Hi AlfT & Co
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.
Regards

A quick find here but it needs a bit of maintenance to get it just right. Log is soggy. Thanks. alft.
DNF
Philosophers stone. Was my thought. So I was mostly looking under stones. But also in other places. Did not find anything. Nothing philosophical, just a DNF.

This was our third DNF on an otherwise successful day (with 32 finds). This one was supposed to be easy, but there was nothing in the obvious place. Our experience was the same as busy paws described last time there was a string of DNFs. Are we doing something wrong here?
I had to visit a nearby site for work so made a quick find and sign on my lunchbreak on the way back. Thanks for the effort that goes into, placing and maintaining the cache.
Quick stop off here on our way back to West Melton. Left our calling card. Cheers
Its a long weekend in Christchurch, with The Seagnoid, Zara and Toby, and Star Gazing on the radar. Unfortunately clouds put paid to seeing stars but great event meeting up with the locals. Enjoyed visiting Halswell Quarry, Lincoln, Port Hills and running around after the Smurf family. Cool, fine days and NO rain made for an awesome weekend. Will be back again soon.

I was wondering what was the point of this cache - till I saw that it is sitting on Newton's Road. All scientists where known as philosophers in those days, philosophy is the study of knowledge.
Came down on Thursday night with Taybeedragon for a three day geocaching trip and to collect a rare cache type - so rare that this will be the first ever for me - a 10-Year Celebration Event cache (now rejigged as Community Celebration Events). But that, with some adventure labs and Halswell Quarry, was a couple of days ago. Yesterday we smurfed a bunch of caches, and today we are off to check out Lincoln (and another adventure lab) then head home at about lunch time.

Given this is not far down the road from our lifestyle block, thought it might be about time we made the find! TFTC
Found today with Injeanious (some logs signed as Team JeJe). We were out today getting some caches for the Mystery at the Museum. It was a great day for a drive out this way and we had some great views of the snow covered alps in places. TFTC!
We had just been talking about Sir Isaac Newton and science in general when we noticed this cache. A quick find. Tftc from team Jeje
Heading home after a fun weekend in Christchurch and a few planned stops along the way to help me with my goal of getting to #3000 by the end of the year. Nice quick find here TFTC
I swung by here to get my cache of the day. It was a nice easy find and, thankfully, I'd read the previous logs. I removed the mushy log and replaced it with a piece of note paper. The one thing I didn't have was an O-ring. The container doesn't have one, hence the soggy log.

Eventually found the couch after going around in circles for quite some time log is still quite damn with the recent weather that we just had through I think I managed to scribe mcb on it as proof will try and revisit it another stage but the CO. Might want to have a gander and make sure all is well.

Log damp might need a visit by the owner to ensure all is well and in the right place
Passing through the area today and picking up a couple of caches. As I was near here I stopped to see if I could find this one. Not in the first place I looked so I got the phone out of the car and looked at the distance, then it was an immediate find. The log is quite damp and fragile but I managed to put our name on it without causing any damage. Thanks for the cache and the smilie
#15376. Wanted one more find for the afternoon, and this one was (more or less) on the way home. Initially I focused in the wrong area, but then something caught my eye and rung a bell, and the cache was located almost immediately. TFTC.
StreetWalker and I needed some finds today to increase our find count for 24 March. I am still feeling a bit delicate after being unwell last week, so didn't want to do anything too strenuous, so a drive out into the countryside was just the ticket.
This was find number 10 and the last for the day. We started looking in the wrong area, when I said how about this spot? That's where SW found the cache. Now time to head home for a coffee. TFTC.

A tricky little hide, that had us a bit distracted. But little eyes and little hands won the day!
Found on a trip out onto the plains on a warm breezy day. Took me a little while, kept looking at the red herring. Thanks to all cache owners for taking the time to place and maintain your caches. BJ25. Find # 1558
We watched a classic car rally go past while writing this log.
Beautiful spring day.
Thank you

Thank goodness for a find here - we have been having an uncharacteristically bad run out this way. Decided to finish the day and head off to our accommodation. TFTC # 11,240
for some reason rolled up on this cache expecting a long search but J found in 5 seconds.
Quick find. Wasn't here the last 2 times I looked I'm sure of it. Anyway good to knock off a previous dnf. Many thanks for the cache.
Cheap flights a few weeks back appeared on the screen so we grabbed them for a caching trip. Arrived this morning from Palmerston North and after picking up the rental car the first two were dnf's. Not a great start to the trip! We are heading down towards Ashburton to get a huge day in and get the numbers on a big run.
Quick park and grab for this one. Nothing difficult and soon did the business and off to the next. TFTC

Nice quick find here today. First place we looked. A great one to get. Off to Templeton now for some lunch and then carry on caching. Tftc
Out with Busy Paws a couple of days ago to grab this one on a super hot day! This cache had been on the GPS for a long while and the logs hadn't been updated. Anyway the cache was signed and placed back as found, logged after notifying the CO.
TFTC!!

Very glad to say "Found it!" Went by with Geo jessie on a very hot day out and thought we'd give it a go and YES! Good hide, all dry and safe. TFTC logged after contacting CO.
Thought I'd try again. Frustrating when some have said in the past that it's a quick find.
Had a really good look but only found an electrical tie with nothing on the end. Has it gone or did I not find it?
On a mission to finish the 172 ° challenge needed this and 2 more quick find can't log . As previously mentioned needs some tlc
This was a quick roadside stop and a bit of a challenge. The container was very well hidden and we recommend that you stop to try and find this.
I had a couple of hours to spare this morning between work commitments so decided to head out for a bit of a country drive to try and find a few caches. Nice one. Definitely not what I was expecting to find here so took a bit of a search to work out what was the cache. As noted the log is mush. TFTC, Biggles.
This weekend saw us travel down to Christchurch from Auckland to tackle some caches towards our GIO Licence Challenge on Rangitoto Island. We needed to find 125 caches at least 500km from home, which also consisted of at least 50 different owners. Some cheap flights made Christchurch seem like the perfect opportunity to fulfil these requirements. It was a jam packed caching filled weekend, and a bit of a whirlwind visit, but we got to see some cool things during this time. Day two of this weekend was all about getting the number of finds up.
A quick straightforward find here. Thanks for the hide.

A quick stop here on my way to collect the kids. The nearby hedge has a lovely smell. Easy find but very damp log. TFTC
driving around east of CHCH nice area, nice series thanks to all CO

Went out for a bit of Christmas Eve caching with mum while we left the boys behind to play battlefield with each other - no complaints from anywhere!!
Had a fun arvo - found a few. But needed to be back in time for dessert being ready to eat!!! We got 8 under our belt in the hour that we were gone!

Did a detour across the country,on our way to the Rakaia Christmas Hide Trail.TFTH
Out with purdiepurdie, setting the world to rights with coffee/catchup/ caching; heading to knock off a couple of the Month Challenges and somehow this was on the way.
Fascinating man, Newton - and great to place a cache in his honour.
Quick find, thanks, AlfT & Co.

TFTC. Out for a CCC (coffee, chat and cache) with kotukuSI. We set a target cache and then proceeded towards it in a very round about manner.
During our few hours we managed to discuss the ChCh MEGA and caching in both Australia and Japan along with many other things. Finding the caches was a bonus.
It was nice to tie the cache title and location together.
Thanks AlfT & Co for placing the cache.

I thought it was about time to try and finish off the AB caches and a few others out this way.
Cheers for the cache.

This one put a real smile on my face even with a rather wet logbook. Nice cache to finish the day with. TFTC alft
