I needed a little push to get started, but from there, the puzzle unravelled beautifully. After a morning of driving our RAV4 in conditions better suited to a 4WD, it was nice to stretch our legs as we made our way to GZ.At GZ, we discovered a treasure chest. With the log signed, everything was replaced as found, ready for the next treasure hunter. Thanks Jamin Appleford for an excellent puzzle and hide.
What a convoluted puzzle that one was.Having had it in the solved pile for some time yesterday was the first time I was in the area to have my name added to the logbook.Travelling back from the CITO in Wodonga, via Yackandandah and Beechworth, with dalerious and catnap777, on a lovely sunny day, but with a chilly breeze.A favourite point for the treasure which still glitters in the sunlight when opened, and has been returned to its hiding place, nothing taken but a memory, and a very appreciated 4.5/2 D/T, thanks Jamin Appleford.
Well that was hairy as hell. First real time of mountain biking on the E-bikes and lets say rail trails suit me better Off in another adventure with Kittykatch. Enjoying our stay at Beechworth with the bikes. Day 3 Thanks for getting me out and about Jamin Appleford
Beechworth Road Trip !I joined up with Joolay for a Xmas road trip to the Beechworth area. to pick up some solved, puzzles and multis. It was fun to get our bikes out on the track today and great to pick up this cache at lastThanks for the hide Jamin Appleford

Day 3 of the birthday/Fathers Day Kelly Country caching trip. Driving from Beechworth to Mansfield today, targeting specific caches to bump up our DT average and work towards a local challenge… we’ll call it a day when we run out of light!
Hard puzzle! Quite a pleasant walk to GZ though… the cache is in fine condition… TFTC!

Day 3 of our Ned Kelly Country roadtrip, Beechworth to Mansfield!
The last full day of caching, so we’re making the most of it! Grabbing whatever we can (above 2/2) along the way, and also grabbing a few caches in Beechworth this morning.
A very nice DT, a very hard puzzle, another one we needed plenty of help for! A pleasant walk into GZ, and once I rolled the tombstone out of the way the treasure was found! TNLN SL, all in good condition!
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache Jamin Appleford!

Well, that was a journey!!
AND we found it in the dark!
We needed to reverse engineer to sort the puzzle… the web site is defunct.
But, there is an explanation of it by Claybol… you need the way back machine to get the Web page…. Good luck and may Khufu be with you.
A fav point for all the things we learnt along the way.
TFTC and headaches!

That was a tough one. I needed some assistance solving it.
I am amazed that you could get here to GZ without upsetting the locals. I nice treasure trove was found but I left it for the others. Tucked the container safely back in its hiding spot and carefully got out of there.
Thanks for the fun Jamin Appleford

I loved the story about this cache as I have Egyptian heritage on my side, but I don't mind admitting that that was about as far as I got to knowing how to solve this puzzle. Dalerious and I were here signing a log that he had not visited before and it was such a fantastic place to wander around. I gave my knee a good workout jogging along the trail. There was another reason I was jogging to and from the car, a thunderstorm was approaching fast and we just made it to the car before it bucketed down. The cache was found safe and snug all tucked away. We hope that eventually we will gain the knowledge to work this calibre of puzzle out ourselves without assistance as we enjoy the satisfaction we get when we achieve just that. Thanks JA for another wonderful challenge .
I had help.
catnapp777 and I had spent a most amazing day out chasing Appleford and Kelly caches when a flat tyre hindered our progress. [:o]
We had that changed pretty quick but lost the confidence to be bashing around the mountains without a spare.
We spent the rest of the arvo playing around in Beechworth instead. [^]
I had been sitting on the solve for this puzzle, but was holding onto it till I fully understood it. I still don't, but we were right there and this will not be the first time I have signed an Appleford log and solved the puzzle later.
Without cat' by my side I don't think we would have signed this log before the rain started bucketing down.
TFTC Jamin. The treasure is safe and sound securely hidden from future plunderers. [8)]

Mr Morris has a few weeks off but with border restrictions we thought we'd do a slow lap of Victoria while we had some good weather.
After 3 nights at the lovely Forest Camp campgrounds in the Warbys it was time to head to Beechworth and catch up with Betty Boo and Robmc for a couple of days.
After abandoning the members of the party who chose to have a snooze Robmc and Lady Morris joined Feathertop to resolve some DNFs and pick up a couple of Mystery caches they had solved. A tricky puzzle but luckily we know some tricky people who put us on the right track.

