As always, good to catch up with geo freinds new and old.
Unfortunately we couldn't stay long

A day out in Ballarat to attend our first CITO, we made a day of it and grabbed as many cache types as are available in Ballarat. A great day had with becca85, neisha07, chan02 & WonderWomanW.W. TFTC

Thanks for organising another event Shamus1. It's always good to catch up with other cachers.

The day progressed to lunch and this was a good idea for a cache event. We arrived and to find a good turnout and it was not long after that the coffee was in hand.
It was good to catch up with other cachers and find out about local caches and we hope that the local cache bandits disappear sooner than later.

After the CITO this morning and a detour via the drains of Ballarat, a few of us almost missed the window of opportunity to log this event. With my BSL being a bit low, Nurse Mary gave me permission to eat some of the local fare, so log signed and meal ordered I had the pleasure of catching up with a few of the cachers still having coffee.

I'm betting Macca's would have been pretty happy with their takings today. We were a bit late getting here after a bit of an adventure enroute, but oh what fun we had. Nice to debrief and chat with those that I didn't get to chat with at the CITO earlier on, when we were all too busy working. Lovely to meet some new faces as well. Thanks yet again Shamus1 for another well attended event. Well done.

After attending the CITO and knowing we would hang around for this, we decided to challenge ourselves to get all of the 8 cache types in Ballarat today. By this point, we were up to #6 of 8.
Was great to pick some brains to get my phone all set up for the Whereigo next up.
A great turn out, love putting more faces to names each time we attend an event. Thanks Shane!

We arrived a bit late because we were on a hunt and "enjoying" the underside of Ballarat. It was really crowded here but I enjoyed a bit of a chat after the CITO event earlier. Thanks again Shamus1

I made sure that I got here early as I figured it would be a popular spot today even without us and I was right. Nice to sit with people for a chat out of the cold. Many thanks to Shamus1 for organising this event.

Mary & David were there. First time Mary created her own and, much to her liking. A great Event, lots of catching up and, for a bonus, it was warm inside! Our thanks to Shamus1.

Well, along with Harrowang, we headed into McDonalds an hour early and spent almost an hour chatting with a few other early birds. Then a chance to accompany some of them and learn what a "Where I Go" cache involves took us away to the dead centre of a Ballarat and a brisk walk in the biting cold. Managed to make it back to the Golden Arches before the end of the event but sadly with little time left to chat. Many thanks to Shamus for organising todays events, we did enjoy catching up with other cachers. SL

# 8576. Robmc and I arrived in Ballarat yesterday to attend the two Events today. Although the weather was wet and miserable early on out at Lake Burrumbeet it turned into a pleasant day for picking up rubbish and finding some caches.

We went straight from the CITO to this Event so we were very early. We had lunch and chatted to a few fellow cachers whilst having our lunch. We then headed out to play.

oh pooo didn't realise we were so close and missed this one..bugger. wish someone had warned us.... Dang and dratz. would loved to have caught up with other cahers.

We were desperately in need of caffeine after the CITO so probably arrived about an hour earlier than most. There were at least four other cachers to share a table with and have a chin wag whilst enjoying our coffee and cake. We came back later to sign the log and say a brief hello to the remainder of the group before heading off for lunch and more caching. Nice of Ballarat to show off their sunshine briefly and get the rain over very early this morning, so we all had a pleasant, if cool, day. We are staying in Ballarat for the weekend with MarknDee, friends and fellow cachers. THanks Shamus1 for a couple of events which gave us an excuse to visit Ballarat and catch up. #2982 Sorry we did not get to speak with everyone.

The weather started off looking shocking this morning, but by the time the CITO started it had moderated to just very cold. Bettyboo3747 and I travelled to Ballarat for both events and a few odd caches around the area.
Came straight from the CITO to warm up and have some lunch.
Chatted to other cachers for a while then plunged back out into the cold cold snow for some more caches.

We arrived early here today and enjoyed a leisurely lunch before the others arrived.
Enjoyed catching up with the local cachers and a few not so local cachers today. Ballarat was very kind to us weather wise.

Ventured up the highway with 6hinemoa2 to attend the two events today and also managed a few local caches. Great to catch up with old caching buddies and to meet some new ones as well. A very busy venue but thankfully we were there early to warm up after the CITO. Thanks for organising Shane

Was glad to finally get to the catch up lunch. After the CITO a group of us wandered the storm water drains of Ballarat looking for caches. With rumbling bellies and cold wet feet, it was a blessing to be inside with some hot food. Great to be able to put faces to the caching names I have seen for ages. Thanks for the event Shamus1
