We were staying nearby at Parklands for a week away. A bit of afternoon fun clearing out Blackheath. I must say the local caches were all in good condition and relatively easy to find. A nice experience all round. I drove past this cache upon seeing people in the park and went on to a different one. Upon returning they were still there and I suspected they were geocaching. I asked as much and confirmed, then helped them to find the cache. Experience counts! Good to meet you all.
Thanks SnowDogPack

with my car being serviced in Penrith I caught a train to Blackheath for a little caching adventure. One of four found whilst walking around the neighborhood. tftc
We got muggled! But we found a travel bug from Colorado,USA. This travel bug will be put in a cache in New Zealand.
We are on vacation in Australia and of course we seek some caches.

Found today on a great summers day. Didnt have a pen with me bit will return to sign the log
Took a short geo-break in Blackheath today on my way back from Portland and Lithgow. My GPS wasn't being entirely cooperative here what with all the trees and with half a hundred potential hiding spots around GZ, I wondered whether success would come my way in the time I allow for a search. Luckily, though, I spotted some unnatural looking natural camo ... and there the cache was.
Thanks for this cache blissbaby.

3.50pm. Taking a long walk from our motel to find six caches. Spotted this one as I walked up.
Thank you. David.
Thank you. David.
15:55 Thought I was going to have to dig, but ranging further to other trees, discovered that wasn't necessary after all.
Pen works, plenty of room in the log.

Last for the day as it was getting quite cold and dark.

Found by Mary & David at 1425. Lovely old trees and a fairly quick find. caching our way slowly to the Oz GeoMuster. The temperature has actually risen to 17°! Our thanks to blissbaby.
Went up from Sydney to Newnes for the weekend. Camped at Newnes Ruins Campground, surrounded by kangaroos, possums and a wealth of birds. On Saturday we headed out for some caching, and came up to the section of the TRLT series. On Sunday we headed back to Sydney via Katoomba.
This cache was nicely found in the shadows, which was well needed this hot autumn day.

On a 2 day caching adventure with GeodudeAU to clear some caches over the Blue Mountains. Starting from Hartley heading south to stop by Burraga Dam overnight, then heading north to Rockley and Oberon. We had a very successful trip, notching up 115 smileys, and exploring many out of the way places. Lots of interesting scenery and wildlife along the way. Thanks to all the COs for placing and maintaining these hides.
A quick detour once back at the top of the mountains. QAEPAG. Took a few trackables then saw a couple of lovely Aussie Shepherds like my lovely Zelda. TFTC

Out with Brewmaker on a two day adventure. On this, our second day, we started at Burraga Dam to continue on The Road Less Travelled touring trail (our third time out for this series) and other associated caches along the way. Passed Mount David and back to Burraga and then on towards Rockley (a very nice little historic town). Then it was along the dirt road to Oberon for lunch and more caches around the town, before finally heading back to Sydney.
It was perfect weather to be touring around the countryside, seeing lots of native birds and farm animals along the way. Thanks to all of the cache owners for the clear directions, hints, and good easy hides. Only a couple took more than a minute to locate. We found this one heading back to Sydney. A nice little park. Great walk through the nearby canyon before exploring Blackheath. Happy to pick up a few caches as well.

3 of us spent a fair bit of time around all of the trees for no result. We saw a photo of where it should be and definitely not there.
Truly heading back to the urban life now, we decided to try and grab a final couple to beat our best daily total so far. Thankfully I had the torches and the senior geo-gangsta and I made a quick find while the others watched on... Apparently we'd become a spectator sport! TFTC
After the GPS finally settled, we were able to make a quick find. TFTC bliss baby
All the gps's of the group were pointing all over the place but we eventually tracked the cache down.
Find no 8 on a day's hunting with my Bathurst caching group. This one was quite exposed as we approached GZ and we added a bit more camp when we replaced it. I expect some previously placed camp has fallen off on a windy day. TFTC
