Muggles around on our first attempt so walked some of the trail to find a few caches and came back. No muggles on 2nd attempt so easy find before walking to the shop for a coffeeTFTC
After the CITO this morning I headed here to wait for McLookers to join me. While waiting, I had a look for this one, and though it took some time, I did eventually find it. The log was full, so I managed to cut up some "write in the rain" paper and replaced the log (with the CO's permission). Thanks to GemmaSistema for the cache.
Found it on the way home from BalmoralBut unable to write my name in the log as there is no room as per previous finds
Loved this one took a while and blended in well you gotta use your eyes to find this one but theres no more room for names
After looking under nearly everywhere we could think of Mrs. P finally spotted it. Signed with initials in very full log book.
OPEN YOUR EYES CACHE MONSTER HUNTER . After going and finding a few more caches, we returned for another Quick Look, and quickly we found it. Coordinates are good, just use your eyes unlike us. TFTC
Was at a nearby event with Nelzarama, Valzarama and Little goat today and this was a nice grab while we were there!Had a pretty good idea of where it would be and it took us a few minutes of searching before I located it!Log was very full so have initialled and put back. Thanks for the cache!
This morning I was at a nearby event Welcome to Linton (GCAHGNF) and noted this cache from the BSRT series which I hadnt yet found. TangentGoat and I, plus our littles Valzarama and little goat headed over to see if we could spot it.TangentGoat was the lucky finder today. Our initials TG and NR are in the very full log. No replacement for a nano on me today sorry. Thanks for placing this cache as part of the series, Ive enjoyed discovering all the little spots plus spending some time on the trail
A few spare days to fill before Christmas so I made the decision to hit the road and go on a road trip from Adelaide to Ballarat. The main purpose of the trip is to tackle the Ballarat Geo Tour before they get archived in February 2024. Day four was spent in the heart of Ballarat tackling some caches and Adventure Labs on the main drag. Then to onto the Eastern side of the lake. In the afternoon I went for an excursion out to Skipton to bag a new LGA. Sadly no time to complete the trail but managed to get three done on foot. Ill have to return with my bike to finish off the trail. Thanks for the cache GemmaSistema.# # #13854 # #
Found at 11:14 AM GAFF3.Yes - Linton is lovely, but it is not showing its best in this cold, overcast and rainy day. At least there were no muggles about to let me investigate the area for a nano! Thanks to GemmaSistema
On our travels we found ourselves on day two of the rail trail, this took us a little longer than it should but soon had the cache in hand alas the log is full but managed to make my mark, thanks for placing it
Time for Mr. Lazy aka JTreeTrack2 to catch up on some logs. Sorry to the cache owners for the lag. I have enjoyed finding every cache I have found and appreciate all the effort that has gone in to placing and maintaining the caches. Hopefully I will find more caches and give a more timely and personalized logThanks again for placing the cache.
Start of a great day with Geobro on the rail trail from Linton to Haddon

After leaving Rutherglen and attending a wedding in Taradale we headed across to the 'rat to spend some time before Lady Morris had her mouth surgery.
We camped at Smythesdale and today we jumped on the bikes to head towards Linton and put a bit of a dent in that stretch of caches.
We did manage to get there - approx 40 kms of riding that is going to hurt tomorrow. I think that leaves us with about 4 left to find including one DNF today.
Thanks for contributing to the fun GemmaSistema OUr last for today and fuelled by the very excellent hedgehog and coffee from the Linton shop its a quick 20kms back to camp.

Heading back to car parked here and the workers who were here an hour or so ago had left, giving me the chance to have a look around. Took a few minutes but thankfully the cache was spotted and I was finished out this way. Sat and enjoyed the area for a little while before packing the bike away and head back to towards Ballarat.
Thanks for another one GS....this one is all good and tucked away nicely.

Found it out and about with annabella02- gps was spot on - which helped ! Tftc
Staying in Linton for a wedding tomorrow near Beaufort and is too hot being 38 degrees for a bike ride we set off to do vehicle access caches on the BSRT and tomorrow when the weather is cooler do the others between Linton and Nimmons Bridge. This took longer than it should. Sometimes these ones are sooo frustrating. Lol. TFTC
A convenient nano at a convenience stop on the Rail Trail. A bonus on two counts. SL at 2.20pm in the shade at lovely Linton on our drive to Skipton from Creswick. TFTC GemmaSistema
My sixth day of my trip heading to the Mega Event In Whittlesea Victoria. This would be Find Number 3 of 19 for the day and find Number 70 for this trip away.
A great area love the old platform feel to the toilets and seating.

SL at 8pm. Travelling with bdiaw on our way home from the Whittlesea Mega event. Stopped in Ballarat to get some dinner and have a break. It's funny how these little towns can show you something you have never seen before!

Tricky lil nano. Took me longer to put the log away than find the cache. Ain’t that always the way? thank you
Found while on a whirlwind trip to Mt Gambier this weekend. Deserted spot in the rain today. Thank you
Adelaide to Melbourne Roadtrip.
Day Two: Naracoorte to Ballarat.
Weather: all over the place, standard Victoria.
One of a number of rail trail caches found today. Time was short, the light was fading, I did what I could and hopefully will get a second crack at some point in the future. I liked the variety of cache types and hides. Thanks for all your hard work GemmaSistema.
Lucky last for the day, FP for a great series, thank you.

*The Slow Drive Home After A Family Weekend Adventure #2*
Big weekend done, time to go home. That's not to say we need to *rush* home, of course.
Aha! Another train line turned bike path. This bears further investigation in the future! Tried not to look too suspicious when a bus load of people jumped out for a toilet break.
Thanks heaps for the cache, GemmaSistema!

