I just had time for one cache before leaving the area. This one was only a short walk from our accommodation along a pleasant looking green way. At GZ, there was only one place the cache could really be. Soon signed and replaced as found. After that, I headed back to load up the car and zoom off to the next point of our NZ adventure. Tftc
Nice little hide, committing to reaching it is part of the fun, no pen on board, refer to pic for log, found with kre8ive, tftc!
Another one on this series knocked off. Resident horse looked on as we made the find. TFTC!
Yes found! After a previous attempt located the likely location - seeing nothing of the hint item - I returned with gloves. The hint item is dark and I couldn't see it, but grasped cache directly with some rummaging! Thanks for interesting hide
Awesome hide, unfortunately the paper had ripped into pieces so I left a little paper.
Sorry not sure how to edit my note, paper ripped from being wet. Added new piece of paper.
Approached from the cycleway side making this a higher DT than listed. Once at GZ the hide location eventually presented itself.
Found the likely hint item, and the likely hide hole but had to pluck up some courage to stick my hand in! Felt for the other hint item and out came the cache. Felt like Indiana Jones! SL TFTC
Went back today with my son who found the cache within a minute Great to turn a blue face into a yellow smiley TFTC
Down in Rotorua for a few days break and hopefully will do plenty of geocaches! Had a case of cache blindness with this one - maybe another day....
Yep... Didn't get stoned. But I did slipped on the wet grass. Grrrr
A quick easy find, grab, sign and flee.
TFTC

Made this way harder than was necessary, but soon narrowed down the right place and had the cache in hand. Took a much easier way heading back, TFTC
Hubby said to cross the tracks and I told him we wouldn’t need to, but we did
Nice hide

#1046 - On a Geocache mission from Tauranga today. It was a very very foggy day in Rotorua. After we figured how to get up here, we spent way to long looking in the wrong place. Doh. After we sussed the 1st part of the clue it, we had to find the string! Tricky tricky, but we got it in the end. Tftc.
Pull the string huh.
You've got to find it first. Tried yesterday without success. Was where I first looked
Worth a fav
Thanks for your amazing cache.

Slightly better than the last three. The hint didn't make sense until we found the cache and then we understood it. Got asked if everything was okay by a local as we were standing around as the area is very exposed..
Followed what i thought was the path only to find I was on the wrong side of the tracks. Backtracked a fair bit to get to the right side as, it being a Sunday morning, I felt too conspicuous going up the bank with all the houses overlooking this area. Once at the right spot I missed the cache on the first pass, had to wait out some muggles stopping at a house nearby and finally, able to try again, made the find. Nice hide spiderhouse!
While in Rotorua for several days on a Hutt Valley Tramping Club trip riding and walking some of the local trails we spent time with livingk and gpetone loking for geocaches and found this one. TFTC
Out doing a few local caches and a maintenance run on the way home. Checked all good here. Replaced the log.
This had me looking for awhile. Eventually found it in first place I had looked. Tftc
This one made me go commando to find, whereas the dog just wanted the muddy puddle. Onto the next
Found this on our return bike ride from ngongotaha. Searched for it on the way there but left it and decided to try again on our return. Were looking in the right place all along. Managed to find on our return. What a great hide. TFTC
On a fun cycle caching ride with tramyard, gorby, and SOLRAC TWO. The four of us had a great day riding the trails, finding caches and stopping for lunch at Ngongotaha. TFTC!!!
In Rotorua for the weekend to celebrate an event for GC45, now in Rotorua with FMZ doing this Breakfast trail he on his e-bike and me my cool e-scooter. Tramyard and SOLRAC TWO are on the old school bikes, you know the type, you have to exert yourself.
Pulled up here, and up the little hill to the railway tracks, about a 4m section of the track has been undermined, wouldn't wanna go over this section in a train! Took Tramyard awhile to find this cache, couldn't work out what took him so long...lol! I suppose I could have lent a hand, but that would have meant bending down.
Bagels and cream cheese, I must try that combination sometime. Cream cheese goes well with salmon or cucumber btw.

It often happens differently than expected. I started cycling around the lake after breakfast, but not for Breakfast. Preliminary to ride a bike. I realised, Gorbygorbachov, funkymunkyzone and tramyard, whom I met yesterday. We drove, looked for caches after breakfast, talked and drank coffee together. Thank you for the delicious Breakfast suggestions, the caches and the accompaniment. TFTC
Found it during lovely bike trip on Sunday morning with great company of FMZ, Gorby and SOLRAC TWO. Tricky one! Started searching at wrong side! Then spotted. T4TC
We found this cache during our holidays, on a round trip in Rotorua.
Thanks for showing!
Best regards bhudi from Germany

