What a beautiful informative Park. A nice quick find but we have no pen so have taken a photo. TFTC

G'day Duncan! I managed to convince the muggles to let me stop in here, the littlest of the muggles came up with the find. Tftc Liz and Bruce
Stopped in Maryborough on our way through to Hervey Bay and tried to find somewhere for a coffee and bite to eat. Absolutely everything was closed at 2:45 pm on a Monday afternoon, but the place redeemed itself when we found there was a cache here to be found. What a great spot with such interesting statues etc. Just loved the memorials. Thanks for showing this to us. Nicely hidden cache. MrMagoo72 and I signed the log and returned to read the rest of the info here .
TFTC what a spot the memorial park is so interesting worth the stop. Took photo as pen didn’t work to well
This cache had me walking around in circles for a while. Finally zeroed in on the hiding place.

I have come to Hervey Bay to visit family again for a few days and after a drop off of the kids, it was back to Maryborough to catch up with a highschool friend. Unfortunately she wasn't going to be finished work for another few hours. Fortunately I knew exactly how to fill in that time.
Quick find here.

Found!
Sundays are the best for this one, not a lot of people around!
Duncan says hi!
Our pen wouldn’t work on the slippery paper so took a photo to show we found it

Back in Maryborough today after a restless night on the train.
With a bit of a busy day on the cards we were looking for a quick drive by for today. Despite being slightly concerned at the empty gardens I found the cache in position at one of the only other hiding spots around.
Getting the log out of the cache was a bit of a challenge as was signing it because my pen started to play up a little. After we put the cache back I was told that during the floods a few years back the water level came up to the boats so it actually looked like they were floating!

Found with Crafty Dusty and the geopooches. Such a shame Duncan survived Gallipoli, but never made it home. We live around the corner from the Town and Country hotel, where another Duncan loved to have a beer. TFTC!
After aa quick howdy to Funcan, the cache was soon in hand

In Maryborough for a few days, a beautiful park and sculpture.
Our pen didn’t like the log paper but we managed to mark a spare spot further down.

Found with Cosmonaut97 and Firebatman88 on our long weekend away in Maryborough
Found with silverfox1970 and firebatman88 during our Maryborough weekend. Found relatively quickly with minimal muggles around. To top it off, the train came past which delighted the entire family. TFTC.
Sitting in Brisbane last week, knowing that the wife had a girls weekend planned in Noosa and wondering what to do with the long weekend. I decided that the motor home needed a run and the target was this the geocaching 101 power trail a few jolly brolleys and a smattering of local caches.
After spending the night in the Alan and June Brown car park which is a great spot to stay for free in town I headed out to start what I hoped would be my biggest day of caching yet. My previous best was 78 so I was pretty confident I could break that record today. I also had my best month target in sight so I was quiet excited.
All caches where found well and in good condition all signed and returned to there hiding spots. Very very happy to turn these caches into smilies.
A really big thank you to all the cache owners and maintainers for making these caches available to be found.
A really fun day was and I’m sure my numbers will look a lot healthier after what was a big day in the Maryborough region.
Cheers

A very attractive park and well maintained here. Love all the trees. Looks like they’re ready to plant some more garden beds in. Cache safe and dry. TFTC
We very much appreciated the installation that this is near, both for the message and the artistic design that they have used to communicate it. Even more fitting as we are up here for the Anzac Day ‘weekend’. The geocache itself was found quickly and in the first spot that The Marble suggested. A passing muggle with their puppy didn’t notice a thing! It looks like they are ready to do a bit of replanting here, which will make the area even more attractive.TFTC, Liz and Bruce. =^.^=
A little walk around the lovely gardens and we found the well hidden cache. Log signed and replaced as found. Thanks Liz and Bruce for another one.
Staying in Maryborough for a couple of days, on route to Hervey Bay to visit our friendly Muggles.
Sunday is a nice quiet day to spend caching around town and parks.
Thanks for bringing us here.

Alyce and I made a spontaneous trip to Maryborough and brought the 4 youngest along for the ride. Our goal for the day was to grab the Brolly that we solved recently, but we forgot to download the list and had no internet when we arrived, so we decided to head into town to clean up some caches instead.
It was an action packed day filled with adventures and fun times. The kiddies enjoyed the experience but grew tired towards the end of the day. All in all we all had a fantastic day exploring Maryborough and the surrounding areas.
There wasn’t many places this cache could be which meant finding the cache was pretty easy. Yep it’s there alright, although seeing the garden beds empty had us worried at first.
Thanks for bringing us here.

Wow , what a great park. Thanks for bringing us here . Throughout the old wet log, we found a waterproof log in the very bottom of the cache.. tftc All good here now
Enjoyed reading about Duncan and "meeting him in person". TFTC Liz and Bruce
Came and said hi to Duncan, and before 6am on a public holiday long weekend, Mr CNQ was about the only one. He wasn't very talkative though, mustn't be a morning person. Found the cache, left a new log sheet wrapped around the old one which was frayed and fragile. Thanks for the cache Liz and Bruce.
So having seen the nearby Story Bank and statue, stopped here at the park for a picnic lunch (with the obvious target of picking up a cache after lunch!)
his cache is very wet, but still able to get a signature on it.
Loved looking at the memorial, and will definitely come back here to look at it in more detail - was very interesting!!
Thanks to CO for placing this.

After visiting the Story Bank, and Mary Poppins, it being lunch time, and the nearby park has shady picnic tables, we came here to have lunch, and also say Hi to Duncan, the GPSr was showing me to be about 6 metres west of where I should have been, but phone pointed to GZ. Thanks Liz and Bruce, all is in good condition
Soon spotted this one while wandering round in the rain today - signed log and returned as found. TFTC Liz and Bruce
Today we're on the grand tour of Maryborough, accompanied by our friendly hosts Liz and Bruce.

We travelled 8,500km through 5 states for a 60th birthday party over approx. 6 weeks. We endured many days over 35C and then saw a lot of water in the eastern states. We enjoyed travelling east with family and then they travelled back to Alice and we made our way home to SA, trying to dodge the rain and wet weather.
Caching is a great way to see the many wonderful sights and learn about the places we are travelling through.
Thank you to those who take the time to hide caches

Hi!!!
Clever cache.
Sandyofthesea and I took off from Perth at the start of April to travel more of Australia using geocaching as a guide to see the sights. How good is this country!!

Accurate coordinates made this a quick find , all's good at gz . Thanks Liz and Bruce
Mrs SKI was right onto this one and had it retrieved before I could look around.
As we moved locations it was only a short trip from Hervey Bay where we may get the opportunity to mingle with some caching royalty and also catch up with a few other cachers we know.
We stopped en route to collect a few cachers that were achievable with a caravan in tow and then parked up at the free camp in the middle of town so we could walk the CBD. What a great facility for travelers! The town was most enjoyable with its older buildings and some lovely parks. Its history and features are well laid out and make for an interesting place to visit.
There were a number of Adventure Labs to complete and a range of traditionals and puzzles.
A day well spent.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Liz and Bruce.