After finishing the nearby Adventure Lab series I had a rest, a cold drink then approached the Rail Trail rest stop to search for this cache. It took a while and a few chats with a variety of passers by for entertainment before I found the cache hidden in the last option I had to search.
The last day of Xmas/New Year break so we decided to take out the treadlies and complete part of the BSRT - Smythesdale to Linton section.
A lovely day to spend outdoors and find some tupperware before we are stuck indoors and back to working from home.

A very late log.. (only 9 months) Found of a warm sunny day while out helping with a scout bike hike from Ballarat to Linton. With the BBQ area deserted it was a quick as causal find while I wanted for the scouts to arrive. Thanks GemmaSistema ..
Day #13 of the Birthday Bush Bonanza. I arrived in at Smythesdale late last night, rolled out the swag and settled in for a well earned rest. The plan today is for a slow journey back to Melbourne. The series of challenge caches and maybe some rail trail is all that is on the list so far.
Spent far too long looking for this one. I should have found it much quicker than I did.
Thanks GemmaSistema for the cache and for contributing to the game.

Today was a perfect day to get out and about for a bike ride, sightseeing and picking up some caches. After making lunch at the rec reserve we set off in sunshine and a bit of cloud. Thanks for this enjoyable cache.
TFTC. Lovely spring day on the Trail. Logbook is getting near to fall, the Nanos don’t squeeze too much in
Nice little rail trail stop with toilets and not too far from the store. Nice on a sunny day
A reasonably well disguised nano... took us awhile but got there in the end. Tftc
One of those caches that should be easy to find, but take a stupid amount of time to find because your brain has forgotten how to play the game anymore. Lots of muggles around this morning meant a little bit of waiting until the coast was clear.
It was a perfect morning for getting on a bike and Geocaching on the Ballarat Skipton Rail Trail. Ausfox; and Mr Dromaniax set off to turn as many dots into smileys as possible. There was barely a breeze and only a few clouds making riding really enjoyable. The Trail itself is in fantastic condition with a well-compacted surface making the riding pretty easy. This is the end of our cycling adventure today, from now on it will be some 4WDriving and normal driving from cache to cache. This little cache was tough to find as it had dropped off its hiding spot. AusFox; eagle eyes spotted it and it was signed and returned to where it belongs. Thankyou for this series of caches GemmaSistema. An FP from us for the great run of caches.
Out riding the BSRT with Dromaniax on a prefect winters day, locating all hides along the way.
We came in two cars leaving them at each end of the section we completed today.
What a fantastic journey it has been from Ballarat to Linton with so many great locations and views.
Thanks to all the CO’s along the way for maintaining the trail.
Log signed and replaced as found.
Thanks for the Traditional Cache GemmaSistema

While sending my way slowly towards a weekend of caching around Avoca, I had time to find quite a few caches and this rail trail was very tempting. I was able to drive to many of them and those that were a bit further from the road I either hiked or got out my trusty scooter and scooted my way along. The weather was ideal for this activity and I found all the caches as I progressed along the line. I will have to come back sometime to find more. Enjoyed the thought and variety of the hides. Thanks for the series GemmaSistema
When I was with kenare we cached all these together, but then a few months after that mippy5 and I decided we wanted to be cachers by ourselves. Well that meant that all the caches I helped find weren’t smileys for me any more. One by one I’ve been revisiting them. Today was a chance to refine this one. Tftc
A nano in the dark while my phone is on 2%... against all odds I shouldn't have found this, but I did! Nice hide! I'd love to walk this trail one day. TFTC!
Today I thought I would cycle towards skipping to grab the smilies that I haven’t gotten yet. The smilies I needed were in linton, but with my great navigational skills I ended up near skipton. No where near where the ones I needed were so had to back track a few km to get the ones I needed. Great day for a ride today, no wind but was starting to get a bit hot.

On a road trip to Western Victoria, picking up random caches as we check out the area. This was day 14 of the 16 day trip and we are now camping at Clarkesdale Bird Sanctuary. Today we ventured up to the local town for a look and ended up picking up a couple of nearby caches while we were there. While Mr Pooky was reading the information boards it was Mrs Pooky who surprisingly made a quick easy find TFTC and bringing us to this lovely spot.
Found a couple loitering and making like geocachers. Thanks to them we had a successful find. Tftc
TFTC. We had been to nearby Mt Bute to search for the new traditional there. On the way back we decided to stop in Linton and attempt some of the BSRT from here. While we were searching for this one we heard a vice ask “Have you found it Yet” . I rang a previous finder as Linda had not spotted it while I was further up the trail. Cache was quickly in hand and a new log sheet inserted.

In the area today conducting some cache maintenance and after collecting the data for the first stage of the Multi over the road, I headed over here with Geodaughter 1 to find this cache as there was no-one in the park to disturb us. A quick find while taking a rest and I was lucky to find one empty space in the logbook. (Think i need to put a few Nano logs in my cache bag, I would have changed it for you. and saved you a trip!)
Thx GemmaS FTC, great history boards of the district to read here!

Fun, adventure, travel, history, geology, mental stimulation, social gatherings, support and friendship are just some of the elements of geocaching.
Out and about enjoying the opportunity to grab a few caches, yours being one of those I targeted on my journey today. Thanks ??
Thanks GemmaSistema (F=8278 H=233) for placing this cache and adding to our game.

A lot of history here. I’m more knowledgable now. Thanks for bringing me here Gemma. TFTC
Found it after lunch in the park, now back to camp at Lake Learmonth for a rest in the afternoon.
Enjoyed the ride and the caching.