Continuing our caching adventure with AFBEE, GW78 and ondago. Hate to leave this area as we have enjoyed exploring here... need to come back! TFTFun spiderhouse
Our caching journey with AF-Bee, GeoWench78 and 6ftzp&1/2zip continues as our time in NZ is coming to a close. Short walk from where we parked the car. Enjoyed the nice weather and the conversations. The cache took a little more effort to locate. Tall grass made it harder to find. Thanks again spiderhouse for this breakfast series.
Found with AF BEE, 6ftzpr&1/2zip, and ondago while on a geocaching vacation. Thanks for placing this cache.
OCW GeoWench78, ondago and 6ftzpr&1/2zip between Taupo and Tauranga...stopped in Rotorua for a few caches...worked on a few of the Breakfast series...short walk and a not so easy hide...TFTC!
Found during a Sunday walk. This one was a bit tricky to find. Thanks for the cache and greetings from Sweden.
*Arrived to New Zealand and Auckland from Stockholm, Sweden via Bangkok for a two week group travel. In Auckland we toured the city, sailed in the harbor and visited Waiheke Island. Continued with bus to Rotorua via Huntly and the interesting Waitomo Caves. Outside Rotorua we visited Wai-o-tapu, the impressive and active geothermal area, and the Tamaki Maori Village. Continued by air to Wellington with a visit to the museum Te Papa and the exhibition about Gallipoli as well as the cable car up to the Botanical Garden. The next day we went by ferry to the South Island in very nice weather accompanied by dolphins/purpoises. Via the Marlborough vine district we came to Nelson were we stayed two nights. The next day we went to Abel Tasman National Park, a lovely day trip by boat and foot. Then by bus to Hokitika via Murchinson, Punakaiki (the impressive pancake rocks) and Greymouth (beer tasting at the Monteith’s brewery). The day after it started to rain on the way to Franz Josef and it rained heavily on the walk to the Franz Josef Glacier of which we saw nothing. The leap day was spent by bus to Wanaka via Lake Matheson (with a nice walk around the lake and a view of Mount Cook and Mount Tasman), Haast and Makarora. The next day we continued to Te Anau via Cromwell, Gibbston Winery and Kawarau Bridge (with bungy jumps but not me). The next day we went to Milford Sound in the Fiordland National Park. Luckily it was opened a few days earlier after heavy rains that damaged the road, so the bus traffic was restricted with convoy driving three times a day. The boat trip in the fjord was very very nice. After that we travelled via Te Anau to Queenstown, the last stop. The day after was spent sightseeing and geocaching with a last dinner at Walter Peak High Country farm with a boat trip on Lake Dunstan with TSS Earnslaw. The next morning we started the long way back to Sweden via Auckland and Bangkok. All in all a very nice group travel to a very nice country!*

Was the wrong side of the water and had to backtrack. Once on the right side I soon found the cache. I signed the log and then I replaced the cache container as it was found.

On day 6 of our 5 week road trip in NZ. After spending time at the Buried Village I asked my muggle hubby to drive me to a couple of caches I needed to complete a “food pyramid “ challenge. I needed a dairy and bread product so the cream cheese or bagel will help me out. My muggle hubby helped me find this one sitting in the car! I hadn’t even told him the hint. I spent about 5 minutes looking as he watched me and then he said “check there” and there it was. He should be a geocacher! TFTC
I really liked this trail along the old railway tracks.
I had to look for some cans longer and some I could not find.
Thanks for this cache says Pöni.

#7697. We drove down from Auckland today to visit my family in Rotorua and of course have a look for a few geocaches while in town. Had an hour or so in the evening to do some caching after dinner. I have found most of this series so it was good to try and get the rest (although one tricky one has eluded me). Parked in the wrong spot and had to go elsewhere to avoid the moat. Once on the correct path I was soon at GZ and had the cache in hand within a minute. Bit exposed over here but hopefully the locals were not sure what I was up to if looking from behind twitching curtains. Signed the logbook and returned the cache as found, Thanks spiderhouse for the cache.
We walked up and down this path finding al the caches. It was quite warm but that made it even more rewarding.
Thanks for the caches
Thanks for the caches
Our fourth find in this series today and our mouths were really beginning to water.
This was the most difficult so far and we almost gave up when all of a sudden there it was.
Very nicely hidden. TFTC.

Had another go at this one on the return journey. Successful this time! We had a great afternoon as a family geocaching along this trail. Would recommend long pants to protect against BlackBerry though! Tftc
Found as a part of a previous group TanjackMüley, aka WanderingSparrow. Now I'm continuing on my own. TFTC
Good hide. Invisible to the untrained muggler. Took coue minutes of searching. Tftc.
I was down in Rotorua for the weekend and this afternoon went for a walk along the walkway from Ngongotaha with a group of friends and their kids, working on the Breakfast series and letting the kids do most of the navigating and finding - I just signed the logs! TFTC!
(# 5150). On a trip to the Bay of Plenty to visit relatives and decided to grab some caches as well. Decided to walk the cycleway and get some of the Breakfast series. A quick find. Everything in order. TFTC
Having been to Hamilton for the night to attend our daughters graduation, we then headed here. Mr Rattll had things to attend to in Whakatane, so dropped Mrs Rattll off in Rotorua for a days caching (on foot), before heading home tonight.
So he dropped me off at the end of this trail to begin my day's walk.
I apologise for the simple 'name' log which is pretty rough, but with my right hand in a cast, it wasn't easy to write.
There were quite a few muggles in this area, so I had to walk past GZ and double back once the coast was clear. The find was an easy one thanks to a good clue, although it needs a new log sheet.
Thanks spiderhouse

Here visiting from Taranaki and decided to do this trail while we are in town. Loved this series. Lots of yummy breakfast combos and great hides. Had lots of fun.
Haha had to laugh at this hint quick find!

In Rotorua for Easter with Jag50 with the aim to put a smiley face on as many caches as we can. Lucky Mrs Jag looked where I had, as I missed it but she found it
On a road trip north, enjoying the day and pic up some caches. TFTC

Caching trip to New Zealand and Australia with Kirss. We started the day with this cache, after breakfast at hotel. It took some time to find this even we started in the right place. Tricky hiding. Greetings from Finland. TFTC
