The hardest part about this cache seemed to be finding a parking spot. Our first attempt found us approaching the cache from the wrong side of the creek, and I certainly wasn't going to entertain the option of wading across that. A bit of a Cook's Tour of the neighbourhood eventually found us a suitable park and we set off for the walk to GZ, aided by finding a decent trail to GZ. Surprisingly Crookedpete had managed to be the only one prepared for once, and had watched the required video. He had set off to GZ at a cracking pace to make sure he was first to get a crack at cracking the lock. Pity then that he couldn't actually find the cache. Although Swellefungus feels I made no contribution here, I WAS the one to find the cache container. Crookedpete was graciously given first go and soon had the lock picked - obviously a reflection of his troubled youth. Swellerfungus was next and he too had the container open in no time flat. I, in the meantime, was withering away to a husk, as the swarming mosquitos attempted to suck every last drop of blood from my body, so I elected to forgo my turn in exchange for keeping at least a few drops of blood flowing in my veins. TFTC
Cyclone Debbie was naughty. Not only did she make a real mess everywhere and get everything wet - she also spoilt the Bromance plans for a hike in Lamington NP. Somehow we ended up on the Sunshine Coast instead, which turned out to be a good alternative.
I have a bit of history with these sorts of field puzzles. Armed only with 2 of my daughters bobby pins, I once got a FTF on a lock picking cache in Brisbane. So I am familiar with the concepts. My esteemed colleagues spent a while fixing their makeup, so I wandered off in front of them. Completely missed the container at GZ. Seff, who found the container, is not experienced in the ways of the underworld, and after one very clumsy attempt, handed the container to me. No problems!
Have a favourite. Thanks two dollar

The Bromance (Swellerfungus, Seffnjarah and CrookedPete) came north from Brisvageas for a spot of Sunshine Coast hospitality - caching style. We started early and cached through for most of the day. As usual we looked for interesting caches with some better D/T statistics. Many of the Puzzles had not yet been solved by me (as this was a last minute decision to come here), so I have relied on the kindness of my companions, and am slowly solving all the ones we did before logging each one.
ShiftyPete had seen the video, so he showed us how it was done. Fungus the Fiend had to have a go - just to prove his manhood. Simple Seff'n knew his limits and didn't even try, happy to ride on the coat tails of excellence of his teammates. We accept this kind of behaviour from him. He is weak minded after all.
Thanks for an excellent cache, and a fave Pt from me.

We found a nearby parking spot on a new street that doesn't show up on many maps and had a pleasant walk to GZ, though the last 100m or so were a bit fraught as we hate walking through Aussie bush. Made it without disturbing any wild life and StreetWalker quickly found the cache.
We had looked at the video link in preparation, and I was helpfully reading out the extra info re accessing the cache while SW was getting stuck info but he didn't need any help and soon the lock was picked. Hmmm, I reckon he has done this before .
Certainly a different cache from anything we have done before, and we have now a new skill to practise . TFTC.

#12819. We've found a few different cache types over the years, but this one was a new one on us. Troodles did good preparatory work in pointing me at the video. The video makes it look easy, and when we got to GZ the cache was soon opened. Thanks for setting this one up; it's a lot of fun.
Wow, this is such a clever idea and we loved practicing to be crims, lol. A great geocache, two dollar, that we enjoyed very much and will award another favourite point. It's very deserving! We had fun trying to find the right location to access the area but once we had that sorted we enjoyed the bush walk along the water to GZ. The cache was located and the magic worked and we signed the log. TNLN. We put it all back together and wandered back to the geomobile. Cheers and happy caching! [^][^] We visited some trackables for miles
Took us a few goes to open the prize
Had to take a second look at the tube clip
And wallah it opened

Wanted to grab this one while we were in the area... I haven't seen anything broken into so quickly in a long time! Thanks for the fun.
Out and about clearing up some local caches today. We had a nice walk in to GZ after having watched the You Tube clip at home beforehand. Once at GZ we did take a few minutes before we located the cache. Neither of us had a misspent youth, so we ended up having to use a variety of tools and methods before we cracked the safe! Eventually we were able to sign the log. TNLN TFTC
Seeing a big RBB snake sunning himself on the pathway on the walk to the GZ didn't fill us with confidence !
We continued along the pathway until the compass needle pointed towards the swamp. Carefully we made our way through the scrub following the compass. Our youngest Geokid was the first to come up with the goods and then the task of breaking in started. After a couple of attempts and watching the video once Geodad was successful !
At one stage we had to duck down behind the log while some kayakers paddled passed, the geokids got the giggles and nearly gave up our hiding spot.
Lovely spot and a unique fun cache. A favourite point from us