What an intriguing puzzle.
I was in the company of Mrs Morris this afternoon to make the find.
Certainly well hidden too.
Cheers

As our planned South Aussie trip was knocked on the head because of Co-vid 19 restrictions we decided on an alternate plan and decided to come to Wangaratta to pick up a few caches before the mega. We joined forces with alansee, maccamob,McLookers, micaparamedic and Phetlern for a day full of laughter, caches and fantastic scenery.
Being locked in for Covid gave us a lot of time trying our luck on solving some puzzles, some were reasonably easy but this one was not. We had a few false starts and a bit of googling and we actually had stuff coming together but that's where it ended and we hit another wall. Knowing that we were heading up this way soon we rang a previous finder for a small hint and after banging our palms into our foreheads several times for not seeing this we worked through and had a set of co-ords. Today was the day that we were heading out to try our luck on the physical side of this cache and happily the treasure was located quickly and we added our acronym to the log.
To save room in the smaller logs we used the acronym CAMMMP being a combinations of our team names.
Thanks once more for the cache Jamin Appleford

What a day - puzzles solved in preparation for the adventure, trads which showed us some amazing scenery or a peep into local history, plus multis quickly solved on site!
So much fun and laughter, as we made our way from Wang through Stanley, Beechworth, Yackandandah and return together with, Alansee, McLookers, Micaparamedic & Team Crackers. For economy of logspace we signed in with the acronym CAMMMP.
North Eastern Victoria is quickly becoming the Geocachers playground
Oops -- no caches in playgrounds!
Our thanks to Jamin Appleford for placing such interesting caches on the gameboard.

Found by Mary and David, in company with TeamCrackers, Alansee, McLookers, micaparamedic and phetlern (signing as CAMMMP), at 13:15. Plenty of steps on offer for us today, with our convoy planning a loop from our Wangaratta base through Stanley, Beechworth and Yackandanda. A great puzzle and a quick find (with 7 searchers). Interesting 'treasure' too. Our thanks to Jamin Appleford.
Surprises always in store when certain people dream up their next puzzle to conflate big brains. I had an idea that pleased me no end, so with another nudge the treasured numbers were revealed. Headed out on the MTB to locate the final jewel. TFTC, location and FUN. A fave for all that
What a clever puzzle !!! After hitting a mental roadblock, a kind nudge from the CO, and I was on the way to the solve ... a lovely walk to GZ today, and after a bit of a search around the natural camo, the cache was in hand, TFTC Jamin
Sincere apologies for not logging this sooner. Just cleaning up my old phone and found about 100 caches that I haven't logged. Thankfully, Papi4506, RoamingHowie and OzHockeyChick didn't forget so I can log it on the correct date. Thanks for bringing us in here. We made a special day to look for as many mine caches as we could and this was high on the list.
During the covid lockdown, GT37 buddy bubbled with OHC and this is one of many that they worked out. Well GT learned how to do the puzzle and OHC did the work and the teaching. Thanks for the puzzle and the nice walk to get this cache.
Day seven of Beechworth camping road trip with Papi4506, Geoturtle37 & RoamingHowie, working our way through various must-dos.
Trying to solve all the puzzles in the area before we headed up from Melbourne. This was one that had me stumped for a long time. I lost count of how many different things I tried.
Eventually I resorted to asking a previous solver for a small nudge, and that was all I needed to get me started.
A very clever puzzle, and another new skill learnt.
A fav point heading your way.

Day #5 for me of the cache adventure with OzHockeyChick, GeoTurtle37 and Papi4506. Today’s aim is to finish of the randolphs and some other part finished caches and possibly end in Wangaratta to complete a night cache.
I spent the night around the campfire trying to solve this one. I got part way there but wasn’t sure how to get the parts I needed. A nudge in the right direction helped to formulate something that might produce co ordinates. A while later by torchlight and I had the coordinates. Today we took the rewarding stroll to find this cache and found it after a bit of a search. It hasn’t been found for a while so this will help with my unloved tally. A clever puzzle
Thanks Jamin Appleford for the cache.

