D/T‘s, oldies, letterboxes, challenges and some trads. With a list set it was planned to get most of these in some form of order. But like all plans things are due to change along the way. It was a fun day with lots laughs along the way with a few long walks. In all we collected around 16 key caches and a few with some unloved.
This was our second cache in a run along the roadside to our next cache on the list, Moogerah. We could not pass by this one so a stop was agreed upon. It was a little scary when grabbing this one. A nice hide and with the log signed and cache replaced as found it was off to the next one.
Thank you for placing this one here, all good with this one.

Chamad, Team Tyrrell, Willis007 and myself decided to go for a spot of geocaching today. We spent a good 7 - 8 hours exploring the Scenic Rim. We travelled to Mt Maroon, Lake Moogerah and several other locations on our travels back to Brisbane.
Today we ended up with 16 finds and bagged ourselves a couple of oldies. Woohoo!
A big thank you to every CO for placing caches at each of these location. Thank you for bringing us out to these wonderful locations. I always love coming out to this part of SEQ, it's always so magical, peaceful and beautiful.
Apologies for the generic post.

A sneaky stop and find on our way back to Toowoomba region after a fun weekend hiking up Mt Maroon. I was following in my car behind kestal and saw her pull over so naturally I swung in too. Thanks for the cache here, lucasladd!
It was time for a great weekend to come to an end and I was headed back to Toowoomba. Of course there was time for a cache or two more. This was one stop and Caro and I took a left each and she came up with the find. TFTC lucasladd
Nice quick find with bennyboppers today on our way home from My Maroon. Beautiful day out. Glad I grabbed this one and not my friend else there might have been a bit of a fright. Tftc
Heading out to Killarney this morning and dropped by to grab a cache. Easy find but not so pleasant this time of the morning. Now I'm awake lol. Log was full so added a fresh sheet. Tftc
After a lovely drive and walk to the Maroon Caves today, we began our drive back to Brisbane. This one was along the way. Such a beautiful piece of history!

Happy New Years! After being recalled to work for the morning, made the most of our day off as a family and toured through the Boonah, 14 Crossings, Killarney and Warwick regions. Kids were sleeping and we really wanted them to experience the 14 crossings again so we nabbed a bunch of caches on the way.
Plenty of parking and a great hint meant the cache was quickly in hand. Scary little guardian, scary enough I poked it quite firmly with a long stick before I was confident to touch it knowing I wasn't going to die.
Log was retrieved and signed in a tiny space I found, definately needs a new log though.
Thanks lucasladd, cache is in great condition just needs a new log

After a walk up to Mt Maroon Caves with teamdfl, I stopped to pick up this cache on my way home. I had no trouble locating the find, but that cache guardian was a little too realistic for my liking and I used my pen to flick the container down, then made sure it was not real before picking up the container! TFTC, lucasladd.
Felt like looking for a few caches, so put my geodog Scruffy in the car and headed to the Rathdowney area for the day.

We are nomads. Having left Perth WA in February 2014 we now live in our caravan and go wherever the will or caches take us.
Staying a few days in Kalbar, today we went for a nice drive in the countryside. Such a scenic region, shame it was 36degrees today, a tad too hot to be out of the aircon for too long.

Mr. Herbz found it fast while Mrs Herbz was extracting her umbrella.
Just as well as she wouldn't have liked the cache guardian much.

Thursday. Mrs SP was out south-west of Ipswich with Orange Crew today with the aim of finding a special cache for number 3000. Having achieved that (Outward Bound - GC4A7F9), it was now onto some other caches in the area.
After collecting a couple on the nearby mountain, thought we would collect some more on the way to having some well deserved lunch at Boonah. Cache was quickly spotted by Orange Crew and log was duly signed by both parties to claim another smiley for the day.
This was the 5th of 11 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***lucasladd***, for showing us this place.

A vintage bus stop for a unique cache. Such a fantastic view of a mountain across the road which is spectacular. Princess Sunrise didn't hesitate with the grab, even with the guardian protecting the cache TFTC lucasladd &
No school bus was going to be arriving here as it is Sunday today. Yet another cache decoration which might look fearsome, but is really quite harmless. It certainly did not stop the log being signed and it was carefully replaced where it had been found. Thanks lucasladd, for this cache as well.
Nice find after a great day out. With about 6 pairs of eyes looking there was no chance we would not get the find.

Found with Dora the Explorer! on our night time geocaching raid of the area.
Being dark and having to use a torch, I only jumped a little once I found the cheeky cache Knowing that it was only pretend didn't make grabbing it any easier Scribble left and on to the next one.

23/4/16 spending the weekend at a nearby camp ground with friends and decided this was the perfect opportunity to grab the last few caches needed for our personal challenge of 1000 caches by our 2nd geo-anniversary (which is on 26/4/16). Today I headed out to grab 12 caches which will take me to 999 finds.
This was the tenth cache of the day. Judging by the name of the cache I was expecting something at GZ to match. Hmmmm....nothing obvious, until I found the cache. Very clever and well deserving of a favourite point. TFTC lucasladd

A jaunt in the fresh air to climb a hill, followed by a drive in the countryside and a few caches to collect
Have to say it was a good thing my trusty notebook was onboard as I got a bit confused as some of the water crossings are named alike.
This is a creepy bus shelter and pretty sure I would prefer to stand out in the rain. Poor darlings who had to wait here for a ride. Easy find as I invited Ruzzelz to poke around with the spiders
What a lovely trail in a spectacular part of the world.

On our way home from camping at Maroon, Geokid wanted to stop off & investigate this bus stop. He loved the creative cache Log signed & re-hidden in its spot, thanks for the cache!

We set off today to grab a couple of caches with not much planned, but just to enjoy a relaxing day in the county side This one was next up on the list for us today, so we continued our drive along the country roads and soon arrived at GZ. This one was quite cool. A very old piece of history, which I am sure could tell a few stories We quickly spotted the cache, and added our name to the logbook, before heading off for a few more [^]

This was great. The little shelter must have seen many buses come and go and sheltered children on cold mornings. I was delighted to see a raptor circling the field nearby. Another thing you see in the country.
Now I do remember this one. There was a nice little hut for the kiddies to shelter in for the schools bus. The find was nice and quick even if we were here for a while. Lots of things for Bristracker to take photos of here.
Out caching for the day with Diamonjs and Aussie Liahona. Had completed the earlier water crossing series so was out today to look for the newer ones. Great historical bus shelter - I wonder if they also stored milk cans in here to be collected? TFTC.
Finally found a cache where we didn't need to extend ourselves. Nice hide in another beautiful country location. Out caching today with JooJoo57 and DiamonJS. We had a great day. Many thanks Lucasladd. [^][^]
I love these caches that take you to see different things or to see history and how much history has this bus shelter seen, can you imagine the days when it would have been full of school kids waiting. Nice easy find although I did take a double look before grabbing the cache. Nice hide. TFTC

Decided on a 'country' run today as my calendar was clear.
Picked Beaudesert, Rathdowney, Boonah as a likely run. Glad I did!
Took a couple of goes to find this one.
The cache blended in very well with it's location.
Great container! Well placed.