Gave this a check and everything still working fine. The original location has disintegrated, so it has been moved a couple of meters and a new clue provided.
Booyah Found it!
Kudos to the CO! I love the way you think creatively about your caches. I enjoyed finding this one and figuring out how to open it.
There are still construction works around the place and you will need to go all the way around the long way to locate the path .. and choosing the wrong path will either mean retracing your steps or swimming.. and as today was one of the coldest days in QLD for a long time the later was not an option. but going the wrong way first is always in true geocacher style I say!
We bush bashed our way in from about 75metres which was also in true geocacher style. Phone GPS bouncing around until I put it down and just started to search. Phone said I was 13m out at GZ once found but I guarantee you that phone is a liar!
I'm going to open up a huge can of controversial worms here and admit that I did not open this cache as the CO intended. We patiently tried and poked and prodded but found another way to do this before it got damaged. I have confidence that this is still working as it should as it was found recently and opened quickly. It's like us whom have never had any experience picking locks before (apart from using the end of a spoon to open a standard bedroom door)
Favourite point from me.. I hope that people can take care not to wreck such a great idea so that everyone can enjoy it. Thank you to the CO for maintaining this!
Perhaps one day someone can bring along a similar cache container to an event and teach me the skills I require!

Time for one more before heading north and this became our target.
After finally finding a good access point, we made our way to GZ. Locating the cache, we took a seat and got to work. Didn't take too long, so I'm glad I watched the video.
Log signed, cache replaced. I feel like a real lock picker now. A FP from me.

I checked on the cache today and one of the tools is already bent, IT ONLY NEEDS A GENTLE TOUCH!, using excessive force will just make it harder to open and more likely to break it.
Thanks

I arranged to meet the CO at this cache as I did not want a repeat of the first cache happening.
The cache was found and we waited for the CO to arrive.
CO gave a demo and geopartner had a go and so did I.
The log was signed and we chatted about other caches.
Nice to meet you today two dollar.

Why is it that a cache with a challenge to do something that we never would do or shouldn't do moves to the top of the todo list?
Today I arrived to do the challenge, after a short bushbash I arrived at the GZ and after searching a few spots I located the cache container.
I moved over to the handy log nearby to use as a workbench, I extracted the box to break and enter and started the attack! I felt confident that I could open it after the short course video had been watched a few times before leaving this morning , 30 seconds later it was open Guess luck was on my side today .
Signed logsheet and replaced all as described in the video. 9:30 am
2 X TB visit.
A fav point too.

Find #463: Break and Enter on the 13 June 2015
Lucky I had a proffesional here to instruct me on how best to enter without breaking!
Had the cache open and the log signed in under 10 mins.
No sign of said snake but a pretty crazy party was happening in one of the neighbouring households.
This is an awesome cache and I hope it lasts for a long while to come!
Will return to award a fp when on computer.
Thanks for the cache two dollar!

I think I have a talent for this.
I walked to a few of the caches in this area. It was quite pleasant between the rain showers.
I arrived at GZ and watched the video. Looks simple enough. The mozzies were now starting to amass.
Right then lets give it a go. This bit here, that bit there, mozzies everywhere.
So a bit of a juggle now and hey presto the lock turns nice and easy.
It is great to see something different after almost 6000 finds. A favourite point from me.

After watching the two dollar YouTube video a few times I knew I could do it. So while on my travels I again park down the road and wandered over to GZ.
Now, after my last dismal effort of trying to unlock a broken lock, today was totally the opposite. As per the video tutorial I did what I had to do and bingo..........had it opened in about 20 seconds.
I signed the log and replaced the cache as found and headed back to the Geovan with a smile on my dial and a smiley on my map.
TFTC two dollar and defiantly worth one of our valued favorite points for originality.

After parking nearby it was a very pleasant stroll to GZ. The cache was soon in hand and with my tongue held correctly and a jiggle and shake the logbook was soon accessed. Once again I saw that I'd missed Mr Wesso by 40 minutes but no one was watching around here.
Once the log was signed all was returned as found.