In the area today so I stopped by and checked on the cache. All good and a nice amount of natural camo in place now.
What an awesome puzzle. I had a hint from a previous solver, and then I was off to the solve. We did a quick walk early in the morning as we knew it was going to be hot today. The hide was soon found, signed and replaced. A favourite from me.TFTC Jamin Appleford
beckNmonts did the hard yards on this puzzle...and she found the well tucked away cache too after overlooking it on the first pass. Thanks Jamin Appleford, a favourite from me.
After some careful planning and lots of puzzle solving homework, TikvaNZ, ZXQ, Fox in Jox and I headed to the Albury Wodonga area on a geocaching mission over the weekend. We targeted high DT caches, but also found some lower DT caches in order to maximize our DT combinations on the Saturday. I got 36 different DT combinations, which I was more than happy with. On the Sunday, fewer caches, but ones we had specifically selected to help us with various personal challenges. A great weekend, good company and lots of fun on our Great Southern Puzzle Plunder!
23rd of the day at 1530. By now it was clear we would make our goal of 25DT combinations in one day, it was a question of when and which ones to collect.
This puzzle was a bit confusing for a while, but a subtle direction had me on track and a suitable GZ to explore. It was a bit tricky figuring out the best way to access the GZ for this cache, but after trying to access using a golf track, we decided to access a different way! A nice walk and a determined look in a deep hole had the CIH in reasonable time. Nice puzzle and GZ, TFTC!

The Great Southern Puzzle Plunder plan had been hatched. ZQX, TikvaNZ, AngelG27 and I would travel from Canberra to Albury and northern Vic regions for a great weekend of puzzle finds and other assorted caches that would achieve various goals for each of us. Prior to our departure, we worked our way through a list of puzzles over a few weeks to get Final coords. We then departed Canberra at 5am and returned at 7pm the following evening, fairly pooped. I managed to find 50 different D/T combinations over the 2 days, 42 on Saturday. A huge amount of fun...and some terrible jokes and puns throughout.
Given that I started to solve this after the others, I got an early nudge. I worked my way through some research and arrived at a likely spot, which gave me some ideas. Then the puzzle unfolded nicely.
Here's a track that looks like it's heading in the right direction - no dog legs or bunkers. Oh...hang on - we're on a golf course. Suddenly our language changed. We felt wedged. We should drive around. Yes...putt to where? Our nav was just not up to par. Wood the alternative track be okay? Watch out...don't run over the birdie. Fore-tunately, we managed to arrive at a good spot. It was hot. I had a drink with a screw-top lid. It was such a handi-cap. There were lots of trees. I looked for a hole in one. Nothing. But then the find. A true treasure, with a capital tee. The puzzle was fun. The links connecting each bit was great.
Alright...enough. TFTC JA. A favourite for the fun.

A Southern Puzzle Plunder was hatched a few weeks ago for this weekend with ZQX, AngelG27 and Fox in Jox. Much puzzle solving homework ensured with a focus on the higher D/T combinations, and also finding specific caches to fulfill the requirements for some challenges. The specific plan/route was only finalised over the last few days; start with the Nutty November series, pick off challenges and puzzles from around Beechworth and back to Albury, find interesting traditionals on the way that would help us qualify for a challenge to find 25 D/T combinations in a day, finish the day over dinner with a another Canberra caching team also caching in the area, overnight in Albury, pick off challenges and puzzles from around Chiltern and back to Albury, and finally aim to be home before dark.
We left Canberra at 5am, and found the first cache in Yackandandah at 9am, finishing for the day just before midnight. On the Sunday we started around 7am and left Albury soon after 3pm, arriving home around 7pm.
The mission exceeded expectations, with several caching goals achieved amongst the team. Our individual statistics varied a little, due to previous finds and other personal goals. I passed the 7500 finds mark and ended up with 48 finds on the Saturday (with over 40 unique D/T combinations) and another 13 finds on the Sunday (involving lots more walking). Overall we found about half the pool of puzzles and challenges we had pre-prepared as possibilities, so we'll be back again sometime.
This was my 26th find for the day. I relied on the others for the solution to this one. Cache soon spotted. Well hidden. TFTC.

On a day when I was home from work unexpectedly, I decided to knuckle down on this puzzle. I had looked briefly at it a few times in the past, but put it aside. My first idea went nowhere, but I noticed something interesting while trying that idea.
Next I tried some research. I stumbled across something that looked pretty interesting. When I investigated further, I realised I had it. But there was still more work to do. Twenty or so minutes later I had the solution and I danced happily for a few seconds.
Thx JA for a unique puzzle.
The trip to GZ is hard to describe without giving away the rough location of the cache. Suffice to say that at one point we were somewhere where we should not have been.

