No problems making the find here. I see there was already one of our pet rocks in it - love it when they beat us to a cache.
I was a little confused by the padlocked gate, but clambered over it and continued on.
Thanks for setting this up for me to find

Thanks for the cache here, great placement. Kauriforest and I are GCing by bike.
Lovely morning walk with family and friends. Found a TB, and will bring it along for a trip.
Lovely cool spot on a hot day. Miss 5 had fun swapping swag. Tftc. Have dropped a TB.
I'd had an itch to head this way for a while now so I contacted my mid week caching partner Mc Jandals and proposed a nice little clean up of the area. We had quite the adventure today caching from dawn till dusk finding some really neat caches in some beautiful areas. I managed to walk away with 23 caches with the highlights being the Tarawera Falls and our checky virtual FTF.
This cache was found quickly and in good condition thanks to accurate coords and a straight forward hint. The ground was a little wet under foot but in the end - a really good day with really good company. Cheers Jess 88, TFTC

Found the cache and the trail at least I don't have to dodge golf balls now. The log paper was a little damp sadly I had nothing to replace it with.
Thanks for the cache
Thanks for the cache
Really enjoyed the river walk and finding the caches along the way. Thanks for the great hint which meant I was able to find it fairly quickly in all the rain today. TFTC
A quick find here after a walk along the boundary of the golf course.
Recent rain had made the grass very wet.
Signed and replaced.
Thanks

Quick cache. Had to make camp under the trees for a while whilst a man searched for his dog

Another dusk evening jog for the last time to fill a dot day on the river walk trail, at least no rain this time and back to the van without needing the headtorch.
Thanks for putting these caches out, have enjoyed the track over numerous nights.

Coordinates led me elsewhere but hint was spot on. Never been here before! Thanks for the placement Jess88
It was welcome shade to sign this log..still all quite here thanks Jess88 for a great placement
out for the day after dropping school group in Whakatane and before picking up again later. Just walked away when muggled by the owner of caches around here. . Good to meet up
This is my second full day in Kawerau and I thought I would do a smaller walk than yesterday's.
I had to be a bit stealthy here as well as there was another quartet of muggles nearby.
In TB.
Cheers for the cache.

Thanks for bringing us on this walk. A few muggles playing golf, but walking the dog is a good cover! TFTC
Labour Weekend and a lovely sunny day for a great river walk. Not many people on the golf course either, even better. Easy find, cache in good condition, plenty of swag. TFTC
Nice find! Good Friday walk about with maizoj & drimdram101. Got growled by green keeper.. oops! Tftc
Thanks for bringing me to this walk. Was tempted to see how far tack goes. Maybe another day. Tftc
This cache is back and in even better condition than when I first put it out. Hope you enjoy this series.
9.40am - We now believe we have only 5 caches left to do in Kawerau so will save them for another day. Thanks Jess for these caches but now it's off to do my work. SLTFTC
Day 28 of a hopeful 50-day caching streak... Sharing the challenge with Gap (of Fap and Gap).
Back in the area to complete a job, and we find ourselves on this track again... So after two days of epic walking on the trail, Gap suggested that we find this cache and leave the closer one for an emergency (should we need it)... Another very quick find with good coordinates and a specific hint. TFTC.

Staying down with the grandkids as it was Hadleys 8th Birthday - He had the day off to do Motorcross but finished early so he and I went for a walk to get these caches. It was a lovely way to spend the afternoon. Loved the camo on this one and the climb through the gate TFTC
Plans were made to head to White Island this weekend with Cats&Dragons but weather forecasted some gale warnings and the operator cancelled on us twice. Being already down in Hamilton we decided for Sunday to make a full day out to collect 50 smiles. And that’s what we indeed did. .
Beside the weather warning it turned out to be a great day with a lot of laughter and awesome company. Signed the logs as "ACDC" \m/. After we survived the golf course we made our way over to collect this one. TFTC

After what had been a full week and the disappointment of not heading to White Island on Saturday and then it being once again cancelled late last night Alpenmilch80 and I decieded to head over this way and see what we could find before possibly making it back to the event in Rotorua later in the day.
After the disappointment of not going away this could not have been a nicer day to spend caching with a very good friend. This was our first cache of the day here in Kawerau and as previously had had trouble with muggled caches so was unsure how our luck would hold out but were just happy to grab what we could.
After the park and grabs we were looking forwar to collecting these caches and the short walk that this involved. Soon had the cache in hand retruned to its spot and we were on our way once again. Today we signed most of the caches as "ACDC".
Thanks for the cache and the fun contained therein

I had just got STF on the nearby new cache and new I wasnt far before Murray and Janet as I came around the corner they were just ahead of me walking past this cache I shouted out to them have you found it yet they looked surprised you must be Davidson clan I stopped to sign the log I was huffing and puffing by this stage to my surprise there were other names on this log I didn't realise there was already a cache here so quickly signed the log and caught up to them.
We took the scenic route to this cache and really enjoyed the walk along the river. After finding it we decided to head back along the direct route. Thanks.
Yay FTF on Jess88's First To Hide! Congratulations on your FTH Jess...and with such great camo too!
We decided to take the longer river path which is beautiful, and we had not realised how big the golf course is! For the return we skirted the course back to the car which we had parked at the clubrooms park. So we went clockwise, walking 3.7kms altogether and taking just over an hour, enjoying the birdsong and the river...took lots of photos. We also stopped and chatted to a local walker who said mainly dog walking people go around that path outside the golf course, so we told him what were doing in case he sees some more suspicious characters without dogs....think he didn't get it though lol.
Thanks very much for taking us up there and for the FTF.
Oh, and we checked on our Tarawera River Walk cache on the other side of the pipe bridge...it was gone but we have now replaced it...new place, same co-ords...enjoy