I was in the area to see my in-laws and met dahumbug there to get some of his professional advice. It was a bit mean of me to make him work on a public holiday but I did suggest that we could do a quick break and enter around the corner to make it worth his while - the cache by that name of course, what were you thinking!
We took a leisurely stroll through the bushland and talked of many things before heading into the undergrowth at an appropriate point. I had watched the first video a while back but couldn't get here sooner and then had fun reading about the various adventures of this little box in the meantime! We arrived close to GZ and noticed a bit of activity on the creek which passed quickly. We spotted the hide and perused the tin and tools. I had the first go and to my surprise it popped open relatively easily. This was a bit unnerving considering how much trust one usually puts in these type of devices, so it has made me a little more aware of how easily and quickly someone could gain access with the right knowledge and tools!
Dahumbug also mastered it and we both signed our guilty pleas in the official log. Thanks two dollar for the fun and for showing us the possible weaknesses of everyday security.

After a long absence from caching, I was fortunate to meet up with NeverLostAU today to look at a glass enquiry for his family, and also commit a B 'N' E. Not as sinister as it sounds, but it did involve some lock picking skills...something I appear to have none of...actually I appear to be a locktard, and NeverLost was a wizard.
Glad I found this one when it was freshly enabled and free of 'red spanners'. I like the concept behind this one.

We made the walk along the banks of the river (I'm called it a river), past the kids throwing some crab pots in until we reached GZ. We quickly located the cache but gaining access was not quite so quick. SuzySquirrel and I waited while spinna76 did the best he could without causing any further damage. We finally had the log book in hand, signed the log and returned it all as found.

#1118 @ 2:38 PM ~ Arrived at GZ and before long had cache in hand. Upon inspecting the cylinder I could see that the wafers were damaged and a different approach would be required. Gained access to the logbook and signed our names. Lock is completely damaged and key no longer goes close to entering the cylinder let alone turning it. Interesting idea but think you're in for a lot of maintenance. ~ TFTC two dollar
May need a check as I broke the paperclip. Good luck to wesso family getting it open.
Found cache about 6m from gz. Previous searcher had broken wire off inside lock! After unsuccessful trying for one hour and fighting off mozzies, I give up! Maybe a rethinking is needed by CO, as I am sure this will be an ongoing issue!
Headed to GZ and came across a brown snake all coiled up and nearly stepped on him. He was lying on the leaves and was hard to see. That unnerved me. I don't scream but I do shake a bit. Stepped back and went around and onto GZ, looking carefully now. Found what I needed and sat down to work.
Jiggle jiggle jiggle, paperclip stuck. Where is spinna76 and Brother Colin when you need them.
Managed to get paperclip out but seems a bit shorter now. Texted CO and emailed spinna76 to go check it out. I will come back with someone who knows how to do it. Now where is that snake I have to evade to get out of here.

Foreign object has been removed, I have left an alternative for one of the tools, please don't lose it!!!
I spent a couple of minutes trying to open it with the new tool but the mozzies were killer, so didn't succeed, I'll try again after the weekend, but until then attempt at the risk of further issues.

Found at 1400.
Luckily, I wasn't working today and was in Sippy Downs when the alert came through to my phone.
A quick look at the map told me the cache wasn't far away, so I raced the geomobile towards Birtinya.
I put my faith in to my phone's voice guidance system and parked about 150 metres from GZ.
Bewdy! This will be easy......
I get close to GZ and realise I am on the wrong side of the fairly wide creek! Should I try and wade across...swim? NO.
So, after another study of the map, I raced back around the streets to another location not far away.
On foot now, I followed the path and soon saw the bridge mentioned in the cache description.
I looked around and couldn't see anyone, surely there must be another cacher here by now??
GZ was getting close again and I had to do a mini bush bash to arrive at my destination. Today was NOT a good day to be wearing thongs!
Ok, what do we have here? Lots of horizontal trees and logs. I started searching all the obvious spots and found nothing. The mozzies were having lunch (care of me) and I was getting flustered because I couldn't find a damn thing.
Just as I was about to phone the CO, I saw something I had walked past 20 minutes earlier.
It couldn't be.? Yes it could! Bingo, a cache
Now I had to figure out how to unlock this thing. A couple of views of the video and I had the basic idea.
So, while doing the mozzie slap dance, I somehow managed to open the container.
I still didn't really think I would be FTF, but I proved myself wrong and found a clean, virginal logbook!
I signed the log, grabbed the FTF prize and relocked/rehid the cache.
I really enjoyed this cache and hope everyone gives it a go.
