Cache container missing. Again! Maintaining this cache has been a regular issue and I am no longer sufficiently mobile to replace or repair it, so with regret it is being archived.

#1045 - On a Geocache mission from Tauranga today. It was a very very foggy day in Rotorua.
A nice walk down to this one, didn't get the hint until we eventually found it . Tftc.

23-Apr-21
The hint eventually made sense after stumbling across the cache buried near the hint object. Fairy half and kids not impressed. Took quite some convincing to get them to do a few more caches here.

23-Apr-21
Did with Crystal Fairy.

24-Feb-21
Great hint, enjoyed this find.

21-Feb-21
A distinct track near GZ but I had read the hint (so as to be able to be as fast as possible what with the amount of people out and about on this walk and cycle way) and knew not to follow that. Nice hide spiderhouse. This has been the fastest find so far this morning.

On a fun cycle caching ride with tramyard, gorby, and SOLRAC TWO. The four of us had a great day riding the trails, finding caches and stopping for lunch at Ngongotaha. TFTC!!!

07-Jun-20
In Rotorua for the weekend to celebrate an event for GC45, now in Rotorua with FMZ doing this Breakfast trail he on his e-bike and me my cool e-scooter. Tramyard and SOLRAC TWO are on the old school bikes, you know the type, you have to exert yourself.

Now I love scrambled eggs, but with tomatoe!! Not for me. I have seen bacon and egg pies with tomotoe, the bakery owner should be shot! A hideous crime punishable by death.

Loving this awesome trail, the weather is kind and we 4 are yakking as we go along, thanks for the trail spiderhouse.

07-Jun-20
It often happens differently than expected. I started cycling around the lake after breakfast. Preliminary to ride a bike. I saw a place to find a cache, but didn't search long enough. Someone said a few minutes earlier, 3 people were also there. I found the trio a few hundred meters away. Gorbygorbachov, funkymunkyzone and tramyard, whom I met yesterday. We drove, looked for caches after breakfast, talked and drank coffee together. Thank you for the delicious breakfast suggestions, the caches and the accompaniment. TFTC

07-Jun-20
Found it during lovely bike trip on Sunday morning with great company of FMZ, Gorby and SOLRAC TWO. Nice one! As per gold hint!

Found during a Sunday walk. Easy once I understood the hint. Thanks for the cache and greetings from Sweden.

*Arrived to New Zealand and Auckland from Stockholm, Sweden via Bangkok for a two week group travel. In Auckland we toured the city, sailed in the harbor and visited Waiheke Island. Continued with bus to Rotorua via Huntly and the interesting Waitomo Caves. Outside Rotorua we visited Wai-o-tapu, the impressive and active geothermal area, and the Tamaki Maori Village. Continued by air to Wellington with a visit to the museum Te Papa and the exhibition about Gallipoli as well as the cable car up to the Botanical Garden. The next day we went by ferry to the South Island in very nice weather accompanied by dolphins/purpoises. Via the Marlborough vine district we came to Nelson were we stayed two nights. The next day we went to Abel Tasman National Park, a lovely day trip by boat and foot. Then by bus to Hokitika via Murchinson, Punakaiki (the impressive pancake rocks) and Greymouth (beer tasting at the Monteith’s brewery). The day after it started to rain on the way to Franz Josef and it rained heavily on the walk to the Franz Josef Glacier of which we saw nothing. The leap day was spent by bus to Wanaka via Lake Matheson (with a nice walk around the lake and a view of Mount Cook and Mount Tasman), Haast and Makarora. The next day we continued to Te Anau via Cromwell, Gibbston Winery and Kawarau Bridge (with bungy jumps but not me). The next day we went to Milford Sound in the Fiordland National Park. Luckily it was opened a few days earlier after heavy rains that damaged the road, so the bus traffic was restricted with convoy driving three times a day. The boat trip in the fjord was very very nice. After that we travelled via Te Anau to Queenstown, the last stop. The day after was spent sightseeing and geocaching with a last dinner at Walter Peak High Country farm with a boat trip on Lake Dunstan with TSS Earnslaw. The next morning we started the long way back to Sweden via Auckland and Bangkok. All in all a very nice group travel to a very nice country!*

Find number 6761. Stopped for this one on my way home at 8 pm so it was more supper than breakfast. I had been here once before but had no luck. All quiet here today but it would not matter as the cache was quickly located. Not like last time. Pleased to tick it off today. Thank you for the placement.

18-Jan-20
Found together with Friends. tftc logged as rejseholdet greetings from Denmark

18-Jan-20
Definitely missing replaced, if it disappears again we will archive it. A lot of the sleepers have had a large " X " marked on them which makes us think they are about to be stolen, because all the good ones are marked and the bad are not. We noticed after we left several people standing around at GZ. Turns out they were cachers from Denmark. If we had been just a little later we could have met up and had a mini event. Sorry we missed them.

(# 5149). On a trip to the Bay of Plenty to visit relatives and decided to grab some caches as well. Decided to walk the cycleway and get some of the Breakfast series. A quick find. Everything in order. It is a very small world as I met Mrs Rattll while on my walk. Had a bit of a natter as we are both from out of town. TFTC

08-May-19
Having been to Hamilton for the night to attend our daughters graduation, we then headed here. Mr Rattll had things to attend to in Whakatane, so dropped Mrs Rattll off in Rotorua for a days caching (on foot), before heading home tonight.
So he dropped me off at the end of this trail to begin my day's walk.
I apologise for the simple 'name' log which is pretty rough, but with my right hand in a cast, it wasn't easy to write.
I was grateful for the hint here as the trail up the bank would have been very tempting to try otherwise. It was hard to pinpoint an exact GZ so it was a matter of trying likely spots, and the cache was soon in hand.
As I headed away from here I spotted someone acting suspiciously like a geo cacher and sure enough they were. Nice to catch up with a familiar face all the way from Wellington, so we enjoyed a bit of a catch up before heading off in different directions
Thanks for setting this up spiderhouse

04-May-19

22-Mar-19
Glad I read the hint for this on my approach to GZ as I would of been straight up the red herring of a geotrail. A short search and cache was in hand. SLAR

Parked Zara in Kawaha Point Rd while I walk some more of this cycleway.
Bacon and eggs - happy to leave the tomatoes. Snagged and tagged along this walkway but not before going up the bank following the geotrail. Cheers

Day 10 - Sunday- Lets go exploring Rotorua today by myself. The Seagnoid with family today.
The Seagnoid, Zara and I are on another epic caching adventure for the next two weeks, starting with the Wellington Mega, then East Cape, Tauranga, Waihi, Rotorua and back to Wellington. Its been an awesome journey, over 2500 klms later, visiting many amazing places. Thanks to all COs

15-Oct-18
This was the second day of my twelve day trip to go to the Wellington Mega. Today I am in Rotorua for the full day to see if I can make a dent in the number of caches that are here.
There seemed to be many, many placed this one could be hidden. Just for drill, I went up the slope to see if my GPSr would get a better fix. I then found the cache and noticed the extremely obvious hint that I hadn't seen up to this point. TFTC.