It's not often these days I get a leave pass for not one night, but two, so I leapt at the chance to come caching up the North East, where my last occasion was 2 years ago. Joined with my caching buddy Pacman, who's happy like me to go caching day and night. We had our eyes on some adventure, scenery, scenic views and of course some rare DT! We had a successful weekend managing to squeeze in quiet a bit over our time here, and despite torrential rain Friday, has great weather Friday and Saturday. A massive massive thanks to each and every CO who placed caches for us to find, you provided much entertainment and showed us the sights of your beautiful countryside.
A clever puzzle that one I had a hint was able to find the right information needed. Certainly not one i have ever come across before.
A nice walk today and easy find with the hint used - Cheers and thanks!

This turned out to be quite an adventurous caching roadtrip to the Albury/Wodonga region with Jacko83. Targetting some of the higher DT caches meant we spend a few days hiking, climbing and 4WDing in wonderful places - exactly the type of caching we enjoy the most !
With most of the homework done before the trip this was a quick find for us this morning.
TFTH.

I had a look at this puzzle when it first came out, but had not idea about it. But then a couple of cachers wanted to put caches in a blank area of the map, but were refused by the reviewer as being too close to a puzzle's physical way point. The CO was contacted and gave BB a hint.
Back to the drawing board!
Found a start, but it took a bit of pencil and paper before we had some numbers. (I had never seen this type of puzzle before - interesting!) Ran the checker and got a Success.
BB rushed out to find it. Sorry wrong number quoted in the checker - try again.
Looked again, but still no banana!
We went out to review what she had found for her new cache (and look again for this one).
Took the dogs, but they lost interest too fast to find the final.
Finally found it where we had looked a few times before (right where the clue says!)
Nice hide, and a good puzzle.
Thanks, Robmc.

#10790. Firstly - a favourite point for this one. This was a great little puzzle that fell wonderfully into place once we were on the right track. In the past I had only glanced at this but we got down to the serious business of trying to solve it a week or so ago for several reasons. Thanks Jamin for offering 2 words that put us on the correct path to wisdom.
As you are aware I had already spent a few frustrating hours searching for this blighter and had all but given up. There are only so many places you can keep searching. My brainwave came in the form of Rob who EVENTUALLY found it in the place I had searched several times. Most annoying. To save myself yet another trip to GZ I signed the log book in advance with 27/8/16 so that I could save it and log it today. I am sure you will understand! Anyhow, spot on coordinates, a great cache when we did finally have it in hand and it is definitely safe from muggles where it is.
Thanks Jamin Appleford

I have to admit a big DNF (well 3 DNF's really) after having wasted at least 2 hours over 3 visits since yesterday afternoon. Two searches were at the apparently incorrect coordinates, according to the checker and the final search was at the solved puzzle coordinates. I won't be visiting this one again unless I have a brainwave and that is unlikely.
On our way home from 2 weeks of travelling around Victoria, experiencing the beauty that our state has to offer and venturing into remote areas that we would never have known existed before caching.
After spending 2 nights nearby at Yackandandah, we headed for Beechworth with only one pre solved puzzle, with the intent of picking it up and moving on. That never happened of coarse as we were intrigued with the lovely historical town, with its old buildings, lake and gorge running in the middle of the township and not forgetting the copious amounts of caches everywhere.
This puzzle was challenging to solve with its mysterious theme from days gone by, but totally solvable as the FTFer said in their log with it all fitting into place nicely giving you a set of coords that the checker agrees with. We are totally amazed this Mystery has few finders.
Arriving as close as we could to GZ we enjoyed the short walk to find our Khufu's treasure and put our name in the log as 2TF, noting the irony of the hide.
Thanks very much Jamin Appleford for the brilliantly put together puzzle, we look forward to nutting out more of them. A favourite added for the puzzle and location.

Didn't have much time to look at the puzzle on publication but a quiet Sunday night saw us having a good look.
There were a couple of points to the puzzle that stuck out to us, but trying to find out why proved the harder part. Bit more research and we had found the method to solve it, and must say its something I've never come across before.
Nicely pieced together puzzle , interesting and also what I call a true puzzle, everything needed to solve it in front of you and in no part a "guess what this is" type which seem to be increasingly popular these days.
Great job.
